“Surfing through tough waves” doesn’t sound very good. Retiring? Why?

He said it because he kind of got swallowed by the ocean the first time he went surfing. It's kind of a year or so earlier than what he planned, but the admin's suggesting it, he's considering it and I hate it.

Good to know. Sorry, it's just I've been.. surfing through tough waves, as my dad puts it. He's kind of adjusting to what his life would be after he teaches at Thompson since he plans on retiring soon.. hence the ocean talk and stuff. >_>
