Love love love the Scream content you’ve been putting out as of late. I’ve also liked the interpretations you’ve done where someone uses the Ghostface mantle for good/targeting other killers.
So, my idea: Tara x Reader x Amber throuple, where each of them are Ghostface’s, but they’re essentially horror-themed vigilantes.
Scary Movies
Tara Carpenter x Reader x Amber Freeman
Tumblr media
Simon Trent was a college professor and a terrible man. A killer who hunted on the web and ensnared young people in his own. He just completed his last hunt: a young pair of lovers. His intellect versus their lack of real world knowledge: they never stood a chance.
The police found no trace of evidence. No fingerprints. No identifiable marks on the bodies. But justice would come.
Simon found himself scrubbing his hands of the young lovers' blood and cleaning his instruments of torture. And then the phone rang...
"Hello?" the rather unsuspecting looking killer asked.
"Hello Simon" the voice of Ghostface answered, "I'm calling to ask a few questions for a survey"
"I'm not interested. I have papers to grade." he hung up. The phone rang again.
"Hang up again Mr. Trent and I'll gut you like a fish!" Ghostface basically screamed into the phone receiver. "so will you listen?"
"I know how this ends" the professor found himself fearful, probably for the first time in his life.
"Good now onto my first and only question really"
"Fine. What is it?" the psychotic professor huffed
"Do you like scary movies?"
"Not really" the professor responded, unaware of the movement of shadows in his own apartment. "I'm more of a true story biopic sort of guy"
"Oh that's a shame." Ghostface answered, their voice sounded less like it was on the phone and more from behind him. "Because you're in one."
SLASH! Simon screamed as a knife made contact with his back. One Ghostface stood right behind him.
SLASH! Another knife comes from the side and stabs him in the lung. The second Ghostface took her mark and twisted the knife.
Simon throws off the two Ghostfaces and bolts to his room, his breathing quickly becoming ragged as the loss of blood gets to him.
"I know where you are! There's only two!! I've seen the movies, you freaks!!!" He tries to pull out his phone as he screams through the door.
"Who said this was a movie, Mr. Trent?" one more Ghostface whispers in his ear before driving it's own knife into the psychotic man's throat.
The man collapses to the ground. Another killer leaving his mortal. The third Ghostface pulls off their mask, revealing (Y/N).
"You?" the professor tried to say, blood gurgling in his throat. "Why?"
"We speak for the dead" (Y/N) whispers as they swipe their blade one last time across Simon Trent's throat. The professor chokes on his last ounce of blood as he dies.
There's a knock at the bedroom door. Y/N opens it to see their accomplices who pull off their masks revealing Tara Carpenter and Amber Freeman.
"You got the evidence, baby?" Y/N asks Amber as she pulls out the hard drive of Simon Trent's computer. All the evidence to connect the recent string of unsolved killings back to their culprit.
"All right here." Amber smirks. "Did you wipe the phones, sweetie?"
"Any trace of us is gone," Tara smiles. "I just wish we could've saved them."
Y/N gives Tara a light kiss on the forehead, "the dead can rest easy now" Tara rests her head against Y/N's chest, just relieved that another killer was brought to justice.
"Wanna go home and have a three way make out session?" Amber smirks
"Is there any better way to celebrate?" Tara smirks back as she wraps an arm around Y/N and Amber.
The three vigilantes make their way out of the house of the serial killer. The police would eventually find all the evidence that Y/N, Tara and Amber had already unearthed and justice would be served.
But for now, there's only a little rest for the wicked as the three Ghostface killers remain out and searching. Let's just hope that any would be killers are up to date on their scary movies, because sooner or later they'll find themselves in one of their own.

Keep Your Eyes on Me
tara carpenter x female reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: You’ve quickly become close with all of Tara’s friends, but her trust issues keep her at a distance from you. But maybe you're able to chip away at her defenses...
word count: 2.2k
————
"I don't get why no one else is suspicious of her!" Tara exclaims looking around at everyone with a frustrated expression. "Mindy? You're literally suspicious of every living thing. And Sam what the fuck, you don't let me leave the house unless I'm carrying a cross bow or something," she exaggerates rolling her eyes.
"Why are we speaking about me like I'm not here?" You whisper to Chad next to you while ripping your string cheese into strands. He laughs but so does everyone else, seems like your whisper wasn't as quiet as you thought.
Tara groans frustrated and heads up the stairs, leaving her friends and you in the living room in an awkward silence.
Sam was the first to break it, "She'll come around, it's just been hard on her you know? Trusting new people and all that fun stuff."
You give her a nod completely understanding the root of Tara's issues with you, it wasn't personal but that didn't mean her distrust in you didn't sting. Especially considering it's been four months since you met the group.
"I am curious though," you speak, "She's not wrong Mindy, you're sus of everyone. And Sam why do you trust me too?"
"Well you met my brother playing pickle ball," the twin speaks. "Pickle ball doesn't really strike me as a psychopathic killer activity," she laughs.
"Neither does string cheese. Can you imagine Ghostface stringing their cheese and eating it?" Sam adds with a laugh.
You don't know whether to be relieved or offended that your habits don't indicate you to be a killer. But you're grateful that the rest of the group clicked with you quickly after Chad introduced you to them.
The core four minus Tara sometimes wanted to smack the girl across the head for being so oblivious and blind to you. Before you met the group Chad being the yapper that he is, explained all that happened in the past year and a half, so you were fairly well equipped with knowledge on how to navigate a friendship with everyone.
Everyone also noticed how attentive you were to Tara especially.  You didn't know what it was but you immediately developed a soft spot for the girl when Chad told you all she went through. Meeting her for the first time you instinctively felt the need to protect her but that's been quite hard with her negative feelings towards you, but that doesn't mean you don't try.
————
Sam eventually goes up to Tara's room once everyone leaves and decides to put an end to this.  The younger Carpenter looks at her sister from her bed when the door is opened at a speed where its hinges could fly off.
"Jesus Sam, why are we trying to break my door."
"What the hell are you doing Tara?" Sam gets to the point ignoring the question.
"What are you talking about?"
"Y/n."
"Ughhhhhh!" She turns around face planting into her pillow with a groan, hating the topic of you.
"It's been four months and you haven't once given the poor girl the benefit of the doubt." The sister says softly. "I don't know why you're so keen on hating her, it's like you want her to be Ghostface just so you can prove a point."
Tara turns around to respond, clearly annoyed.  "Because it's so clear she doesn't have good intentions!  I don't get you either sis, you want me to be cautious of people, but it's a problem when its Y/n?"
Sam sighs moving to sit on the foot of the bed, "Tara, do you not see how much that girl cares about you?"
Tara is silent and looks down at her fiddling hands not knowing what to say.  She does know how much you care and she hates it.
All those times you would come over to her place with the excuse of "Mindy sent me to grab something" but you always stayed until Sam got home from work, just so she wouldn't have to be alone.
"Clearly you do realize how much she cares for you," Sam says taking notice of her sister's silence and demeanor.
Tara turns red recalling how you would always be attentive to the leg that Ghostface broke a year ago.  You would always position yourself so she'd have access to the railing of a staircase. Offer to drive her places that may have seemed like too lengthy of a walk. Straggle behind the group when you realized she couldn't walk as fast as the others. And even deprive yourself of any physical activities that the group was participating in, so Tara wouldn't feel alone when she sat out.
"The damn girl literally sits in the kitchen whenever your hungry ass wants to cook something so you'd feel safer!" Sam suddenly says. "Even I hadn't thought about how being in the kitchen may give you PTSD."
Tara hadn't either. But now that she knew the reason why you'd sit with her in the kitchen, she realized that she did feel much more comfortable with you in there then the times you weren't. After all she did have her attack take place in the kitchen. The brown eyed girl shrunk into her sweater in shame as she recalled how poorly she treated you that day.
You leave the group who were playing an intense round of charades in the living room and decide to join Tara who was alone in the kitchen.
"Hey what are you making?" You smile.
She ignores you and continues to get the seasoning out for the mac and cheese she was making herself.
"Why aren't you playing with everyone else?" Tara suddenly spoke.
"Just wanted to see what you were up to."
"Well you can leave now," she rolls her eyes.
"I'm good, I'll stay here."
"You do know that you aren't winning any points with me by trying to talk to me and forcing proximity right?" Tara says with attitude. "I still don't trust you and if your goal isn't to kill me, but just to get in my pants, then I'm so sorry if I ever made you believe that you had a chance with me." she finishes sarcastically feigning a genuine apology.
"Not my goal," you reply keeping it short. You knew the girl would not receive anything you say, so you got up from the seat you initially took at the island in the kitchen and went to the dining table which was a little further away. Tara thought that you left since she didn't hear any comments from you anymore and her pride was too high for her to turn around and check if you were still there. She couldn't control the frown that was making its way onto her face. That was until she heard you scrolling through TikToks at the table and suddenly felt a sense of relief that couldn't be explained.
She would continue to finish her mac and cheese and tried to hide her laugh from any funny TikTok sounds she heard from your phone. And tried her hardest to shutdown her curiosity whenever she heard your laugh. As soon as she finished making her bowl, she walked out of the kitchen not even glancing at you. She was too stubborn to realize that she hadn't once thought about her attack due to your presence in the kitchen.
Until now.
"That's why I trust her Tara," Sam reveals. "She notices things that I don't. I can't always be watching out for you. You need to have a bunch who have your back, and for that to happen you need to take a chance on people here and there."
"Just think about it. Just separate your idea of Y/n being Ghostface and the possibility that she can betray you. And ask yourself what kind of person is left standing in front you. And is that the type of person you want to take a chance on."
————
Two weeks have gone by since the group last saw each other, and since then you and Tara were able to do a lot of individual thinking. Today the group decided that they went too long without seeing each other and they all decided to go to bar in downtown Manhattan.
Everyone decided to meet at the Carpenter residence, and Tara hated to admit it, but she was excited to see you, but she also felt nervous at the thought of being around you.
You were the last to arrive, and you greeted all your friends with a smile. Tara was waiting with a smile for you to greet her like you always do, but it never happened.
You ignored her.
"Is everyone ready to go?" You say looking at everyone except Tara.
The shorter girl had to compose herself before anyone realized that she was bothered by your lack of acknowledgement. She didn't know how to feel, what in the world were you doing?
The group made their way to the subway in one piece, and the two Carpenter sisters were walking side by side while everyone else was a little ahead.
"What the fuck is Y/n doing?" Tara whisper yells to her sister.
"What do you mean?" Sam replies playing stupid.
"She's not even looking at me?" Tara admits, not caring at how childish she sounds. "Why isn't she paying attention to me?"
Sam laughs at what two weeks of not seeing you and some deep reflection has done to her sister. "I mean what do you expect, it's not fair for her to keep trying for someone who doesn't make the same effort. She's probably done trying." Despite her words, Sam didn't believe a thing she was saying, she wondered what the intentions behind your actions were, but the Carpenter knew it was nothing ill.
Tara makes a hmpf sound, and tries to act unbothered by her sister's words. But the idea of you not having your gaze on her worries her more than she would like to admit.
Meanwhile 20 paces in front the sisters you and the twins are having a interesting conversation of your own.
"I can't do this anymore!" You whine looking at Mindy.
"Girl, stand the fuck up, it's been 20 minutes since we left the house, can't you see that it's already working?"
Chad chimes in, "Honestly I agree with my sister for once, she'll be yours by the end of today."
"W-whoa I don't want her to be mine or anything," you blush. "She's gone through a lot, I just need her to tolerate me, you know?"
Mindy rolls her eyes but smiles, happy that Tara has someone patient like you in her life. "Yeah yeah Y/l/n, now walk faster, it's not like she can run and catch up."
Your jaw drops while Chad drops dead in laughter.
Everyone manages to get onto the same subway cart in one piece, and you realized how much harder it was going to be acting like you can't notice Tara in here. The subway was packed from one end to the other. And you just so happened to be standing next to the only available seat.
You glance at Tara only to see her already looking at you and you immediately look away. Trying to get Mindy's attention you some how try your best to mime to her that you want Tara to sit in the free seat. Though of course Mindy's horrible charade skills translate into real life and she ends up sitting in the seat herself.
You face palm at your friend, and gave up on trying to look out for Tara. But in that very moment you notice a man getting far too close to the girl than you would like. It was a crowded cart so proximity was a given, but this seemed deliberate on the stranger's part.
Acting without thinking, you shove the guy as casually as you can to the side, not realizing that it meant you are now face to face with Tara. Just as you were about to break and speak to her, the subway doors open at your stop.
Tara hated that the doors interrupted the words you were going to say to her, but was grateful that it got her attention off of you before you could notice the blush on her cheeks.
As everyone got off the subway, you find yourself straggling behind the group out of habit. Just as you attempt to quicken your pace, you feel a tug on your sleeve.
Tara looks up at you with her big eyes, and you don't know what to do. This is the first time the girl has looked at you without rolling her eyes or looking away immediately.
"I'm sorry," she mutters.
You didn't know what to say, and continue walking with her by your side, so you don't fall too far behind from your friends. "It's okay," you mutter back looking straight ahead.
You don't blame the girl for her behaviours.  Her traumas manifested into something difficult and she was making an attempt to be better. That's all that mattered to you. And maybe you were just too weak for the girl that you would let anything slide, but you were fine with that too.
Tara smiles at you, happy that you weren't giving her a hard time. Happy that you understood what those two words she just told you encapsulates.
Suddenly she grabs you by your arm and holds it as you walk side by side.
Startled by her touch you look at her.
She smiles up at you, "It's easier for you to keep your eyes on me this way. No need for secret glances."

