Eddie, being the son of Loki and learning how to use magic. He quickly discovered the joy of using genderfluid magic that his mother used. Whether man or woman, Loki was his mother and had given birth to Eddie. Although Eddie had gotten into his head that he had to be a woman in order for Steve to like him. They were making out with Steve on top when Eddie discovered that it wasn't true.

"So, you like me being a woman?" Eddie asked and Steve pulled away from kissing Eddie's neck.

"I like you period, whether you're a man or a woman," Steve scoffed. "Or ambiguously in between. I like you and I like both."

"Right. So, do you want me to change back?" Eddie asked.

"Do you want to change back?" He asked.

"No. I like being a woman today," she replied.

"Then be a woman, and if you decide you feel like a man some other day, I'll be there to like it too," Steve said. "What did your mother call it again?"

"Genderfluid," she replied.

"I think it's pretty awesome," Steve said and Eddie grinned.

"It is cool," Eddie said. "It's still a queer relationship, right?"

"Duh!" Steve grinned and Eddie laughed.

Eddie flipped him so he was lying on his back and she was on top.

"I love you, Steve Harrington," Eddie said.

"I love you too," Steve grinned. "No matter what form you're in."

"Would you still love me if I was a worm?" Eddie asked.

"Oh my God! Do not turn into a worm! Do NOT! Oh my God! You did it anyway!"

steve, robin, chrissy, and nancy starting a band together. each have their own kind of more classical musical training with robin being in marching band and steve, chrissy, and nancy all having Rich People Music Lessons as children, but everyone's shocked when they decide to turn that talent towards a punk band called Baby and the Girls

and they start off kind of small, with their Gimmick being the disconnect between their more prep/normie visual aesthetic and the angry, violent tone of their music. steve's the singer (he has a lovely voice, kind of warm and croony until he really starts screaming), chrissys the drummer (she's so tiny you can barely see her behind that thing), nancys the bassist (solid, dependable, gets a little smile on her face whenever she's got a particularly sexy baseline bc she knows the bass is what makes a song a fuck song), and robins on guitar (and keyboard, and violin, and one time an accordion which is still her favourite song to perform. basically whatever other instrument the song calls for she's got it)

and they get kind of a following not just for their angry music criticising the government and society and the like, but also because of how unabashedly queer they are. chrissy/nancy/robin have all visibly flirted with each other during concerts and no one's quite sure what the deal is there. steve performs like 75% of their shows in full drag as Baby (hence the band name) and winks flirtatiously at both male and female audience members alike

eventually they get Real Big, and get signed to an actual record label. despite knowing how queer they were before signing them, it's still like the early 90s so the label makes them tone it down a bit. song lyrics get a little more ambiguous (but not if you actually like. listen to them. i mean steve sings about eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables in a way that like. We All Know What The Peach Is Steven), steve's not allowed to perform in drag anymore (although he does lose a suspicious amount of bets whose forfeits 'force' him to perform in a dress. new fans are baffled at how bad this guy is at bets), and the band name has to change, becoming Stevie and the Girls (the label wanted it to just be 'steve' but they compromised)

and over the course of their career, at some point they end up on a talk show with the Other Band From Hawkins, corroded coffin. the host is clearly angling for a punk/metal standoff, maybe Known Non-conformist eddie munson will call them posers for wearing so many pastel colours, or since everyone knows that steve chris and nancy at least used to be pretty popular in high school maybe there's some lasting high school drama to up their ratings

and yeah, their ratings skyrocket for that episode, but only bc steve and eddie reveal they've been dating since 1987

Piano teacher Stevie being a little bit older, a lot single. Just divorced from a man who didn’t give a fuck about her, now discovering she might like women. Working different jobs despite having generational wealth, just for the fun of it. She meets a nice family that’s pretty eccentric. They’re three girls. The mom is nice enough if not a bit too strict on her kids.

And she has a daughter who is in college. A daughter who is ambiguous in a way that scares Stevie. With long curly hair, lots of rings and necklaces and black eyeliner. A smirk to her mouth like she knows something Stevie doesn’t.

Eddie Munson insists on being called Eddie. She owns more than one skateboard. She’s going to school for counseling, despite her mother hating the idea. She’s in the queer alliance. She openly talks about her hook ups.

Steve is slowly losing it and everyone just thinks she’s straight because why wouldn’t they think that? When has anyone even asked?

