a love like religion
jason todd x fem!reader
word count: 1.4k
warnings: smut MDNI, unprotected sex, gentle dom!jason, size difference, creampie, biting and scratching hard enough to draw blood, all the pet names from Jason (baby, sweetheart, ma, mama, darlinâ, honey), lots of aftercare, hints of codependency from jay and reader.
a/n: was daydreaming about jason (as per usual) and got to thinking about how if he were real I would be so down bad for this man it would be borderline unhealthy. something something about your lover becoming your god or whatnot. ngl wrote this with a bit of a âbones and allâ vibe in mind of just needing jay in every conceivable way and it uhhhhâŠspiraled. so here, have some fucking with copious amounts of aftercare and maybe codependency if you squint?

There arenât many things in life you can be certain of. The ever changing tides of fate have washed you ashore and swept you back into drowning more times than you can count. Youâd grown used to it, the ephemeral nature of being alive. You relied on the two things you knew to be unwaveringly true: you are currently living and breathing; and one day you will die, and the living and breathing will be over. You did not anticipate adding any other unchangeable qualities to this list. You now have one that supersedes every other: you love Jason Todd.
You love him more than anything in this universe or the next. You love him like you love air to breathe. Heâs your entire world. The sun holds itself in the smiles he reserves only for you, the stars in the gleaming of his seafoam eyes when the moonlight hits them just right, gravity residing in the weight of his hands on your waist.
You love Jason so much you wish you could crawl into his chest, nestle yourself between his ribs and feel the beat of his heart from within. You canât, of course. But right now, with his broad frame between your thighs and his hips rocking relentlessly into yours? Itâs as close as you can get.
Itâs intoxicating, the combination of physicality and emotion. Jason feels so good. His cock pushes against every sweet spot you have, delicious toe-curling drags that have you whimpering his name. And heâs so big. It feels like heâs splitting you in half even though heâd spent a good half hour prepping you on his fingers and his tongue. You wouldnât have it any other way. Feeling your body give way to him, conforming to the shape and weight of himâitâs like nothing else youâve ever experienced. Nothing compares to Jason.
Thatâs part of it too. Sure, the feeling of him driving his thick cock into you would be amazing no matter what. But doing this with him while knowing how much he loves you, how much you love him? Itâs divine. No heaven could come close to this. Youâd take an eternity with him over anything else.
âFuck, youâre so pretty, ma. Feel so fuckinâ good around me,â Jason moans as he trails kisses down your neck.
âJayâJason, please,â you whine.
Youâre not even sure what youâre begging for. Heâs giving you everything you need. His hips rock back and forth at the perfect pace, deep thrusts that you swear you can feel all the way in your throat. Your legs wrap around his waist, ankles crossing over his lower back in an effort to keep him close. Heâs buried to the hilt inside you and yet you still want more.
âWhat is it, baby? Tell me what ya need,â he pants. âIâll give you anythinâ, sweetheart. Anythinâ you want.â
âYou.â
The word tumbles from your mouth over and over and over again. Heâs reduced you to a crying, needy mess, incapable of thinking about anything other than him. But he knows you all too well and indulges you in your request. He leans in closer, using all his weight to pin you between his warm body and your disheveled blankets.
All you know is Jason. His large frame above you, so big that he blocks the candlelit bedroom from your sight. His voice cooing praises in your earâyouâre so beautiful, takinâ me so well darlinâ, Iâm all yours sweetheart. His lips kissing and biting adoring bruises into your neck, your collarbone. How heavenly the wet strokes of his cock feel inside your over sensitive cunt. He moves his hand down to rub your clit at the same time that he licks his way into your mouth and youâre done for.
Burning, brightâa white hot supernova that explodes across every nerve ending from your head to your toes. Your legs lock around him as your whole body shudders. Your nails rake across his back and biceps, pretty red lines blooming over his scars. Your teeth sink into his shoulder and you recognize the coppery taste of his blood. The pleasure-pain of your bite draws forth Jasonâs orgasm and the warmth that floods you makes you dig your claws in deeper. You mark him as he marks you. A permanent claim, tangible evidence of the love that hums between you. You have one semi-coherent thought before your mind becomes static: youâre as full of him as you can be; mouth, nails, pussyâyouâve got him in every part of you now.
You donât realize youâre sobbing until you feel his gentle hands wipe the tears from your face.
âYou with me, mama?â he whispers, forehead resting against yours.
You hiccup. It takes all your energy to nod weakly in confirmation. You cling to him, not letting him move an inch away from you. His strong arms wrap around your waist, pulling you as close to him as physically possible. The movement causes his half hard cock to grind deliciously inside you and youâre gasping into the crook of his neck.
âStay. Please,â you beg through tears.
Jason just holds you tighter to his chest, and you find safety in the strength of his embrace.
âIâm not going anywhere, baby. Iâm stayinâ right here with you,â he assures you.
After a few moments, your head clears ever so slightly. You become conscious of touch. Your hands twitch back to life and you discover that Jason has placed them around his neck. Your fingers rest against his pulse, the steady badum badum badum lulling you back to lucidity. You blink open your teary eyes and see concern swirling in the deep sea green of your loverâs.
âWas it too much? I didnât mean to overwhelm you, baby. Iâm sorry,â he whispers, gentle as the winter rain thatâs beginning to fall outside.
âNot overwhelmed,â you mumble into his neck. âI just love you.â
Your voice cracks on those four words. You break under the bruising weight of your love for him. You think it could kill you, could bury you six feet under, and you would happily die for it. You would happily die for him. You donât think youâd want to go out any other way. His hand in yours; itâs the only way you can exist now.
Jason feels it too. He knows you almost as well as you know yourself. He knows how complete your devotion is to him, how he could ask for anything and you would offer it up without hesitation. He knows his is the same. You could demand his heart on a silver platter and heâd go grab his daggers that are displayed neatly on the wall and the fine china back at Wayne Manor. And maybe itâs a lot, maybe youâre both a little too attached. But how could either of you possibly care when loving each other felt this good?
So he handles you delicately. He soothes you when your sobbing returns as he goes to grab a warm washcloth. He wipes your tears as he cleans your combined spend off your thighs. He gently pulls a pair of his boxers over your hips, one of his hoodies over your head. He cradles you in his arms as he carries you to the living room to eat some snacks and continue binging The Great British Baking Show. Youâve come back to reality now. A soft peace settles across your overworked body and mind as you lie intertwined with Jason on the sofa.
âIâm sorry I lost it a little there,â you mumble into his chest, cheeks flushed and more than a tad embarrassed.