Tumblr media
Tara had been blocked.
You had blocked her.
Though, it didn't hit her all at once. The first few minutes, she thought you were just asleep, it had been late when she had texted you after all.
Maybe you needed space after what Tara had said a few nights before, and she couldn't blame you for that.
Yet she still tried texting you, each one more desperate than the last. They were all small messages, apologies wrapped in awkward words that probably didn't mean much for anyone but her.
At first, Tara chalked it up to bad timing, bad service, something.
You had to see her messages eventually, right? So she kept sending them. But there was still no reply. Then, the doubt crept in.
Maybe you were ignoring her.
That thought weighed heavily on her, but she didn't stop.
She was still convinced there had to be an explanation. You always stayed. Even when things were at their worst, when she screwed up time and time again, you stayed.
But something was different this time. She felt it.
Then she noticed the green bubbles. The messages weren't delivering.
Her stomach had dropped. It wasn't bad service. It wasn't bad timing. You had cut her off completely.
Her thumb hovered over your contact, thinking about calling, but she stopped. What was the point? You wouldn't answer.
You were done with her.
She stared at her phone for longer than she should have, as if willing it to change.
But it didn't.
The reality sank in, slow and suffocating. You were gone.
For the first time, she wasn't the one walking away, and the absence of you—your presence, your texts, your warmth—was a hole Tara hadn't even realized she relied on.
It wasn't like she hadn't expected it after everything that had happened.
You always had a way of catching her when she messed up, but things seemed to smooth over eventually.
She never really had to confront her mistakes because you stayed, no matter how many times she got it wrong. Now, though, there was nothing.
Tara wasn't used to this. Sure, she knew she had done something wrong—pushing you away, keeping you in this weird limbo while she figured herself out—but she hadn't thought it would lead to you cutting her off.
Blocking her, even.
That had never happened before. No matter how many times she messed up, you had always been there, willing to pick up the pieces, and things just... worked.
She hadn't even realized how much she relied on your presence until it was gone.
For the first time, she was completely alone. No Amber, no you. Just silence.
———
Tara woke up the next morning with a strange sense of hope. She half expected to see the messages had been delivered, that maybe you'd unblocked her while she was asleep. Maybe it was all just a mistake. You wouldn't really cut her off, not after everything, right?
She grabbed her phone, swiping to the messages she'd sent.
Still green.
Her heart sank, the pit in her stomach deepening as she realized nothing had changed. You were serious. You weren't coming back.
When she got to school, a part of her still thought maybe you'd be there, waiting to talk like you always did, or at least watching from afar. She found herself glancing at the spots where she usually saw you, waiting for that familiar feeling of your eyes on her.
But you weren't there.
But Tara kept walking, her heart heavy as she scanned the hallways. That's when she spotted Amber, standing by her locker, waiting. The familiar feeling of longing tugged at her, but this time it wasn't as comforting as before.
Amber caught her eye and signaled for her to come over, flashing that smile Tara always fell for. Without thinking, Tara did. She walked straight into Amber's arms, letting Amber sling her arm casually around her shoulders as if nothing had changed between them.
For a brief moment, Tara felt like she had what she wanted. Amber was there, holding her close, showing everyone that she was hers—at least for today.
But there was still a heaviness in her chest, something she couldn't shake. It didn't make sense. She was with Amber now, wasn't this enough?
The thought of you crept in, uninvited.
No, it couldn't be that.
She pushed the feeling down, convincing herself that having Amber was enough.
It had to be.
That's what she told herself for the following days, trying to convince herself that Amber was enough, that this was what she wanted.
And for a while, it almost worked. Amber had been good—more attentive, more affectionate than usual—at least during the school week.
The weekends, though, were different. Parties took priority, and Amber's attention drifted.
Yet even when things were good; better than ever if you will, Tara couldn't shake the feeling lodged in her chest, that gut-wrenching discomfort that seemed to cling to her no matter how much she tried to ignore it.
The more she tried to push it down, the more it twisted inside her, leaving her uneasy.
And all of the thoughts led back to you. To Tara's own surprise.
You didn't try to search for her between classes, didn't glance in her direction when you passed her in the hallways. Nothing. Like she didn't even exist.
That was what Tara should've expected, really. After everything she'd done—after the way she'd strung you along, pushed you aside, left you waiting on the sidelines—it made sense. She had no right to expect anything different.
Tara had always been the one to call the shots, to decide when and where things stood between the two of you. Now, for the first time, the power was out of her hands.
She kept telling herself it was temporary. You'd come back—you always did. She just had to wait it out. Maybe this time it would take a little longer, but you'd be there, eventually. You had to be. So she forced herself to get used to it, to the absence, pretending she could handle the emptiness you left behind.
But what really started to get under Tara's skin wasn't just your absence or the way you seemed to move on so easily. It was seeing you with someone else.
She first noticed it during English class. You had been sitting next to some girl—someone Tara vaguely recognized but never really paid attention to before.
At first, she didn't think much of it, but as the days went on, she kept seeing the two of you together. Talking. Laughing. It wasn't just casual conversations either. You looked comfortable. Almost like you were enjoying yourself.
And as the days passed, Tara couldn't help but notice it more.
You hadn't even glanced her way in days, and yet here you were, cozying up to someone else like nothing had happened.
And every time she glanced in your direction during class, there you were, talking to her. Sometimes you'd laugh, or lean in a little closer, your body language relaxed in a way that made Tara's stomach twist.
You weren't just sitting next to each other anymore—you were... comfortable. And it wasn't just in English. She caught sight of you together in the hallways, outside the building after school.
The more she saw the two of you, the more it grated on her nerves. A sharp, simmering anger that built with each passing day.
Every smile, every shared glance between you and this girl made it harder for her to focus on Amber, even when Amber was right beside her, holding her hand or whispering in her ear.
It shouldn't have bothered her like this. It shouldn't have mattered.
You were free to talk to whoever you wanted. For all Tara knew, she was just a classmate, someone you happened to sit next to by chance.
But that didn't stop the ugly feeling from growing inside her, gnawing away at her with every interaction she witnessed.
She told herself it was nothing. That it didn't mean anything. But with every glance, every shared word between you and that girl, her anger simmered, coiling tighter until it was all she could focus on.
It wasn't jealousy, Tara told herself. It couldn't be. She had Amber, after all.
Yet there was no denying the way her chest tightened every time she saw you with her. It wasn't supposed to feel like this. You weren't supposed to matter anymore.
But somehow, you still did. Of course you did.
___
"What's got your panties in a twist?" Amber's voice broke through Tara's thoughts, cutting through the low hum of the campus.
Her tone was sharp, playful in a way that normally would've made Tara grin, but today it grated, pulling her out of the spiral she had been sinking into.
They were sitting outside, perched on one of the weathered wooden benches that lined the quad, the usual bustling energy of lunchtime fading as the crowd thinned.
Chad and Liv had disappeared first, throwing out some half-hearted excuse about "something better to do," Mindy had ditched too—not that Tara blamed her, considering she wasn't exactly Amber's biggest fan. Which left only Amber and Tara behind.
Normally, Tara would've reveled in that—the rare chance to have Amber's full attention, unshared, unchallenged by anyone else. She used to crave these moments when it was just the two of them, when Amber's eyes were only on her.
But now, Tara could barely summon the energy to care. The thrill of it had dulled, smothered under the weight of everything else she couldn't stop thinking about—of everything she couldn't feel.
Your absence hung heavy in the air, even though Amber didn't know it was there. She couldn't know.
She wouldn't have cared if she did.
Amber shifted beside her, more out of impatience than concern. "Seriously, you've been acting weird all week," she pressed, her voice tinged with frustration.
She wasn't used to Tara being so distant, and the idea that something might be slipping out of her control clearly bothered her. "What's your problem?"
Tara blinked, her mind sluggish, trying to catch up. It wasn't like she could explain it—not in any way that made sense.
How could she tell Amber that the cold shoulder she had been getting from you had thrown her completely off balance?
That it was the same cold shoulder she'd given you, over and over again, each time leaving you on the outside while she stayed wrapped up in Amber's world. How could she admit that now, when it was her on the receiving end, it felt like a punch to the gut every single time she saw you?
"I don't know," she mumbled, her voice barely audible. "I'm just tired."
It was the best she could come up with, the easiest excuse, but even as the words left her lips, she knew it wasn't enough.
Amber wasn't the type to let things slide, especially not when it came to Tara. She was used to being the center of attention, the one calling the shots, and when Tara's focus wasn't on her, Amber always took notice.
"Yeah, well, you've been 'tired' for a while now," Amber snapped back, her tone cutting through the brief silence like a whip.
She didn't sound concerned, not really—just annoyed, irritated that something wasn't going her way. "Maybe you should come out with me this weekend, you know? Party with me."
Amber's suggestion hung in the air between them, and Tara hesitated. Normally, Amber didn't bother to ask.
She'd go without her, living up the night on her own, letting Tara watch it all from the sidelines. She'd see it unfold through Amber's and other people's social media—photos and videos of Amber laughing, surrounded by friends, completely absorbed in her own world.
But this time, it felt different. Tara could feel it in the way Amber's eyes lingered on her, waiting, expecting something—expecting Tara to be excited, to jump at the chance like she would've done before.
But the thought of it, the thought of pretending everything was fine, felt suffocating.
She nodded anyway, forcing herself to give Amber the answer she was waiting for, even if it felt hollow. "Yeah. Sure."
But even as the words came out, Tara felt the weight of them, heavy and wrong.
Because the truth was, none of it mattered—not the party, not Amber's fleeting attention. None of it made a dent in the gnawing ache in her chest that had started the moment you stopped looking at her.
She told herself it was fine. She could play along. She had done it before. But deep down, Tara knew that no matter how much she tried to push it down, nothing could fix this disgusting feeling.
She sat in silence for a moment longer, staring at the ground as her mind whirred with thoughts she didn't want to have.
She clenched her jaw, trying to shake the feeling, trying to make herself believe that this—Amber, the party, all of itwould be enough. It definitely would've been before, hadn't it?
But now, the weight of your absence pressed in on her from every angle, heavy and suffocating. It wasn't supposed to feel like this. It wasn't supposed to matter so much.
Amber shifted beside her, sighing loudly. "Whatever, Tara," she muttered, standing up and brushing invisible dust off her jeans. "Don't get all weird on me."
Tara barely registered her leaving. The rush of relief she might have once felt in moments like these—when Amber turned her attention elsewhere—was gone, replaced by an ache she couldn't name.
A week ago, maybe two, Tara would've called after her, almost running to catch up. She would've asked if they could get ready together, spent half an hour agonizing over what she should wear, hoping for Amber's approval.
Her mind would've spun with questions, things she'd never needed to worry about when she was around you.
What should she wear? What did Amber want her to look like? Was her hair okay down, or should she try something new? She would've sent selfies for Amber's opinion, eager for a reaction, any reaction, to reassure her that she was enough.
But now, the questions didn't come. They felt distant, buried under the weight that had settled in her chest and refused to leave. Tara didn't care what Amber thought anymore. She didn't even care what she looked like.
The weekend came sooner than she had expected, almost sneaking up on her while she drifted through the week in a haze.
Throughout the week, Tara had tried to text you. Just one message each day, nothing too desperate, nothing that screamed she was losing her mind over your silence.
But each time, the bubble turned green, and with every little notification, her hope that you might respond twisted into something bitter, something angry.
Were you with her? That girl from your English class, the one she'd seen you walking with down the hallways, laughing, your head bent close to hers like you didn't have a care in the world.
Tara's stomach knotted at the thought, her grip tightening on her phone every time she imagined the two of you together. Were you sharing the jokes you used to save just for her? Did you laugh the same way?
By the time Friday came around, the anger had wrapped itself around her chest, growing heavier each time she looked at her phone, still green, still silent.
It weighed on her as she stood in front of the mirror that night, staring at her reflection like a stranger. She had thrown on whatever was closest, not caring how it looked—not caring how she looked—and now, standing there, she could feel the frustration boiling over.
She looked terrible, and she knew it. The clothes didn't sit right, her hair was a mess, and she didn't even have the energy to fix any of it.
Normally, she'd have texted Amber for advice, asked her what to wear, how to do her makeup. They might've gotten ready together if Amber cared enough, Amber teasing her the whole time but never letting her leave the house unless she looked perfect.
But tonight, none of that mattered. Tara was angry—angry at herself, at you, at the girl you were probably with right now. She felt like she was spinning, her thoughts spiraling into a million catastrophic possibilities, each one worse than the last.
Maybe she just needed to see you in person. Maybe if she could find you, look you in the eye, and tell you how she was feeling right now, you'd understand. Maybe that's what would finally break through this silence.
If she could just get you to listen, maybe if she could tell you all of it—how she didn't know what she was doing, how none of it made sense to her—you'd understand.
But would you even believe her? Would you even want to hear her out?
Without thinking twice, she pulled out her phone and typed out a message to Amber.
can't make it tonight. smth came up.
She didn't even wait for a response before throwing her phone onto the bed, her mind already somewhere else.
Part of her wanted to look you up, track you down, and talk to you face-to-face. Whether you were with someone else or just avoiding her the way she'd been avoiding you —but either way, Tara was done waiting around for you to reach out.
She stood frozen for a moment, feeling ridiculous as the thought of showing up at your house unannounced settled in.
She could already picture how stupid she'd look, standing at your door, trying to explain herself. You'd blocked her—didn't that already say everything she needed to know?
But then that other girl's face flashed in her mind, the way you laughed with her, walked next to her in the halls.
The thought of her taking you away, of her being the one you shared everything with now, twisted Tara's stomach in knots. She couldn't let that happen. Not without at least trying.
She didn't want to be too late.
Tara hated how desperate she felt, how even after everything, after you'd blocked her, she was still running after you. But she couldn't help it.
Even if she had to look you in the eye and hear you say you didn't want her anymore, she needed to know for sure. She needed to fight, because the thought of losing you to someone else was worse than any rejection you could throw at her.
With a deep breath and her hands shaking, she grabbed her jacket and keys.
Feeling stupid the whole way, she headed out the door, her heart pounding with every step she took toward your house.
___
didn't think u were weak enough to back out.
guess i was wrong.
Amber's text lit up her screen, but Tara barely glanced at it.
Normally, Amber's words usually stung, leaving Tara questioning herself, doubting everything. But tonight, they barely registered. She didn't care anymore, not about Amber's opinion or her insults.
The thought of how she'd been stringing you along—pushing and pulling, hot and cold—made her stomach twist in a way Amber's games never had.
Tara had always hated how Amber toyed with her, how she'd be there one day and gone the next, keeping Tara on a leash just long enough to never fully let go. Now, she realized, she was doing the same to you. She'd been selfish, scared, and now it was coming back to haunt her.
Amber had dragged her through the same emotional mess for so long—back and forth, never knowing where they stood—and now she had done the same to you.
It wasn't about Amber anymore. It was about you. And she wasn't going to let you slip away without at least trying.
She made it to your house almost sooner than she'd liked. The sight of your front door tightened the knot in her stomach, something she wasn't used to feeling.
Tara wasn't the nervous type—usually, she could handle herself in any situation, always sure of what she'd say or do. But now, her palms felt damp, her breath catching every time she thought of you opening that door.
She didn't know what she was going to say. Hell, she didn't even know if you'd open the door. But she had to try, even if her nerves were making her feel like a complete idiot for being there.
But she was already here, and she'd come this far—she couldn't just turn back now. She'd fought her way through every doubt to get here, and backing down wasn't an option.
Her feet felt heavy as she took each step up the walkway, the familiar creak of the wooden steps underfoot echoing louder in her ears than it ever had before.
The closer she got, the more every little detail stood out—the chipped paint on your door, the soft glow of light seeping out from the window.
She raised her hand to knock, fingers hovering just inches away, her heart pounding so loudly she wondered if you'd hear it from the other side.
Taking a deep breath, she let her knuckles tap lightly against the door, the sound swallowed almost instantly by the still night air.
It took long enough for you to answer that her thoughts had time to spiral. She knew your parents weren't home; in the little time she'd spent actually getting to know you, she'd learned that they hardly ever were.
You were probably home alone, and the idea haunted her—maybe you'd invited someone else over, maybe you weren't even alone at all, maybe you were with that girl she'd seen you with before.
By the time she heard footsteps approaching, her heart was beating so fast she almost felt sick, every possibility fighting for space in her mind.
Finally, the door swung open, and for a split second, there was a soft smile on your face.
But the moment your eyes landed on her, it vanished, replaced by something unreadable.
It wasn't anger—your expression was calm, almost neutral, yet there was a guardedness to it, like you'd been caught off guard, not entirely prepared to see her standing there.
The warmth in your eyes had dimmed, leaving something harder to read.
Tara couldn't tell if that look meant you were relieved or if she was the last person you wanted to see right now.
For a second, Tara felt so small. She knew she was short, but this was different—she'd never felt this out of place, like she was shrinking right there on your doorstep. Not since Amber.
Her fingers fidgeted, tracing over her knuckles as she tried to read you, to figure out what was going on behind that guarded expression. She barely registered the sound of her name until she heard your voice.
"Tara.. Hi."
The words hung there, making the quiet between you even heavier.
Tara didn't respond right away, too caught up in the questions swirling through her mind.
Had she interrupted something? Were you expecting someone else—someone who actually wanted to be here?
Her mind raced, flashing back to all the times you'd tried reaching out, inviting her over, and all the times she'd ignored you, too wrapped up in the momentary thrill of Amber's attention.
She hadn't let herself think about what that might've felt like for you.
And now, standing here, she couldn't shake the feeling that this was karma—that maybe you'd moved on, found someone else who didn't make you feel like a backup option. What if, after all this, she was too late?
Finally, after a moment, she managed to speak, her voice barely above a whisper, unsteady.
"Were... were you expecting somebody else?" Her words faltered, her gaze fixed on her hands as she twisted her fingers together, almost as if she could hold onto some kind of confidence.
You furrowed your brows just slightly, a small, almost confused smile pulling at the corner of your mouth as you let out a soft, breathy laugh. "No... why would I?"
Tara's mouth opened, but no words came out right away. She hadn't expected you to look so genuinely surprised, and now she felt her cheeks warming, her gaze darting down as she scrambled for something to say. Her fingers twisted together, and she forced herself to meet your eyes again, feeling silly for even bringing it up.
"I... I don't know. I just thought... maybe." Her voice was barely a whisper, and she hated how uncertain it sounded, as if she'd already given away too much. But she couldn't help it—she just had to know.
You tilted your head slightly, still wearing that soft smile, though there was a hint of something knowing in your eyes.
"Is she.. ignoring you again?" you asked, the question so casual yet so pointed that Tara's breath hitched.
She knew you meant Amber—you didn't even need to say her name. And the worst part was, she felt a pang of guilt because, honestly, it wouldn't have been the first time.
She swallowed hard, feeling like her own answer was betraying her. "Actually... no," she said slowly, her voice faltering as she tried to piece together her words. "She, uh, actually invited me to a party."
Your expression shifted, that lightness fading from your eyes, and Tara's stomach twisted painfully when she noticed.
She hadn't expected you to react like that, hadn't anticipated that flicker of hurt crossing your face. And now, standing there in the doorway, she felt a rush of regret wash over her.
Before she could stop herself, she added, her voice barely above a whisper, "But I didn't... I didn't go."
You didn't respond right away, just looked at her, eyebrows raised, silently waiting. Tara shifted under your gaze, feeling smaller by the second, until finally, she started to speak.
"I know you probably... don't want to talk to me right now," she began, her voice a little too fast, like she was rushing to get the words out before she lost her nerve.
She took a shaky breath and continued, "I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. I mean, it's not like I've given you a reason to, you know, feel any different... or... yeah."
Her hand drifted up to her wrist, squeezing it as she fumbled for her next thought. "I... I messed up. And, I've been thinking about it, like, a lot, and it's just—I didn't know what I was doing. I mean, I thought I did, but then I... I didn't. And I didn't mean to make you feel like you weren't... important, or that I didn't care, because I did. I do."
She bit her lip, glancing up at you, unsure if she was making any sense, but she kept going. "I know it's probably too late to say any of this, and you've probably moved on, but I just... I don't know. I didn't want you to think that I... forgot about you. Or... or that you didn't matter."
Her gaze flickering down to the ground, then up to yours again, almost as if she's scared you'll walk away.
"That message where I told you to... that I didn't want anything to do with you..." She shakes her head, struggling for the right words. "I shouldn't have said that. I was... I don't even know what I was thinking. I just... Amber was there, and I felt like if I didn't, she'd—" She stops herself, clenching her fists a little, swallowing hard.
"And all those other messages.. I just kept trying to say sorry, but it was probably just... desperate, I guess. I didn't know how else to say that I... I wanted you, that I didn't mean it. That I still..."
Her words falter, and she sighs, rubbing her forehead as though exhausted with herself. "I know it probably doesn't make up for any of it, but... I swear, I didn't mean it. I never wanted to hurt you."
As soon as she stopped talking, a wave of embarrassment crashed over her, and it was all she could do not to cringe.
She hadn't even planned on saying half of what she'd said, and yet here she was, fumbling through one strained apology after another.
It felt messy, like she was just piling words on top of words, hoping that somehow they'd turn into something that made sense to you, that could somehow make things better.
But in her heart, she knew it sounded like nonsense, just a lot of desperate, pointless excuses that probably made her look even more pathetic.
And you just stood there, looking at her with an expression she couldn't quite read—somewhere between shocked and neutral.
The silence between you seemed to stretch on, making her rambling feel even more pointless, like each second of quiet only added weight to her mess of words.
Tara could feel her face heating up, and all she wanted was to take everything back, to make it sound right somehow—but she didn't even know what "right" would be.
Her fingers tightened around her wrist, her gaze dropping back to her worn out converses as the silence thickened around her. Part of her wanted to shrink back, to stop talking altogether, but she'd already put too much out there to turn back now.
So when you didn't answer, she continued.
"I... I want to do better," she said, each word a little slower, like she was searching for the strength to actually mean it. Her eyes barely lifted to meet yours, as if waiting for something—anything—that might tell her it wasn't too late.
Your hand, which had been holding the door open this whole time, finally slipped away. You clapped both hands against the sides of your thighs, the sound breaking the quiet between you two.
Then, with a tone that was almost unreadable, you asked, "Is that it?"
Tara's face fell slightly when your words cut through the silence. She searched your expression, looking for something—anything—that hinted at forgiveness, but the steady way you looked back at her made her stomach drop.
Her throat tightened, but she forced herself to speak, her voice barely above a whisper.
"So... you don't forgive me?"
Tara looked up at you, her eyes wide and glistening, almost like a puppy's, searching for any hint of understanding. It was a look she hadn't meant to put on, but somehow it found its way back to her face, a reflex from childhood.
She remembered using those same eyes when she'd gotten into trouble with her mom or when Sam wouldn't let her hang out with her friends. Back then, she'd wielded them like a weapon, a last-ditch effort to melt hearts and earn forgiveness.
Now, though, it felt different.
There was no intent behind it, just a genuine plea for empathy that made her feel exposed, and a wave of embarrassment washed over her as she realized how desperate she must look.
You took a breath before responding, your gaze steady but distant. "I do.. but I don't see why that matters because it'll all happen again." You said slowly, weighing each word.
Tara felt her heart sink at your words, the reality of what you said hitting her hard. She knew all too well how it felt to be caught in that cycle—Amber had done the same to her, repeatedly promising change only to slip back into old patterns.
It was frustrating and disheartening, and in that moment, she understood where you were coming from.
She took a shaky breath, trying to find her voice. "It won't... I promise it won't." Her tone was earnest, filled with a desperate need to be believed, to convince you that this time would be different.
Tara searched your expression, and as your words echoed in her mind—you did accept her apology—a flicker of hope ignited within her. It felt like a delicate promise written in cursive, intricate yet fragile, and she couldn't help but cling to it.
She tried to muster a soft smile, though it felt tentative, as if it might shatter under the weight of everything left unsaid.
"Can we... do you think that maybe we can try again?" The words tumbled out, filled with a mixture of uncertainty and determination. It was a fragile request, a chance she hoped wouldn't be met with rejection.
She could see the flicker of thoughts crossing your face. Your brow furrowed slightly, and she sensed the hesitation lingering in the air between you. It was as if you were weighing her words, measuring the sincerity of her apology against the weight of the past.
She couldn't tell if you were considering her request or if doubt still lingered in your mind.
It felt like standing on the edge of a cliff, waiting for a sign, desperately hoping that you would choose to leap with her this time.
After a long pause, a small, soft smile crept up on your face, the tension in your shoulders easing just a bit. You finally met her gaze, and the warmth in your eyes hinted at something Tara had been longing to see.
"Sure... yeah, I'd like that," you said, your voice gentle but firm, like a lifeline tossed her way.
Tara let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, her shoulders eased slightly at your response, something softening in her expression as she processed your words. It wasn't a promise, but it felt real enough.
A quiet acknowledgment that maybe this could lead somewhere different.
She looked at you for a moment longer, managing a small, uncertain smile as if not entirely sure this chance would hold but willing to take it anyway.
The silence lingered, weighty but almost comfortable. Tara held your gaze, her expression softening just a bit as she let herself settle into the quiet, not wanting to push any further. When she finally managed a small smile, it was tentative, as if she was holding onto it carefully.
"Guess I'll... see you around?" she asked, her voice a quiet murmur, like she wasn't entirely certain if she should even say it.
You gave a slight nod, already moving to close the door. The subtle acknowledgment was enough to let her feel that maybe, just maybe, things could shift—if only a little.
She shifted slightly, like she wanted to say something more but couldn't quite find the words. A small, unsure smile crossed her face as she looked up at you again, her voice softer.
With that, Tara turned to go, casting one last look back at you before turning around to walk away.
___
The next week, Tara's phone buzzed on her nightstand, pulling her from a the books scattered all over her bed.
She squinted at the screen, hoping to see your name lighting up, a sign that things were finally moving forward between you two.
Maybe it was about the plans you'd casually mentioned — plans that did not include Tara bringing out her frustrations in bed with you.
Instead, her heart sank a little as Amber's name flashed across the screen.
u free this friday?
For the first time, Tara felt a surprising clarity wash over her as she read the message. She didn't hesitate, knowing exactly how she wanted to respond without second-guessing herself.
In the past, she'd tiptoed around her replies, always afraid that Amber would judge her for whatever she said.
But now, after everything with you, she was certain of what she wanted. This time, there was no uncertainty clouding her thoughts. So, after a moment, she typed a quick reply.
im actually busy, sorry
With a breath of relief, she hit send and immediately blocked Amber's number. She felt a weight lift off her shoulders.
This time, she wouldn't be waiting for Amber's text, for promises that never changed anything.
She knew what she had now—this newfound sense of clarity—and what she wanted. And that was enough.
This was how it would stay.

Pairing: Jenna Ortega X reader
The Scream set was relatively quiet. We were on a break from filming, and the atmosphere around us was relaxed. Jenna was chatting with Jasmin, offering a shy smile as her headphones hung around her neck and her phone was firmly in her hands. Every now and then, she would glance quickly at the notifications on her screen. She looked perfectly at ease in her little corner of calm.
But I had other plans.
I had found an old Ghostface mask among the scene equipment. It was too perfect of an opportunity to pass up. I knew my plan was a bit foolish, considering Jenna was a horror fanatic and rarely got scared, but she had her guard down at that moment, and I was determined to give it a try. I hid behind a stack of crates, waiting for the right moment.
"I'm going to grab a bottle of water," Jasmin suddenly announced to Jenna with a small apologetic smile.
"Okay," the brunette replied, returning the smile slightly, her fingers drumming on her phone screen.
I seized the moment.
Taking a deep breath, I slipped on the mask and jumped out suddenly.
"Boo!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
Jenna jumped, completely caught off guard. Her eyes went wide, and her phone slipped from her hands, hitting the ground with a thud. For a moment, I was surprised that it had actually worked: I had scared Jenna Ortega! The queen of control looked like she was about to have a mini-heart attack.
I couldn't hold back a laugh as I watched her try to recover.
"Jesus, Y/n!" she exclaimed, clutching her chest and looking at me in disbelief. "You nearly gave me a heart attack!"
I doubled over in laughter, unable to contain the euphoria. Jenna bent down to pick up her phone from the ground, shaking her head. She started laughing too, but there was a threatening glint in her eyes.
"You just signed your death warrant," she muttered in a low voice, a hint of amusement in her coffee-colored eyes.
I immediately realized it was time to run.
I spun around and took off as fast as I could.
"Get back here!" she shouted, laughing as she chased after me.
Despite the adrenaline of being chased by someone barely over five feet tall, the whole situation was so surreal that I couldn’t stop laughing. I pulled off the mask, which was blocking my vision, and picked up the pace, trying to dodge the set equipment with more agility.
My heart was pounding, and my breath was getting heavier. I could hear Jenna behind me, getting closer. She was faster than I had anticipated. Despite her petite frame, she had incredible determination, and the distance between us was shrinking quickly.
"Oh my God, Y/n! You're doomed!" she called out, her tone both amused and determined.
"Sorry!" I mumbled between laughs.
I turned the corner at full speed and my eyes widened when I saw Amber leaning against a tree, a cigarette between her lips. Her expression immediately shifted to a mix of confusion and irritation as I accidentally bumped into her, causing her cigarette to fall to the ground.
I stopped abruptly, my heart in my throat, and looked at her with concern.
"I'm so sorry," I muttered quickly, my voice barely audible.
"What the hell, Y/n!" Amber snapped, clearly annoyed.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jenna appear from the other side, scanning the area until her eyes landed on me and Amber. Her coffee-colored gaze lit up with mischief, and as soon as she started running toward us, panic surged through me, making me let out a startled cry.
Amber raised an eyebrow, lighting another cigarette as she stared at me in disbelief.
"What’s your problem?" she asked, confused.
Then she noticed Jenna approaching rapidly, a sly smile forming on her face.
I didn’t give her time to say another word before I took off running again with all my strength. I needed to find a hiding spot or at least put enough distance between us. But it was too late. I felt Jenna’s hands suddenly grab the back of my shirt with a strong, firm grip. Unable to keep my balance, I tumbled to the ground, dragging Jenna down with me.
We rolled across the ground, our laughter drowning out every other sound around us. The fall wasn’t hard, but the energy of the moment made us lose any semblance of seriousness. Before I knew it, Jenna was on top of me, still laughing, her hair falling messily over her face.
I found myself lying on my back, with her hovering over me, both of us breathing heavily from the chase and the laughter. We locked eyes, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop. Her dark eyes sparkled with a light I rarely saw, especially on set, where she was always so serious and professional. But now... now there was something different.
Jenna looked at me with an open smile, her adorable dimples fully visible.
"What the hell happened? I was gone for just a few minutes," Jasmin asked in confusion, holding a bottle of water in her hands.
Jenna glanced down for a moment, still chuckling softly. Then she sat up slightly but didn’t completely move off me. Her eyes met mine again, and this time her smile was softer, less mischievous.
"Maybe we can settle this another way?" the brunette suggested, a huge grin still on her face.
A small smile escaped me.
"Like how?"
She let out a light giggle, tilting her head just a bit.
"Maybe with coffee. Or two."
I propped myself up on my elbows slightly, trying to ignore the rapid beating of my heart.
"Alright, coffee it is."
Jenna looked at me for another moment, then stood up fully, extending a hand to help me up. Still laughing, I accepted the offer, but I knew there was something more in that chase, in that little battle of pranks and laughter. Even if it wasn’t spoken out loud, I could feel it in the way she looked at me.
"E allora? Qualcuno mi spiegherà questo?" chiese di nuovo Jasmin, ma nessuno le prestò attenzione.