Then of course, Eddie would have to ask.

I really, really try! I want to answer to all of them because every single comment means so much to me. But I'm also at around 500 unanswered notifs on AO3 (not all are comments, some are replies on my comments) and it may take a while to catch up 🫣

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ufff, pretty sure that's we pass the ghosts that haunt us later. The ending is ambiguous, but was angsty enough that @legitcookie demanded it to be fixed...

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

... which led to us co-writing the next part I wore his jacket for the longest time with a happy ending that to me at least feels like the most satisfying happy endings of all of my fics.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

So far I haven't, my experience with fandom has been entirely positive and wonderful 💜

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Juuuuup. Love it. I think most of my fics are rated explicit. I had a phase in which I mostly wrote pwps, trying my hand on more comedy and romance but I feel like writing smut might be my calling 😂

10. Do you write crossovers?

I wrote one, a crossover between Stranger Things and Fargo S5. It's a metaldeputy fic (Gator Tillman and Eddie Munson) called caught in the careless arms of lust again

Not that I know of at least.

Yes, two have been translated to Russian.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! With @legitcookie and with @yournowheregirl, and it's amazing. I loved it and would definitely do it again.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

I think steddie, it just really scratches an itch I didn't even know I had.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

Uffff, good question. I would never say never tbh. And I don't have many WIPs. Maybe the Time Travel threesome fic (Eddie/Eddie/Steve) I started with Jen. Still loving the idea but not sure when I'll be able to get back to that.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Smut, I think? And a few people told me I'm good at vivid descriptions.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long sentences. Dialogue. As stupid as it sounds, plot? Like, world building and coming up with a complex plot.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

So fucking hard.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Queer as Folk, wayyyy back in the day.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Oh man, that's a hard one, I love all of my fics. I think from my multi-chapter fics I have to say I wore his jacket for the longest time, especially because of how much I loved writing it but also because I love me a good character growth and second chances fic. And of my one-shots I have a soft spot for to the rhythm of eternity (my love letter to my favorite city) and Take your time (I wanna cross some lines) (a pwp I spend AGES on writing).

Oh man. How to articulate my response to this question.

Steve takes care of everyone. Since season 2 (I mean, even since season 1, actually) he's always been there to make sure people stay safe, to clean up the messes, to be the voice of reason, to take the hits so other people don't have to. He gets so little in return. I love Robin to death, but her caring is expressed in a "tough love" sarcastic way. Nancy kicked him to the curb. The kids regularly harass and belittle and bully him (and he may bitch about it/at them for it, but he gives in, on the regular, because he cares). He has no friends his own age otherwise.

Eddie is a social outcast, he's queer (yes he is), he has ADHD (yes he does), he might be autistic (I am not, but I have autistic friends who make grabby hands at the very idea and I trust their judgment). He doesn't actually ASK for anyone to take care of him. He loves what he loves and carries that love with him: his music, his game, his friends. He actively reaches out and helps the kids he sees who needs it so they don't have to suffer like he did, and he thinks about how to continue helping them once he's not there anymore. He's struggling to get through school—but the thing is, he's still trying. He could have given up, but he didn't.

They complement each other. Steve takes care of Eddie. Eddie takes care of Steve. They both take care of the Party. Steve fights, Eddie shields (they literally have a nail bat and a nail shield, respectively...I mean come on). They call each other on their shit. Some of the details are ambiguous enough that either one of them could be gay or bisexual, experienced or not, scared or confident...you get the idea. Basically, they're fun to write and think about.

Finally: I identify with Eddie to an extreme degree so honestly my obsession with Steddie is less about the ship and more about my obsession with Eddie. I'm pretty fond of Hellcheer and Mungrove as well, to be honest, they just...well, Hellcheer got very little screen time, and Mungrove got none, so they simply require more work to put together.

What is your headcanon of their sexuality?

I've read and written both of them as gay or bisexual and either way it's satisfying. I do tryyyy to make one of them bisexual (rather than both gay) because fuck bisexual erasure, but sometimes? Sometimes it just makes sense.

What petnames do you think they'd give each other?

From Eddie: Sweetheart, Stevie, Harrington (affectionate AND derogatory)

From Steve: Baby, Eds, Munson (affectionate), Munson (derogatory)

Yeah they're fanon stereotypes. Oh well. I'm a sucker.
