"Ah sorry I don't uh...ah this is awkward."
It was bad enough Kikuri was almost always intoxicated, only focusing on what's in front of her. But then came someone she had never seen before and they were talking in a language she had the slightest clue of either.
"Wait lemme try this." She took out the phone from her side, flicking through the pages before finding what the bassist needed and holding it back up. "Okay! So say what you were gonna ask me again."

Tutoring did come naturally to the fae knight, but that usually involved fighting someone else. Another language was not something Mélusine could say she was an expert but there had to be some way to at least help the young woman get by, even for a short while.
"Alright where do we even begin with this..." Basic phrases. They didn't need to push into territories where everyone would get confused just yet.
"My name is Melusine." She said, pointing to herself in the middle of the phrase before pointing over to her. "You said your name was Beatrix."
Following her around, she seemed that it was an unknown language from Melusine. Is it English or something? She had no clue. Therefore, if this is the only way perhaps she will have to do so.
Basic conversation. This will be helpful, kinda.
"Ok. Ich hoffe, dass ich daraus etwas lernen kann." She can't wait if this will progress her or not.

Well that really didn't make it any easier to try and speak with her. But it also wasn't going to help anyone else unless they knew German to understand her either. The least the servant could do is at least help them in some capacity, even if Mélusine didn't quite know how to do that.
"Melusine. Es ist mir ein Vergnügen Beatrix." The young knight held a hand out, offering to walk alongside her while also trying to speak as slow as possible waning back to her usual self.
"Maybe I should help you with having a basic conversation..."
"Tut mir leid, es ist die einzige Sprache, die ich gut kenne, denn ich bin dort geboren." Can't blame Beatrix for being the only foreigner who only survives in a world full of zombies along with three people who was only living to survive as well. It was like having a huge language barrier between her and her Japanese friends that left behind.
Perhaps, improving her second language and third will suffice if she can find some books to improve the ones she's really bad at.
"Wie heißen Sie eigentlich? Ich bin Beatrix Amerhauser." She introduced herself in a friendly manner, despite the other's main language is not German.

Just hearing that zombies got involved in her world was strange to say the least. She knew they existed in some of the singularities but never to the extent of the entire world being overrun. Some dark future it sounded like that much was for sure.
"Es war sicher schwer." Still being thrown here probably didn't make it any better especially if there were people back in her world.
"Sprichst du andere Sprachen? Deutsch ist nicht meine Muttersprache."
Least one can understand German properly as Beatrix does since she was born there. Maybe the eclipse was a miracle to be freed from a zombified world but Akira, Shizuka and Keniichirou needs her. Without her, they might be dead or be zombies.
This place enough makes her homesick without Japan.
"Ja, ich komme aus einer anderen Welt oder so. Nur dass meine von einer Zombie-Epidemie überrannt wurde. Das hat so viele Menschenleben gekostet." It was a heavy heart when she speaks of her world, turned into a living hell for the living.

It was certainly a new experience to have someone talk in a completely different language than what Mélusine was used to. But then again, most servants spoke in what they were comfortable with or what helped Master. Even if the grail gave them the knowledge to communicate with anyone should the need to arise...
"Ah, Sie befinden sich in einer anderen Welt. Sind Sie neu hier?" For someone who never used another language it rolled right off the tongue.

"Das ist nicht der Ort, den ich hier erwartet habe…" Beatrix sighs as she was separated by her friends amidst the outbreak happening at Japan, might as well the whole world where she belongs. As she checked her weapon, she groaned as it was a wooden spear and lost her katana and bow... to add in salt to the wound, her armor and helm.
And now her life in this place is isekai as the place she's living in is now a fantasy land and someone else was there, greeting in her native tongue.
"Hallo, wissen Sie, wo sich dieser Ort befindet?" Gotta be friendly... and practice a new language as well.

"Oh you're hungry!" Between the rumbling of her stomach and the phone translating it back to Kikuri it was pretty undeniable that was the case. "You should've just said that from the start. Or well I guess you did I just couldn't really understand it."
Regardless the girl was hungry and even if she did find a place to eat it was doubtful anyone was going to understand a single word of a language they didn't know. So fortunately (or unfortunately) it fell onto Kikuri.
"What about a burger then? Unless you are vegetarian or something like that. It could be my treat!"
One thing's for sure, Beatrix might be hungry or something asides from smelling like blood. Judging by this girl with the bass, she seems not infected or bitten... also not immune as well.
Knowing Japanese isn't her native langue than German, this hoped to end properly without making the other looked bafflingly confused.
"Gibt es hier in der Nähe eine Gaststätte? Ich bin aus irgendeinem Grund hungrig." Yep, that's the sound of hunger coming from her.