Tara hates three things in her life. You, hairless cats, and soggy bread. In that order too
She could handle hating hairless cats and soggy bread, but you? You were in Tara’s friend group. Tara hated you and to make matters worse, she was the only one that did
You were nerdy like Wes and Ethan, quick-witted and funny like Mindy and Amber, athletic like Chad, charismatic like Quinn, protective like Sam, and (allegedly) nice like Anika. You had nearly every one of her friends best traits, but Tara knew why she didn’t like you. You were really fucking annoying
Along with all of your positive traits, you were loud and obnoxiously social. Not that Tara was antisocial or anything, but god you were on a whole other level. It was mildly infuriating how you could go to a party you knew nobody at and somehow come out with more friends than you started with
All those people and you decided Tara was the one you’d annoy. A nudge to her shoulder made Tara look up from where she was putting her head down
“You look like shit” The brunette doesn’t respond and puts her head back down on the table
“Sam tase someone without your permission again?” Tara could practically hear the smirk in your voice
“Please for the love of god shut the fuck up. Your voice is the last thing I need to hear today”
“Woah, someone’s mad” You stick out your tongue in response at the glare Tara sends your way
“Suck my dick, (Y/n).”
“Don’t tempt me with a good time, Carpenter”
Tara abruptly leaves the lecture room. You think you really fucked up this time, but let out a breath of relief when you see that Tara didn’t grab her things. She was probably going to the bathroom to escape you. Which, who would ever want to escape you?
Apparently not Tara because she’s back in her seat just a few minutes before the lecture starts
“Aspirin?” You grab the bottle from a pocket in your bag, shaking it next to her
“You have Aspirin laying around?”
“Anika told me you were at a party, I figured it’s the least I could do”
“You’re trying to drug me, aren’t you?”
“If I was trying to drug you, I would’ve offered it to you at the end of class”
“Why weren’t you at the party?” Tara asks, taking the bottle from you hands and shaking out two tablets before downing them with some water
“Missed me?”
“Nope, just surprised you weren’t blackout drunk”
“Good to know you think highly of me. I was studying, thank you”
“You? Study?” Tara scoffs
“Don’t act like the idea is so out of this world”
“Right, because last time I remember you passing up a party was because your betta fish died and you forced all of us to have a funeral for him at the park”
“Trout’s death is not one to be made fun of!”
Before Tara can respond, the professor starts talking and the lesson begins. Unfortunately her head is still kind of throbbing with only mildly wanting to throw up. She had to accept she wasn’t going to get anything done until that Aspirin kicked in. Especially when she can feel you staring at her
The class goes as smoothly as it can and you notice Tara hasn’t made an effort to even try to take notes. The lesson eventually ends and when everyone gets up, the brunette begrudgingly does too
You bump your shoulders together and Tara glares at you with enough power you actually manage to feel fear for a split second until you realize it’s Tara. The girl was like two apples tall. Two and a half on a good day
The brunette doesn’t realize you were handing her a paper so you physically have to place it in her hand. Her eyebrows furrow in confusion
“What is this?”
“Notes, you need them”
“I’m not buying you Raising Canes if that’s what you want”
“Since I’m such a good friend, I’ll give it to you free of charge. Just make sure to bring it back with minimal damage”
“You’re not gonna make me Paypal you fifty bucks?” Tara doesn’t have any classes for the next few hours so you two made a point to walk to your next class. She didn’t know how it started, but you were okay to talk to when you weren’t being annoying
“In my defense, Trout recently died”
“We buried him in the fucking park, I don’t think that costs money”
“It was condolence money. I made everyone pay and I think it was pretty genius”
“I really do wonder how you still have friends”
//-//
Someone knocks on the door of you and Anika’s apartment. When you realize your roommate is probably listening to music that was too loud to be healthy, you get up from your very comfortable bed
You don’t remember ordering food and you’re pretty sure Anika didn’t invite Mindy over, so the person behind the door was probably just the nice old lady across the hall that made cookies for everyone
For better or for worse, you’re met with a Tara Carpenter that’s caught off guard when you open the door. Tara usually sees you in well put together outfits so you can only imagine her surprise when she sees you wearing boxers that outlined your cock and a hoodie that barely covered it up
“Eyes are up here- What brings you to the Mojo Dojo Casa House?”
“Can’t you just let me in?” Tara’s cheeks burn in embarrassment. Thank god you just glossed over… it
“It’s protocol you identify yourself and state why you’re here” You lean on the doorframe, actively blocking the entrance to your apartment. Tara knew this was a losing battle and hated how you looked hot while winning
“Anika and I have a project we need to work on”
“You didn’t identify yourself” you’re wearing that same dumbass smirk you have after telling a horrible joke
“Tara. Tara fucking Carpenter.”
“Unfortunately I don’t think we know any Tara Fucking Carpenters. Guess you can’t come in” you shrug
“God give me patience.” Tara rubs at her temples like you’re giving her a headache
“Isn’t it god give me strength?”
“If god gave me strength, you would be dead.”
“Point taken, but you still need a password”
“You didn’t say anything about a password!”
“Yeah, well, I don’t know if you’re the real Tara or not. Say a fact about me only the real Tara would know”
The brunette pretends to think for a moment, even putting her hand on her chin and looking off into the distance for effect. When she notices you’re starting to get suspicious of her antics Tara pushes you though the door, successfully getting in without a password or confirmation
You stumble back almost like a cartoon character and you can hear Tara let out a small laugh. You can see the dimples on her cheeks whe she tries to cover it up with her hand
“Nika, your friend’s here!” You lead Tara to Anika’s room, making sure to knock loudly while Tara’s busy either checking you out or trying to blow you up with her mind. It’s unclear, but you have to lean towards the latter
“Isn’t Tara your friend too?” Your roommate opens the door, headphones around her neck
“No.”
“Yes.” Both of you say in unison. The look you give each other is almost comical with how Tara’s glaring while you’re smiling. Anika stares blankly between you two and it eventually starts to make more sense
“Stop eye fucking each other, we have work to do” Anika pulls Tara into her room. You shrug, heading off to probably yell at ten year olds on Fortnite or something
“We were not eye fucking” the shorter girl huffs, sitting on Anika’s bed
“I literally opened my door and thought you two were about to make out”
“I didn’t expect to get interrogated when I came here!” Tara flops onto her back, covering her eyes and trying (and failing) to stop the red that dusted her cheeks
“Whatever, I’ll get you to crack later”
“Kill yourself.”
//-//
Tara doesn’t understand what she’s feeling when she sees some random girl grind against you
It’s like that one scene in Euphoria when Maddy and Nate stare each other down at the school dance, except you were looking far more more bored. That is, until you see Tara glaring at both of you
Like a switch turned on, you’re suddenly more interested in the girl. You encourage her grinding with a hand kneading her hip, using your other hand to take a sip of your drink. And just like Maddy, she’s tempted to find Chad to do the same to you. She doesn’t.
Tara fucking hated you. But she also needed you now.
Making you jealous would take too long. In theory she had the time, but her hunger to taste you was making her do things she would’ve never thought of before. One of those things being grabbing your hand and leading you away from any girl that tried to even look at you.
The girl who was grinding on you calls her a bitch among other things, but Tara knows it’s worth it when she sees you smile at her like she’s your entire world. Because she was your entire world
She leads you into an empty guest bedroom of the house, locking the door before getting close enough to you she can smell the alcohol in your breath
“What’s all this about, Tar?” You grin. Tara doesn’t know if she wants to kiss or slap that smirk right off of your annoying face
“You know what this is fucking about.”
“Do I? I think you should spell it out for me.”
“You know, I’ve had it with your attitude.” Tara jabs a finger at your chest, the back of your knees hitting the end of the bed. In one motion you sit down and bring Tara down with you. You make her sit on your cock
“Anyone ever tell you you’re fucking hot when you’re mad?” You smile, finding the blush on Tara’s cheeks absolutely adorable
“Only you.”
“Good. How about we keep it that way, baby?”
“You’re so annoying.” The brunette cups your face with both of her hands, your lips fitting together like they were always meant to
“I know I am” You say in between kisses, your hands finding their way up Tara’s shirt, kneading the spot right under her boob. She forces your hand to stimulate her nipple, eliciting a moan from her mouth
“You’re so pretty, Tar. I can’t believe only I get to see you get all hot and bothered” You smile breathlessly
“Fuck. S-Stop talking like that or you’ll make me like you” Biting a hickey on Tara’s neck, you take of her shirt and her bra in a flurry of heat
“I bet you’ll like me even more when you’re bouncing on my cock” You force Tara to grind on the bulge in your pants, earning you a small whimper that makes you smile
“C’mon, all you have to do is admit you like me and I’ll fuck you better than anyone has” It should be considered torture how much you were teasing Tara. You were biting hickeys on her neck, playing with her nipples, all while a few layers of fabric were the only barriers between your dick and her pussy. Fuck you knew how to overstimulate a girl
Laying Tara on on the bed, you could really tease the brunette better in this position. You can feel the Tara’s wetness through her soaked panties, and you’re sure she can feel the pre-cum leak out of your cock. Your hands are on her hips as if you were thrusting, yet you deny her and your pleasure for the sake of being an ass
“Don’t you want me to ruin you for anyone else? I promise I’ll stretch you out so good no other guys’ cock can fill you up like me.”
“Fuck you. I hate you, you’re s-such a fucking asshole, you know that?” Tara reaches for anything she can hold onto, your arms being the nearest thing
“I can think ways you could ‘hate’ me even more” You smile when Tara reaches to take off her panties but you find her hands first. You intertwine your hands together and the action is so soft Tara almost forgets about the situation she’s in. Almost
“Whenever I masturbate I think of you, did you know that? God, sometimes I have these hookups and all I can think about is you cumming around my cock”
Tara thinks it’s embarrassing how she’s about to cum just by your sickeningly sweet voice and the constant friction between you two. Tara also thinks she’d rather die than miss an opportunity of a lifetime.
Sure you were a cocky pain in the ass, but you were her cocky pain in the ass.
“Fuck- I admit it! I think you’re the hottest fucking person in the world. I like you.” Tara looks straight into your eyes, and the smile reserved only for her makes another appearance
“That wasn’t so hard, was it Tar?”
“I still hate you.” You unbuckle your belt and unbutton and unzip your jeans with watchful eyes. You pull down your boxers just enough so that your cock springs out, making Tara’s mouth water. Fuck you were big
Pulling Tara’s panties to the side, she’s dripping wet when you swipe your finger across her slit
“Fuck- (Y-Y/n)” Tara sings when you lick up her juices with your tongue. She buries her hands in your hair, bringing you closer to her dripping cunt. You moan at her taste and the vibrations are almost enough to get Tara to cum. Almost
You rise to your knees, lining up your dripping cock with the shorter girls dripping pussy. You decide to be evil and rub your dick against her slit before easing your tip into her hole. It was infuriating how slow you were going and Tara remembers why she hated you in the first place
Tara’s whining and whimpering under you and you can’t remember a time where you’ve been happier than in this moment
Tara on the other hand, has never hated you more in her life than in this moment
The younger Carpenter decides to be bold when she grabs your shirt and forces you forward. You’re caught off guard and over half of your cock finds itself nestled tightly in her pussy as you catch yourself with your arms
“Y-You’re sneaky, aren’t ‘cha” With your face so close to hers, Tara realizes you’re as much of a victim to your teasing as she is. She can tell it’s taking everything inside of you not to fuck her raw until your dick is limp and Tara’s legs are sore
“You can go fast. I can handle it, baby” Tara cups your face with her hand, stroking your cheek with such softness like you aren’t literally lodged into her cunt like a dog in heat
With that confirmation, you give Tara a peck on the lips and buck your hips in such a way you hit that spongey spot inside of her
The sound of skin slapping is louder than the blasting music downstairs, but your grunting and Tara’s moaning combined are louder than both. Thank god the owner of the house was your friend because you don’t know if you could come out of that room if this is what Tara sounded like
“Fuck- I’m close” You say a little too breathlessly for your liking
“Don’t p-pull out.” The shorter girl uses your shirt as leverage to keep you inside of her. Your eyebrows furrow in confusion
“T-Too messy, don’t feel like cleaning up.” Tara answers between moans like she can read your mind
The familiar heat you’re so used to finally snaps. Wrapping her legs around yours, you cum with almost a guttural whine. Your orgasm is enough for Tara to have hers and you fuck her through it, making sure none of your cum drips out of her hole
You pull out and a few dribbles of your semen flow out of her cunt. You plug her pussy with your fingers and Tara is far too sensitive to handle it
“D-Don’t tell me you’re tired already?” Tara jokes, but all air in her lungs leave when you let out a laugh of your own
“I’ve got all night, love.”
Tara has to remember to make you buy her a morning after pill.

ꜱɪᴅᴇ ᴛᴏ ꜱɪᴅᴇ ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. tara carpenter, scream.
warning(s): fem!reader, use of she/her, fluff(?), smut (only implied. not detailed.), amber is alive and sane, anika is alive, no gf au, talks of the readers body being fit and toned, reader is a gym rat, talks of protein intake and meal prep, talks of the gym, friends with benefits, etc.
HC summary: the one where tara is fucking her gym rat neighbor…
ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. masterslist. ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. ֹ⠀⠀✶ ⠀. ֹ⠀⠀✶
Tumblr media
it started off as an innocent crush, really. it really did.
see, when tara and sam first moved into the apartment, tara would see you jogging around the complex.
“woah, she’s hot.”
sam, peaks, humoring her sisters comment. she hated to admit it, and she never would aloud but you were indeed ‘hot’
tara figured you must live in the complex as she’d seen you on your morning jog twice but it wasn’t until the third day she had found out you lived right across from her, she were coming home from her afternoon class and caught a glimpse of you, clad in your black alo sports bra with matching, grey alo sweats, entering your apartment
you had shot her a quick smile as you unlocked your door to step in
tara’s little high schoolish crush grew, in fact so much core four made it a running joke
“there’s your neighbor!” mindy perked up, looking out the apartment window
“where?!” tara immediately jumped up from her macbook that sat on the kitchen table, she searched through the window, met with an empty complex
“i’m just teasing you!”
mindy’s obnoxious laugh turned to a harsh “ow!” being met with a tara’s punch in the arm
“i was just joking!”
“why don’t you just ask the girl out already? i mean, she goes to blackmore too and you live right next door to each other—”
tara cuts off chad, who were laid out on the couch scrolling through instagram, “she goes to blackmore?!”
“yeah we sit next to each other in math. she’s really smart, lets me cheat off her.”
“you have to introduce me to her!”
and that chad did.
it wasn’t odd but it wasn’t particularly normal either that out of the blue chad had asked to hang outside of math—i mean, besides him copying your answer you two discussed gym related things and sometimes video games
you were a simple person and chad was a cool guy. why not?
“here comes chad with your dick drop off”
“you mean pussy drop off?” amber counters mindy.
“hey, you don’t know what she has in her pants.”
“will you two shut up?” tara seethes, as she fixes her hair and straightens her posture.
“everyone, this is y/n. y/n this is core four.”
fuck. you looked so good. tara couldn’t even understand how you could look so good in an oversized beat up t-shirt and black sweats. you just always managed to look so sporty and it really turned her on.
“hey! you’re my neighbor aren’t you? apartment 216.” you instantly recognized tara.
little did the carpenter know, you had been watching her too. developing your own little crush. seeing her come home from classes. her skinny jeans and crop top combos never failed to catch your eye. you liked the fact that she seem studious, yet looked like one of those hot popular bitchy girls in the movies.
“yeah, yeah. i’m tara.” you exchange a hand shake.
“y/n here is really into horror games…i told her that’s perfect because we love horror movies. especially, tara, i bet you could talk her right out of her panties about horror movies.”
both mindy and amber, on either side of chad punch either of his arms at the same time.
“excuse, my brother…he lacks social skills, part of his lumped up brain.”
“it’s fine, i deal with him all day in math.” you joke.
“so, horror movies, huh? what’s your poison? slasher, thriller…”
“physiological. like, the babadook.”
“no way! my brother loves that movie. it used to scare me to death when i was a kid.”
you get close to not only, tara but core four rather quickly.
tara eager to get to know you and get in your pants, invited you to movie night immediately.
of course, leave it to mindy and amber to tease her about the way she would hog you.
“ok y/n’s on her way, said she’s in the shower.” tara reads off the text you had sent her.
“she’s gonna be all over her again.” mindy snickers, wrapping her arm around anika’s shoulder.
“shut up, you literally worship the ground anika walks on.”
“duh, she’s my girlfriend.”
it wasn’t long before movie nights with core four turned into just you and tara hanging. first you started to get coffee together,
“i can’t believe you like your coffee black.”
“it feeds my soul. plus, it’s an appetite curver and i’m on a cut.”
“i’ll never understand your gym talk.”
“and that’s what i love about you.” you joke.
then it turned into walks at the park,
“ya’ know, we could be running right now.”
“not a chance.”
then it turned into tara hanging around at your apartment,
“so remind me what a ‘winter arc’ is?”
you continue you cut of the banana that was set to be put in the blender along with other cut fruit and your protein mix.
“it’s basically, like when you workout and diet all winter so when summer comes you’re all ‘hot’ and shit.”
“huh…maybe i need a winter arc.”
“no you don’t. trust me.”
tara pauses, were you flirting with her?
“that’s a compliment.” you read the expression on her face.
“well, if i don’t need one, neither do you.”
“oh, i’m not on a winter arc, hon. this is a lifestyle.” you tease, before turning the blender on.
it wasn’t until a month after nonstop flirting and banter, you and tara had kissed.
you were both sharing a movie night alone in your apartment, you sat side by side under your comforter on your reclined couch.
tara being comfortable enough with you that her head was on your shoulder, mindlessly ignoring the movie as she admired the feel of your body.
“dude, your arms look so slim but are like rock hard.” she reaches up, feeling your bicep.
“why, i do workout you know.” you tease, letting out a snicker.
tara ignores it, letting her hands childish roaming your body.
“you have got to tell me your secret, you stomach feels amazing.” over your fitted black under-armor shirt, tara runs her fingers and nails over your ab’d stomach.
“handsy much.”
“oh shit, sorry.” fuck. did she just fuck things up? come on too strong?
“no, no…” you grab her hand, placing it back onto your stomach.
“i didn’t say i didn’t like it.”
tara looks up at you like a deer caught in headlights, she swallows the lump that’s in your throat, her bottom lip caught in between her teeth as you lick your own lips and eye her face down.
she doesn’t know why she’s so nervous that she hesitates. this is all she’s wanted for the past two months.
she’s in a trance and it takes you finally leaning in to break her out of it.
she becomes hungry and irresistible to you all at once.
this time, she seriously does let her hands wander. she can’t get a enough of your body, you feel hot and cold all at the same time.
her body feels all hot with your hands on her waist.
you firmly pull her into your lap.
for a second you break the kiss, “tell me if you want me to stop, okay?”
tara pants, “god, why would i ever want you to stop?”
eagerly, she goes back in for more.
her hands slid up her waist, pushing your shirt up, indicating that she wanted to get it off and you take the hint. breaking the kiss, you reach for the front neck hem of your shirt and pull it over your head. you are left in a white gymshark sports bra.
hastily tara does the same, sliding over her blue crop top , leaving her in a black bra.
“you have a tattoo?” tara runs her fingers over your mid-torso tat that’s just says ‘love’ in cursive. how didn’t she notice this before?
“yeah, matching family thing.” you brush off, softly grabbing the back of her neck to pull her back into the kiss.
that night tara woke up in your bed, and months worth of nights after that.
it almost became a routine, you’d even given her a spare key to your apartment. tara would wait for you while you finished up at the gym. you’d cooked a little dinner, you two would talk, and then fuck.
you weren’t really sure what to call you two and neither was tara. but to be honest it didn’t really matter, all you knew was that you enjoyed the time you spent together and you were only seeing each other.
when anyone asked sometimes tara would slip and call you her girlfriend but you didn’t mind.
you went along with it.
“you make a sexy gladiator.”
“and you make a sexy pirate.” you lean down, kissing tara.
“you and your girlfriend are gross.” amber fake gags in her raven (teen titans) costume.
“at least i have a girlfriend.” tara teases as she pulls you into the obnoxiously loud and crowed house that held a halloween party.
“girlfriend, huh?”
“i mean—”
“i’m just teasing.” you smirk.
the pirate rolls her eyes, “well tease me in another way, you look really hot in that costume.”
━━━👩🏽‍💻 im back…sorta…kinda. anyways finally out of my depression #backtogetherwiththeloml #winterarc #manifesting this was definitely supposed to be a fic but i was too lazy and turned it into a headcon. yes this is named after side to side by ari.

lipstick stain
a/n: short little drabble for u cuties
warnings:none
pairing: wednesday addams x fem!reader
summary: in which u leave ur lipstick stain on her bottle.
word count: 500+
Tumblr media
You're in history class, your teacher is out of the classroom saying 'it was an emergency' but when others gave that excuse she wouldn't let them go. Your leg bouncing up and down you can feel your mouth begin to dry up; you left your water bottle at home. You don’t know why or how your like this. On Monday it was your school ID, Tuesday it was your glasses, Wednesday it was your binder, and now it’s your water bottle.
“I really think I’m gonna die of thirst.” You say to your friend, as the teacher walks back in to the classroom.
You raise your hand, whilst the teacher ignores you.
“Yes, Ms. L/n.”
“Can I go get a drink of water?”
“No you guys are gonna leave soon.”
You looked at the clock.
5 minutes left. I can survive this, you thought to yourself.
Turns out, 5 minutes felt like an eternity. You rested your head as the pain grew more and more, you looked at the clock once more til it showed 12:59. Quickly people around you gathered their things shoving them into their backpacks. You grabbed your stuff, the bell rang, you just decided to hold onto your stuff. Getting up from your seat, clinging your bag to your shoulder, side by side with your friend.
“Hey, You’ll be fine I’m sure your next teacher will let you get water.”
“I have Wednesday next period, I can get some of her water.”
You didn’t know it yet, but surely your other friend did, you definitely felt someone more than friends toward Wednesday.
“Hey, can I borrow your mirror really quick?” You ask you friend, taking a darkish red lipstick from your bag. She hands the mirror to you, with a big goofy grin on her face.
“Why are you laughing..” You ask with a smile and a confused face all together. You open the mirror looking through it, before touching up the red in your lips.
“Isn’t it obvious?” She tells you. You shake your head, handing her mirror back, walking off before she can say anything else.
You hide behind the door, fixing your hair. As you go inside, you see Wednesday seated in the middle right side. You go over to her, playing your bag down, swiftly taking a seat before anyone else could.
“Hi, Wednesday.” You smile at her, the presence of her just making you warm, which normally to others is humanly, physically impossible due to her cold personality. But you always saw more to her than that.
“Hello.” She said with a monotone voice.
“You think I can get some water?”
“Did you forget your water bottle,” Wednesday turns her gaze at you, your face softening up with her black filled siren eyes. You nodded slowly, “Not surprised, L/n.” She grabbed her water from her bag, sliding it over to you. You internally smiled, grabbing it from the desk opening it.
You took a sip, your shoulders fall in relief, your mouth no longer dry anymore, everything just filled with relief. You close the lid, "Let me get some." Wednesday tells you. You take the top off, sliding it over to her. Wednesday goes to drink it, before seeing what was on the side. Wednesday turned a bright pink, her body radiating with heat.
Your lipstick stain was left.