âYou got nothinâ to apologize for, honey. How many times have I done the same?â
Itâs true. Most times itâs Jason thatâs the sobbing, fucked out mess in the afterglow. Itâs part of why the come down hit you so hard this time. You feel almost guilty, like you shouldâve been able to hold yourself together better for him. You swear he can read your mind when he gently grabs your chin and turns your head to face him.
âHey, none of that feelinâ bad bullshit. We take care of each other. Itâs what we do. Youâre the one always sayinâ that, right?â he asks, softly nudging his hooked nose against yours.
âYeah, we take care of each other,â you whisper. âForever and always?â
Jason absolutely beams at you, and suddenly nothing matters but him and the love you share in this little bit of time and space thatâs all yours.
âForever and always.â

May I have the five beasts x male reader who is one of them and has the power to create plants and such before his corruption he was always pressure by the witches and his advisors to be perfect always have a smile on his face make beautiful flowers and plants bloom always no matter what never allow to do what he truly wants to do force to be the perfect cookie with a perfect smile and until he snap and become a beast he use his plants to torment and terrified the one who always pressure him to be perfect and he say finally no longer have to be perfect I will go my own way I own nothing to those worthless cookies or the witches now they will all see what else can I do as he has huge creepy smile on his face as his laughts evilly as his plants attacks the cookies and earthbread and completely takes over even his appearance change to one he prefers he use a rose on his head then he becomes a beasts it has teeths and will turn into a huge rise monster by reader command headcanons please
Cream Oreo Cookie: This reminds me of a movie I once knew but I can't remember it :v
The First Ancient Cookie's:
Light Milk Cookie:
He was worried about you and was...upset with the witches and how they treat you
He doesn't appreciates the Witches pushing you to use your powers 24/7 just because you we're a powerful Ancient Cookie you still need rest
He would always makes excuses for you so the witches would let you rest
He will be there for you to comfort you if you ever needed it
Spice Cookie:
Seeing you tired and overwhelmed with work was enough to annoy The Herald Of Change from the Witches decisions to treat you like a lowly worker which never fails to BOIL his Jam
He would always so called "kidnap" you so the two of you can chat and relax in his temple
He makes sure you eat well and drink a lot and rested a lot by giving you a ton of food, drinks, blankets, pillows, stuff animals to cuddle with
Salt Cookie:
He disapproves with all of the Witches antics and how they use you
Your just a Cookie for The Witches sake! Just because you have a crunchy and hard dough doesn't mean you still can't break from exhaustion
He would also like Spice Cookie will "kidnap" you to get some rest
The two would go on for walks, or read a book under a tree or just enjoy the peacefulness of everything and relax
Plain Flour Cookie:
She has heard all of your wishes for peace and relaxation under a tree by a hill far away from your duties
She is always there to listen and give you advice
She also does not agree with the Witches Wishes of your time to give all of your energy and power of "Life" as they all say
If you ever need someone to cry your heart out she is here for you do not worry
Ephemeral Sugar Cookie:
Why would the witches force such a handsome Cookie like yourself to manual labor?
Okay maybe Manual Labor is a bit too much but it kind of looks that way from her eyes!
A Handsome and Magnificent Cookie like yourself should rest and have time for yourself to instead of letting yourself get over work like this!
She would always visit you and give you clouds to use as bed or pillows to rest on and relax alongside her!
She will wrap her wings around you as you sleep and at times hide you from the Witches so you can go and sleep for atleast 9 Hours or so
BEAST COOKIES:
Shadow Milk Cookie:
THIS, THIS IS THE REASON WHY IT WAS AN AMAZING IDEA TO LEAVE THE WITCHES BEHIND
This was there fault not yours...
If they weren't so pushy maybe this wouldn't have happened
But that's okay!
Now we can all have fun with our powers and use them for our OWN entertainment and not THE WITCHES
Burning Spice Cookie:
He was so glad that the two of you finally decided to leave those witches expectations and create your own fun
He would ask you to battle with him and spar just to see how strong you've gotten
He'll make sure to not burn your beautiful plants or work of art during those battles since he knows that you still love your plants and won't want for them to be burnt into dust even though you can always make some more
So basically he just uses his axe to cut through it
Silent Salt Cookie:
They had enough of the witches and how they treated you
So let's see what they think about the new you?
Causing chaos from left to right
You and Silent Salt Cookie we're an amazing team at the battle field
You would throw those wretched Cookie's up high to the skies as Silent Salt Cookie slice them off
Even though he doesn't talk now unlike the past
He would always bring you a head of a Cookie with it's head full of your favorite flowers in it to show his affection towards you
Mystic Flour Cookie:
The Witches always Take and Take and Take and Take
But now there's nothing to give and that's how Mystic Flour Cookie felt which is why she understands what you we're going through
Those greedy Cookie's wants there wishes to come through to the point they would crumble eachother
While the Witches never gave any care about you and how much work they weigh on you
So why not let them see how can one of the purest of Cookie can turn to the most bitterness ones
Eternal Sugar Cookie:
It wasn't fun or funny at all anymore seeing you all hurt and sad and stressed out from the witches
But seeing you now destroying those witches creations made her so damn happy for you
She even decided to join you in this masquerade of yours
She will never leave her little Cinnamon Roll behind to make all of this Cookie's Suffer!
She wants to have some fun too
Oh how she enjoyed it spending time with you with no Witches to interrupt your bond!
How Fun!

I get that this is me being a crazy himejoshi but it's amazing how anglophones have like... un-bechdel-tested Frieren, to the point that her sole personality trait is wistfully remembering A Guy. Her deep love of magic as not just a means of slaying demons, but as an artform? Her contributions to the analytical study of magical forms and collection of folk magics? The (female) master who instilled in her this love of magic as a living art, and through it love for life itself? The (female) protégée whom she's taken care of for longer than she travelled with Himmel, and through whom she really learned everything she now knows about the beauty of human ephemerality and capacity for rapid evolution? that's all just window dressing. It's just side stuff. Frieren's main character trait is Reminiscing About Guy

A CRESCENT LOVE, AN EPHEMERAL PASSION | joão félix sequeira.
summary: you and joĂŁo spent all the summer together. you even met his friends and brother. could this be the beginning of a crescent love or just an ephemeral passion? his friendship with his ex would ruin everything between the two of you?
author's notes: after the win against luxemburgo, where portugal national team set the record of goals, his ex just posted "mysterious" pics with floki, his dog. joĂŁo was also there, almost hidden, actually. we all know she always does it, never assuming anything maturely, but instigating the frustration of the fans who care about him and to make every gossip website and tv show talk about it, just like a teenager who wants attention would act. basically, this inspired me. i really don't hate anyone, by the way. even thought influencers who don't spread any impactful content and nepobabies with no talent and only standard beauty annoys me, i can't lie.
