The 16th hole was one of the few that fit my eye. The shape, scale, slope of the hole all magnify the hazard. Everything about the tee shot on the par 5 11th hole made me uncomfortable; Dye-esque in that respect. On the approach shot, being too far left in the fairway makes the green shallow, leaving less margin of error. Hard to overstate how critical positioning the tee shot is on this uphill par 5. Get the ball to the middle or left side of the fairway and it's a green light to try to reach the green. Miss right, even within the fairway, and the slope of the hill or the two trees at the corner force one to punch forward or lay up to the left, avoiding the creek in the process. The further left you lay up, the wider the water surface becomes. Another solid hole, strategically speaking. High risk/reward hugging as close to the creek as possible, leaving a better angle to the entire green.