My girls (18+)
Pairing: Amber Freeman x f!reader x Tara Carpenter
Warnings: smut, threesome, fingering, oral, strap-on sex, spitting, public sex (but no one sees)
Summary: You fall in love with your best friends, and decide it's better to slowly pull away. You know you've made the right decision when they start dating... Or did you?
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Loud music blares from speakers as you try to make your way to the living room, bumping into sweaty, drunken bodies and muttering quiet apologies that fall on deaf ears. You already curse yourself for agreeing to go to this party, Wes' puppy eyes being your undoing as always.
Someone drops their beer and you duck away just in time to avoid getting your feet splashed. You groan, looking around for a familiar face. Wes promised Mindy would be here, but you can't see either of them, so you opt for the couch in the corner, unoccupied and thankfully not covered in puke or any other disgusting substances.
You still don't get why Amber insists on having these parties, especially when Tara is not a huge fan of them. Amber always does whatever her girlfriend wants, you're surprised the shorter girl still hasn't put her foot down on this.
"Having a good time?" You almost jump in your seat when Tara appears out of nowhere and sits on the armrest, leaning down so you could hear her.
"Just waiting for Wes and Mindy." You smile, looking around nervously.
Amber is notorious for her jealousy streak, rumors of broken hands and dislocated shoulders circulate the school whenever someone as much as looks at Tara the wrong way. So yeah, no matter how much you like her, both of them really, you still want to keep your hands intact.
"Oh." Tara looks away, disappointed, before looking back at you with a frown. "What about me? You're not happy to see me?"
You swallow, looking down at your lap. You, Tara and Amber used to be close, closer than you are with Mindy and Wes, but when you realized the depth of your feelings for them you started pulling away. It wasn't as obvious at first. You still spent time with them and the rest of your friends, but with time you started to bail whenever the two of them were present, unknowingly hurting the pair. Amber asked Tara out around that time and you knew you did the right thing, no matter how much it hurt.
"Of course I'm happy to see you, Tara," you whisper, but she catches your words, eyes lighting up with emotion you couldn't place.
"Yeah?" She smiles. "You've avoided us like plague these past few months. Couldn't be too sure, you know?"
You wince, and apology already on your tongue, but she beats you to it. "Dance with me?"
"Amber won't mind?" You ask, your eyes darting around the dark room, searching for a certain brunette.
"Don't worry about it," she replies, tugging you up, "I'm sure she'll be happy once she sees us dancing together."
You swallow, not daring to move your hands from where she's put them around her waist, and look around again. "Why is that?"
Another pair of arms circles your waist from behind and you suddenly find yourself sandwiched between two of the most beautiful women you've ever laid your eyes on.
Amber presses herself against you and moves your hair to one side, nestling her face on the revealed space between your neck and shoulder, her breath warming your skin. "You're a pretty little thing, Y/n, but you ask too many questions," she whispers against the shell of your ear and chuckles when you shudder, before her hands sneak under the hem of your short skirt to settle on your hips as you dance.
You close your eyes and will yourself to wake up. There's no way you're not dreaming right now.
"Is this okay?" Tara cups your face, resting her forehead against yours.
You nod and bite on your lip, skin flushed and on fire.
"Use your words, pretty thing," Amber says, lips brushing against the sensitive spot on your neck. Tara moves her hands lower until they settle just below your breasts and tugs on the fabric of your shirt, almost making your breasts spill out right then. She is quick to place her palms on top of them, squeezing gently, making your arch in their hold.
"Words, baby," Amber asks again and you can tell she's getting impatient, but you can't remember what she wanted you to say, your brain is too foggy.
"What?" You gasp.
"Is this okay?" Tara asks, more forcefully this time, hands on your breasts, fingers itching to slide under the fabric.
"Yes, yes, please," you moan, nodding into her neck. You try to keep it together, keep moving to the beat even though your knees might give in at any moment.
"Amber," Tara whines, sneaking her hands under the hem of your shirt to settle them over your bra, "let's take her upstairs."
"Not yet, babe, let's have some fun here first," she says, her deft fingers wandering up your thigh, hitching up your skirt in the process. "You don't mind, do you?" She asks, squeezing your inner thigh.
You try to subtly pry away, embarrassment painting your cheeks red as you look around to see if anyone's paying attention. The music is loud enough to mask any sound, and the bright flashing lights make it impossible to see anything that's not right under your nose. Once you're sure no one is paying attention, you relax a little and shake your head no at Amber's expectant look. She smirks and leans down to bite down softly on the juncture of your neck before trailing wet kisses over the exposed skin, tips of her fingers inching closer to your panties with each lap of her tongue.
You try not to whimper at the feeling, but when Tara swiftly pushes your bra up to cup your breasts and squeeze them, you arch into the touch, your quiet moan disappearing between her lips as she crushes into you with a deep kiss that leaves you breathless and wanting more.
"Feels good?" Amber breathes against your ear, dipping a finger in your drenched underwear. She hums, sliding a single digit down your folds, collecting your wetness, and all you can do is moan into Tara's waiting mouth, granting her tongue easy access.
She rolls your nipples between her fingers, tugging and squeezing, as Amber's finger slides over your clit. You pull away from Tara, head falling back to rest on Amber's shoulder as she pushes two fingers inside your pussy. The shorter girl chuckles into your neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses down your neck.
"You think you'll come like this?" She asks. "Right here, in front of everyone?"
"For you," you gasp, "for you I will."
Tara moans, her pretty brown eyes open wide as takes you in. "Amber," she huffs impatiently, and this time her girlfriend listens. You feel her pull away, her fingers leaving your heat before she forces them between Tara's lips, the smaller girl sucking on them eagerly. You bite back a moan at the arousing sight, your legs shaking with need to have those long fingers back inside you.
They guide you upstairs quickly, expertly avoiding the drunken mess of young adults and pushing you inside Amber's bedroom, the door locking behind you with a quiet click. You lean back against it, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath, trying to wrap your mind about the fact that it's actually happening.
"Are you okay?" Tara whispers, cradling your face between her soft palms. "If it's too much we'll stop. I can give you a ride back home if you want." You open your eyes, breath hitching from the proximity of the smaller girl. She's just a breath away, her eyes wide and earnest.
"I'm good." Your voice is hoarse, like you haven't spoken in hours. "I want this."
Amber presses into your side, her arms around your waist, pulling you close, her lips wrapping around your earlobe with a gentle tug. "You have no idea how long we've wanted this," she husks, trailing kisses down your neck. Tara guides your face, pulling you in a languid kiss as Amber slowly tugs off your skirt along with your underwear, leaving a trail of goosebumps in her wake.
You end up naked on Amber's bed, her thumb drawing tight circles on your clit. Tara is on your other side, playing with your nipples, her mouth hot on your neck, her lips leaving bruises on the tender skin. She inches lower, her breath burning, before sucking on the nub. Her slick tongue is all over your breasts, teeth gently tugging, nibbling on the heated skin.
Amber pulls you into a kiss, her fingers plunge inside your clenching hole. You moan into her mouth, nails digging into her back. Tara whimpers, throwing a leg over your hips, her core flush against your thigh. She humps messily, smearing arousal over your skin, her reddened lip pulled between her teeth.
"Ah! A-Amber!" You cry out when her fingers hit your sweet spot, making your vision blur. "Please, please, Amber."
"Tell me what you need," she husks, biting on your shoulder. Your breasts brush, and you cling tighter, pulling her flush against you. "I n- ah… I need more."
She hums against your skin and adds another finger, fucking you into the mattress. Her fingers spread you wide, making your toes curl. She leans close, her breath hot on your ear. "Come for us."
Your hips buck as you come with a loud moan, but there's nowhere for them to go with Amber almost on top of you and Tara still fucking herself on your thigh - that particular image only makes you come harder.
"You did good, baby," Amber murmurs as she slowly withdraws, wiping her fingers on your inner thigh.
You whine at the loss, trying to grab her as she pulls away. She steps off the bed to rummage in her dresser. You look away, focusing on the smaller girl. Her brows are pinched, her eyes tightly closed. You bite on your lower lip, grasping her hip and halting her movements. You change positions, settling on top of her, her eyes wide and earnest as looks up at you. You press a kiss to the corner of her mouth, starting your descent on her body, your fingers drawing circles on her hips as your lips mark her skin. Your hunger grows, your cunt growing wetter with each moan you pull from her pouty lips. You play with her breasts, leaving a trail of spit where your tongue meets her skin. Her fingers tangle in your hair, pushing your head down.
You feel Amber move behind you, the bed dipping with her weight. She shuffles closer, and you feel her strap poking your thigh. You shudder as she forces you up on your knees, your back arched, your ass in the air. You manage to hold yourself on your elbows, your face right against Tara's pussy, making your mouth water. She's soaked, her clit swollen with need.
"Fuck, you two look so beautiful," Amber gasps, running a hand down your spine before nudging the tip of her silicone cock against your entrance. Your whole body shudders and you take a few steadying breaths before leaning down and burying your face in the smaller girl's heat.
Tara's hips jolt violently at the first swipe of your tongue, her moans ring in your ears. You put your hands on her hips, pinning her down as you continue licking her wet folds, humming at the taste.
She tastes devine.
You're ready to push your tongue inside, when Amber finally moves, thrusting her hips with enough force to press you against Tara's core. You moan around her clit, sucking eagerly as Amber sets up a pace behind you. It's fast and deep, and you whimper pathetically every time she pulls out.
Tara whines, pulling at your hair, and you finally get enough of a hold on yourself to thrust your fingers inside her warmth. You suck on her clit, scissoring your fingers inside, enjoying the way her pussy stretches around your digits.
"Baby, fuck," Tara moans, pushing your face into her pussy. You hum, sending jolts of pleasures around her core.
"Good girl," Amber praises behind you, bending over your back to press kisses to your shoulders, "You're doing so good for us, beautiful… Taking me so well and making Tara feel good. What a special princess we have."
You mewl at the praise, arching your back more and meeting her thrust halfway. She reaches around you to cup your breasts, tugging at your erect nipples and twisting them between her fingers. You moan into Tara's heat, thrusting three fingers inside at a quick pace, feeling her clench harder before she falls apart under your tongue. She cries out your name, then Amber's, before her moans turn incoherent. You keep moving inside her slowly, lapping her juices before she starts to pull away.
You stay between her legs, nose buried under her hipbone as Amber sets up a quicker pace now that Tara is taken care of. Your body bounces from the strength behind her thrusts, filthy sounds of skin slapping against skin echoing around the room. Tara pets your hair, shushing you when your screams get too loud.
"Do you want everyone to hear?" She asks, tilting your face up. You moan louder when one of her hands sneaks down your body to play with your clit, putting pressure on the pulsing nub. "Do you want everyone to know what we're doing up here?"
"Y-yes," you moan, clinging to the smaller girl.
Amber chuckles from behind you and pulls Tara in for a wet kiss, their tongue dancing in heat of passion, her hips slowing while she enjoys her girlfriends lips.
You wiggle your ass impatiently and the strap shifts inside you, making you gasp. Tara hums, and pulls away from Amber, tugging you up claiming your lips. Amber picks up her pace again, this time thrusting deeper, making your legs tremble. Your arms can no longer hold your weight, so you fall on top of Tara, burrowing your face in the crook of her neck.
"Fuck, I wish I could take a picture," Amber pants, snapping her hips faster. "My girls, looking so pretty." She puts her hands on your cheeks possessively, spreading them apart, before you feel something wet and warm on your skin. She spreads her spit over your puckered hole, teasing. "You'll give it to me, won't you?"
You nod, your face wet with tears and Tara's slick, your whole body tensing as you approach the edge. Tara moves her finger faster, feeling your heartbeat in your clit, and presses her palm to your lips right when you're about to snap.
Your orgasm comes with a blinding flash and a muffled scream, your body shaking in their hold. Amber continues fucking you, drawing out your orgasm, while Tara gently massages your sides.
"You're okay, baby, you were perfect for us," she whispers, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
Amber pulls out and you fall beside Tara, your body spent and limp, and she wraps her arms around you. Amber lies on your other side only a moment later, pulling you into her chest. "Rest, princess. You'll need your strength tomorrow."

Tumblr media
You were currently napping at your desk, drool dripping down the side of your mouth as your trigonometry teacher drowned on about—something, you couldn’t really think right now. You were up until three in the morning preparing for your physics exam. You would be risking your spot on the football team if you got anything that wasn’t passing.
So here you were, knocked out in the middle of math, when all of a sudden something smacks the side of your face. It’s enough to get your attention, waking you up before you look around with a puzzled expression. You rubbed your eyes before grabbing the folded piece of paper that had hit you.
you drool when you sleep, the note read. You peaked to your left, glancing at the girl who sat one over from you. A smile began to graze your face when you realized who had thrown you the note. You wrote a reply on the corner of the paper before swiftly passing it back to the girl.
When she looked over to you, you were already looking up ahead as if nothing. She read the note; at least i dont watch people while they’re sleeping creep. She couldn’t help but smirk down at the note, playfully rolling her eyes before ripping off another piece of paper from her notebook to roll into a ball and throw it at you. You narrow your eyes at her but she’s imitating a confused look.
Then the sound of your teacher clearing his throat could be heard. “Ahem. Tara and Y/N, is there something you would like to share?”
You and Tara make eye contact before looking back at the teacher.
“No, Mr. Quinn,” Tara said before you followed with, “No, sir.”
After a second he nodded, “Alright then—as I was saying.” He turned back around, continuing the lesson.
When the class was over, Tara walked over as you were packing your things. You could hear her impatience as you did so which caused you to roll your eyes. “You don’t have to wait for me,” you told her while zipping up your bag.
“And you don’t have to be the slowest person alive, but here we are,” she countered as you both began to walk out of the classroom.
“Whatever—damn it these halls,” you grunt after somebody slams into you. “We’re doomed if the school’s ever set on fire.”
“I don’t care what the code or whatever is, if the school’s set on fire it’s every student for themselves,” Tara replies.
“You do know that means right?”
“What?” She knitted her eyebrows, looking up at you as the two of you continued to walk in the school’s halls.
“Tiniest people go first,” you answer—immediately making Tara shove your arm.
“Shut the fuck up,” she laughed, her dimples showing as she lightly shook her head. Tara’s hand was still gripping your sleeve, an action that neither of you took notice of. She’s been your friend, your best friend, since you were six years old; a bit of physical touch was not uncommon in your friendship, never questioned.
Both of you were now leaning against a vacant wall, and just as she was about to open her mouth to say something else, another arm slipped around your waist, causing Tara to let go of your arm. It didn’t take long for this person to practically be clinging off of you—her arm around your waist, the index finger of her other hand hooked in one of your belt loops.
Of course, who else could this person be than none other than your girlfriend; Amber Freeman.
“Oh, hey Tara. Didn’t see you,” Amber backhandedly greeted without even looking at Tara. Amber had always been passive aggressive towards Tara. The Carpenter couldn’t explain it well if you asked her, but ever since they met—seventh grade—its like she has this vendetta against her. You were having lunch with Tara when Amber met you, and it didn’t take long for her to take a liking to you. She had developed a crush on you throughout middle school, it wasn’t until the summer before sophomore year that you and her got together.
And that is how the three of you were now in this hallway, Amber with her arm around your waist, your own arm around her shoulder, while Tara resisted the urge to gag at the PDA.
“I actually have to get going, but I’ll see you later?” Tara says as she starts to make a subtle exit. She no longer saw a reason to stay.
“Of course, see you around,” you send her a smile that she doesn’t hesitate to send back. That was something you could always count on her for.
Your eyes don’t leave Tara until they lose track of her in the crowded hallway. Just seconds later you felt a tug on your belt loop and you looked down to see Amber.
“Are you coming to the party tonight? Marcy’s throwing it since her parents are out of town for the next few days,” your girlfriend explained.
“Sorry, can’t tonight. I have to watch my little brother. Some other time?” Your tone was apologetic as you gently rubbed her lower back, hoping she wouldn’t be too upset you couldn’t make it to Marcy’s party.
“Whatever. It’s fine,” was all she said—her voice monotone and dismissive—while she began to pull away. Your eyebrows furrowed at her actions and a pressure starts to envelop your chest. She started to turn to walk away from you and that’s when you reached for her hands.
“Hey,” you murmured loud enough for her to hear while you turned her back around to face you. “I’ll try and get the next one, okay?” You try to hold eye contact with her but she seems to find the ground more interesting. “I’m sorry, Ambs.”
She finally looks up, sighing. “It’s okay. Next time.”
“Next time,” you nod as you bite the inside of your cheek.
Amber looked at you, letting out another sigh before saying, “I’m fine, Y/N—really. You’ll get the next one.” That tightening feeling in your chest begins to loosen at her reassurance. “I have to go,” she gives you a kiss, deepening it just before pulling away. “I’ll text you this weekend?”
You hummed in response, and the two of you shared another kiss before you both set off for the day.
After making sure you had everything, you began to walk towards the main entrance—leaving the building before making your way to the spot where you and Tara meet up everyday after school. You always walk home together, pretty much since you first started becoming friends.
You leaned against the pillar as you waited for Tara; it’s not like you didn’t see her just a few minutes earlier, so she shouldn’t be too long. You look out ahead, blankly staring at the patches of ice that covered the ground; it was windy out, so much in fact you felt as though you couldn’t go without five seconds of blinking or else you would start tearing up. Thank goodness for eyelids—
—“Boo!” You heard someone shout; you immediately jumped back, startled, your hands were raised and ready to swing at whoever or whatever. But any thoughts of fighting vanish when you look over to see the culprit. “Jesus fuck, Tara,” you suspired.
She’s laughing her ass off, both hands over her mouth. You let out a dramatic exhale before saying, “I’m gonna get you for this. Just wait.”
“Oh yeah?” She replied between giggles, “What are you gonna do? Throw a football at me?”
“You’ll see,” you warned while narrowing your eyes at her.
Tara was finally able to get herself to stop laughing. “Of course you will, tough guy.”
“Whatever,” you mumbled as the two of you began to walk. “So, got any plans on this incredibly dull Friday evening?” You inquired while digging through your pocket for your gloves.
“Mmm not really,” Tara answered. Her arms always had a slight sway to them as she walked; it’s something you’ve always noticed, it’s one of the things that’s never changed about her.
“Then are you free to come over? My parents are out of town and I’m still gonna be watching my brother, but he’s probably just gonna be playing video games with his friends the whole time anyway,” you said; your hands were still digging around in your pockets.
“Yeah, I’m down.” Tara looked at you with raised eyebrows before saying, “Um, you looking for something?”
You suddenly groaned when you realized, “Shit. I left my gloves at home.” You roll your eyes at your own forgetfulness before stuffing your hands back in your pockets in an attempt to keep them warm.
“You can take mine,” Tara tells you. Without hesitation, she stops and begins to take off her own gloves but you put your hand over her own to stop her.
“Tara, don’t be ridiculous. I’ll be fine,” you try to reassure her.
At this point, you both have stopped walking. Tara shook her head at you, “Don’t be so stubborn. Just take them.”
“What about your hands?”
“I’ll survive.”
“Now who’s being stubborn?” Ugh, you were so annoying. How dare you use her own words against her.
“Fine. How about this, you take one glove and I keep the other one.” She looked at the hesitant look on your face before sighing, “If you don’t take it then I’ll just refuse to wear my gloves at all and then we’ll both freeze our hands off.”
“Fine,” you finally gave in, taking the other glove from Tara and putting it on. You slipped on only half of the glove before you realized something. “Wait. You don’t have pockets.”
“Okay?” Tara looked at you confused.
“Where are you gonna put your ungloved hand?”
“Oh my God, I’ll be okay. I have—”
“—Warm blood? Yeah, I’ve heard that one before,” you chuckled.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Tara asked in a defensive tone.
“You said the same thing when we went to see No Way Home but all I could hear was your teeth clattering.”
“That is not true!”
“People complained!”
After a few moments of silence of seeing who would break first, you finally spoke up. “Okay. How about this, you use one of my pockets. Deal?”
“It’s not that deep,” Tara protested.
“...Deal?”
Tara rolled her eyes, shutting them as she sighed before looking at you again. “Deal.”
She got closer to you before you wrapped your arm around her, giving her right hand access to your right pocket. A smile grazed your face, “See now was that so hard, shortstack?” You teased as you lightly noogied her with your free hand.
“You are such an ass and a half for that,” you heard her bitterly say.
“Yet you stay,” you said as you were both turning the corner to where your house was.
“I should’ve left you on that street corner where you were standing.”
“But you didn’t,” you remark while getting your key out of your pocket.
“Just shut up and open the door. It’s freezing and my feet still hurt from gym,” Tara complained, never dropping her hand from your pocket.
“Oh? I thought you were—what was it? ‘Warm blooded’ you said?” You smirked, beginning to turn the front door’s lock with your key. Tara started shoving you as soon as you unlocked the door.
“Hush,” she scolded you while taking off her shoes.
“No need to shove.” You kick off your shoes before placing them to the side. You and Tara make your way to the kitchen, placing your stuff down on the way in.
“Your parents already left?” Tara asked as you rummaged through your refrigerator.
“Yeah, they had to go to some funeral. Nobody I was close with though—I think it was a distant uncle,” you filled her in as you gave her one of the gatorades you pulled out of the fridge. “They should be back by tomorrow night,” you continued.
“And I’m assuming that’s your brother upstairs?”
Your little brother and his friends were currently yelling at each other over voice chat, you weren’t really sure what about but you knew it was video game related.
“Of course,” you said after taking a sip of your own gatorade, “Wanna head to my room or the basement?”
“Either’s fine, I’m honestly just beat. Anywhere I can lay down I’m totally open to,” Tara said while stretching out her arms.
“My room it is.”
“So,” Tara started; you were both on your bed, her legs on your lap as you both watched a show on your laptop, “what did the ice queen want when I left earlier?” The use of the nickname Tara had for Amber caused you to glance at her.
“Tara,” you said, giving her a look that matched your scolding tone. She mumbled something under her breath before you continued. “She just wanted to know if I could make it to a party tonight. I just said I couldn’t, and that was that.”
“Ah,” she replied in a monotone voice.
“What?” You asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nothing, that was just a normal ‘ah.’”
“If you say so…” You both turn back to screen, Tara reaches over you to grab one of the snacks before you feel a buzz in your pocket; you looked down to see you got a message from Mindy.
“Who is it?” asked Tara, followed by her shoving a few gummy bears in her mouth.
“Your sister,” you replied without hesitation as you typed.
She shoved you with her foot, glaring at you for your comment.
“Nah, just Mindy asking if I’ll be at the party—oh, and apparently Wes too.” Tara immediately grabbed the nearest pillow and shoved her face against it, her loud groaning muffled. You laughed at her actions before continuing, “Maybe it’s not as bad as you think. Maybe he really is just curi—nevermind, I can’t even lie.”
She let out an even louder groan. After a few more seconds, she finally picked up her head as she sighed.
“We dated for like five minutes. That’s it.”
“You can’t blame the boy for being so obsessed with you. I mean, look at that face,” you teased as you pinched her cheeks. She rolled her eyes, harshly letting her head fall against your bed’s headboard.
“Ow,” she winced.
“14 year-old you just had to be polite,” you said while also moving your head to rest against your bed’s headboard. You tilted your head to face her, now looking at each other as you slipped your phone back into your pocket.
“That isn’t …exactly what happened,” her eyes trailed down to her lap.
“It’s exactly what happened. You would’ve felt too guilty to say no because his pet hamster had just died.”
“Ugh.”
“How come you’re never that nice to me?” You feigned a pout while reaching for your phone that was now vibrating in your back pocket. “Uh. I gotta take this. Gimme a sec.”
Tara didn’t have to ask who it was. She already knew from the shift in your demeanor and attitude.
“Hey…” Tara heard you trail off as you left the room. You closed the door, going off to the side and leaning against the wall.
“Hey.” Amber’s greeting was curt and monotone. Nothing good could come from whatever she was about to say next.
“What’s up babe?” You hoped that your voice didn’t show how nervous you were.
“Don’t ‘babe’ me. What is this I’m hearing about you and Anika?” Shit. You know you should’ve told her sooner, you still would’ve gotten heat for it but at least it would’ve came from you and not a gossiping cheerleader just trying to stir up trouble.
“It’s nothing bad—I just need some help in physics and she agreed to tutor me,” you tried to explain as straight-forward as you could.
“How do you conveniently fail to mention this? We saw each other not long ago, yeah? So how come I have to hear about this from Daphne?”
“There’s nothing else going on other than studying. She just—”
“She just what?!”
“She just offered! She overheard me talking to Chad about needing to get my grade up!”
“Yeah right, Y/N! Everyone knows she has a thing for you, don’t be so naive,” she scolded as if you were a troublesome child. “I bet this is why you didn’t want to come to the party tonight.”
“Are you kidding? I told you, I have to watch my brother tonight. And Anika does not have a thing for me. Why can’t people just be nice to me without you freaking out?” Now you were pacing back and forth.
“Maybe I wouldn’t have to freak out if you would just tell me these things beforehand!” She shouted.
A familiar tightness in your chest grew with each word she threw at you, and your tongue felt as though it was glued to the roof of your mouth. What could you possibly say when you knew it wouldn’t suffice? You knew nothing you said would matter. You knew she wouldn’t have any of it.
“And you fail to notice half the school wants you—but once again, you’re just being naive! But I’m just your lame girlfriend, right? I don’t matter?”
You manage a scoff at her words. “Who—when did I say that?”
“Yeah go ahead, act like I’m insane. That I’m just making it all up in my head,” Amber went on as you rubbed the bridge of your nose.
“That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m sorry, I just—”
“So you’re saying I’m not making this all up in my head? That I should worry about this?” This remark only made you even more exasperated from how insane it all sounded. This is insane, right? You’re not losing it? There really is no winning with this woman.
“What? No! Of course not. Please just tell me what the right thing to say is.”
Then there was a pause that lasted a little over five seconds, but it felt longer. After the pause, you could hear Amber sigh over the phone. “I just need space right now.”
“I feel like… I feel like you always need space,” you confessed, aggravation at the tip of your voice.
“Have you ever considered this is why? Maybe I wouldn’t need so much space if you would actually learn to listen to me for once,” she sourly shot back. Although she was no longer shouting, you could feel her burning frustration through the phone. You were all too familiar with her pattern of emotions when it came to disagreements with her.
“I am listening but—”
“Clearly you’re not if there’s a ‘but’ to that.” Amber let out a dry laugh. “This is exactly why I need space; why we need space. When you wanna start acting like my girlfriend—you know where to reach me.”
She didn’t give you a chance to plead your case any further, hanging up the phone just as she spoke her last words.
You let your head hit the nearby wall as you slumped down to sit on the floor, groaning out. You tucked in your knees close to your chest before dropping your head to rest on them.
God, how could you be so stupid? You should know better by now—right? It’s not like you haven't had the same argument with Amber over and over again. It was routine at this point. Literally all your fights go about the same.
You picked at your jeans, silently murmuring to yourself as you replayed the argument in your head.
“Fine. Take your space. I don’t care.” Your chin rested on your free arm that laid on your knees as your other free hand continued to pick at your pants. “Are people not allowed to be nice to me? I don’t say anything when she studies with other people. What’s so different about me? I’ve never given her a reason to think otherwise…”
Just then, the door opened. You looked over to your right, completely forgetting you were just outside your bedroom door. You looked up to see Tara staring down at you as she leaned against the door frame.
“Hey,” she greeted, walking over to sit in the vacant spot next to you on the floor.
“Hi.”
"Talking to yourself?" She quipped, jokingly, as a way to lighten the mood.
"You know me," you said. But Tara saw through to your thrown attitude.
“You okay?” She asked once she sat down.
“I’m… alright.” You responded, now looking at her. “Just the usual, you know.” There was a pause and a look that Tara was giving; you broke, sighing as you stared back down to your own fingers before speaking again. “She, uh, found out about Anika tutoring me. I guess she’s not Anika’s biggest fan or something.”
Tara knew she should comfort you. No matter how much she wanted to tell you that Amber was terrible, no good, and a bitch, she knew that would do no good. Reassurance was the way to go in these situations with Amber, no matter how much she hated the taste of her own words. “She’ll come around. She always does.”
“Thanks…”
A moment of silence passes before Tara gets up from her spot, your eyes tracking her movement. She reaches her hand out for you to grab before saying, “Come on, let’s play Mortal Combat or something. I’m bored and feel like showing off.”
You laughed as you took her hand and stood up. When you stood up, your fingers interlocked with hers, almost like puzzle pieces. She rubbed her thumb over your hand for extra measure. A sense of warmth flew through you and the tension in your shoulders start to release.
"Thank you, Tara."

