Oc talk: Amelia Rosewood

Hello and hi! I wanted to make this post to talk about one of my manny Black butler oc’s Amelia now this character that I had created probably has gone through the most but also the lest development over the years and such. As I believe when I first created was when I made my first ever fanfic on Wattpad. Ofc it was bad as any middle schoolers fanfic would be lol. But that was when she was first created. In that story she played sort of like the stereotypical mean girl when my main Oc Luna but more so her actions in that old fic weren’t necessarily out of malice but because she was a child that didn’t understand social skills or boundaries. Her personality used to be drastically different as well very boastful and confident and a bit bratty and pouty. But now of days her personality is now completely different. I found some old art of Amelia as well.

With Amelia‘s recent characterization, she is just a sweetheart that tries to make everybody feel included. She’s also a real girls girl and probably would be best friends with Elizabeth if they ever did meet each other. She’s really bubbly and sweet with everyone and love’s romance novels and literature. She is the type to talk about books for hours and hours on end. She’s what I call sunshine baby in my drafts because she is just a character that is full of light. She is also someone who is on the ace spectrum as well! While she tends to get flustered on topics that tend to be more explicit then the normal novels that she would read she isn’t downright disgusted or repulsed by sex. She’s the type that could never see herself in a sexual way in her romantic relationships. Amelia is also a walking sapphic disaster like she is someone who just fines every woman beautiful and will have long daydreams on her crushes. She also will try and bring up any of her friends as well if there feeling insecure and will put her feeling aside in terms of romance if one of her friends have romantic feelings on one of her crushes.

In terms of her background and backstory she was a part of one of the many aristocratic families that were known for making herbal tea mainly useing different flowers and herbs that they have grown in there home. But due to Amelia being born out of wedlock her parents had given her away and abandoned her by the orphanage that took her in. She lived her life in normal helping the other children feel welcomed seeing every child as her family and her siblings and happy seeing them find their own families. But she dose have her own struggles such as her being the one that is never chosen or is wanted. And while she has these struggles she trying her best to overcome them.

So, for one of my grad school classes I'll be workshopping the first chapter of a novel and today I have to submit the first two sentences. I have some options but I need opinions! (Note: the first one needs to be edited because it's technically part of an AOT wip I never got around to publishing, but I like it a lot and feel like I can do something with it.)

The Eichel-Haas Hattery has been located in the small commercial district of Liberio’s Internment Zone for the better part of seventy years since great-grandfather Adelhard Eichel-Haas opened the business in 773. Residing just across the street from the newspaper, which has been boarded up and out of print since old Lorenz Dreher was dragged into the streets and shot by the military police three years ago for publishing libel and propaganda against Marley, and the delightful bakery owned by Lotte Volk which, on rare occasions, has been known to sell apple strudel, the hattery has a steady stream of customers that peruse the shop each week.

Down in Dublyth they say the Calloway brothers have empty chests and soot-stained lungs. Leon Calloway coughs up coal dust, his hands scarred and stained black no matter how hard he scrubs them clean.

The Calloway boys have never once listened to what’s good for them. They all shake hands with the gods and devils down in Dublyth.

It's a bitterly cold November night when nine-year-old Holly Tate disappears from her bedroom, leaving behind wildflowers that bloom through the cracks in the floorboards and ivy that winds across the walls. Everyone in Rosewood finds a way to blame Isaac Bellamy.

The wanderer lurking behind Aunt Beatrix’s home has no eyes but watches her anyway. Raw, empty sockets peer at Amelia from over the garden wall as the creature digs sharp claws into its pale, hollow cheeks with a soundless scream; Amelia watches back.

Delphine wakes in the shallows. Dozens of tiny wishing stars bob along the water’s surface as the tides lap at her skin, reflecting in shades of sunrise gold.

Amelia is the circus's magician! She doesn't have a stage name however fans like to call her Amelia the great, she is a pretty popular gal so Kai was a little shocked when she accepted to join the circus. She’s the most chaotic and loud person in the group (especially when it comes to her magic shows) but she can get serious when she has to but for the most part she’s pretty silly and fun. Her favorite food is short cake and she likes the color red. Amelia was raised in the countryside so she has an accent. At first he hated her accent and tried to hide it but Kai told her she sounded good with the accent so she stuck with it. However even being fan favorite she’s probably broken a lot of laws with her magic shows. (she likes to be a little too extreme…)

What was the most meaningful relationship (platonic or romantic) your character has had with another person? Why was it so meaningful? Ultimately, what happens to this relationship?