warnings: bad language (of course it's joĂŁo saying the words), chaotically humorous almost all the time, but also involving sadness and angst. implicit sex reference, i guess? maybe?
what do you feel when you hear my name? shame? embarrassment?
does your brain even bring you any sign or memory involving me?
do you ever think about me?
are your moments with her comparable to ours?
can we talk? can we communicate?
is it my fault? do you miss me?
your head was drunk for the whirlwinds of questions that piled up and get bigger, like waves. they seemed to be drowning you. the glowing light and peace of your woody brown gaze gives you triggers. his smile remains embedded, in your heart, an eternal home. the numbness and wrapping of his lips, every inch of his tanned skin and firm muscles being appreciated and admired by you. his hair was shiny, soft and full by the salty waters of the european beaches: always caressed for you. his laughs at you giving him the most silly and lazy hairstyles, with you pretending to be a professional who was filming your customer to tiktok.
âdo that pose! yes, your hand against your face! now, give me that playboy eye. just like that! youâre doing amazing, sweetie!â
when you get carried away in the game âwho am i?â and tried so hard doing the mimes, jumping excitedly and demonstrating your animation in a loud tone, before covering your own mouth and feigning naturalness, just to repeat the same instant acts.
when you made joĂŁo watch your random dances as soon as you won at uno and heâd tell how hilarious you were. when you cooked your regional foods and desserts for fĂ©lix, his brother whoâs hugo, alex â the photographer â diogo from the movemind channel and all of his friends. when he used to hold your face, rest his touch on your waist and thighs. tracing his fingerprints across your scalp, reveling in the ethereal smell of your hair, laying his lips against your entire face and stature, exalting you completely: from your ears, neck, collarbone, belly, legs and even your feet. being a gentleman, joĂŁo opened the car door for you, he intertwined the hands of you both in every single opportunity and helped you eat: having the cutlery for you to open your mouth and giving you support with the napkin. when you did his goal celebration. when the two of you invented a handshake, along with various inside jokes. for example, when joĂŁo posted many videos of him swimming and playing in the ocean.
âhey, flounder! âthe little mermaidâ? i loved it!â
âwhy am i not your ariel, tho?â
âwhy you didnât say youâd prefer to be eric of the real life?â
âgive me some respect, iâm the protagonist of this shit!â
âslay, king!â
you remember singing the songs that played in his car in the most chaotic way, using his hand as a microphone and taking the opportunity to kiss all over it and his fancy bracelets. you offered him affection biting his skin and enjoyed acting like his personal masseuse. you called him âmy prince of portugalâ.
âplease, donât become a stranger.â your last words, face to face. the intensity of the summer weeks of vacation, which were already ending, consuming you.
âyou know iâd never do that. look, youâre such a unique person, and even though weâre gonna go back to our busy routines, i still wanna keep you in my life. i still wanna be that close to you.â joĂŁo declared and they both found comfort in each otherâs arms. his perfume granted the beg leave and penetrated your lungs, giving you life. you felt like you shouldnât let it go, but there was nothing else to accomplish. you were single, so was he. you ask yourself if everything would be different. maybe if you had tried your lips once again: asking him to give a chance to them, to have more. to not leave what you went through, together, in the box of forgotten memories. would that really suffice, though?
"it's obvious that youâd choose the blonde influencer with light eyes, slender body and member of a rich family. the one who was with a formula 1 racer days before she went to meet you. before you just disappear from my life, without saying anything. the one that doesn't show an ounce of authenticity and, of course, affective responsibility. who am i in comparison to her?! right, joĂŁo?" your voice flashed the disparity of fragility and indignation, trembling hands clutching the phone.
ây/n, listen to me. youâd never understand it, okay? youâre not inside this relationship, me and her are. youâre seeing it from the outside, just like everyone else. yeah, she was hanging out and making out with other people. so was i with you. but then, some things changed.â john seemed to be busy. echoes of other people's voices ran through the call.
ânothing has happened between us since the vacation, joĂŁo. what doesnât make sense because i thought you were liking me. i only think about you!â you vented out and received silence. his answers tried to become existent and complete. he stammered, the audible sound of his familiar backwards cap being pulled off and his honey-colored hair being rubbed against his own fingerprints.
âdo you think i donât like you? holy shit, y/n. i even thought we could have so much more. a future together and everything. i think about you and i swear in the name of my family, and i already said that they mean the fucking world to me. the thing is: thereâs something that still keep me going back to her. i donât know if itâs because iâm with her since i was younger, butâŠâ
âjoĂŁo, this is emotional dependence. iâm sorry to tell you this, however, itâs necessary. i care about you. youâre so internally and externally beautiful, precious, successful and talented. you deserve better!â you interrupted him, stepping back and forth.
ây/n, i love her. when i looked at youâŠâ
âsheâs all that you see, right?â
âhm⊠yeahâŠâ fĂ©lix found himself in a bind. paralyzed, he remained without an answer for a while. the coldness of the material of his gold necklace touches his tongue: a way to combat the nervousness that generates the gnawed nails.
âmy toxic behavior wants to help and fix you so badly, but i know i canât get more involved than that. iâm not the one for you.â the words reproduced by yourself reinforced the fragmentation of your heart.
âj, baby⊠are you coming or not? iâm waiting for you, floki is waiting for his dad!â you heard that female voice call to him and realized the way that just this factor made his breathing destabilize.
âi think this is officially the end of whatever we had, joĂŁo. goodbye!â your voice was unstable and he realized it: sharp as deep, transparent and suffocating waters.
âi wish you the best, y/n. i apologize for not being what you expected, what you needed, andâŠâ
âcaralho, joĂŁo! que merda! (holy fuck, joĂŁo! what the hell?). come on, give me your phone!â the girl began to rant. her heels against the floor were exclamatory. she was running out of patience.
the call is over. again, you were superimposed on the ocean of blazing tears. you tried to convince yourself that everything went the way it was supposed to be.
but was it for real?

TrigunBookclub Afterparty!
Hello there! As bookclub winds down to a close, there a few things to announce:
Bookclub Afterparty!
Bookclub may officially be over, but the Trimax brainrot continues! There are some bonus comics, the Multiple Bullets anthology (with all its great and terrible stories), and some folks have fallen behind, have essays left to write, or have things they wanted to create or share and haven't had a chance. I myself fell behind since life has been a bit hellish on my end, I'm two volumes behind--and I don't seem to bethe only one in that position!
