Post Seventeen. Writing Struggle. Family vs. career... Making it as an author is probably the hardest dream anyone will ever persue. Do I use my free time to read, draw or edit? Do I interact on social media. Do I clean my house? Do I walk my dogs? Do I practice free verse? Do I vblog about neglecting my child's Jujitsu competition for writing? This weekend my answer is: None of the above. This weekend I didn't achieve any author gains. I hiked until my chest burned and my shins we're chaffed raw by stinging nettle. I rode bikes with my kids. I swam in rock pools and ate friend mushrooms over a camp fire. I refilled my cup. Next week might see me investing time in my writing career again. Who knows.
