Even though Amelia seems strong on the outside, she has a weakness for drugs and this started ever since she was touched by her father when his life began to swirl downwards starting with the loss of his wife and eventual career. Her story:

Amelia Baker, born and raised in Miami, Florida. She was all about the beach life, during the summer she could always be found on the sand with her mother and younger sister. However, this came to an abrupt end after their mother was killed. When she began noticing the changes in their father, she was left alone to deal with the abuse after he lost his job from allowing alcohol to consume his life. When her younger sister escaped the hell, allowing their aunt to adopt her. She tried not to have any resentment but it was hard when she was left to take all the abuse on her own. She was able to handle the physical and verbal abuse but when he began touching her late at night, she left one night when he was passed out drunk and never came back. She's now in Cali, looking for her baby sister.

[Peacebloom]:

•Very common daisy that could be found almost anywhere in Azeroth.

•Has many medicinal uses, such as anti-inflammatory properties, reduce bruising, swelling and can ease pain.

•Safe to use during pregnancy and is known to ease pregnancy-related discomfort and mood swings.

•Commonly taken as tea for headaches or to calm the nerves.

[Stranglekelp]:

•One of the more dangerous plants on Azeroth, Stranglekelp is a green kelp that grows underwater along most coastlines in shallow waters.

•Very strong healing powers.

•Works very well when mixed with other herbs, bringing out their more powerful stimulants.

•Can be chewed to induce vomiting.

•Tastes very salty.

Swiftthistle:

•Found around Mageroyal and Briarthorn – Take care when harvesting as it is parasitic: wear gloves.

•Very sugary and sweet to taste.

•When added to tea it can produce a short boost to energy.

•Known not only for its energizing properties. It is a general stimulant, and taken in smaller doses can improve alertness.

Aloe Thistle:

•Found in the lush wildlands of Desolace.

•Similar when compared to a cactus leaf.

•Can be consumed in small quantities.

[Ancient Lichen]:

•Fungus.

•Similar to Grave Moss, feeds off decaying matter.

•Found on lumbering fungal giants of Outland – mostly Zangarmarsh. Pain killer.

[Dreaming Glory]:

•Found all through Outland, dubbed one of the most beautiful flowers to grow due to its glowing attributes.

•Petals and pollen used for anti-inflammatory, antiseptic salve.

•Natural oils benefits for the skin – quite like a moisturizer.

•Assists with abdominal cramps when made with tea.

[Briarthorn]:

•Found in dark, shady areas and is often mistaken for a dead plant.

•Proper protective equipment should be used when harvesting as the spines are extremely sharp.

•Believed to grow in places where the Anciet Agamaggan’s blood was spilled during the war of the Ancients.

•VERY Strong healing agent for grave wounds. Rumoured to be able to mimic the regenerative powers trolls possess, especially when taken morning and night until the desired result is achieved.

Goldthorn:

•Found atop hillsides in partial sunlight.

•Perfect for teas – cold or hot – and has been found to be invigorating.

•Goldthorn gel is soothing, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and stimulates skin regeneration

 Blindweed:

•Found in warm, damp, marshy areas – such as Swamp of Sorrows. Perfect for a home garder with their bright flowers.

•Root can be used for magic-amplifying and conducting properties.

•Flower buds may be dried and ground into fine powder and applied to external wounds.

Mageroyal:

•Mageroyal most commonly grows in open plains and does best in direct sunlight.

•Unusually high mana concentration.

•Essential oil derived from Mageroyal can be used to treat headaches.

•Infusion of the dried plant used when cold, makes one of the best hairwashes known. (Smells good too.)

Liferoot:

•Found near fresh water. Often mistaken for Earthroot.

•Nullifies toxins when consumed, dried and powered and applied directly to wounds.

•Tastes sweet.

•Strong healing properties when mixed with other herbs like Peacebloom.

Medicinal Notes by Amelia Baker

((These are just some fun ways I have interpreted/gathered information from common herbs in World of Warcraft and their uses for potions for my RP character!))

<Inside the pages of the book looked to be a catalogue of varies herbs and their properties, along with their medicinal effects. The writing looked a bit rushed and there were ink and colourful stains on the pages.> I have finally put together all the properties of the herbs I have found uses for over the years I was left to my own devices. The world offers a lot of natural wonders for us to use but we don't often do. Not that I am knocking healers I just... Lack the capacity to invoke the Light in such ways; but I want to help. Here are my musings, should anyone ever find this book left unattended. Herbs I have frequently used: Stranglekelp – Believed to have poisonous properties. Can be eaten. Strong healing powers. Other herbs can cause different reactions when mixed. Stimulant. Liferoot – Has natural healing properties. Tastes sweet. (Mild hallucinogenic in large quantities.) Peacebloom – Natural healing properties. Smells good. Earthroot – Believed to induce visions. Skin can be used to strengthen elixirs. Aloe Thistle – Can be eaten, though too much consumption causes stomach problems. Can be used as a salve for burns. Ancient Lichen – Soothing properties. Temporary and significant increase for pain tolerance. Briarthorn – Increases the effectiveness of certain herbs when combined. Strong healing agent. Dreaming Glory – Pollen can be used as antiseptic, anti-inflammatory salve. Goldthorn – Nice in tea. Invigorating properties. Burn remedy. Blindweed – Magic-amplifying and conducting properties. Mageroyal – Magical properties. When used with Swiftthistle increases the potency of potions. Swiftthistle – Energizing properties. Stimulant. Healing potion: Combine Liferoot and Briarthorn’s natural healing properties with Stranglekelp as a stimulant to produce a very effective healing potion. Take once a day so not to stress the body. I found this potion very effective for a quick fix for ones body when a healer is not handy. It repairs slowly but it will stop bleeding in a pinch and allow for the body to work its magic. Overuse has seen patients’ heart rate increase dangerously. Perhaps it is best used once a day. Rejuvenation potion: Combine Swifthistle, Ancient Lichen, Goldthorn and Stranglekelp together to produce a potion that will help with wounds while in battle while keeping the patient alert. Over usage will result in heart failure. Ah, this one works very well in the midst of battle. I often find myself tossing them around when someone in the party is wounded - not gravely - and needs to continue the good fight. Helps to for a temporary fix and heightens senses. Like the Healing Potion though, over use has seen people collapse in battle with heart failure. Oops. Mana potion: Combine Stranglekelp with Mageroyal to produce a strong regenerative tonic for temporary increase of magical capability. Over usage could result in addiction. Every spellcaster knows the exhaustion that comes from firing off spells like no tomorrow. The Mageroyal's natural magical properties combined with the stimulant from Stranglekelp has proven to help regenerate your spirit's mana pool for a short time... Alas, I have seen some mages fall to addiction of the constant magic flow. Restrict your usage. Minor injury salve: Combine Ancient Lichen, Dreaming Glory and Peacebloom over open wounds before bandaging. Allow to stay on skin for twelve hours before bathing. Very typical healing salve. Simple, brownish paste, to spread over minor wounds and bandage for a few hours. Why use magic when nature provides? Burn salve: Combine Aloe Thistle, Ancient Lichen and Dreaming glory onto effected area. Allow to heal in open air if not too severe. I am sure my keeper hates and loves this salve. For all the burns he had... It sure helped with the pain and slow healing process. Make sure if bandaging is needed that they are not wrapped too tightly to stick to the salve and cause damage when removed. I really must restock my medicine bag with fresh bandages...