So, I want to invite people to keep using and watching the tag until the end of October! Discuss, share theories, thoughts, art, shout-out posts and ideas that you love, just have fun! You can discuss the entire series and all related materials--hell, you can even do a read/reread it if you want to. Whatever goes, so long as it follows the guidelines.
Bookclub 2.0!
I've been talking with the @trigun-manga-overhaul team, who we all know has the best Trigun manga translation out there--but it's about to get better with Overhaul 2.0! When it drops probably next year, it will be at the pace of a chapter a week, and I plan to run the bookclub during that time to celebrate! This gives much more time for discussion, comparing, analyzing, and keeping up with posts. Since it will be a longer reading time and it's round two, spoilers will be allowed, though I will ask that they be tagged.
I also highly encourage everyone to feel free to use the tag when the hardcovers from Dark Horse are released to celebrate and discuss!
Bookclub Archive!
Since social media has a tendency to be ephemeral at best, the lovely @versaphile has taken it upon themselves to archive the bookclub posts of everyone who gives permission for them to do so! This way you can binge meta and posts and find everything much more easily. You can find the archive here, and see an example of archived posts here. If you're interested in or okay with being included in the project, please contact @trigunreferencelibrary!
Bookclub Stickers!
Multiple people have talked about wanting a badge of honor for participating in/keeping up with bookclub, and I think that might be a bit tricky... but how about some stickers? I figure that this way, the shipping is affordable even for international folks since I've seen a good amount of people around the world participating and lurking! I'm going to try and find printing for as affordably as I can (if anyone out there knows any good distributors for smaller batch sticker orders, please shoot me a DM!), and it won't be something to profit off of--just in memory of a great time! The only thing is I have two options, and I don't know if either of them are even what folks want. So...
And that's all that I can think of for now! I'm a bit exhausted and run ragged at the moment, so feel free to ask for any clarification on anything. When I started this project, I honestly didn't think I'd get many if any people following through--I know people lose their focus easily (myself included). But instead it turned into a huge celebration of a beautiful manga that is finally getting the attention it deserves after kind of getting buried by time. I've met some absolutely amazing and brilliant people throughout this event, and I just want to say thank you to every single person who made a post, supported others, and/or just lurked. You guys are fantastic and made this an amazing experience.

Black B- PASS- Special Issue - The GazettE - NINTH Reference book - (part 3 - Members interview translation)
â Interviewer: Finally... after three years, a new original album!!
Aoi: Why are you trying to force the excitement? (laughs)
â Interviewer: Please donât tease me (laughs). Since this band interview will introduce the magazine, can you tell us your first thoughts upon completion?
Ruki: First thoughts? All I could think of was "death." There was nothing but death (laughs).
Uruha: (Laughs)
â Interviewer: Death, you say (laughs). So you felt utterly spent.
Ruki: It felt like a posthumous work.
Reita: (Laughs) When it was done, it felt like, âAh, we made it through.â When youâre extremely sleepy, itâs likeâŠ
Ruki: Turned to "nil" (laughs).
Reita: Yeah. And itâs amazing we finished in time.
Ruki: Anyway, I was thinking, "We have to make it in time!" But even when we did, it didn't feel like we could take a breather.
Kai: That's true. There was a sense of relief, but also a feeling of, âDid we really do everything we could?â (laughs). Now that some time has passed and Iâve listened to it repeatedly, I feel like we made a good piece of work. Of course, there were no issues (laughs).
Uruha: For me, after the mastering was finished and I listened to the final version, my first word was, âFast.â
â Interviewer: What do you mean?
Uruha: Itâs about 45 minutes long, but it felt shorter. Like, âThat was quick.â Even though we spent so much time on it, I thought, âIs that all?â (laughs). There was a sense of ephemerality in those 45 minutes.
Ruki: Your words just summed it all up... Thank you very much.
â Interviewer: No, weâre not done yet (laughs). What about you, Aoi?
Aoi: If I only talk about the moment we finished... it was like I passed out, and then it was over (laughs).
Reita: Thatâs right (laughs).
Aoi: But everyone really did their best. By the end, everyone was working purely on willpower. The mixing took a long time, working from noon to morning, and then starting again at noon. But those behind-the-scenes stories donât really matter to the listeners.
â Interviewer: Since youâre all saying it was that tough, does that mean this was the hardest production process ever?
Aoi: The production process seems to get harder each year. Not just the music, but everything we release takes a considerable amount of time.
â Interviewer: In recent years, itâs not just about judging the music but also doing more hands-on work yourselves, right?
Aoi: We want to release something we think is cool... because we are people who want to show everyone something we find cool. Itâs a natural flow for it to take time. Itâs not about how others evaluate it, but about showing everyone what we think is good. We want people to listen and feel it, so we get particular about it regardless of the time it takes. Of course, the workload varies, and we hardly saw each other towards the end, but being together for 16 years made it possible... Is it okay if we wrap up here?
â Interviewer: Hahaha! So, we're still in we're still in the introduction part (laughs).
Ruki: Please structure it with bold letters like this.
Reita: Shall we move on to the personal interviews then? (laughs).
â Interviewer: No, no (laughs). Let's go back to the topic. the GazettE is often seen as a band that emphasizes its worldview, but you are also a band that follows what you want to do at the time, making you quite free. From "TOXIC" to "DIVISION. BEAUTIFUL DEFORMITY," and "DOGMA," what direction were your desires headed in with "NINTH"?
Ruki: "DOGMA" was a conceptually strong album, so the songs had a certain direction. This time, we wanted to show that this is our ninth album, something that reflects our journey from the first album to now. Rather than focusing on a musical genre, itâs more about showing our life perspectiveâsomething that reveals the history of the GazettE.
â Interviewer: So itâs a condensation of the GazettEâs trajectory.
Ruki: Yes. Weâve done many things to get to this point, and now weâre straightforwardly showing that. Without aiming for a particular image or how we want to be seen, we wanted to say, âThis is the GazettE now.â
â Interviewer: When this kind of guiding principleâbeing both a theme and not a themeâwas presented, what did you all think?
Kai: It fit perfectly with being a theme yet not a theme. However, we didnât specifically discuss it like we did with the "DOGMA" concept.
Ruki: Yeah.
Kai: It wasnât something that could be understood simply. I kept wondering if there was something more to it. Of course, I knew it was our ninth album, but I initially thought the title âNINTHâ was temporary. But when it was officially decided that the title would be âNINTH,â my thinking shifted to what RUKI mentioned.