MINORS DNI
Pairing: (Amber Freeman x Fem!Reader x Tara Carpenter)
Content Includes: (Smut, double penetration)
Summary: Amber walks in on her roommate and her girlfriend, and doesn't expect their reaction.
Masterlist
Amber should have been pissed off, resentful even. Usually people grow angry when their roommate has sex with their girlfriend, especially when they’re…loud. It was the opposite with Amber, actually, it turned Amber on. She always had a crush on Tara, her roommate, and she hated her girlfriend when Tara first told her about it. That was until she finally met her girlfriend, Y/N. She was hot, and her tank tops and mini skirts clouded Amber’s thoughts when she touched herself at night.
Amber was on her way home from dinner; Tara had texted her that their dorm would be free around six. It was now six-thirty, and Amber didn’t give a thought about swinging the door open all the way. She stopped in her tracks, sliding her headphones off of her ears. There, on Tara’s bed, was Tara and Y/N. Y/N’s tank top was pulled down, revealing her bare chest. She sat on Tara’s lap, her pink skirt covering their laps. She moaned as Tara ground her hips upwards. Tara’s hand was groping at her boob, her mouth connected to her collarbone.
“Uh-” Amber stammered, her mouth slightly ajar. Y/N’s half-lidded eyes flicked to Amber’s widened ones. She only smiled seductively at Amber.
“Hey,” she whined, like it was casual. Tara now looked at Amber. Her red lip gloss was smeared, and her eyeshadow was smudged.
“I’m sorry, I’ll leave,” Amber nervously apologized, before both Tara and Y/N objected.
Y/N slid off of Tara, moaning. Amber looked at her in confusion, but it faded as she saw the pink strap-on Tara wore that was slick of Y/N’s liquids. “Do you wanna join us?” Y/N asked sweetly, grabbing Amber’s hand. Amber looked at her in surprise, but slowly nodded, looking between her and Tara.
Tara motioned her towards the bed. Amber anxiously walked towards her as Y/N wrapped her arms around Amber’s arm. Tara helped Amber onto the bed, and she connected her lips with hers. Amber moaned into Tara’s mouth, tasting her cherry lip gloss. Tara chuckled sweetly, pulling away and grabbing Amber’s chin with her thumb and index finger.
Y/N pouted, sliding her hands up Amber’s back to her shoulders. “I feel left out,” she complained. Amber smiled, and she turned around and grabbed Y/n by her neck, kissing her roughly. Tara began to unbutton Amber’s top as the other two kissed. Amber softly gasped at the cold air hitting her chest.
Tara moaned at the sight, instantly attaching her lips to her breasts.
“Fuck, that feels so good.” Amber whimpered.
She heard Y/N huff, and Amber softly laughed. “I think our pretty girl wants our attention,” Amber whispered to Tara, who lifted her head up to look at Y/N.
“Is that so, baby?” Tara asked her. Y/N nodded in response, reaching her hands at Tara. The two girls situated Y/N to sit between them. “You wanna try it, sweetheart?” Tara asked Y/N, kissing her cheek. Y/N nodded in excitement, and Amber only smiled in confusion. Tara only leaned to slide her nightstand drawer open, pulling out yet another strap-on.
Amber automatically moaned at the sight. Tara laughed, leaning over to whisper in Amber’s ear. “You wanna put this on and fuck her at the same time with me?”
In no universe, did Amber think she’d be here, wearing a matching strap-on dildo with Tara, fucking into Y/N aimlessly. Both Tara and Amber’s strap-ons were inside of Y/N’s tight, wet pussy. She was stretched to the brim, full of both of them. Amber’s chest was pressed against Y/N’s back, her hands situated on the curves of her hips. Tara was on her other side, one hand resting on Amber’s hand, the other on Y/N’s neck. Y/N rested her head on Amber’s shoulder as she leaned back, grinding her hips downwards.
The two whispered sweet nothings to Y/N as they thrusted upwards.
“Taking us both so well, aren’t you baby?”
“I bet all of your juices are staining the sheets.”
“Fuck, Tara, look at her face.”
"I'm so wet,"
Y/N’s whole body was on fire as it shook. She glanced down in between her and Tara’s body, watching as Tara’s breasts bounced. Tara smiled at her, and leaned down to suck on her breasts. Her tongue flicked over her nipple, causing her to whine. She clenched around them both, and Amber kissed her neck.
“You can do it baby, finish all over us,” Amber whispered in her ear. Y/N obeyed, letting go as she moaned both of their names. Tara sighed, wiping a strand of Y/N’s hair out of her face. “You did so good baby,”
Y/N smiled weakly, still leaning on Amber.
“Alright Amber,” Tara started.
Amber looked at Tara, away from Y/N after she kissed her plump lips.
Tara grabbed Y/N by her throat and slightly squeezed, before trailing her fingers down Amber’s stomach.
“Get on your fucking knees.”

No one said it was going to be easy, especially for the Carpenter sisters. With everything that they have endured, they now carry emotional baggage that they feel will follow them everywhere. Or so Sam feels that way. Tara refuses forthat to be her path, she refuses to be someone who lets one event define her entire life. She saw it with Sidney, Gale, and all those who have been through the same thing as her. People who can never seem to escape or move on from their past.
Tara refuses to see the therapist that Sam has been in contact with for her therapy sessions. She truly believes that she can handle it all on her own. Which, in retrospect, sounds absurd. Planning to go through four years of university without any help with her mental and emotional baggage? She doesn't want to talk to her friends about what happened or even think about what happened.
A part of her is still somewhat grieving Amber, it's expected, though. They had dated for quite some while, but Tara is now left with the thoughts of, 'Was any of it real?' Was Tara a pawn in Amber's sick and twisted game? That's how she felt like, at least. Like she let this all happen. Like all of it was somehow her fault. These destructive thoughts allowed Tara to cave in on herself. Her mind was as much a battlefield as her life itself.
Did she survive? Yes. Did she escape? No. She thought that moving away from Woodsboro would save her, she thought it was an escape. Her mind restricted her of that relief, of that escape. She survived, but at what cost? She feels she has absolutely no sense of direction. She wanted to blame Amber just as everyone had and then moved on, but she couldn'twhen she blamed herself for somehow allowing this to happen. Even now that Amber is gone, she still plagues her mind.
There is no excuse that she can give for Amber's actions, and she isn't sure that she wants to make an excuse for her.Every night for her is the same. The memory, the nightmare turned reality, haunts her. It's always the same but in a third-person point of view. She sees herself holding the gun, everything slowing down for her at that exact moment. The gun recoiled as the shot was taken, the noise ringing out from it. The look on Amber's face, the realization on her face.
Like every time, the bullet comes in contact with Amber's head, and just like that, she's dead again. The sound of the knife that she once held in her hand clattering on the floor. The sound had been almost deafening in her nightmares. It'salmost taunting the way that she watched as the blood splattered on her face. The blood that had belonged to her once beloved girlfriend.
Beloved. That's how Tara had seen Amber.
It's almost comical to you how Tara had ever seen Amber in any context but fake and off-putting. Amber wasn't the kindest, the easiest to get along with, or even the most caring. You'd almost feel guilty for not speaking out about it earlier if it weren't for others who had also felt that way and kept quiet as well. You weren't exactly friends with their friend group, you had always felt yourself to be a side character.
Chad had always been all over Liv. They were cute, sure, but there was no need for that PDA. Mindy was constantly going on about different horror movies, as well as still somehow complaining about not having a girlfriend and not wanting to commit to one. Wes was caring and all, but he could also get annoying at times. He had been the only one in the friend group who had felt the off feeling about Amber. It seemed like he and Amber were always bumping heads about Tara.
When Wes died, and the news got out about Amber being the one behind the killings along with Sam's boyfriend, Richie, you knew why he had been killed. Amber felt like he was an obstacle—blocking her path to Tara, stopping her from moving forward with everything. But what frustrated her the most was how much he'd begun questioning her, noticing how strangely she’d been acting. You felt almost thankful for keeping your mouth shut about how you felt. It could have been you.
In all honesty, you and Tara had been close at one point. Back in elementary, you had always invited Tara over to your house after noticing how Tara would spend hours waiting for someone to pick her up after school. She'd sometimes mention how she'd be locked out of her house because her mother wasn't home. You had let her come over, you never minded it since the two of you were friends after all.
Looking back at it, knowing what you know now, it's a bit bittersweet. Knowing the only reason it would take a while for someone to pick up Tara was that she had to wait until Sam got out of school, then walk from her middle school to Tara's elementary school, and finally bring Tara home. The times that she would say she was locked out of the house were either her mother was off getting drunk anywhere she could or her mother would lock her out as a form of punishment.
The thought of you not being there for her earlier had always stung. What about the times that it was raining? Was Tara out in the rain alone? You could never bring yourself to ask her, careful not to bring something up that could take her back to that time. You two had stuck together since those days in elementary when she'd come over constantly. Middle school is when it had gotten a bit rocky, Amber had finally come into the picture.
Amber was new, and Tara had always been too kind and understanding for her good. One day of simply showing Amber around the school had turned into having lunches together or hanging out after school. Days when you'd hang out with them or even with Tara alone, you had always felt Amber's burning glare and jealousy, even from behind. You always ignored it though, being able to hang out with Tara was worth it.
It was around this time that you had begun to like Tara and not in a normal friendship platonic way. It was easy to fall for Tara, or so you thought so. She was pretty, inside and out. Her face had always perfectly reflected her beauty on the inside. You were sure that Amber somehow knew that you liked her because of the constant glares. Still, you ignored her because you knew Tara way before Amber had ever known her.
Ignoring, however, had made it worse even though you were trying to steer away from conflict. Amber didn't take you ignoring her lightly. She began finding excuses to take you and Tara's time away from you. Saying anything that would make sweet and naive Tara feel guilty for leaving Amber behind. Hangouts between you and her had become hangouts between the three of you. Then, slowly, Tara slipped away from your fingers and right into Amber's arms.
You tried not to dwell on it too much, as was expected, but it had hurt how it had seemed so easy for Tara to forget and replace you. You weren't angry with Tara, but you were bitter with Amber, yet you held your tongue for Tara's sake. When high school rolled around, rumors had gone around during freshman year that Amber and Tara had begun dating.
This had set you off; your friends hadn't heard the end of it for almost that entire school year. Everything that you see them do, you feel more bitter. That never stopped your feelings for Tara, though, they had only grown since Tara stayed her usual sweet self that had always swept you off your feet. Sophomore year, you spent your entire time busying yourself with your studies and soccer practice. You shut yourself away from hearing things about Tara and Amber's 'amazing' relationship.
That's when junior year rolled by, itseemed like you had some luck this year. You and Tara shared a math class, Algebra II, without a certain possessive girlfriend around to keep you away from Tara. You're sure that Amber noticed you two shared a class because Tara wasn't as talkative with you. Maybe you had grown apart? Or maybe Amber had told her to stay away from you?
Senior year is when it all happened. It was hard to keep up with all the information that felt like it was being thrown at you. First, Tara's attack, then the following murders, Sam being back in town with her weird boyfriend, and Amber suddenly getting more controlling and possessive.
Tara, on the other hand, felt like she had been thrown into the eye of the tornado. She was both happy and bitter that her sister had returned after having no contact with her for so long. Just because she had gotten hurt, she returned? It sounded like bullshit to her, but a big part of her had missed Sam.
Sam had been around to meet Amber, having left when Tara had been in 8th grade. She never liked Amber; she had always felt something was off about her, and no matter the countless times she told Tara that, Tara had always defended Amber. Upon seeing that Amber was still a part of Tara's life and now has a more important role than a friend, it irked her a bit. Amber had been bitter with Sam from the moment that she returned; maybe it was because of everything Tara had opened up to her about Sam, or maybe it was all a part of the act.
When it had been just Sam and Tara in the room, she had asked Tara where you had gone. "Whatever happened to her, I liked her." She had said. Tara had dismissed it with a small excuse, but hearing your name had tugged at her heart a bit, though she quickly ignored it. When Tara thought back to then, it made her feel stupid how she hadn't reached out to you sooner, but she knew that she was stuck in a position she couldn't leave. She was blinded by what she had thought was love with Amber.
━━━━✦❘༻♡༺❘✦━━━━
Tara woke up on the couch in the apartment that she, Sam, and their roommate Quinn shared. Quinn was out, probably on some Tinder date that would end in her staying the night with her date. Sam had been working late shifts, still trying to afford both the apartment and now Tara's education as well. She awoke to the sound of a phone ringing, a small groan escaping her lips.
She sat up on the couch, sighing before grabbing her phone off of the coffee table. She didn't care to check the contact name, she simply picked up the phone. All she had heard was a static noise, which caused her to furrow her eyebrows. A breathing noise was heard through the other end of the phone. Suddenly, the noise of the front door's knob jingling had caused her to be on high alert.
She felt herself retreat to the state she was never able to leave behind. Her hands shook as her heart began to pound, dropping her phone on the floor. A soft thump was heard as her phone fell onto the living room carpet. She completely froze, not knowing what to do and even if she had known, she was too paralyzed by fear to do it.
Eventually, the door opened and she clasped her hand over her mouth, her other hand grabbing the remote from next to her on the couch. Felt tears beginning to prick from the corners of her eyes.
"Tara! Sam asked me to check up on you-" You had begun saying before you felt the remote hit you in the head to which your hand reflexively held where the remote hit you on the head. "Gah! What the-"
You felt your words die on your lips as you saw Tara in the state she was in. Her sigh of relief did not go unnoticed by you as you began putting two and two together that you had triggered her. Before you could say anything, you saw tears slip from her eyes and roll down her cheeks. You put down the bag of take-out that you had brought for her to eat onto the coffee table before rushing to her. Kneeling in front of her a waterfall of apologies escaped from your lips.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Tara, it's just me. I came to check up on you, Sam just wanted to make sure you were okay." You said as you leaned up, wrapping your arms around her. She quickly responded by wrapping her trembling arms around you.
Ever since attending Blackmore with Tara and her friend group, completely unplanned, you had gotten back into touch with her. You were one of the only 'outsiders' that she trusted with Tara to check up on her on nights like this. It would be considered a bit pathetic how you seemed at Tara's disposal. Everything she needed, you wanted to give her.
So, for every message, call, and hang out, you'd immediately accept. Tara knew you liked her but she could never bring herself to be honest with herself about her feelings for you. She just knew it felt good to be cared for by you and to have your attention. All your actions were right, she just couldn't bring herself to trust to love someone and trust someone again.
The thought of a relationship was completely out of her mind until it came to you. This was quickly shaken away by her clouding thoughts of fear. She can't deny the pull to you, but she also cannot deny the thoughts that practically consumed her. Still, she continued to see you. She continued to call on you and be around you. She thought that the two of you had come to the understanding that things between the two of you were casual and light.
Any time that you had begun to bring up wanting more than stolen kisses and secret cuddling, she'd quickly change the topic. You almost felt embarrassed for wanting to ask what you two were. Then again, you felt like it was better to have her this way than not at all.
"Are you okay?" You asked as you pulled away from the hug, your hands cupping her face to carefully examine her. Her tears had calmed, her breathing a little shaky and uneven, but she still had nodded.
"Yeah, I'm okay." She said with a small sniffle, "Just everything felt like... Never mind."
"I'm sorry. I just came to check up and bring you something to eat." You said as you began peppering her face with soft and short kisses, trying to make her feel better and partially so she could forgive you.
"You need to eat." You had added as you pulled away, tucking her bangs behind her ears as she nodded. Sending her a small, soft smile, you began to unpack the takeout for the both of you.

A/N: I'm going, to be honest, I did not expect to write so much. I had to cut it short because I was going to go on and on. I'm beginning to contemplate turning into a fic as well. The words sort of flowed out of me, and there definitely is a plot that I can build on. I hope you guys enjoyed this! Again, I am currently making the next part to 'Make it Right,' this was meant to be like a little filler to keep you guys entertained, and I started a whole new fic. I'm going to hope to finish the next part of 'Make it Right' and post it sometime tomorrow. Thank you all for reading, as well as for the support on my last post! Bye, lovelies!

ok but how about amber fucking r in front of tara after tara tried to flirt with r?
amber probably being really rough, showing tara that r is all hers. maybe making r choke on her strap and degrading her and spitting in her mouth or something sweet like that 💐
smut. 18+ pls.
amber fucking you into her mattress with her strap, whispering degrading words into your ear so softly only to completely change her tone when she directs her attention to tara who is sitting.
“you see how good i fuck her?” tara cant take her eyes off of either of you and she nods cautiously, swallowing thickly. “yeah, its cause shes all mine.” amber pulls you up against her chest, a hand wrapping around your throat, hips still fucking into you so harshly. “isnt that right, baby?” you nod desperately.
“im all yours,” you mumble out, words hardly audible, way too focused on how good amber fucks you. your neck was littered with marks thanks to amber, her need to show not only tara, but everyone else that you were hers and only hers being taken out on the skin.
amber pulls out of you completely, adjusting you to lay flat on your back before sinking her strap back inside of you. she fucks into you at a quick pace, eyes narrowed at you. “all mine,” she grits out.
you whine loudly, “all yours,” you repeat. its all you can think about. all ambers. your hers and hers alone. your head rolls to the side and your eyes meet taras. you see the way her fingers dig into her skin, face flush, its turning her on watching you, it sends a shiver down your spine.
amber’s fingers cup your jaw, forcing you to look up at her. “open.” she taps your lips and your quick to open your mouth. she leans down, spitting into your open mouth. “good, now swallow.” you do as your told, taking your bottom lip into your mouth as you do so.
“yeah, youre all mine.”

