It is equipped with Offenhauser speed equipment, including aluminum high-compression heads. This American-built fiberglass sports car rides on a 1940s Ford frame with a dropped front axle, and the engine is installed in the same location as it was originally intended. This 1955 LeGene Californian has been on display in a climate-controlled museum since its comprehensive restoration in 2009. That post about Ray makes me wonder if I'm the only one here who's seen AmeriCarna? A show on Velocity, it's hosted by Ray Evernham in which he digs into America's automotive past ranging from visiting notable moments in automotive and auto racing, to searching for and restoring classic racecars and other automobiles. One of my favorite episodes involved him helping restore Marty Robbins' old stock car, Marty being both a racer and famous country music singer from way back in the day.

That show sounds amazing!!! I don’t have TV so unfortunately I have seen no shows. :( My experience of TV is limited to scrolling through channels in motel rooms. (Which–that whole Iowa–>Nebraska corridor? SO MUCH CAR TV. On channels you can actually access in a motel! I got to see a NASCAR truck race and everything. 👀)

But I digress. AmeriCarna sounds awesome! I’ll even forgive the terrible title pun. I’d totally watch that if they like, put it on Netflix or something. It sounds like it would actually have good content–so many of these shows just… don’t. XD