Ruki: Regarding each song, I think we were talking about their positioning in live performances, whether they were fun, intense, or whatever.
â Interviewer: I see. So, while it's full of aggression, there are also ballad-like, melodic, and melancholic songs.
Uruha: Yeah. At the initial stage, it was like deciding a setlist, keeping live performances in mind. That was always the foundation. Since the previous work "DOGMA" was such a strong image-driven project, we knew we werenât going in that direction again. We thought it would be natural to go in a more straightforward direction this time. So, we naturally came up with songs while considering live performances. As the songs gradually came together, we sometimes felt a certain atmosphere was missing and created new songs to fill those gaps. But the basic approach was natural.
Aoi: So, while we were mindful of live performances, there wasnât a clear overall vision. It was more about putting out songs and adjusting as we went along. Even when you talk about a âlive feeling,â there are many different forms that can take.
â Interviewer: So, as time passed, "NINTH" gradually took shape, and everyone started to share a concrete overall vision at the same time?
Uruha: Well, we might not have had a clear overall vision until the very end (laughs).
Aoi: Yeah, I think we didn't have one this time.
â Interviewer: Thatâs surprising. Didnât that make it more challenging?
Ruki: There was the difficulty of creating songs that fit, but we werenât particularly aiming for a unified world view throughout the album. When you listen from start to finish, the flow was already good. Itâs because we had âDOGMAâ that we ended up this way. Instead of a single story like âDOGMA,â this album is more purely about the current the GazettE.
Aoi: That's right. It's different from saying we have no concept.
Ruki: Exactly. If you ask if there's no concept, it's more like, "Hmm..."
â Interviewer: So, because you have 16 years of experience, you can naturally express whatâs inside and shape it into an album?
Ruki: Yes⊠So, it was like making a typical album. Creating a piece with a beginning, middle, and end. The title reflects this too. It's not about having some big overarching theme, like the title suggests, but rather each song has its own world, expressing what "the GazettE of 2018" is about, I suppose.
â Interviewer: I wonder if there's a deep meaning behind the word "NINTH" here.
Ruki: Well, that might have been typical for us in recent years. But honestly, I can't really say anything much about it this time (laughs).
Reita: Haha, yeah, that's true (laughs). Also, we've always been conscious of making something that shines in live performances, but I feel like that standard keeps getting higher each year. So, this album might just be a collection of things that meet that standard.
â Interviewer: When the songs started coming together, did you all naturally understand and play them in sync with each other?
Ruki: How was it?
Reita: In terms of being in sync... This time, we really only gathered for pre-production at the very beginning (laughs).
Uruha: Well, there were parts that went smoothly and parts that were challenging. But we introduced a system for smoother data exchange this time, which made interactions between members less stressful than ever before.
Reita: Yes, weâre fully modern kids (laughs). It was very convenient.
Uruha: In the past, weâd email files, and if you missed the email, it could be a problem. This time, we had a place where the latest data was always available, so we just had to check there.
Ruki: Certainly, when the members gathered, there was always the task of taking something home with you, so the process of finalizing things was probably less than usual.
Reita: And (with emails), sometimes when you tried to download the data, it would already have expired.
Ruki: That happened a lot.
Reita: But that doesnât happen anymore.
Uruha: It's hard to ask for a resend, so sometimes you just had to wait for the next one (laughs).
All: Hahaha!
â Interviewer: You wouldnât have to say, âSend it again,â which can delay things (laughs).
Aoi: Haha. But, it's really convenient, huh? Especially because corrections could be made quickly.
â Interviewer: It seems like this approach really suits the current state of the GazettE. Just from this segment, it sounds like everything went incredibly smoothly, but...
Ruki: Actually, it was quite difficult (laughs). Especially the process of producing the songs. Itâs like harvesting vegetables.
â Interviewer: I see, starting from planting the seeds.
Ruki: Yes. And the cooking after harvesting is quite challenging too, waiting for the final product to be good.
â Interviewer: So here we have 12 carefully selected masterpieces.
Ruki: Yes. There were some songs that weren't completed until the very last moment to ensure they were satisfactory. It's like that song from âKiteretsu Daihyakkaâ - âWhat happened to the cabbage?â (laughs).
â Interviewer: Which song was completed at the very last moment?
Ruki: âŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ Oh, it just smoothly went by. (laughs).
Reita: Ahahaha!
â Interviewer: Oops, I should have reacted more! (The interviewer was not familiar with the opening theme of âKiteretsu Daihyakkaâ called "Cooking March")
Ruki: It's okay. The 11th song, "ABHOR GOD."
Reita: That one was tough.
Ruki: It's the crucial part that leads towards the very end.
â Interviewer: I heard that the whole band composed this song together, which is rare for the GazettE.
Ruki: Yes. Because I was working on the lyrics, I wasnât able to join the band for that part.
Reita: Well, he was kind of like remote control (laughs).
Uruha: There were about three different versions... no, maybe more.
Kai: Yeah, there were more.
Reita: And in the end, it mutated suddenly.
All: Hahaha!
â Interviewer: I see (laughs). The sing-along chorus âWow - Wowâ is also fresh for the GazettE.
Ruki: I recorded that part after everyone had already heard it. I didn't have time to let them hear the demo, so I presented it after recording it, saying, "Here it is." On the contrary, I was curious about how the four of them had created it together. When I asked Uruha, he said, "REITA jumped around..." and "We made it so that it would be jumpable."
Reita: Well, I just jumped around. And the next day, I had muscle pain.
All: Hahaha!
Aoi: I watched the process closely without getting too involved.
Ruki: This part was handled by Kai, this was what REITA mentioned, parts where members were involved are well reflected, I think.
Reita: When I sent the data and asked, âHow is it?â RUKI responded with, âHow do you all feel about it?â (laughs). He wrote something like, "Are you guys having doubts?"
Uruha: Well, we were (laughs).
Reita: RUKI probably had a different idea in mind. It wasnât quite that⊠more likeâŠ
Ruki: Well, rather than differentâŠ
Kai: It was more like I received directions from RUKI saying, "I want it to feel like this," so I gathered up those keywords and started thinking from there.
Ruki: I thought it should be fun and intense, but the first sounds that came were quite maniacal. I thought, âOh, maybe theyâre struggling with it.â
All: Ahahaha!
Aoi: Especially these two (URUHA and KAI), they really felt responsible (laughs).
Uruha: We felt it, we felt it.
Kai: Yeah, yeah, yeah (laughs).
Ruki: When the song started to come together, it was quite dark at first, which made me feel a bit down.
Reita: (laughs) Sorry about that.