Tabby

Michael: her step-dad. The man who raised her when no one else would. Her first real friend and the only one she came to respect on her own without being forced too. Set up her core foundation of who she was today and raised to become what she is now. The main source of her trauma. Very estranged now.

Adam: Her baby brother her pride and joy. She was forced to raise him at 9 since he was born. He is her living proof that she is not a monster and a bad person contrary to her step dad's belief. For how can someone so bad raise someone so good? Eventually they come back into each other's lives.

Horatio: The first person she ever met at Rosewood. became rivals and became each others equals. Also a main source of trauma and the bane of her existence. Taught her heart break and betrayal and that there is more than meets the eye. How to humanize people. That you can't save everyone if they don't want to be saved. They become sworn enemies again.

Autumn: Her best friend. Her second in command. her big sister. her human diary. Her other half. Pick one and go with it. The person who taught her what love, home, understanding and acceptance was. She balanced out Tabby's darker tendencies from her step dad. Would become the basis for what moral compass she has. Unfortunately death has kept them apart.

Toby: The boy who unknowingly saved her in more ways than one.Her savior and they one she grew to fall l in love with. Taught her that a second chance comes with everything, There is more to life than being a proxy and that you have relatively good people around you if you look hard enough. I can't give spoilers for ERHIT but it's becoming something worth while.

Chase:

Connor: the boy who was by his side since day 1 in the orphanage. His best friend and soul mate. He showed him that he wasn't a monster and not to fear him. He never had that before in his life. For once he had something to fight for. Unfortunately due to trauma and tragic events they're both dead and become very estranged.

Sister Mary-Angela: the nun that took care of him and Connor. The seemingly only good one in that place. She gave them a mother figure that they both could trust and rely on. Unfortunately she dies for them and they both mourn her greatly.

Connor:

Chase: his first real friend at the orphanage and his first real love. He never strayed too far from his side and fought for him. They're unfortunately very estranged now.

Sister Mary-Angela: same as chase up above

Juliet:

Louisa Monroe: her mother and one of the few family members she was close to. Definitely a mommy's girl. Gave her the doll that looks just like her and the only thing that she has left of her mom. One day she walked out on them and never came back. Needless to say I think they would be very estranged.

Evan Monroe: her older brother by 4 years. The second one she was closest to after their mother left. Only for a bit of course. Until their step mother came into the picture and began to turn on her. Needless to say they hate each other.

Fallax: a friend. A demon who haunts the abandoned carnival grounds that Evan forces juliet to explore every night. Her first true friend and savior from her broken home. They're relationship is very good very much a guardian/mentor/apprentice type of relationship.

Robbecca:

Tbh I haven't done enough development for her to answer that question.

Amelia:

The college gangTM (Smiley, EJ, and Locklear): her friend group all throughout college and med school. EJ was the baby of the group. Locklear was an honorary member, and Smiley was her first love, although they were never officially together. They helped each other grow and develop. Until the death of EJ and then the group became distant and disolved. They were very estranged for a while after getting the group together in nearly 20+ years, but they're currently working on mending their relationship with each other. It's not perfect buy its a work in progress.

Anna: her lifeboat and savior after the group. Was there when she lost her medical license and got her in the medical cult to get it back. She turned out to be a back stabbing bitch so amelia killed her.

The cult: her one hope to getting her medical license back. She never truly belonged there but it was all she got left. Eventually she got out by killing all of them.

Oh, damn, the fates sussed out my fraught love/hate relationship with S8 and gave me 'LARP and the Real Girl'. Which I haven't watched in a dog's age, so here we go... First off, JUSTICE FOR SAM'S SEASON EIGHT HAIR. I just had to get that out of the way. Sam and Dean are both v pretty in this episode. Of this, I approve. Five minutes in, we have the boys driving through the dark of night, and Dean—in a moment of conciliation—suggests they take it off. Catch a movie or a bar or two. (Date night, much?) But Garth cockblocks the plans by Garth-ing them with a phone call, having tracked their location and assigning a case. Sam is surly; he and Dean are still spatting about the whole cheating-with-Amelia-and-Benny- respectively thing. Agents “Taggart” and “Rosewood” hit Michigan, where a dude has been drawn and quartered in his locked bedroom, leading to one of my favorite all-time SPN quotes by an incidental character, ever:

Fun fact: I met my husband while LARPing. Ah, so young and nerdy. And at the time, it was awesome, Dean, my man. You're right. Anywho, Sam is a sourpuss, Dean swaggers in his chainmail, a dumb fight ensues, Sam is choked out by an animated suit of armor while Dean does all the fighting and Charlie saves the day (ahhh, Robbie Thompson, you never change). But Dean does manage to grok what Sam left behind for them to get back together. THE BOYS ARE BACK TOGETHER. And Sam finally concedes to have a little fun. And a ponytail. *happy sigh* All's well that ends well!

