I can count on one hand how many podcasts I've listened to, I can count on one finger on how many podcasts I've finished and that one was CerealKyler's podcast on life with Alice Cooper. Sometime around Christmas 2020 @henrycavill shared a post about a podcast called Amazing War Stories and mentioned his brother, Corporal Nik Cavill made an appearance on an episode. As someone who likes hearing war stories (..wait..did I just say that!? Pretty sure my younger self would've cringed at that sentence.) I knew I needed to listen to it. This morning while I was attempting to sew my cosplay, I put this on as background noise but I ended up giving up on working on my cosplay because this series is fantastic. Bruce Crompton is an ex-british paratrooper and a history fanatic, he shares the stories he and his team researched about british war stories that not many are familiar with. Stories that are hard to believe but are surpisingly true and some of those stories have first encountered audio (archived audio footage) used. Bruce brings in ex and current armed services personal to assist in the 7 stories podcast. Amazing War Stories is well worth a listen to. And as someone who barely knows any lingo used throughout this podcast, I did thankfully manage to understand with the help of explanations within the series. I listened on @spotify but you can listen on @itunes as well. Listening to this has made me realise that ANZAC's need something like this. We probably have some interesting (mostly unknown) stories to share.