Ruki: There was just one phrase, an intro part in the original song. I personally thought, "Oh, that's good." So, I called and asked if it would be okay to use that as the intro.
Aoi: The rest was no good (laughs).
Ruki: No, no (laughs). We kept that part and just made the tempo a bit faster.
Uruha: Speeding up the tempo was tough.
â Interviewer: Thatâs really a collaborative process for a song.
Ruki: If you say so (laughs). It might look like we flipped the table.
Reita: It felt like someone just ate the strawberries off the shortcake.
All: Ahahaha!
â Interviewer: I see (laughs). That fun atmosphere can be felt in the sing-along parts.
Ruki: I thought it would be good to have that kind of vibe.
Aoi: So, itâs not us but the audience singing that part?
Ruki: I didn't think about it that far. Do you think theyâll sing it? In our case, even if we include such parts, our fans donât usually sing along.
Reita: Thatâs true.
Ruki: It's like with "Maximum Impulse.â The members' faces just get redder and redder.
Reita: Yeah, especially me (laughs).
Aoi: Oh, I need to listen to the new chorus parts.
â Interviewer: Yes, the new work seems to have a lot of chorus parts.
Ruki: Weâll verify it during rehearsal.
Aoi: Are there any parts that seem too difficult?
Ruki: I donât think there were any.
Reita: Well, you say that every time (laughs).
Aoi: Sometimes, if the rhythm is completely different while playing, itâs the most tricky part.
â Interviewer: I see. The new album also features melodious and emotionally charged songs with a straight beat, like "UNFINISHED," which might not have been possible in the previous album. Were you concerned that such impactful songs might overshadow others?
Ruki: No, not at all.
Aoi: Oh, we have a new perspective here.
â Interviewer: Oh, really? (laughs) Did you also have the intention of showcasing the original coolness of visual kei, which is your forte?
Ruki: No, we didnât have any intention of appealing outwardly. We just did what we thought was cool at the time. Things that might have seemed unconvincing or outdated before now feel better. Weâve always thought itâs better to be a band capable of various types of songs. After âDOGMA,â people might have assumed weâd continue in a certain direction, perhaps towards a more metal sound, but we didnât think that way at all.
â Interviewer: So, it wasn't intentional.
Ruki: Even if weâre good at something, itâs not intentional. On the contrary, sometimes we intentionally avoid certain things. During âDOGMA,â we purposely didnât include audience singing parts. So, this time, it's more standard, I suppose.
â Interviewer: Understood. And this time, you released the music video for "Falling," the practical opening track, ahead of the album. This is unusual for the GazettE, but it seems to show your unwavering confidence in the band now.
Kai: We werenât particularly conscious of confidence in the band, but when RUKI created âFalling,â we all recognized it as the prologue of "NINTH." We felt it was the beginning.
â Interviewer: Ah, so it's similar to the fans' perspective.
Kai: So for me, during the process of creating the song, I listened to "Falling" with the mindset that this is the prologue.
Uruha: And by not selling it, but instead choosing to release it for free, I think it definitely increased awareness. I think "Falling" was good because I heard that the evaluation of the song was high, which raised expectations for "NINTH." So, that song became a very good introduction, and I hope the album will continue to surprise with different approaches from "Falling" to "UNFINISHED." It feels like it was well-calculated, so it's ultimately alright.
â Interviewer: Showing a glimpse of the album in advance didnât have any negative impact; it made it more effective.
Uruha: Exactly. The album doesnât continue with the same type of songs, so thereâs no disappointment.
â Interviewer: Aoi, how do you feel about the songs lined up in the album?
Aoi: There were parts where it was difficult to grasp the overall picture until it was completed, but the final result is very satisfying. Honestly, I didnât expect it to fit together so well, but it turned out to be an album with a solid story.
Reita: Yes, itâs easy to listen to and has everything. We will perform other songs on the tour, but there wonât be any sense of discord when theyâre combined, and I think this is the current ideal form of the GazettE.
Kai: As for me, the process was unusual and we were pressed for time, so I had mixed feelings. There were moments of anxiety, but also relief when it was finished. This album is packed with those feelings, and itâs different from anything weâve done before. The process felt simultaneous with our emotions, rather than trying to catch up with them. The songs felt like they progressed alongside us, and I felt that strongly this time. Itâs quite refreshing.
â Interviewer: I see. How about you, Ruki?
Ruki: I poured a lot into each song, so I canât look at them objectively yet. I have strong feelings for each song. But I can say that I put everything into it. Even though we were pressed for time, there was no compromise. It was a situation where we either compromised or didnât sleep, and I think we managed to push through to the end. This applies to the staff and engineers as well. If I were in their shoes, I would have definitely quit. Normally, engineers don't stay overnight.
Kai: Haha, they might have felt like we were punishing them.
Ruki: So, I think what we've done up to this point won't happen again, and I feel like this album embodies that dedication.

wanna be clear that like I get WANTING to engage with stuff that you cant bring yourself to engage directly with. For most of my life, my OCD made it nigh impossible for me to engage with most horror, or anything with sexual themes/violence. There's games with themes and messages that sound amazing, that I feel wouldn't be a complete experience if I don't play them myself, and that I know I won't ever play. I ravenously enjoy other people's discussion and analyses of these things, but I know I'll never know everything I want to without experiencing it for myself. And either someday I manage to pull through and do it myself, or I just live in secondhand fascination.
Argh, I'm trying to explain why I don't find this depressing because it just sounds depressing!!!!!! But it's not!!!!! It's the beautiful ephemerality of experiencing art!!! It's intense appreciation for every piece of art you HAVE experienced, and how impossible to imitate those experiences all were!!!!!!!!!!! It's Courtly Love for a piece of art!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I know I've talked a lot about robbed experiences, but on principle I DO see value in every way a person can uniquely experience art. But I can still have a preference based on my OTHER principles....and that preference is really just consuming the source material for fan work at SOME point, the ORDER isn't even that important to me, I just think it's always worth the effort to understand things as fully as possible. I'm talking in circles again. Thanks for listening to me philosphize about art for the 20th time

Wow, that was a challenge.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people made their own versions of snake!Korekiyo. Totally different looks, stories, personalities.... It's amazing how persistent the concept is. A single idea arises in many different heads at many different times. The very beauty of humanity, right?
I was not inspired by anyone else to create my own version (or, more accurately, @julia-bunncat's and mine), but I wanted to pay homage to those who came before me. So I tried to draw everyone I could find, and this is what I got. A few messy sketches ahah. The designs belong to the following people, in order (if I'm wrong, please correct me): 1: @cowbov
2: @ephemeral-darkness
3: @danganronpa-mm-au
And the last special one. I wasn't sure if it could be called a snakeâŠ.. But I really wanted to try and portray this intricate design by @snellyfish. Your artwork is amazing, guys. I hope you're doing well.
