frustration's evident , strands of flax falling free from the braided crown / her body's as taut as a bowstring ! waiting to snap despite the throbbing ache ( HAD HER DRESSING SLIPPED ? UGH. ) but that voice , that annoyingly prominent presence -- she cannot afford to look weak lest she be eaten alive by what lurks in both the light * & shadows. not more than a fleeting thought but tairn's disdain rings loud & clear like some mildly aggravated positive reinforcement.

there's plenty of things she blames @darkrelic for , being an arrogant asshole hell bent on her demise top of the list ! ( & there's that disapproving growl again. like a warning / was her dragon trying to pavlov her ? ) but curiosity gets the best of her , the mystery that was the infuriating male she found herself tied to. pale eyes peer beneath lashes , neck craning to look at him properly.

over the past few months / it's instinctive to bite , to bare her teeth like a cornered animal so she tries to do the opposite. it's just the two of them left on the field & as much as she hates to admit it / in the comfort of her own mind ; she wants to know him. WHAT A BETRAYAL THAT FEELS LIKE ! what would he think of her now ?