Name: Luna reaper

Eye color: Light brown (Other eye got gouged out)

Hair type: Short light brown hair

Scars: Luna has many scars from the military. The reason why you don’t see the scars well the smaller scars is because she uses her makeup to conceal them all That’s why if you touch her in these places she will either flinch as these places are very sensitive. The only scar that she can’t conceal is the one of her left eye.

Personality: her personality is very complicated mainly because she has a switch from different ones to adapt and survive the setting she’s in though her personality is mainly all the mixed together.

When she’s at the Phantomhive manor: Caring,Shy, a bit clumsy, soft-spoken, polite

When she’s at the Casino: very confident, A bit flirty, Cocky, very much a risk taker

When she’s at the Noah’s ark circus: she’s a very mature soft-spoken and polite self when first meeting her but when you get to know her she is like a bottle of energy that brings people together.

When she’s at the All Saints orphanage: she is very cautious and distance those she still polite but not out of wanting to be nice but out of not wanting to get yelled at.

When she is by herself: when she’s by her self in her room she feels numb and she hast to do something to get away at that numbness like investing in her hobbies or her vices.

Weapon: She sometimes uses a small pocket knife, while there are times were the girl will use guns Luna only dose so when needed.

How they meet Luna: she met Luna when she was at the all Saints orphanage showing her around, she was very intrigued with the girl as there weren’t that many girls in the orphanage that acted like how Luna acted. She really wanted to be friends with her but didn’t know how to approach her without being rude so she asked Lillian her best friend to introduce them to one another.

Personality: confident, a bit loud, kind to others, caring for her sister, very outgoing, and also a hot head at times

Appearance: when she was human she has a long Orange hair, Spring green eyes, and peach skin. When she became a reaper everything about her was the same except her hair color changed to black and her eyes became greener.

Likes: She likes to read her books, study for upcoming tests, subjects such as history or math, and her friends

Dislikes: Luna, her mother, the classmates that bully her

Favorite colors: her favorite colors are pink and purple which was the uniform she was wearing in the All Saints orphanage. Now she knows Luna hates those colors because of past trauma and tries to wear them around her at all times.

Backstory: Their mother Charlotte a reaper had a one night stand with a human that was on the To die List. Of course Charlotte got pregnant and Crimson helped with the pregnancy after Raven‘s father died because what Charlotte Raven did was illegal because they didn’t get the council consent to marry after Raven was born Charlotte wanted to kill Raven to get rid of evidencebut Crimson being part human protested but soon Made a compromise to abandon her at the orphanage.

Why they hate Luna: for being the daughter of Crimson reaper, getting bullied less then her, and strangling her when Raven provoked her to. Because of these reasons she hates her with a burning passion she often fantasize when Luna tortured in the most brutal ways.

How they meet Luna: When they were human they met Luna in the All Saints orphanage with her best friend Amelia Rosewood. She even manipulated her to take her own life to frame that Luna killed her. Now when she was a reaper she referred herself as her last name now in the orphanage everyone just called each other by their first name as since there is soon to be adopted their last name didn’t matter, they met when Luna was looking around the dorm and showed her around pretending not to know her.

Backstory: Catherine is from a noble family, her parents wanted a boy so when they got a girl as there first child they were more then a bit disappointed. But they still loved her nonetheless teaching her things such as complex literature, and skills for her to be the next heir to her family’s company. This has caused Catherine to become a perfectionist and mature at an early age, so when her little sister was born. She was a more then a bit jealous when her parents over-doted on her letting her to be able to have a childhood of play without work. One day when she was taking her sister to town a they got trapped and lost in the crowd.

How they meet Luna: she met Luna when she was intending a ball that she was hosting and she invited Ciel as she took an interest at him, wanting to maybe talk business with him. Ciel brought Luna with him as he doesn’t want to leave her alone as she’s still recovering from her injuries. She met Luna as she saw her on the side not enjoying the party she had thrown just talking to her sister.

Ranking: Catherine rosewood is a countess of the rose family who specializes in making and shipping rose tea across the country.

Personality: confident, rude to some kind to others, caring for her sister, prideful, and devious.