That's how it is. I'm sorry if I disturbed anyone, I had good intentions rlly ^^;;

OC Insight: What Kind of Love Are You?
Take this uquiz as your OC and share your result!
thank you @khywren for tagging me because this uquiz has me WRECKED âš
Love as the Dawn
Pastel, saccharine and hopeful, your love rises slow to greet the day. It tiptoes on doe feet and blossoms bit by bit, petal by petal. Love is new to you, isnât it? A fresh discovery in a world you do not quite understand. Your love loves with bated breaths. Your love swoons and sighs and lingers under awnings. Your love romanticizes. Your love aches as tenderly as a bruise. Youâre swollen with desire and idealizations. The perfect kiss, the perfect touch, the perfect partner in life. Your love is wide-eyed and innocent, naive and pristine and oh, so very easily breakable. Being loved by you is to be loved by a child, by a lamb, wooly-eyed and helpless. Oh. I really hope it lasts.
I mean I guess this is a pretty decent match. It's not like the series name for to eden is 'at first light', or like I've written multiple act 3 romance scenes that take place at dawn containing two idiots together under beauty of a new sun as it rises over them in their shared affection.
Itâs not like Iâm writing about two absolute fools learning how to love and enjoy the beauty of intimacy or how precious devotion can be or anything like that.
Definitely has nothing to do with how they fall in love under the cover of the darkness but their love blossoms into something to be held softly during the sanctity of dawn, as fresh and ephemeral like morning dew on the petals of an iris.
Not at all.
Couldnât be me.
(Donât worry they'll still bitch at each other, they will just be holding hands while they do it đ·)
ANYWAY I'm going to taggggg @elinorbard @ladyduellist @inkymoonbunny @xxnashiraxx @preciouslittlebhaalbae and literally anyone else who sees this and wants to do it because tbh this quiz is amazing
#whispered and sweet and covetous#oaths and devotions only to be spoken breathlessly under the warmth of the coming sun#i could go on and on about this#but i suppose i shall have to save it for the actual story#fic: to eden#verbenaa writes things!#tag games

Surprises
Weâve all heard the hypothetical,
Your out somewhere, a bar, a party, the park maybe,
Letâs say the park,
You see the most beautiful woman you have ever seen.
You approach her and god sheâs even more stunning up close.
Everything about her is thrilling, you talk for a while, sheâs funny, youâre funny, sheâs hot, your- well sheâs talking to you.
Somehow after you ask her she gives you her phone number, and itâs a real one too, later that night when you text her she responds
âhello handsome<3â
You talk for a week or so and you are intoxicated. Everything about her is perfect, sheâs smart and funny, well read, she likes things you like,
she just,
sheâs just
Sheâs perfect.
Youâre going to meet Friday. She agreed to a date on Friday.
Itâs the longest week youâve ever lived through but now itâs over.
Sheâs in front if you. at this fancy restaurant down town, her request. Itâs more expensive then you normally do for first dates but sheâs not a regular first date.
Sheâs divine, sheâs ephemeral.
She looks impossibly beautiful in a dress and heels,
She doesnât âclean up Wellâ
she blossoms, and thrives in sophistication.
You feel underdressed.
youâre in a suit.
Suddenly youâve been sat talking with empty plates for hours.
She checks her phone, she says they close soon, that you both need to leave.
You ask if you can drive her home, you want to spend more time together.
She laughs, she asks if youâd pay for her ober to get it in the morning.
You say you will.
You have a small car- She isnât mean, leans on your arm as you drive.
âThis is it,â she says quietly,
You tell her she was ethereal, as, she was.
She smiles and before you can think her mouth is on yours.
Youâll never kiss another woman again.
How could you?
Sheâs it, sheâs the one.
You hold the kiss a little longer than she anticipated but she indulges you.
She likes you too.
She has work in the morning, she tells you. Her lipgloss is delicious, it hangs on your lips as she talks.
She wants to see you again, soon, are you off Tuesday?
You arenât, you say you are though.
âItâs a date then,â
she blows you a kiss before closing the car door.
Youâre a mess all night thinking about her.
in the morning you text her, you have too to sent the money anyway.
You say she was amazing, youâre so excited to see her.
She thanks you, asks if youâd want to come over tonight at her place
âŠAt her place
âŠAt her place?
âŠAt her place!
The day wonât pass quick enough but soon your there, showered, shaved, condom in pocket-
You want to be ready incase she is implying what you think she was implying- what you hope she was implying
She answers the door and⊠oh my god you thought youâd seen her best.
You were wrong, dead wrong.
she takes you inside,
Water? No thank you,
In the hall now, she doesnât really have much of a living room, she explains, sheâs rather watch a movie in her room if thatâs ok with you.
It is.
She puts on a movie but you both donât watch it. Sheâs staring at you, youâre staring at her.
She pauses the film and kisses you again.
Itâs even better than the first. She breaks away for a breath and goes in again, a third,
Then forth, fifth, sixth.
You should stop keeping count.
Soon youâre both taking clothes off.
But this is the snag.
You remember this is a hypothetical right?
When she, well, reveals herself to you, itâs not what you had expectedâŠ
From your expression she can tell
âOh my god,â she says, âI thought- Iâm so sorry I thought you knew.â
She explains that she never got by before she had her chest done but- well with that and the hormones she must have- but she never has before! She never tried to trick you, she thought you- she promises you can just do above the belt stuff if youâre uncomfortable- or nothing at all! you can go if you want, she understands
âŠ
So what now?
What will you do then?
Would you kill her? Or beat her? Run out of her home and spit on her front door as you leave?
But you love her, you are forgetting you love her- Thatâs a very important part of the hypothetical,
you are in love with her if you are in love with her, more in love with her then anyone else you have ever been in love with what would you do?
âŠ
Fine, Iâll tell you.
You cut her off about you leaving,
You wonât leave, why would you?
There is not reason to leave?
She says there is a reason, a very good reason thatâs she understands-
You cut her off again. You came here for her. You came here for all of her. Youâve never thought about- or wanted.
Her brow furrows
Expected, you correct, being with a women like her. But youâre excited youâll be with her, thatâs why you came, because you wanted to be with her and now you are and you still want to.
Itâs a surprise, yes.
But you came for her, and you wanted her.
And you do still want her.
She asks if youâre sure,
You are,
and then it happens.