Tumblr media
YOU’D COME HOME from the gym an hour ago, the only classes you had were this morning and you were grateful to have the whole afternoon off for once. you'd had lunch with mindy at noon and then decided to take her home, since the ghostface attacks had hit new york, following the 4 survivors of woodsboro, you didn't want the young meeks martin to go home alone, even in the middle of the day, who knows what might happen, especially when you knew who her uncle was.
now you were in your kitchen after a nice shower, in the background as sound of « how to get away with murder », one of your favorite tv shows, mindy found it quite ironic since you were in a law major.
you were cooking dinner quietly after a bit of studying, standing in front of the hob, dressed in a short, tight-fitting black top and gray shorts, your phone at your side as you wrote to the young meeks martin, who was confiding in you about her feelings for anika.
and that's when your phone began to vibrate, thinking it was mindy, a slight smile appeared on your lips before you grabbed your phone, but this smile slowly disappeared in your face due to what appeared on your screen: unkown caller.
a bad feeling began to take hold of you as, paranoid as you were, you looked around you at the knives just inches from you, spotting the largest of them.
you then answered the phone, adrenalin coursing through your body.
- hello ?
the sound of the oil against the frying pan camouflaged the sound of your series in the living room, as you added spices, waiting for an answer from your interlocutor, the wait was heavy.
- hello, y/n, replied the deep, gravelly, modulated voice.
ghostface.
a shiver ran down your spine, and your body froze, paralyzed as you realized the obvious: you were part of the group of friends of the survivors of the 2022 attacks.
you turned off the gas, stopped cooking. And clicked your tongue against the roof of your mouth.
- well, go ahead, i’m wainting for the “what's your favorite scary movie ?” part.
you tried not to show any signs of fear, but inside you were terrified, imagining yourself already dead on your kitchen floor, but you knew you didn't have time to think about it and passed your index finger between the various knives on the rack in front of you, leaning slightly over the worktop.
the only response you got was a little laugh of amusement, mixed with a hint of sadism, from the killer, and it made your blood run cold.
- you're a bold one, aren't you? now, i think that i'm really going to enjoy this.
- fuck you.
-but you're also a very pretty one... he said with a seductive tone, too bad that i have to correct that filthy mouth of yours, he finished with a voice full of brutality, as if your insult had made him angry.
his change of mood startled you, and you immediately straightened up, then nervously tapped the surface of your kitchen with your freshly manicured nails.
- what do you want ? you asked, trying not to show how scared your voice sounded.
he hums slowly, as if he's thinking, and you can feel the goosebumps on your skin.
- that's a good question... what do i want... ? i want to play a game.
your heart was starting to race, so without thinking any further, you grabbed the largest knife and suddenly turned around with dynamism, all your senses now activated.
- do you want to play a game, y/n ? the modulated voice asked you.
- go to hell, i’m not going to play any of your sick game, you replied brutally.
- you look cute with that knife, tell me, what are you going to do with it, sweetheart ? stab me ? he teased.
you could practically hear the smirk in his voice and it drived you insane as well as the pet name, your grip on your knife was starting to tighten.
- where are you, asshole ? you spat hatefully.
you started to look from left to right, if anyone else could see you through your window, they'd think you were crazy to get so agitated, you leaned over to look towards the right exit which led to the hallway of your apartment, before returning to the kitchen which overlooked your living room.
you put your phone on the worktop behind your hob not far from your fridge, and activated the speakerphone to leave the call and type in the police number before he even answered.
- oh i wouldn't try to call the police if i were you, y/n, it'd be a real shame for mindy and anika to pay the consequences of your stupid actions.
your fingers stopped typing on your screen, not only because of the threat, but also because a detail had caught your attention, how did he know i was going to call the police ?
- h-how.... you began before cutting yourself off, can you see me?
he was sniggering again, and you were really beginning to hate that horribly creepy sound. you swallowed that awful lump in your throat that prevented you from speaking properly and waited for an answer.
- of course i can see you. i must admit that you look good in those, a little bit short though, does your boyfriend know you carry around in your apartment like that, y/n ?
panic-stricken, you hung up, and what a grave mistake you'd made, dropping your phone onto the wooden surface, you clutched the edge of it as if your body were threatening to collapse and you were looking for something to lean on. but then you pulled yourself together and grabbed your phone, never letting go of the knife you'd armed yourself with.
you moved towards the large window in your living room and pulled back the curtain slightly to see if anyone was outside watching you, since your kitchen was connected to the living room and, above all, open, with no door separating them.
but you couldn't see anything suspicious, only the horrible traffic jams of the city that never sleeps and people minding their own business down your street. you weren't the least bit reassured, certainly not, you had no idea where he could see you and you were terrified of it.
then you let out a groan of surprise when your phone started vibrating in your hand again, except this time it wasn't a call but a notification from an unknown number, it was a video.
your hands began to shake as you huffed and puffed to regain your composure, naively hoping to regain an ounce of control over the situation. once you'd opened your phone and clicked on the video, you saw mindy and anika on it, kissing on a sofa, the video had been taken from outside through your window and you pursed your lower lip, anxious, but starting to get angry that ghostface wasn't just threatening you, but also your friends, after everything mindy already endured because of that stupid mask.
and then, another call, again. you stared at your screen for a few seconds, looked around your living room and swallowed, grabbed your tv remote to turn it off, a silence falling over every room in the apartment when you finally accepted the call as you peered into every corner of the room, your stomach burning with fear.
- hang up again and i'll rip their heads off and send them in a box at your door ! shouted the killer menacingly and violently.
the violence of his threat burned your eyes, but you were able to swallow back your tears. you were sure he could feel your panic through the phone.
- not them, don't hurt them, s-stop it, i’ll do anything, i-i promise, you cried, afraid that something might happen to your friends.
- good girl, you see how easy things are going when you start obeying ? his voice softened, but you could still hear the amusement in it that told you he loved what was happening, that he loved scaring you.
despite the fear, the nickname he'd used triggered a reaction you'd never have suspected: a wave of heat spread through your body, even between your legs, and you suddenly felt ashamed.
- now, let's play that game. have you ever heard of hot and cold ?
you simply nodded, tucking a lock of hair behind your ears, knife still sharp in hand.
- words, pretty girl.
another heat wave.
- y-yeah, yes, i have.
- perfect. you want to know where i am, right ? then come and find me. go on.
you frowned, apprehensive about the objective behind this game, especially apprehensive about the moment when you were going to meet him.
- and then, if i find you, what will happen ?
- find me and you'll see, answered mischievously ghostface.
a new silence, neither of you speaking, the silence was heavy for you. you took two steps forward, and turned to look behind you again, the fact of not knowing where he was disturbed you and increased your degree of fear.
- are you scared, sweet thing ? he continued to mock, knowing he had the upper hand.
- shut the fuck up motherfucker, you're gonna pay for all of this, you grumbled in between.
- oh, really? i’m waiting then, he sneered, and you were willing to bet he was smiling.
his words only provoked you and you walked out of the living room, realizing that he couldn't be there, you were surprised to realize that you actually started looking for him, now angry at the way he was openly mocking you. you opened the bathroom door, peering in after turning on the light.
- cold.
you immediately left the room, closed the door and stepped into the corridor, which this time led to your bedroom. but before you got close to it, your steps slowed down, as you became more reluctant to head towards this part of the apartment, what if he was inside ?
- why are you slowing down ? maybe I'm inside.
- fuck it, you muttered.
you continued to hold your knife, getting ready to use it, when you arrived at the door to your room and opened it, you went in, and looked all around, near your desk, in the nooks and crannies, then your gaze fell back on your wardrobe, which was closed.
- are you in there ? you asked, your breath catching.
you heard his breathing through the phone become more erratic, and that's all you could hear as you held it to your ear.
- open it.
without further hesitation, you grabbed both wrists of your wardrobe and suddenly opened them, brandishing your knife in your face the next second.
but surprisingly, he wasn't there, so you straightened up and let your arm fall back down your body, then brought the phone up to your ear to hear your interlocutor, who seemed to love playing with your mind and emotions. he started laughing again, and the more he did it, the more it annoyed you than it frightened you now.
- no, i'm not there sweetheart, i was just messing with you.
- asshole, wanting to play a game without even knowing how to play it, you laughed bittersweetly.
you could sense that he wasn't happy with your answer, maybe even angry, but in any case, he didn't show it and decided to restart the game.
- you're getting colder, keep looking.
since you'd gone in the opposite direction and weren't getting any closer, you decided to return to the area you'd been in when you received the bloody call, retracing your steps, finding yourself in the hallway where your bathroom was once again.
- you're still cold.
you sighed in annoyance, but kept on walking, and when you passed the bathroom door you'd already looked in.
- warm, he warned you, and his husky voice sent shivers down your spine.
the further you went, the more your heart pounded to the point where that was all you could hear now. now you were back in your living room, you couldn't make any sense of the situation, you must have misunderstood his directions, he couldn't be there.
- you're getting warmer, good, very good sweetheart, you're almost there.
and yet, the praise almost made you blush again, you felt butterflies in your stomach and snapped inwardly as you remembered who you were on the phone with.
slightly frustrated by the flirtatious tone, you began to hold your knife out in front of you, preparing yourself better in case you found him.
as well as being frustrated, you were in total bewilderment, you had no idea where he could be, he kept messing with your head and he was very good at it.
he definitely wasn't in the kitchen, nor in the living room, not even towards the entrance, since you'd glanced around.
- keep looking, y/n, it'd be a shame if i find you first, wouldn't it ? tormented ghostface.
you held back from insulting him once more, avoided the living room areas you'd already looked at, and moved towards the only corridor on the opposite side of the apartment where you hadn't glanced.
and to do this, you had to pass through the corridor to your left leading to the front door, when you passed this door, and moved into the unlit corridor where in one of the doors lay your washing machine and other belongings, he spoke again.
- you don't want to turn colder again, don't you ? now, turn around.
paranoid, you thought he was right behind you, so you quickly turned around and took a big step back, the knife right in front of you, your arm raised, and you let out an expletive when you couldn't see anyone again. He was definitely playing with your mind and you'd had enough. You could feel the frustration heating your blood.
you made the choice not to pay any more attention to your footsteps, beginning to believe that he had lied to you and wasn't even near you, that this was just to scare you.
- warm.
but then you stopped, and that's how you noticed you were near the entrance hall. no, it couldn't be.
you headed in that direction, advancing slowly, cold sweat beginning to take refuge on your forehead.
- warmer.
shit. shit. shit.
you noticed the cupboard embedded in the wall a metre from the landing, and realized he was probably here. I'd have heard him, the kitchen's right next door. you had no idea what was going on.
- very very warm, he whispered.
your trembling hand came to rest on the wrist of the hall cupboard, hesitantly, you didn't open it immediately, feeling your breathing quicken.
in a split second, you brought your other hand to the cabinet and jerked it open. but nothing, absolutely nothing.
- fucking bastard, you growled.
you sighed, and slammed the wardrobe doors shut, the sound echoing throughout the apartment after this act of anger and you could hear him laughing in your ear.
pissed off, you returned to the kitchen to the very same spot where you had decided to call the police, still holding your weapon in your hand which was now on the kitchen counter facing the living room.
- now you're boiling.
you held your phone so tightly in your hand that you could have crushed it. you didn't know whether your hands were shaking with fear or anger, or both.
- i’m done with that shit, you growled again, if you want me, come and get me.
- want you in which way, darling ? don't get me wrong, both involve ropes, but it's an important distinction to make before we proceed.
- w-what ?
and just then, you saw a shadow with a very tall figure forming right in front of you.
you immediately dropped your phone from your hands, about to turn and brandish your knife to stab him, but a large gloved hand pressed against your mouth and an imposing body slammed you against the surface.
your scream was then muffled by the hand over your mouth, and your knife was snatched from your other hand, panic instantly seizing you after your weapon was snatched from you, you tried to fight back by reaching behind him with your hands, but his free hand had no trouble grabbing both your wrists and pinning them behind your back.
- i told you it'd be a shame if i find you first, he said mockingly.
the tears in your eyes blurred your vision, you kept squirming in all directions and your screams kept choking against your attacker's glove. then you felt them, your hands bound by ropes.
ropes that burned your wrists, he had to take his hand away from his mouth to bind your hands, and you couldn't control the rhythm of your breathing.
- no no no no no, you protested, naively trying to free yourself from the ropes.
just then, you felt his hips push you against the counter again and his hand slid down your back to force you against the surface, bended you over, he towered over you.
- p-please, please let me go, you tried not to let the tears roll down your cheeks, but your voice betrayed your fear.
- where's that attitude you were giving me earlier, hm ?
- i-i’m sorry, you let your forehead hit the cold surface of the counter, your eyes closed.
- you look so good like that, he murmured under his breath, bended over, begging for me, better than i have imagined.
a new complaint came from the back of your throat, and you started to struggle again, unconsciously moving your hips to push him away. then you felt something against you, something hard, then you heard him growl.
your mouth fell open in astonishment, you must surely have heard wrong, you thought. then you continued to rub your hips against him, your two bodies pressed together, and suddenly his left hand grabbed your hip to immobilize you.
an amused smile spread across your lips, contradicting the tears in your eyes.
- does this turn you on ? do i'm turning you on mr. ghostface ? you said in a playful tone.
- shut up, i'm gonna fuck that attitude out of you, spat the killer.
a groan threatened to leave your mouth but you managed to control it, feeling all wet after rubbing yourself against him and his modulated voice making you feel things you shouldn't feel.
a moan threatened to leave your mouth but you managed to control it, you felt all wet after rubbing yourself against him and his modulated voice made you feel things you shouldn't feel.
quickly, he removed your shorts followed by your underwear, leaving you almost naked apart from your black top, your wet intimacy exposed to the cool apartment air sending a shiver down your spine and forcing you to squeeze your thighs together.
- uh uh, none of that, open those legs for me, he said, slapping one of your thighs.
aware of the extent of your desire between your legs, you spread them slowly and slightly, enough for him to slip his hand in.
his fingers began to tease your crotch, you were about to open your mouth to express your desire, but closed it when his fingers moved to brush over her clit. you breathed deeply and closed your eyes as you felt his fingers gently beginning to knead at your clit and press against your entrance.
you took a shaky breath, clenching down around the finger gently as it was pushed in up to the second knuckle.
you moaned happily, your hips pressing forward. your hips swayed further as he began to move his fingers slowly. his fingers moved in and out of her slowly. then he gently curled them as he moved them, smiling at the cry he drew from you. his thumb gently massaged your clit, and you arched your back silently asking for more.
- you like that, huh ?
you nodded positively, moaning softly, your lip still between your teeth.
- come on, what did i told you earlier, sweetheart ?
words.
- f-fuck, y-yes.
- yes what ? while curling his fingers inside of you.
- yes, yes i-i like that.
he was starting to pick up his pace, you could hear his breathing jerking in turn, getting harder and harder by the pretty sounds you were making and the way you were moving your hips against him. although he'd been using a fairly gentle rhythm, now he was thrusting his fingers into you harder and harder, going even deeper.
causing moans that you could no longer control, especially when he added another finger, unconsciously, you closed your legs once more against the sensation that invaded you, but his other hand forced you to keep them spread for him.
even if you wanted to deny him access to your legs by closing them, you couldn't, his grip was too strong for you to move, it would probably leave a mark later.
when his fingers reached that spot inside you, you tilted your head back, eyes closed. he took advantage of your position to lean towards you, so that his fingers were deep inside you, and your belly was completely pressed into the countertop surface, as were your hips.
he grabbed your jaw to force you to open your eyes and tilt your head back even further, causing you to arch your back even more to the point of slight pain, and with your hands tied behind your back, it wasn't easy, so when you did, you fell into the big, intimidating black eyes of his mask.
but the idea of him fucking you in his ghostface costume, mask and gloves made you wetter, it was so wrong.
you gave him those doe eyes, and he swore he could have cum right now just from the look you were giving him. you half-opened your mouth as if to let out another moan, but nothing came out.
his thumb moved to your lower lip, his hand still gripping your jaw. his other hand continued to penetrate you roughly, but you still wanted more. he could read the desire on your face, in your eyes.
- what's the matter, pretty girl ? do you want my cock instead ?
you nod eagerly.
- please, i w-want it so bad.
the position you were in meant you couldn't breathe properly, your back arched, your head back as you stared into the big black eyes of the ghost mask.
his thumb pressed your clitoris just right, in a delicious way that brought back that exquisite sensation in your lower belly. but suddenly he withdrew his hand, feeling you suddenly empty, you let out a whine.
but he quickly silenced you by pushing the two fingers inside you into your mouth, his other hand controlling your movements through your jaw and forcing you to take his fingers covered in your juices.
- that's it, taste yourself, take those fingers right down your throat, whispered ghostface.
you felt your taste on his two fingers deposited on your tongue, you closed your mouth to suck greedily on his fingers that he pushed deep into your throat, creating new tears in the corner of your eyes and causing you a gag that seemed to satisfy him.
his fingers were so deep in your throat that your saliva was starting to drip down the corner of your mouth.
His hand that held your jaw withdrew from it, you felt the trace of the fabric of his gloves burn your jaw in the absence of his hand, then just after, you heard the sound of a belt unbuckling just behind you.
claiming only his fingers or his cock inside of you again, you moved your hips back, and felt the brutal material of his jeans, and then, from his underwear, you could especially feel his erection that was right against your ass.
you tried to speak, but with his fingers in your throat and the taste of your wetness on your tongue, those sounds were muffled, but you knew he'd heard you because he pushed his fingers even deeper into your mouth, making you feel a little dizzy.
as he let out a muffled moan against the movement of your hips against him, he in turn thrust against you, feeling your clitoris swell with excitement.
then, a few seconds later, unexpectedly, without any warning from him, you felt his tip right in front of your entrance and quickly, he penetrated you brutally, knocking the wind out of your lungs, causing you to scream due to the impact.
- did i go in too fast ? he laughed, tilting his head to one side, his voice still modified by the modulator.
he started to thrust in and out of you at a pace that made you see stars. his fingers left your throat, and you took a deep breath of air, you were suffocating, and yet his index finger remained between your mouth and your teeth, understanding what he wanted you to do, you bit the material of his glove, allowing him to slide his hand out, removing his glove for him, letting go of the glove in your mouth, you could then observe his hand.
large and covered with veins. You could almost recognize his hand. Your pussy was throbbing and the harsh thrusts didn't help.
suddenly, his hand grabbed the back of your neck and tilted you forward, pushing your chest against the surface where you rested your cheek. it felt so good, you could hear him growling behind you and your whole body wanted to submit to him. his thrusts pushed your belly against the counter, his hips slammed into your buttocks.
for support, he grabbed the ropes he'd tightened around your hands, still holding your neck to make sure you didn't move, you were his to fuck.
you tried to straighten up, but his grip prevented you, so you tried to look over your shoulder, and just seeing him fucking you could make you cum on the spot, his tall figure, the mask, him dominating you.
the erotic sound of his cock thrusting into you filled the room and mingled with your moans and grunts.
- harder, please fuck me harder, you begged, letting your forehead fall back against the counter, eyes closed.
- you want me to fuck you harder ? he said playfully, fine then, i’ll fuck you harder.
he did as you asked, but first by slowing down his thrusts, you then let out some moans as you arched your back, but then he thrust more brutally, deeper into you, all the while being fast. you opened your mouth in pleasure, before going back to biting your lip.
his bare hand grabs your waist and uses it as leverage to thrust into you, leaving you little or no time to adjust as he drives deep into you.
he pulls you back, using his grip on your wrists as your pussy tightens around his cock under his thrusts.
after a few more strokes that made you feel disoriented to the point where it was hard to keep your eyes open. a small noise near you caught your attention, you reopened your eyes breathing hard, and noticed the ghostface mask right next to you, he'd just pulled it off. your eyes widened in astonishment.
- taking it so well, hm whore ? he said in a taunting tone, the modulator was off, god, you feel amazing, he moaned.
and you recognized that voice.
- e-ethan ?
you couldn't see him, but he was smiling and pounding into you, his curly hair falling back on his forehead with a little sweat on his temples.
without you expecting it, his hand on the back of your neck slid down your throat to pull you back to his torso, your hands tied behind your back making the position slightly uncomfortable, but when you let your head fall below his shoulder to look up at him, you forgot the discomfort.
you couldn't believe it, ethan, the shy, dorky guy you were so close to.
- hi baby, surprised ? he smirked devilishly.
- i- you tried to speak, but another of his blows triggered a soft moan.
he laughed again, his eyes never leaving your face, watching as your eyebrows furrowed and your mouth opened in pleasure. he tightened his hand around your neck enough to reduce the air passing through to your lungs, and again he felt you tighten around him.
- look at you, what a little slut. you look so pretty with my hand around your throat.
wanting to look at him, you opened your eyes again, your eyes met and you noticed how dark his gaze was as I'd never seen it before. his hand on your hip began to rub your clit deliciously while he was thrusting in you.
he leaned over and placed his lips against yours to kiss you passionately, not giving you a chance to breathe, you kissed him back without hesitation, which made him smile.
when the kiss ended and you parted, you looked up at him again, his hand still around your neck. you let out at surprised gasp when he forced you to bend over once more, removing his hand from your throat to move it into your hair, which he grabbed to pull you back.
you found yourself in the same position as before, your back curved and your head tilted back. you could see him, but instead of the ghostface mask, you saw ethan's angelic face, who wasn't actually so angelic.
his grip on your hair made you groan, and you'd never have suspected this dominance from mindy's number one suspect.
- open your mouth.
damn.
you opened your mouth as he asked, tongue out, with a doe eyed gaze that made him growl. he leaned closer and spat into your mouth.
- swallow it.
and you did. you swallowed without replying under his eager gaze. you stuck out your tongue to prove it, god, you were sure you looked so dirty like that. his gloveless hand found its way to your cheek, and he patted it before caressing it with a delicacy that contradicted the brutality of his strokes that made you stammer.
- that’s it. you’re being very good baby.
the praise pushed you to give him a fucked up smile. the more time passed, the more you felt that knock in your lower belly. you were close, and ethan could feel it too by the way you tightened around him.
- s-shit, e-ethan, i’m close.
- i know, baby, cum for me.
with his hand pulling your hair tighter so he could get a better view of your face to see you cum, before long, you were cumming and felt your legs trembling under the intensity, and when you came, you let out the prettiest sound without worrying whether your neighbors heard you or not.
he let go of your hair, and both his hands bestially gripped your hips, he was close too, you felt overstimulated but you knew he was going to cum soon so you
let him use you. he muttered "fuck" under his breath, and cummed as he sank deep inside you, stopping his thrusts to stay deep inside you. he tilted his head back, his adam's apple perfectly visible and you didn't have to look at him to know he must be incredibly beautiful like that.