Backstory: Her family is in the higher class and they have been working for the Tracy and the Phantomhive family for years. Her father just wants power so she try’s to make her get with Ciel but he couldn’t because of him already having a fiancé but sents Cynthia knows Alois and because she wants to be with him because she loves him. She was very sheltered when she was younger to the point were she thinks that she is the only one with any kind of suffering. And because of that she thinks that she is the only one who had problems.

Why they hate Luna: She dislikes the lower class and Ciel’s servants because she considers them to be not good and lazy because Ciel is more lenient to them compared to Alois who is more strict and gives out punishments if they do something wrong like braking a plate or look at the ones that they serve. Because of how sheltered she is she’s very entitled and thinks the world revolves around her and she thinks that she is the only one with pain so when she sees Luna she’s rather rude to her because even though she doesn’t wear colorful clothing like Luna, Luna is for a bit more boyish then Cynthia.

Backstory: When he was a young boy he was out on the streets as he was separated from his brother after his parents divorce Samuel went to his father Who was a nobleman and Lawrence went with his mother who was in the working class, his mother later passed away from sickness and that’s what made him go in the streets as his father wouldn’t take him.

Appearance: A short tough boy with messy blonde hair and orange like eyes.

Likes: drinking, talking with Luna, when Luna is happy, and watching people gamble(especially enjoys it when Luna wins and the other people lose).

Dislikes Not being able to drink his booze, Ciel or anyone talking with luna,when Luna loses or gets hurt, when people address him as Samuel instead of Sam, and nobles.

Favorite colors: light Green

Personality: Can be rude and snappy sometimes and will yell out of anger but has a nicer side if he trusts you. He his very prideful of himself as he is a family member of another Italian Mafia. He is also very perverted to English ladies and just women in general.

Backstory: before Samuel and his brother was were separated he and his father did not have a good relationship as he got his father‘s anger issues and his father would often yell at him. That was one of the main reasons why the wife divorced her husband and went back to her home taking Lawrence with her (This was before Lawrence transition) , the reason why his father took Samuel is because he looks more like him with the same hair color and Eye color is the drinking got more severe he often beat him when he was being “reckless” or rude.

Iris Chisholm grew up in the modern age. She always felt like there was something more out there for her. When her grandmother passed away she had to move back to London. A old Bible holds more than just hems and verses. What will happen when Iris discoverers, she is not who everyone thought her to be?

Chapter 1

It was autumn in New York she cold crisp breeze sending chills down your spine. The trees in Central Park turning colors before shedding their leaves. The sound of children running and playing while you sip on a warm cup of coffee. This is what made the young Chisholm feel happy. Iris is a Historian for the museum of arts. She loves old paintings and sculptures. While working one day the young raven haired girl receives news that brings tears to her lavender eyes. Her grandmother who has raised her had died. So she puts in a leap of absence and heads home to London. The old manner house was built in the Victorian era buy the founder of Chisholm greenhouse. Sir Leon Albert Chisholm and his wife Amelia Rosewood Chisholm. The manner and business has been passed down for generations and now it's mine. The outside was porcelain white with Rose vines creeping up the walls. 50,000 Akers of land lind with beautiful gardens of different flowers. There is also a vegetable garden for the poor folks of London. This was started by Amelia due to her coming from humble beginnings. She was what people back then would have thought to be a earth born angel for her kindness. The only thing is there has been this one creepy butler that has been serving our family for generations. They say he is immortal but I think its just a family thing. "My dear Miss Chisholm I am sorry for the passing of Agatha. She was truly a kind and noble woman." The butler said bowing to me. I sigh knowing he was right. My grandmother didn't have to take me in. My mother ran off with someone my grandfather disapproved of. My grandmother took me in because my grandfather said it was not my fault my mother didn't listen. Though we didn't have a good relationship, I still respected him he was my grandfather after all. "Yes but at least she is not suffering anymore. Let's go in and get somethings in order before it gets to late." I said gently to the raven haired male. His wine colored eyes look at me in shock. "Yes ma'am right away." He said now towering over me. I was not short but 5ft 7" compared to 6ft 3"  yeah there is a difference. The walls had a cream color with a gold trim. The smell of pineapple fritters filled the air. While walking I bump into the butler in training. He had an eye patch and a beautiful blue eye. His hair was an ash color. He was the average height for a twelve year old. "I am so sorry Ciel let me help you." I said picking up the bucket. "No miss it was my fault for standing in the way." He said blushing looking away. "Come on lets go steal a fritter. I will say it was me this time." I said with a wink.