Sam carpenter x reader with the song birds of a feather by Billie eilish maybe friends to lovers
Birds of a Feather
Sam Carpenter x fem!reader
Summary: you and Sam are best friends. until you aren’t
Words: 8k
A/n: ok we kinda went off script with this one but i’d describe this as friends to lovers with a few bumps. is friends to not friends to lovers a trope?
A/n 2: i have something to confess. i’ve never seen scream 5. that might be very evident in this
Warnings: intoxication, usage of drugs, Richie Kirsch, Sam deals with some hard shit, crying, ghostface aftermath, not a warning but Tara is a cutie, mention of a dead parent, maybe ooc sam cause i’ve never written for her and probably should’ve made a less lengthy fic so i could get a feel for her character but wtv 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Hey- What the heck! What was that for, Sam!?” The young boy yells when Sam pushes him off the swing
“You jerk broke my friend’s crayons. She really liked them!” Sam points a finger at the boy, who’s now dusting himself off
“Yeah? What’re you going to do about it?” He smiles a wicked grin. At least, what would be considered wicked in kindergarten
“I’ll never let you on the swings again!”
“I don’t see your name written on it!”
“That’s cause you’re stupid and can’t read!”
Tears well up in the young boys eyes. He blinks them away, running to tell on the teacher him and Sam share. Sam didn’t care, he deserved the insults anyways
“Sammy? What did you do to Carlos?” You run up to Sam, who’s glaring at the back of Carlos’ head from her seat on the swing
“I pushed him. He broke the crayons your dad gave you!” The Carpenter pulls you into a hug, not wanting to let go
“I know he did Sammy, but it’s not nice to push people” You reciprocate the hug, pulling back a bit to see Sam’s face and how her forehead was wrinkled with her eyebrows furrowed. You thought she was cute like one of your stuffed animals
“It’s not nice to break something that doesn’t belong to you! I did it because he was mean to you”
“You’re going to get in trouble! Mrs. Poppy doesn’t know you were trying to protect me”
“Then I’ll tell her, and Carlos will get in trouble too”
“Samantha Carpenter.” Your teacher’s voice was stern. Nothing like the sweet teacher you were used to. You backed away from Sam’s hug but you don’t go far. You hold her tiny hand with your own and make sure to stay close, rubbing her hand in hopes of comfort
“Is it true you pushed Carlos off the swings and said some mean things?”
“Yeah, but he was being mean to (Y/n) first! He broke her new crayons her dad got her! Mrs. Poppy, (Y/n) was really sad” Your dad couldn’t get you many new things due to being a single father. Especially new school supplies. Usually you’d reuse the crayons you didn’t lose or break from previous years or borrow some of Sam’s
On most days you took the bus home with Sam while your dad was off working his ass off to get you dinner every night. Your dad and Sam’s dad were good friends so Mr and Mrs. Carpenter didn’t mind taking care of you until your dad was able to pick you up from their house. Luckily you two lived in the same neighborhood. Some days you thought all of the stars aligned for you and Sam to be friends
“Is this true?” Your teacher shoots a look at the boy next to her. While your teacher was the nicest woman you ever met, she had a deadly glare. You were happy you weren’t on the receiving end of that stare
“N-No…”
“Carlos if I find out you’re lying, you’re going to be sharing the same punishment as Sam.” Mrs. Poppy seems to calm down a bit, entering her nice teacher mode once again
“F-Fine! I did break her crayons” Carlos pouts, crossing his arms
“Thank you for telling the truth, but what you did was wrong. You also did something wrong, Sam. Instead of pushing Carlos off the swing, you could’ve told me and I would have taken care of it” Your teacher bends down to look at the two kids in the eyes
“Sorry, Mrs. Poppy” Sam and Carlos say in unison
“Thank you, you two. I know you two are good kids and know what’s right”
Your teacher leaves with Carlos next to her and you can hear her faintly ask why the boy broke your crayons in the first place
“I like having you as a friend, Sammy” You hug the girl, who’s long since stopped swinging
“I like having you as a friend too, (Y/n)!” Sam beams. Her smile was one of your favorite things ever
“Can we play house?”
“Yeah! I’ll bring my bear next time so she can be our baby!”
//-//
“I can’t believe you can name your sister!” You were over at Sam’s house a few months after her baby sister was born. You didn’t know what to call Sam’s little sister considering… she didn’t really have a name. It was up to Sam to pick a name but of course she was a Carpenter, wanting the best name for her sister. As a result, her baby sister had no name
Until today, that is. Sam was finally making a decision today
“I don’t know what her name is going to be yet” Sam reaches out a finger to her baby sister who happily grabs onto it with curiosity
“She likes you a lot, huh?”
“She knows I’m her sister”
“Maybe I could help you come up with a name! What’s your favorite letter?”
“I like the first letter of your name but I don’t want it to be that! I need to think of something different”
“I know you’ll think of a wonderful name, darling.” Sam’s mom strokes her on the head as she rocks the small baby in her arms
“Do you have another favorite letter?” You ask
“Uh… I like T?”
“What about Triceratops!” You giggle
“Her name can’t be Triceratops, silly!” Sam smiles
“Tennis?”
“(Y/n), those aren’t names” The now older Carpenter giggles along with you
“What about Taylor? Oh! There’s a girl in our class named Thalia?”
“I want it to be different, though! I like those names but Tara needs to be special.” Sam’s eyes go wide in surprise. Maybe her brain just knew her baby sister was supposed to be named Tara
“Tara?” You repeat. “That’s a pretty name! Hi little Tara!” You wave at the baby in her mom’s arms
“Is this official? Is Tara your choice, Sam?”
“Yeah! Tara is a nice name. She looks like her name would be Tara”
“She does, doesn’t she? Such a pretty name you chose, Sam. Honey, come here! We have our daughter’s name!” Mrs. Carpenter yells for her husband
You don’t think you’ve ever seen Sam smile so wide before
//-//
“Hey, Sam?”
“What’s up?”
“Aren’t you scared of middle school?“
“No, why would I be? Middle school should be scared of me” That was your Sam alright. The most fearless person you knew. As far as you knew, she was scared of absolutely nothing. Not even the dark. Which is why you were reluctant to stay outside on your trampoline after sunset. Which is also why you were curled next to Sam as she pointed out all the different stars
“What if we stop being friends?”
“Don’t be stupid, (Y/n)” The Carpenter pinches your cheek and you yelp while giggling, shoving her hand away
“If we stop being friends, which we won’t, I promise I’ll let you have all of my stuffed animals”
“Woah, really?”
“Yes, really
“Every single one of them?”
“Yes, every single one of them” Sam rolls her eyes
“Even Ghostie?” Ghostie was the panda stuffed animal you got Sam for her eighth birthday. Technically your dad bought it for her but you picked it out
“What! You’re not supposed to take a gift back, I like Ghostie”
“Well, you can give me all of your stuffed animals and I’ll just give Ghostie back to you”
“That makes no sense, why wouldn’t you just let me keep it?”
“Cause then you wouldn’t have given me all of your stuffed animals and kept your promise”
“You’re weird, (Y/n)”
“Hey, so are you! That’s why we’re friends”
“Yeah, I guess so” Sam giggles
The sliding door to your house opens and both you and Sam turn to look who’s there. It’s your dad
“Hey, girls! Sam, your parents are leaving now. Best you go with them, eh?”
“Okay! Thank you, Mr. (Y/l/n)” The Carpenter waves to your dad
“Wait, let me go with you inside! It’s scary out here”
//-//
“Sam! What if we get caught out here?” Your words held concern but you couldn’t stop laughing as Sam dragged you under the bleachers
“Shhh! They’re gonna catch us!” The Carpenter put a hand over your mouth and put one over hers so she’d also stop laughing when both of you sat down on the underside of the bleachers where the grass was
Both you and Sam were currently in seventh grade but there was an eighth grade couple that was constantly terrorizing the younger kids. Sam being Sam, she wanted to end their reign.
How did she want to end their reign? By breaking the two up. Sam slipped a note in both of their lockers about meeting to break up during one of their classes, causing both of them to skip. Your job was to lead a teacher to their meetup and if everything went right, then they would be successfully broken up and in detention.
Both of you hear footsteps and see the couple at the meetup spot. The teacher wasn’t far away, all you had to do was rile him up a little and run away. Did you feel a little bad? Maybe. But in your defense the couple was always making out in the hallways and made everyone passing by uncomfortable. For gods sake, it was middle school! Not high school
You and Sam were far enough away you couldn’t hear them but their body language was enough for the both of you to understand. Your plan was going perfectly. You and Sam were more the vigilante type, not the heroes or the villains
The couple exchanged pointed looks and flailing arms, hopefully arguing about the note. You and Sam wrote… not the nicest things in there
The teacher eventually arrives out of breath but the couple is too busy yelling each other to notice how he’s standing over them. He looks to clear his throat and to their horror, they stop fighting. Success!
“Yes! We did it!” Sam says a little too loudly from the position you two were in. Their heads turn in your direction and you know you’re caught when the teacher stars walking towards you two
“Hey! What’re you two doing there under the bleachers?” His ragged voice yells
Shit.
//-//
“Sam? What’s wrong?” You run to the Carpenter, who’s outside under a tree eating her lunch. Usually she’d wait for you but today seemed different
“Get away from me, (Y/n).”
“Sam, don’t be like that. You know me, you can tell me what’s wrong.” You and Sam didn’t share too many classes in eighth grade. Even then, your friendship still didn’t seem to falter. You’d still hang out after school and help each other study. Sam lashing out at you was never really a problem you two had
“No! You don’t know anything.” Sam shoves you away when you try to put your hand on her shoulder. “You’re useless.”
“Sam, you don’t mean that. Please just tell me what’s wrong?”
“You wouldn’t understand. You don’t understand anything.”
“Yes I do! We always talk to each other, Sammy. Even if I’m not going to understand, I can still listen”
“Don’t say that stupid name.”
“I thought you liked Sammy?”
“See, that’s the thing with you! You’re always so stuck in the past. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.”
“You’re not being very nice right now”
“Yeah? Well you can deal with it.” The last thing you expect Sam to do is push you onto the ground into a patch of dirt.
“We’re done. I’m not your friend anymore.”
“Sam- we can talk about this” Tears pool in your eyes. You try to get up but all that happens is a crawl
“We can’t. You’re weak and pathetic and can’t do anything without me.”
Sam doesn’t look back when you say her name through tears. Sam doesn’t look back when she hears a few laughs and whispers directed at you. Sam doesn’t look back.
//-//
“Heyyyyy (Y/n)!” Sam’s voice slurs over the phone. It was almost one in the morning, what the hell was this girl doing? Not to mention this is the first time she’s even talked to you since middle school. And yet, you still answered without hesitation. Damn you really needed to grow a backbone
“Sam? What’s going on?”
“Nothingggggg whut’re y’doin?”
“I was trying to go to sleep then you called me. Where are you?”
“Why’d y’wanna know? You’re not my momma!”
“Are you drunk? Sam, you’re underage!”
“No fun… I’m wif my friends! We at a partayyy!”
“Whose house are you at?” Grabbing your keys, you race to the door. Your dad was asleep and you only had your learners permit but you couldn’t just hang up on your Sam like that.
“Uh… Tristan? He’s in our uh… what class is he in?”
“Math. Tristan from math, got it” You knew where he lived. You tutored the guy as requested by his parents but he paid you more money to stop coming to his house than his parents did for your tutoring business. How could you say no to free money?
Thankfully he wasn’t far. Thank god for that, you weren’t one to drive at night
You go faster than you hope but luckily you don’t get pulled over. You really didn’t want to go to overnight jail and face your dad the next morning but surely he would understand the circumstances you were in. He knew you, he knew Sam, he knew the devotion.
At least that’s what you told yourself on the way to Tristan’s house
You could hear the house blasting bad music from about four blocks away. It was a wonder how the police hadn’t shown up yet. Unless he paid off them too. You wouldn’t put it past the guy
Were you invited? No. But in all the movies you’ve watched - said movies being Mean Girls - random people just showed up and nobody cared enough to kick them out. So you walked up to the door like you were invited and instantly started looking for Sam
The music was so loud you could feel it in your lungs and couldn’t hear your thoughts. You couldn’t imagine this was the scene Sam was willing to put herself in but then again you hadn’t talked to her in years. Maybe under all those layers she was a party animal at heart
You internally laugh at the thought. Like hell Sam’s actually a party animal
After a bit you find Sam snorting some drug that probably shared the name with a sexually transmitted disease. Grabbing the sleeve of her shirt, you drag her out of the house while her friends groan and call you a party pooper.
“Hey! Wh- what’s wrong wif you!?”
“We’re going home, Sam. I’m taking you home”
“No! T-Tara can’t see me. Wanna go somewhere else…” Sam struggles against your grip. She’s always been stronger than you but in her intoxicated state you could probably carry her like a sack of potatoes if you tried hard enough
“Fine, I’ll take you to my house. You can spend the night”
“Noooo, wanna party…”
“We’re going home, Sam.”
In all of your years of friendship with Sam, she’s never seen you so stern before. The Carpenter keeps her mouth shut for the rest of the car ride.
After lots of trial and error, you eventually get Sam out of your car and into your bedroom with much difficulty. Thankfully your dad was the heaviest sleeper you knew. You search for a shirt and shorts that fit Sam, ignoring her protests of not wanting to sleep
Against your better judgment, you now have your intoxicated ex-best friend in your bed as her sobriety was nowhere to be found
“Why did you call me, Sam? Even in your state I know you couldn’t do that on accident”
“Ugh, friends made me. Wan’ me t’call my first crush”
“What?” You’re taken aback. Did you hear her correctly?
“Tired… m’sleepy”
You sigh, bringing your hand to Sam’s face to stroke her cheek. Your heart breaks when the older Carpenter leans into your hand like a touch starved cat. You wished things would go back to normal but Sam was stubborn. She wouldn’t let you in no matter how many times you tried.
“Go to sleep, Sam. I hope I’ll see you in the morning” You’re only met with small snores
You wanted to hate Sam. You wanted to hate Sam with all your heart for pushing you away and not even looking at her sister anymore
You wanted to hate Samantha Carpenter so badly but you couldn’t
//-//
It’s nine thirty in the morning when you hear a knock at your door. It was a Saturday. Who the hell was up this early? Rubbing the sleep from your eyes and attempting to smooth out your hair with your hands, you begrudgingly walk downstairs to the door. Your dad was at work already and usually you weren’t up at this hour
Looking through the peephole, you don’t expect to see Tara Carpenter in tears at your door.
“Hey what happened, sweetheart?” You bend down to meet Tara’s eyes. They were red and puffy, evidently showing she was crying a lot. And a lot before she got to you
“S-Sam, she-“ Your heart broke when Tara couldn’t let out even a few words without hiccuping and sniffling
“You can tell me later, darling. How about we drink some juice and you can tell me what’s happening, yeah?”
“No! S-Sam’s…” There seemed to be a never ending amount of tears flowing. “She’s gone, (Y/n). She’s gone and she’s gone for good.” Tara runs into your arms, staining your shirt with her tears.
“What do you mean, baby?”
“M-Mom said Sam left a-and isn’t coming back…” Your heart breaks when Tara’s breathing gets quicker and isn’t able to catch her breath
You pick up the younger Carpenter, taking her to your couch. Tara’s on your lap and you’re holding her just like her mom probably did when she was born. It was something your dad always did, even when you got older. Sometimes people just needed to be babied no matter how old they were.
So you start rocking Tara. She’s holding onto you like you’re the only thing keeping her alive and you move her ear to your heart. Placing her head under your chin, you hum a tune that was familiar to you. A lullaby your mom always sung to you before she died
You kiss Tara’s forehead with tears in your eyes. You saw how Sam changed and you couldn’t help her. You knew this day was going to come and you couldn’t stop it. But how could you?
When Sam looked at you with such hatred and anger, you’d wonder if she was still the same Sam that pushed Carlos because he broke your new crayons. When you saw her high out of her mind with people that didn’t care about her, you’d wonder if she was the same Sam that watched the stars with you on your trampoline. When you looked at Sam all you could see was what you two were. Was your Sam even still in there there?
You felt disgusted with yourself. You could’ve done something and yet you did nothing.
You’d never see best friend again and Tara would only remember her sister as hateful and unloving. Memories of Sam would go sour until you only had Tara and Tara only had you as a reminder of who Sam used to be.
When the younger Carpenter sees you also crying, she somehow manages to hug you tighter than she already has. What a lovely girl Tara was.
“A-Are you okay, (Y/n)?” The brunette says in a small voice
“Can I be honest with you, Tara?” You earn a nod from the small girl
“No. I’m not okay. But you know what? I’ve got you and you got me. Thank you for telling me.”
“(Y/n)?”
“Yeah?”
“Mom says she isn’t coming back. Sam didn’t talk to me a lot but I miss her.”
“You’ve got such a big heart, Tara. Did you know that? Please don’t ever lose it for me.”
“Will Sam come back?”
Your breath hitches and for a second you’re left without words in your throat and without knowledge about the future.
“Yes… she’ll come back. Sam just doesn’t know it yet.”
Tara’s mom comes storming in a second later with an out of breath angry expression that slowly softens when she sees how her daughter is nestled in your arms
“Tara, you can’t just run away like that. You made me so scared, you know I can’t run as fast as you” Her mom presses a kiss to her forehead
“I had to tell (Y/n), Mom! She’s Sam’s best friend and she deserved to know”
Her mom brought a hand to Tara’s face to wipe a few stray tears. With her other, she placed on your shoulder with a small nod. Sam was gone. She was gone for good.
//-//
Sam spends her first night away from home in her car in a neighborhood she didn’t recognize. The first night Sam leaves, she holds Ghostie in her arms and hopes it’s enough to keep her safe.
//-//
“You’re hiding something”
“What?” You and Tara always hung out ever since Sam left. Her mom hasn’t been the same since her husband walked out. You offered to be one of Tara’s caretakers to help her mom with the load of being a single mother without Sam or her husband’s support
Your dad wasn’t home very often but every now and again he’d give you random tips on how to raise a teenager. At least, tips he used when he raised you. At first he was skeptical of you taking on the role of caretaker at such a young age but when you employed Tara to use her puppy eyes, it was a losing battle for him.
So Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Tara was all yours. You’ve been doing this since you turned eighteen and could confidently drive without being nervous at all. Also mostly because you couldn’t be her guardian in the eyes of the law under eighteen
There was a void in Tara’s heart and while you couldn’t fully replace her sister, the least you could do was be there. Which is how you knew something was up when she started picking at one of the things she loved so dearly. Your cooking.
“I know you’re hiding something, squirt”
“You’re crazy, I’m not hiding anything” Tara scoffs
“Hey, I’m not decades older than you. I know when you’re lying” You hated pulling the ‘I used to be your age’ card but now you’re realizing how effective it is when you’re only six or seven years older than Tara
Tara throws her head back, groaning in what seems to be frustration and covering her face. You can’t hold back your snicker. The younger Carpenter was always one for theatrics
“You don’t have to tell me but I could really help you, you know? With how super knowledgeable I am, as you know”
“Knowledgeable my ass, you didn’t know your microwave had a popcorn button until I told you”
“In my defense, I heard you’re not even supposed to use the popcorn button for popcorn”
“Then why is it called a popcorn button?”
“I dunno. Maybe the same reason why Greenland is called Greenland”
“What?”
“Deception. The guy who found Greenland named it that cause he wanted more people to come over. I bet he was lonely”
“Why do you know that?” Tara says in between laughs
“No clue, but we’re getting off topic!” You smile. “The point is, you shouldn’t feel like you have to keep secrets from me.” You reach over to pinch Tara’s cheek and she tries to swat your hand away, ultimately failing. “Well, big secrets. If you cheated on a test or something I don’t care that much”
“Thanks, (Y/n)”
“No problemo, squirt”
So now you were back to silently eating dinner except for your TV playing some sitcom Tara liked. You could handle the quietness. Even if Tara didn’t want to tell you, at least she knew you were there to listen. That’s all that mattered
“(Y/n), I think I like a girl.”
//-//
“What was Sam like?” Tara says out of the blue. “I was thirteen when she left but she didn’t really talk to me. What was she like… before that?”
It was another weekend night that consisted of spending time with Tara. The question catches you off guard
“I don’t think you’d believe me, squirt”
“Well I wanna know anyways. Even if i believe it or not”
“Did you know Sam named you?”
“She did?”
“Yeah, Sam named you Tara. You were unnamed for a while before she came up with anything.”
“Mom said she was mean. Is that true?”
“I mean yeah, but not entirely. When you’re friends with Sam, she’d be the nicest person you’ve ever met. Hell, she’d probably kill for anyone she loved. But when someone messed with a person she loved, nothing could stop her from making her loved one feel better”
“I wish I could’ve experienced it.”
“Trust me, you did. You just don’t remember it. One time when you were little, a kid that was around Sam’s age at time pushed you into the mud at the playground and Sam was furious” You laugh
“You cried and Sam could hear you from where we were playing soccer. She found him and kicked his ass so hard he crawled back to his mommy so we took you and booked it out of there”
“She did that?” Tara covers her mouth laughing, failing to cover it up
“I remember it like it was yesterday, squirt. Sam gave you a piggy back ride and you were giggling the entire time we ran home.”
//-//
“Fuck, Tara! Shit, I came as fast as I could. Are you okay? Oh my god, of course you’re not okay.” You barged into Tara’s hospital room without any concern of who else was in there. You took her face in your hands and scanned for anything wrong until you brought her into a bone crushing hug. “Sorry, stupid question. Holy shit I’m so happy you’re alive, squirt. I am never letting you out of my sight again. Okay maybe in the future I will, but the future is not now! Right now I’m never leaving you again.”
“You’re such a fighter, you know that? Holy shit you must’ve been so scared. Tara you’re the strongest person I know, did you know that?” There are tears in your eyes threatening to spill. You don’t even notice there are other people in the room.
“Deep breaths, (Y/n). I’m okay. Look, I’m right here” Tara takes one of your hands and puts it against her heart. Your eyes can’t hold in your tears any longer. When you cried, you rambled. Tara was ready for the storm.
“Fuck you’re such a sweet girl, Tara. Even when you’re lying in a hospital bed you care about me. I don’t know what monster would do this to you! He obviously doesn’t know what a blessing to this world you are. Please promise you’ll never let anyone stop you from being the beautiful sweet girl you are.”
There it was.
You felt a hand rub your back and your arm. You assumed it was Tara. Until you heard a hum that wasn’t Tara’s. Until you realized this person had rough hands. And oddly smelt like…
“Sam?” Your head whips around
“Hey, (Y/n). I… I missed you.”
“Sam?” You let go for a second and bring your hand to her face. Not in a cute or romantic holding-her-cheek-way, no, you pinch at her cheeks and nose with a questioning look. You poke at Sam’s forehead and nose, still probably in disbelief. Yeah, you were still her (Y/n).
“Please don’t tell me both of you are dead and I’m actually in a psych ward and this is all a dream” You whisper and you can hear Tara laugh behind you
“No, this is all very real.” Sam smiles, taking your hand off her face and gently putting it back by your side. Your eyes go wide and you whip around to look back at the younger Carpenter
“Tara, can I take my attention off you for a second? Will you be okay?” You whisper, knowing damn well Sam could hear you
“Yeah I’ll be okay, (Y/n). Go hug Sam.”
You press a kiss against Tara’s hairline and immediately after, launch into Sam’s arms. Tara could feel it again, you were going to start crying and rambling.
“Sam, I can’t believe you’re here! Well of course you’re here. I always knew you’d come back! I knew you wanted to come back. I don’t know why you left, but I hope you achieved your goal and came back because you missed us. Also I’m really mad at you but for the sake of time we can discuss that at a later time.”
There it was.
“You two are close, huh?” You don’t notice there’s a man with curly hair in the room and you raise an eyebrow at Sam
“Yeah, very close” You say
“Sorry, I should introduce you two. (Y/n), this is my boyfriend Richie. Richie, this is (Y/n). My…” Fuck. Sam couldn’t just say you were her best friend after all these years. After she made your life shit, was she even allowed to call you her friend? What if-
“Best friend. Happy to meet you, Richie”
“Likewise” He smiles. There’s a pang of a certain emotion in your chest you can’t quite place
“Well, I’ll be going now. Feel better soon, Tara” Richie waves at the younger Carpenter and gives Sam a kiss before he leaves Tara’s hospital room
“Do you know if my friends are visiting soon?” Tara asks you. Sam doesn’t know how to feel when she sees Tara treating you more like a sister than her. She knew it was wrong. Sam had no right to be treated like a sister after she just up and left all those years ago
“Amber told me she was getting some of your things from her house. The twins are coming over right now, okay? I think you’ll feel better when you see them”
Sam felt like an alien watching you and Tara talk. Watching you two was like watching everything she’s missed. Sam missed almost all of Tara’s high school experience. Arguably one of the most important times to have an older sister. She shouldn’t have been jealous. She wasn’t allowed to be jealous after all she did to you and Tara
“How’re you feeling right now? Anything I need to tell the doctors?”
“No, I’m feeling okay”
“Hey, can I talk to you outside, (Y/n)?” Sam says almost above a whisper
“Yeah, of course.” You turn to face Tara as you walk out her room. “See you in a second, squirt. Don’t run away” The brunette rolls her eyes at your words
“Guess I owe you all my stuffed animals, huh?”
“You still remember that?” You raise an eyebrow at the girl
“I do. I owe you an explanation, don’t I?”
“An explanation would be appreciated” You weren’t mad at Sam per se, just very very very disappointed. Mostly at yourself for letting her leave
“You remember when I yelled at you that day in middle school? I said I didn’t want to talk to you or be your friend anymore? It’s not an excuse, but I have an explanation.”
You nod along to Sam’s story, listening close
“The night before I yelled at you, I found out my dad wasn’t really my dad. I was going through my mom’s diaries I found in the attic and it was the worst thing I’ve ever done. I.. I found out I was-“ Sam doesn’t realize she’s crying until she chokes on her words and your expression falters. Sam remembers you were always good at comforting people
She’d always get bruises and scrapes when she was younger but you were always there to make her feel better. Fuck, she can’t remember why she would ever leave you. You were the perfect best friend. Always an inviting smile and open arms that were ready for hugs. The only one that stuck with Sam through whatever happened.
Sam was at her lowest of lows when you picked her up that night during the party. She remembers wondering why she’d put you so much pain and worry. She smoothed out the wrinkles on your forehead while you were asleep and felt guilty she was probably the cause of them. That night when you picked up Sam from that party and you had your arms wrapped around her, Sam asked herself why she would ever push you away. She loved everything about you. She loved you.
In her drunken state she remembers wanting to fade away into your memory. At least then you’d remember the Sam that played tag with you and not the one that snorted or drank away her pain. It was the same night she decided to leave everything behind. She decided to leave you behind
But Sam was selfish. She wanted you to tell her not to go. To come back into your arms and for you to tell her everything would be okay. That it didn’t matter she was the bastard child of a serial killer. It wasn’t her fault her dad left. Reassuring her you and Tara would love Sam the same. In a perfect world Sam would’ve still been Tara’s sister and you would’ve been her-
“Hey, look at me. You don’t have to tell me. If this is hurting you so much then I understand why you wanted to run away. What matters is that you came back. You’re strong for that” You pull Sam into your arms, letting her cry into the side of your neck.
Sam didn’t have the heart or the voice to tell you it wasn’t the story making her cry. She feared her voice would fail her and drive you away again. Sam would tell you why she left later
But right now, Sam was happy to be able to bask in your arms once again.
//-//
“Hey, (Y/n)?”
“Mhm?” You and Sam were back at your house getting some things Tara wanted
She requested the teddy bear Amber got her for her birthday, a blanket from her bed, and something better than hospital food. You decided to whip up something quick and simple you knew Tara liked. Frozen orange chicken from the store and fried rice
“I think I can tell you about why I left now.”
“Are you sure? I’m not gonna force you to tell me if it hurts so much to say, Sam”
“No, you of all people deserve to know. Sometimes I can’t believe I’m the same person that said all those horrible things to you and just never talked to you again without explanation.”
“Hey, don’t worry about all that. It’s in the past now and I know you’ve changed. I forgive you-“
“No, (Y/n). You can’t forgive me. You can’t make excuses for me and talk to me like we’re best friends again when I ignored you because I was mad at myself and- and-“ Sam chokes on her words and can’t hide it when you glance at her.
“Oh, Sam…”
“No, you can’t forgive me yet. I betrayed your trust. You can’t forgive me.”
“Sam, I accepted your apology when I saw you in Tara’s hospital room. Whatever you were going to say, I already knew I’d forgive you all the same.”
“Stop saying that, (Y/n). You don’t always have to be nice, you can be mad too.”
“But it’s true, Sam. If I’m mad at someone, I’m mad at myself for not fighting for you harder”
“How can you still look at me even when I left you. Years of friendship, all down the drain because I couldn’t handle being the bastard child of a serial killer that broke her family apart.” You turn off the heat to your stove, walking over to where Sam was curled into herself and sitting near the bottom of the staircase
Taking a seat next to her, you drape your arm around her shoulders and attempt to get her to rest her head on your shoulder. Sam doesn’t let you and fights back.
“Samantha Carpenter, you have been gone for five years. One-thousand eight hundred and twenty-five days, not including leap day. You aren’t allowed to push me away again. If you really want to say sorry, you can start by letting me in.” You take on a faux-mad tone and it seems to work
Slowly, the older Carpenter leans into your shoulder with a sigh. She makes herself comfortable and looks at you through her eyelids. It was weird. Five years out of Woodsboro and four years away from you, yet you still opened up your arms like nothings changed. It was odd. You were odd.
“What’re you thinking about?” You’ve always had a knack for reading Sam’s mind. Whenever she got quiet and her heart looked like it slowed, she was probably thinking
“You.”
“What about me?”
“How I don’t get you”
“What don’t you get about me?”
“I haven’t talked to you in nine years, I show up unannounced, and you’re still acting like we’re best friends even after all this time. I can’t tell if you’re the nicest or weirdest person ever.”
“Can’t I be both?” You smile, trying to lighten the mood. You realize it doesn’t work when Sam shies away from your gaze
“Well, I can be honest. I think it’s because I’m selfish.” That makes Sam look at you again so you decide to keep going
“Of course I’m… disappointed you broke up our friendship and you left without telling me and left your sister and I to believe you were never coming back,” The older Carpenter winces at your words but you don’t let her stop looking at you. Even as you avoid eye contact and place your gaze somewhere else.
“But there’s a part of me that wants everything to go back to normal. I know we’re going to have to talk about it. About us and about why, but right now I think what we need to do is be there for Tara. She’s in the hospital after being attacked by a serial killer and the last thing she needs is her older sister and her best friend fighting. We can do all the yelling and crying and screaming later.”
Taking a breath in, you look back at Sam who’s already looking at you. I’m makes your heart flutter in a way you don’t understand.
“And maybe that’s my excuse. Maybe I never want to cry or yell or scream at you. Maybe I’m putting off the inevitable because I don’t want you to leave again. Maybe Tara is my excuse for not being mad at you. Maybe I’m holding out hope for someone that doesn’t exist anymore. We’re different people than when we were in middle school. I don’t want to cling to a person that doesn’t exist anymore yet here I am, clinging to someone that doesn’t exist like she’s my lifeline. But in all honesty, I don’t think I could stay mad at you for too long. Even if I tried.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.” There’s a silence that passes between you two. You can’t tell if it’s awkward or comfortable silence. You hope it’s the latter
“Do you get me a little more?”
“Well, not entirely. But I think it’s a step.”
“Yeah. Steps are good, aren’t they? Keep you healthy.” Sam smiles at your stupid joke.
You don’t miss how Sam still reminds you of looking like one of your old stuffed animals.
“What was Tara like?”
“What do you mean?” The question catches you off guard. The Carpenter sisters seemed to have that in common
“I missed a lot of her life. What was she like?”
“I don’t think she’s changed a lot. Tara is a sweet girl, she’s got a good head on her shoulders and a good heart in her body.”
“But that’s probably not what you’re asking. Tara was… distraught when you left.” You pick your words carefully. “She ran away from her mom just to tell me you left. She said I deserved to know since I was your best friend. It took a while for her to want to let go of me me. It’s when I knew I just couldn’t let her stay like that forever”
You shakily sigh before continuing. You’d have to acknowledge the elephant in the room eventually and you decided it was going to be now. “I know I’m not her real sister. I hope you’ll forgive me for taking a role that was supposed to-“
“Are you kidding?” Sam quickly cuts you off when she registers what you’re saying. “If anything, I’m happy it was you.” The Carpenter lifts her head up from your shoulder to look at you. To really look at you. “I know she has a good person to look up to. I’m happy you two are close.”
You’re about to respond when your ringtone goes off. The same ringtone you had in high school. Some Evanescence song you remember religiously listening to in school blasts from your phone. Usually it was Tara who found it embarrassing when you had to answer it in public but this time it was you with the reddened cheeks. Scrambling to find your phone in your pocket, you pull it out to see it’s Tara calling you
“Hey squirt. What’s up?”
“Are you guys going to hurry up anytime soon? I’m starving”
“Yeah we’re leaving just now don’t worry about it”
“Okay but my stomach is currently eating itself”
“You’ll live. I’ll see you soon, yeah? Don’t go running anywhere”
“At least I don’t run jokes into the ground until they’re dead… pun not intended”
“Hah! Proof you’re taking after me whether you like it or not”
“Whatever, I’ll see you soon. Run red lights if you have to”
“You got it, boss. See you soon” You pocket your phone, getting up from where you’re sitting. Offering Sam your hand, she takes it and you help her up too
“C’mon, our little girl’s hungry. That’s something you should know, she’s got an appetite the size of an elephant and a metabolism as fast as a cheetah” You smile, putting Tara’s food in a lunchbox you had in a random cabinet somewhere
Sam doesn’t trust her voice to do anything but break so she laughs at your comment and you both leave your house
Sam thinks our little girl has a good ring to it.
//-//
“Oh my god. Tara? Sam?” You narrowly avoided the police yelling at you to get away and the caution tape that prevented you from coming any closer. What used to be a house that held fond memories had been replaced with one that only caused you worry. You couldn’t lose both Tara and Sam. You couldn’t lose your favorite girls.
Sam texted you to come over to Amber’s house. That it was a Ghostface emergency and the speed in which you jumped in your car rivaled The Flash himself
“(Y/n)!” Sam’s voice. You run to the sound, dodging and weaving through the paramedics and police officers telling you to leave
Sam finds you with bags under your eyes and your hair a mess. It looked like you were in your sleepwear. Even though you were just in a band tee and plaid pajama pants, Sam feels the need to wipe the blood off her face and clothes to look a little presentable. You always had that effect for some reason
“Sam.” You breathe a sigh of relief, running into her arms. Your choked sobs reach her ears and it’s the saddest sound she’s ever heard. Sam squeezes you tighter. Maybe if she did she’d never want to leave again
“You’re back and you almost left me again. Don’t you know how mad I would be if you died?” Pulling back, you put both of your hands on Sam’s cheeks like you did so many years ago. “You- you-“
“Hey, shh… I’m here. I’m here, sweetie. See? I’m here and I’m never leaving again.” Sam leans her forehead against yours, putting your hands around her waist so she could wipe the tears away from your face.
“I’m here, yeah? We won. They’re gone now, (Y/n).”
“How’re you sure?”
“They’re dead. Both of the Ghostfaces are dead.”
Sam leans in, awfully close for someone who’s just your best friend. Your mind instantly goes to her boyfriend. You know what’s about to happen so you back away, a little weary. The Carpenter furrows her eyebrows looking a little sad, oddly resembling a kicked puppy.
“What about Ric-?”
“Don’t say his name, it’ll ruin your perfect mouth” Sam cups your cheek, running her face over your bottom lip
You have to fight your body to not get hot at her words and actions. “Yeah but- he’s kind of your boyfriend. Where is he?”
“Ex-boyfriend actually. He’s dead, I killed him.”
“Oh. Am I right for assuming that’s a god thing?”
“Very good. He was one of the Ghostfaces”
“One of? Who’s the other?”
“I think Tara should be the one to tell you”
“Well, I didn’t like Richie to begin with. He gave me an odd feeling”
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” Sam leans in closer to you, a ghost of a kiss hanging in the air waiting to be taken. Sam smiles against your breath and for a fraction of a second you think your heart has stopped beating.
“He got to kiss you before I did.” Something snaps in Sam when you kiss her. A craving she’s always had, a certain desire finally being filled, or maybe even her dreams coming true.
You hold Sam like she’s about to leave again, pulling her impossibly close. You’re never letting her go again. It’s Sam who pulls away first. She’s out of breath but you lean in to steal more kisses before she smiles against your lips and it’s an image you never want to forget.
“Please, you two have to stop doing this.” You whisper, your eyes going wide. “Where’s Tara?” You pull away from Sam, whipping your head around like it’s going to help you find her quicker
“C’mon, she’s over here. Be careful, don’t squeeze her too hard”
“I’m going to squeeze that girl until she knows how much I love her.”
“You might break one of her ribs, darling”
“Squirt, you’re alive!” You run to Tara as her head whips in your direction. You can feel tears pool in your eyes once again and you’re okay with letting them go.
“(Y/n), I was so scared. A-Amber she- she tried to kill me.”
“What? Amber? Amber as in, your girlfriend?” You say shocked, taking Tara’s face in your hands to look at her
“A-Amber and Richie, they-“
“How about we tell (Y/n) what happened later? We need to make sure everyone is okay, including ourselves. (Y/n) can wait, right?”
“Oh I can wait alright. I’m the best at waiting. You can tell me about it when you’re feeling better”
One of the paramedics call over the Carpenter sisters and by proximity, you tag along. A man is ushering them in an ambulance and you’re also about to hop in before he stops you
“Ma’am, I’m sorry but we can’t let you into the ambulance. We don’t have enough space.”
“That is my little girl and that is my girlfriend. I will either be running every single red light, hang on the top of this ambulance, or so forgive me god for what I’m going to do.”
“O-Of course, Ma’am. You can ride in the ambulance.”
“Thank you, sir. You made a good decision today” You pat his shoulder, taking your seat near Sam. You sling an arm around Sam’s shoulders and reach out to hold Tara’s hand.
“Girlfriend, huh?” Tara weakly smiles, looking between you and her sister.

paring(s): jenna ortega x g!p!reader
warning(s): smut, p in v, unprotected sex, mentions of past break up, mentions of drugs, smoking, drinking, cheating, sex in a bathroom, sex in front of an open window, no pronouns used for reader, uhh that’s it i think(?)
summary: you get invited to jenna’s engagement party a year after your break-up.
────────✬────────
the crisps sound of the cigarette burning crackled as your lips wrapped around it, taking a long drag you let the smoke ease through your nose before you threw the stick to the ground and stepped it on, twisting your heel to put the burn out.
nothing but a flickering street light mixed with the red light of the street light illuminated over you face, as the rain drizzled you stood on the empty sidewalk looking up at the new york apartment building, the white invitation, that you had ripped apart weeks ago, was now tapped together in your hand’s tight hold.
“excuse me?” you let out a faint ‘huh’, turning your head in the voice’s direction.
there stood an unfamiliar man clad in a dark suit.
“are you here for the engagement party? could you tell me which building it is? i’m little the lost.” he ended his words with a slight chuckle to ease the tension, clearly telling the mood you were in.
“yeah. i’m heading up there now, i’ll walk you up.” you offer, finally getting collected enough to even go in, in the first place.
the man smiles, stepping close and you both turn your heads to either side of the road before jogging across it.
1580.
from very fresh memory, you press code to access the apartment building’s front door.
“you live here?”
“nah. i know the person who does.” you offer in a sulking tone.
the man nods his head with his mouth in an ‘o’ shape. “you know jen?”
“how do you know her?”
“oh, uh, my girlfriend and her are really close so i got invited by association. my girlfriend is already here, i’m just running late from work.”
you nod, uninterested.
“how do you know jen?”
“who’s your girlfriend?” you ignore his question as you step into the elevator.
“emma. you don’t like answering questions do you?”
“jen and i used to date.” you shrug off pressing the number 4.
a face of realization came over the man, “you’re y/n?”
“and you are?” this elevator couldn’t be moving any slower.
“john.”
silence had fell over you two as the shaft came to a stop, you both stepped out at the same time, coming face to face with your’ destination.
music and chatter could be heard through the door that held a sign that read, ‘just come on in.’
“well, cheers. thanks for walking me up.” john offers a smile before disappearing into the direction of the kitchen.
you stay planted by the front door, scanning the place, there were a number of faces you recognized. co—stars of jenna and mutual friends of yours.
as you looked over the familiar apartment your eyes caught the big sign that hung from the ceiling, ‘congratulations to jenna and ari!’ in a fancy golden fond with glitter around it.
i need a drink. the thought waved over you and immediately your feet moved to towards the kitchen as did john.
to your good fortune the kitchen was empty.
scanning over the choices of refreshments, you skipped over the soda and water, going right the alcohol where you would find patron to occupy your grievances.
“y/n? hey!”
a mouthed ‘fuck’ followed with the roll of your eyes before you turn to face jenna’s co—star and your mutual friend, mason.
“hey, mas! long time no see.” you face excited as you let the man pull you into a ‘bro’ hug.
“i know, it’s been like a month since we last linked up.”
you nod, taking a big sip from the red solo cup. “ah, you know, busy, busy, busy.”
you catch the way he nods his head awkward, knowing you’d barely talked to any of the friends you shared with jenna since the split.
“you working on anything new?”
“yeah, i just booked this dc movie. i start directing in a few weeks.”
“that’s great! i’m glad to see you here...”
you wanted to crawl into a hole in die.
“it’s good you and jenna are on good terms after everything. you two create magic together, romantic or not.” he reaches and pants your shoulder in support.
“but i gotta get back to dylan and ethan, you should come say hi later, yeah?”
“sounds like a plan.” a plastic smile flashed from you, immediately dropping when the boy walked away.
safe to say you needed more than just a drink now but a cigarette.
downing what little was left in the cup, you easily made yourself up the stairs that led to the bathroom which held three stalls and an open window, only two girls stood by the mirror doing what seemed to be gossiping. you flash a smile, making your way over to the window where you lit another malboro.
i can’t believe she’s getting married.
all your thoughts seemed to be consumed with the same six words. to be truthful, it was justified because how you could you come to terms with your ex-girlfriend of six years, that you were very much not over getting married just as year after your split.
a deep inhale consumes you as you thoughts wash over you, your eyes counting the city view.
where did it all go wrong?
“you showed up.”
your eyes flutter at the voice, immediately you hit the cigarette.
jenna.
“of course i made it. wouldn’t wanna miss your big day.” you turn, you body language filled with as much sarcasm as your voice.
you take in her body, she looked the same if not better a year later. well, better than the pictures you found while instagram and media stalking her.
“you could’ve said hi, you know? but knowing you, you probably would’ve disappeared after your cigarette.” she gestures to the stick that sat between your pointer and middle.
your head tilts as you smirk a smile, eyes going to the stick and back to jen. “join me?”
wordlessly the woman steps forward, her eyes never leaving yours she attempts to grab the cigarette but swiftly, you pull back, nodding your head ‘no’ before bringing your hand up to her lips, letting her inhale.
“you been standing in the rain? you’re all wet.”
looking back out the window, “i was contemplating if i even wanted to come in or not. let my sorrow consume me far away from you or right in front of you.”
“always been a battle of yours, huh?”
wordlessly, you reach forward, throwing the lit object from the window.
“when did you meet your finance?” you inquire, a small smirk coming over your face to which jenna rolls her eyes at.
“6–8 months after we split.”
you scoff, “you move on quick, and i think you mean after you left. we didn’t split. you made that choice.”
she squints, stopping to study you for a moment.
“i didn’t leave. the relationship was toxic and you knew it. you knew then, and you know it now but your pride would let you accept it.”
“just because we were in love doesn’t mean we were right for each other, y/n.”
dramatically you throw your hands up, letting them harshly fall back down to your side.
“so, what? we argued? who doesn’t? that doesn’t mean our relationship was this big tumultuous thing, jenna!”
“look at us, we’re not even together, i’m engaged and somehow we are still arguing. we should’ve never gotten together, i should’ve never mixed business with pleasure.”
it was true, you and jenna started off as co-workers.
you, being a quite known director had landed one of the many positions on ‘wednesday’, a job you’d had been quite a fan of considering you’d previously had a hugeee crush on jenna as she rose to ‘it girl’ status in the film world.
not to mention, ‘addams family’ was one of your favs growing up.
essentially, after the first two to three weeks of filming you and jenna really started to form a closeness. you’d started a traditions where at least one person on set gets pranked every wednesday and jenna, being who she was, just loved this.
wanting to get in on the pranking action, she sparked up conversation with you which formed into you visiting her trailer to plan your next to prank, which then turned into you asking her out.
from there, your relationship spouted.
at the start you guys held a pretty content relationship with each other, bickering placed between you two at times but nothing too serious to break up—well, until your first real argument a year in.
you had gotten another job after the first season of wednesday aired, directing for marvel’s new show ‘hawkeye.’
normally after the first day of filming is done, the cast goes out to a dinner to celebrate, unfortunately for everyone paparazzi got a tip of one of the stars of the show, haliee steinfeld, was out to dinner so of course they showed up. in the mix of every thing a few pics of you and haliee were snapped, which caused dating rumors.
let’s just say, when you got home jenna was not happy with you. the situation even causing you two to split up, for a week, but still it was a split up.
over all, your and jenna weren’t ones to agree on the bigger things which caused you ‘break up’ in the long term of your six year relationship and somewhere along the lines it became too much for the young actress as she already had enough to stress over with fame so she called it quits, leaving you to self-destruct with drinking, smoking, drugs, and partying.
in the mix of your wicked lonesome you’d always thought somewhere, somehow you and jenna would end up on the same street at the same time but just a month ago did you receive an invitation to her engagement party.
“if you feel that way, why’d you even invite me? i believe one of the last things you said to me was about how you never wanted to see me again.”
she leans back like she’s shocked by your words.
“our relationship might have been a mess but we spent six years together, i learned a lot from you and us in those six years. you’ll always be special to me, y/n, that’s why i want you here.”
“six years gone is just a couple of months.” you grit, turning to walk away in a haste but failing as the woman grabs to your wrist.
she pulls you toward her, a little to close if you ask anyone else, especially her fiancé.
“don’t walk away from me, y/n! i know it hurts but can you just be here for me? can you just be happy for me?”
“do you even love her?”
“of course i do, i wouldn’t marry someone i didn’t love.” her hand was still firmly around your wrist.
“ok, so,” a bitter chuckle falls from your lips. “are you in love with her?”
you could see jenna’s tongue roll around in her mouth in distaste as she turned her head to the side and back up to you.
“why are you asking me all this? all i did was ask you to be here for me.”
again, you let a bitter chuckle slip past your lips. “you’re not even in love with the girl and you’re gonna marry her.”
“i never said tha—”
“you didn’t have to. i know you, jenna—i mean, come on we dated for six years, you’re gonna have to do better at lying than thi—”
“i’m not lying!” she defended, finally pulling her touch away.
“yes you are.” you couldn’t be more amused in this moment than you had the past year.
“you know what, i’m not doing this. don’t stay. i don’t care.”
this time jenna is the one to try to walk away but you grip her wrist the same she had done yours, pulling her back to you but this time even closer, your bodies together.
“kiss me.” it came out softer than you intended, almost like a whisper but raspy and firm.
“i—i can’t. i can’t do this with you.” she attempts to pull away but your arms wrap around her waist, keeping her in place.
you lean down, only getting the chance to brush your lips over her’s as she quickly turns her head to the side, fighting any and all temptation.
wordlessly, you let your lips connect with her cheek and gracefully move down to her jaw before lifting your head to stare back to the woman you were so familiarly enamored with.
“jenna, kiss me.” you grip the sides of her face, pulling her in, to which she definitely no longer fought from by the way she kissed you back, seemingly even more in need of it than you.
you could taste the cigarette from each other’s lips, her breath mixed with cherry and your’s with the drink you had, had earlier.
mindless thoughts flew through your head in the moment, your body so heated with final desire it melted to the inside of you. while, jenna’s filled with so many thoughts she could probably explode from them in this moment.
she knew she shouldn’t be doing this and not just because she were with someone else but because your relationship would bring nothing but chaos of heartache, but damn she loved you.
she were in love with you, even after all this time. even after being with someone else, let alone engaged to them.
nothing compared to then taste of your lips that were firmly, but sloppily moving against her’s with haste in these very seconds. or the way your hands traveled across her, up from her waist down to her ass, which you gripped harshly in a wanting manner.
alone in the bathroom, only your pants of eager desire could be heard. shamelessly all over each other, just inches from the big open window for the world to see.
quickly but surely, you flip jenna’s body, her hands immediately holding onto to that window as you hike her black dress up before impatiently undoing the strings on your sweatpants that you let drop to your ankles, along with your boxers.
you harden cock sprung free, hollowly brushing against her ass.
“i missed you so much.” you wish in her ear before kissing it.
“arch a little more for me.” your tone was soft spoken with desire.
with your left hand pressed against her lower back you use your right to align yourself before slowly sliding in, letting a groan fall from your lips and your head throw back. you couldn’t believe what was happening after such a long time.
neither could jenna believe her actions but as tempting as you were it was bound to happen. her head pressed against the window as her eyes closed in fancy, mouth firmly open with pretty moans to fall from them.
your hands gripped her waist, fingers digging into her sides as your hips move in a back and forth motion, going in and out of her while your eyes watched the sight in awe.
“tell me you love me.” you demand.
“i love you.” she easily complies.
“again.”
“i love you.”
“again.”
“i love you.”
“fuckkkkk.” you draw out, moving with more pace.
“i love you too.” you words were as just as much fire to jenna as her’s were to you.
you enflamed her in way you were half clueless to but could definitely feel by the way she pushed back trying to get you impossibly deeper and closer.
“fuck, baby. if you keep doing that i’m gonna cum.” your head flies back in pleasure.
gaining a smidge of strength in the mix of your motions, jenna pushes off the window into you.
“i’m gonna cum too. i wanna cum with you.”
“keep going.” you utter, moving impossibly faster as you feel the build up in your body set to release, assuming jenna felt the same by the way she clenches around you.
“kiss me, kiss me.” you order, leaning down to meet the girl’s lips.
you moved your motions a few more times before feeling jenna’s juices gush over you.
you followed shortly behind, letting everything go inside of her.
there was moments of silence before jenna was the one to pull away from your embrace, fixing her now soaked underwear and pulling down her dress.
a content smirk filled your face as you collected yourself.
“you—”
“jen? jenna?” any cocky remark you had to say was put on hold by what seemed to be jasmin’s voice, a co—star of jenna’s and good friend of the both of you.
as the woman came through the door, she paused, eyeing the distraught state between the both of you.
“ari is about to do the toast, hurry out.” was all she could manage before exiting the same way she had came.
this would definitely be the topic of discussion later. jenna thought as she moved over to the mirror to check her semi-messed up makeup.
“i’ll be on my way out. come over later when you’re done breaking the news to ari.”

Do you write angsty stuff?
Here's my idea:
Tara or Cairo x Reader
Tara/Cario are using Reader as a rebound after a failed relationship with Amber/Miller because Reader is in love with Tara/Cairo and they know it (It's been obvious to everyone but she was ignoring it. Maybe she didn't know how to respond, maybe she just enjoyed the attention.)
At the beginning Tara/Cairo tries to justify herself by saying R made it too easy, but..
...Long story short she starts to catch feelings. But then Reader finds out the only reason she got with R in the first place was to get over Amber/Miller.
Some sort of angst scene probably ensues.
Whatever ending you'd want is great to me.
But ofc if you're not up to it or you can't find the motivation: pretend you never saw this request. (feel free to dm me to say you don't plan on doing it though, i have a bad habit of getting my hopes up :p)
Used
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tara carpenter X reader
Status: request
The café air was dense with the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, and the soft murmur of conversations filled the space. I was sitting across from Tara, trying to start a conversation with my girlfriend.
But Tara was staring at her phone with an absorbed expression.
"How did it go today? Was the exam difficult?" I asked nervously.
Tara put down her phone and raised her head. Her gaze seemed lost in some distant world, my heart pounding tumultuously in my chest.
"Everything okay?" I asked, trying to break the ice that had formed between us.
Tara lifted her eyes to me, but her gaze seemed distant. "Yes, everything's fine," she replied faintly.
"Everything's normal at school… The exam was normal," she added weakly, her eyes glancing at the phone notification.
I played nervously with my fingers.
The atmosphere between us was tense, laden with a tension that seemed to grow with every second spent in silence. I wanted to say something, anything to fill that deafening void, but the words seemed stuck in my throat.
"And you? Everything okay?" she asked curiously.
Her eyes suddenly looked at me with total sweetness, and my cheeks turned red at being looked at with such intensity.
A small smile spread across her lips.
"It was a boring day… if it weren't for Mindy, I would have fallen asleep at the desk," I joked, and Tara smiled timidly.
Time seemed to pass slowly, the ticking of the clock on the wall seemed deafening in the oppressive quiet of the café.
Despite her bright eyes, I could sense that something was wrong with Tara. Her body was tense, her jaw was rigid, and every now and then she looked at me with eyes that screamed "I need to tell you something," but nothing came out of her mouth.
"I missed you," I confessed faintly.
I reached across the table and timidly took Tara's hand in mine. The brunette smiled broadly, making butterflies flutter in my stomach.
"Me too," she murmured weakly.
My eyes looked at Tara with total admiration, my heartbeats increasing recklessly every time she smiled at me.
Tara squeezed my hand.
I sighed, in love.
"Will you come over tonight?" Tara asked curiously, and I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Me? In the same room as Sam Carpenter?" I asked skeptically.
Tara's older sister was very, indeed excessively, protective of Tara. But I could understand… Both had faced the events of Ghostface, barely coming out unscathed.
"She adores you," she reassured me with a smile on her lips.
A phone notification caught her attention, her mood changing instantly. Her smile was replaced by a dark, cold look.
Tara stood up, her face dark and troubled. "I have to go," she said quickly without looking me in the eyes. "We'll talk later."
Without waiting for my response, she turned and disappeared out the café door, leaving me alone with the weight of the silence that permeated the air around me
(...)
"Look who we have here," exclaimed an annoyingly irritating voice.
After the unusual afternoon yesterday, I had decided to give Tara her space and wait for her mood to calm down before facing her. However, there were questions burning inside me.
I slammed the locker shut, the metallic sound echoing in the air. I turned towards Amber Freeman.
"What do you want, Amber?" I asked with an exhausted tone.
It was too early to face such a rupture.
Amber chuckled maliciously and crossed her arms over her chest, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
Mindy approached us and looked at the situation with confusion. "What's going on here?" my friend asked with genuine interest.
Mindy glared at Amber.
"I don't know," I replied to my friend with a small smile.
"I wanted to talk about Tara," Amber said sing-song.
My attention was immediately captured at the mention of my girlfriend: I knew Tara was her ex and that they had broken up for some strange reason… But now I didn't know what she wanted from her.
"Didn't she tell you?" Amber asked with fake innocence that made me grit my teeth.
Mindy widened her eyes and looked at me with concern. What's wrong with her? Does she know something Tara did? And why hasn't she told me anything?
"What was my girlfriend supposed to tell me?" I asked with a mix of anxiety and jealousy at the way Amber talked about Tara.
"The reason you're together," Amber said venomously.
"Amber, stop it," Mindy intervened, looking at the black-haired girl with anger.
What did I miss?
"What's going on here?" someone suddenly asked.
All three of us turned towards the sound of the voice and saw Tara looking at us with curiosity. Tara stood by my side and leaned in to give me a chaste kiss on the lips.
Amber made a strange noise in her throat.
"We were talking about you," Amber said irritably, her eyes looking at me with hatred.
Tara raised an eyebrow.
"She says you have to tell me something," I blurted with flushed cheeks, the warmth of Tara's lips still on mine.
"Come on, Tara… Tell her, or I will," Amber said challengingly.
Tara's body stiffened at Amber's words, and a strange feeling of discomfort invaded my body. Tara swallowed loudly and looked at me nervously.
"I…" Tara murmured timidly, biting her lower lip with nervousness.
"You know I'm in love with you, right?" she said, looking at me with worry.
"I'm in love with you too," I said in confusion, a smile spreading across my lips at her words.
"But…" continued the brunette with anguish.
I observed Tara closely, noticing the tremor in her voice and her labored breathing. The inner conflict tormenting her was evident, as if she were wrapped in a tangle of conflicting emotions.
"For God's sake! She used you to forget about me!" exclaimed Amber impatiently.
Mindy looked at me with concern, and Tara's shoulders stiffened at her ex's words. I smiled timidly at the absurdity of the situation and looked at the black-haired girl with strange confidence.
"The world doesn't revolve around you, Amber. Tara is in love with me," I replied, looking at Tara with a smile on my lips.
But my smile faded when I met Tara's gaze, her tear-filled eyes reflecting remorse and sadness. At that moment, everything I thought I knew was called into question.
"Tara… Is Amber telling the truth?" My voice trembled slightly, almost as if I didn't want to hear the answer.
My disappointment was palpable as Tara nodded, confirming Amber's words. It was as if a veil lifted from my eyes, revealing the harsh truth behind her actions. I felt as if I had been thrown into an abyss of betrayal and despair.
"I can't believe you did this to me, Tara," my words came out with difficulty, laden with disappointment and pain.
Tears began to fill my eyes, blurring my vision as disappointment seeped into my heart like a slow but lethal poison.
"I don't even know what to think now," I whispered, my voice breaking with emotion. "I feel so deceived."
Tara tried to grasp my hand, but I instinctively pulled away as if her touch could burn me. "Y/n, please… believe me when I say I truly love you," she pleaded, but her words sounded like a distant echo
My gaze drops, unable to maintain eye contact.
"What an embarrassing situation," Amber interjects with a satisfied smile.
Tara glares at her, her eyes brimming with anger and frustration. "It's your fault!" she retorts firmly, her voice laden with repressed ire.
Amber raises an eyebrow, defiant. "Oh, sure, blame me for all your mistakes," she responds sarcastically. "You never take responsibility for your actions, do you?"
The tension in the room is palpable as the two women exchange cutting looks and barbed words. I feel like a powerless observer in the face of this emotional storm, unsure how to intervene to calm the heated tempers.
But what am I saying? Tara used me and I’m still here, standing still?
The realization hits me like a lightning bolt, making the memories of the past few days flash through my mind. Tara’s behavior yesterday fits together like a puzzle: staring at her phone for no apparent reason, her empty eyes hiding who knows what thoughts, the nervousness she tried to conceal behind a forced smile.
"How stupid I am," I whisper, feeling a mix of anger and shame for being so naive.
Tara shifts her attention away from Amber and looks at me with guilt, the sadness and tears she had tried to hold back streaming down her cheeks. "Y/n, please… believe me when I say I really love you," she tries to plead, but her voice sounds empty to my ears.
"I don't think I can believe you anymore," I replied firmly, feeling a coldness take over inside me. "Not after what you've done."
Tara tried to take my hands again, tears silently streaming down her cheeks. "Y/n, please… I know I've made a terrible mistake," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "But please, I don't want to lose you. I love you more than anything in the world."
Her voice was a desperate lament, but my armor was now too solid to yield. "No, Tara," I said with a calm but firm voice. "I don't know if I'll ever be able to trust you again."
Her shoulders slumped under the weight of my words, and I saw the pain in her eyes as she struggled with the realization of the consequences of her actions.
"Please, Y/n, give me just one more chance," she pleaded, the tears flowing unchecked.
I slowly shook my head, trying to hold back the tears.
"Y/n…" Mindy intervened weakly.
I turned to Mindy, my gaze filled with anger and disappointment. "You knew, didn't you?" I asked coldly, the tone accusatory.
Mindy lowered her gaze, unable to meet my direct stare. "Yes, I knew," she admitted in a weak voice, her voice shaky with anxiety.
My anger grew, feeling the betrayal cut like a sharp knife. "And you didn't say anything?" I retorted, feeling the bitterness rise in my throat. "You let all this happen, knowing the truth?"
Her lips trembled as she tried to find the right words. "I'm sorry, Y/n. I didn't know how to tell you," she defended herself, tears beginning to streak her face.
My disappointment turned into fury. "I don't want to hear from you anymore," I said harshly.
"Nor from you," I exclaimed venomously, addressing Tara.
Without another word, I walked away from them, leaving the room filled with tension and bitterness. My legs wobbled under the weight of the disappointment as I headed towards the exit, desperately trying to put distance between myself and the cruel reality I had just discovered.
My mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions as the sense of betrayal sunk deeper and deeper into me. With a broken heart and a devastated soul, I found myself wandering in the void of uncertainty, unable to find comfort or consolation. My trust had been betrayed, my world upended, and I didn't know how recover from this devastating blow.