The most beautiful of things happens.
You and her make the most perfect love youâve ever made with any women ever.
And you sleep over for the night,
Sheâs off work the next morning, and so are you, you make her breakfast.
And soon itâs your honeymoon, and your making her breakfast,
Then your one year anniversary
Then your second, third,
Tenth,
Twentieth,
Fortieth,
You never stop counting those, the anniversaryâs
Youâre both old and gray now, but she still shines like the sun when she looks at you.
And you still make her breakfast. Every morning you can.

hi, could i get some recommendations for ttrpgs with strong worldbuilding that can be played solo?
i'd especially appreciate something in a sort of cyberpunk dystopia setting, but that's optional, really- any kind of fantastical setting is fine by me :)
THEME: Solo Worldbuilding
Hello friend! Not much in the cyberpunk setting specifically, but I've got a rec or two for you!
Exclusion Zone Botanist, by Exuant Press.
YOU ARE AN EXCLUSION ZONE BOTANIST.
GET IN. DISCOVER AND DOCUMENT. GET OUT.
Officially it's known as the North East Unified Containment & Sylvan Exclusion Zone 502-H, but everyone in the Bureau just calls it the EZ. The heavily forested 103 km2Â area has been sealed off for years, slowly mutating the land, and anything that dares enter its borders.Â
Created for the One-Page RPG Jam 2022 and inspired by The Colour Out of Space by H.P. Lovecraft and Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer (@jeffvandermeer). Exclusion Zone Botanist is a solo drawing hex crawl game. In this game there are no hit points or skill checks. You are exploring and drawing. Each in-game hour you'll be walking deeper into the dark forest of the Exclusion Zone, hunting for new and unusual plants. If you discover one, you'll stop to sketch it in your notebook along with a description and name. Â
This game is has concise rules and a hex crawl to guide your character as they search for unusual plants. You play on a clock, creating and documenting plants as your character ventures further and further away from safety and the chances to return unharmed. Youâll primarily be designing the plant life of the zone, but the plants of this area may become a stepping-stone to a broader design of the world itself!
Journey, by Graycastle Press.
Itâs time to leave on a grand adventure. Are you ready?
Journey is a solo roleplaying game that puts you in the role of an explorer in the worlds of your own creation. Discover new details of these amazing places and gather new inspiration from what you find. Journey is both a useful exercise in creativity and an enjoyable gaming experience. This book is a new tool of imagination, a vehicle of creativity that has the capabilities to guide you deeper into the ephemeral locations and spaces of your own creation and help give them greater depth and form in both your mind and work.
This is a game that allows you to decide the setting before you get started, and can include an entire planet, or a single room. You will also create a traveler who will travel through this world, detailing it as you go. Journey can be played solo or as a group, rolling dice to determine the types of people, places, and things that you can explore, called Waypoints. These Waypoints will be filled out using prompts generated by drawing cards from a deck. Using a combination of oracles and imagination, youâll find yourself with a unique world by the end of it!
Solstice Grounds National Park, by tallywinkle.
Solstice Grounds National Park welcomes you. Breathtaking mountain views, sandy beach, and an expansive forest: there is so much here to explore.
Solstice Grounds is a solo journalling game where the player visits a beautiful and bizarre national park. It uses a simple journalling system, providing keywords and weather prompts, and a hex grid map to spark your imagination; you're sure to have a memorable time in the park.
Using a combination of keywords and a hex grid, each new place on the map is an opportunity to describe the world around you. This game is a twist on Evergreen Wilds, which is also a solo game about park exploration, without the inclusion of strange or bizarre happenings. This is great for an explorer who likes their nature with a little bit of whimsy.
Winsome Heartwood, by The Spinel.
You awake in an old lodge, in the centre of a housing estate beside the sea, with no memories of the estate or how you got there. Nothing about this place seems right, like a world viewed via an angled mirror. Welcome to Winsome Heartwood.
In this solo table-top RPG you will explore the Winsome Heartwood estate using a single D6 and a standard 52 card deck - searching through its buildings, mapping its roads and recording the experiences you have.
This is both a map-making and a journaling game. You will start at the lodge of the Heartwood, and travel the roads throughout the estate. Each new road will spark a new roll on the d6, to determine the number of buildings around you. If you choose to enter a building, you will mark it on your choral, and roll to see if you find something. If you do find something, you reveal a card from the deck to determine what it is you find. The end of the game is determined once you reveal all of one kind of face card, and depending on the face cards revealed, the ending will differ.
High and Low, by Julian.
A Cyberpunk roleplaying game for 1+ players. You play an elevator moving all kinds of people up and down a high-rise. You need a standard deck of playing cards and a six-sided die.
While High and Low is very simplistic when it comes to mode of play, I can see a potential for world-building when it comes to creating the characters who step into the elevator, as well as the advertisements you will generate for each passenger. You can ask yourself questions about the kinds of jobs or daily routines of the folks using the elevator, as well as fill out parts of the world according to the ads you decide to create. Itâs worth checking out!
Voyage, a Mapmaking Game, by Brendan McLeod.
Set sail! Voyage is a mapmaking game about a journey across the seas. Catch the wind, make discoveries, and draw your map as you chart your voyage. Will you discover an uncharted island? Dangerous pirates? Haunted treasure? A big whale?
Voyage is written to be played either on your own or with any number of your friends, and works well as a standalone game or as a side game in the middle of an ongoing campaign.Â
This game uses a deck of cards to provide details about people and places, while the d6 tells you something about your sailing conditions. You (or your crew) will describe the kinds of events they experience and how each event plays out, providing a narrative alongside the world-building experience. If you want a game that gives you a detailed ocean with treasures, memorable characters, and various ports of call, you might want to check out Voyage.
A Visit to San Sibilia, by Jimmy Shelter.
This city never changes, this city never stays the same. Close to the coast in a river delta, San Sibiliaâs sprawling districts are connected by rambling trams and ramshackle ferries. You may have read about San Sibilia once in a 20-part encyclopedia in a dusty shop around the corner, but havenât been able to find the bookstore since.
A Visit to San Sibilia is a solo journaling game in which you roleplay a character chronicling their visit to the city of San Sibilia. It is a city not found on any mapsâSan Sibilia is both part of and distinct from our world. The city manifests itself differently to every visitor.
This game follows the story of a singular character, unveiling the strangeness of a city that jealously guards its secrets. You are creating a world through the experiences of one person, with the conceit that the city presents itself differently to each person. This might make for an interesting replay, if you choose a different kind of person for your second play through - and the city might grow and change with each person who visits.

I have hardly dreamed since she left, the feelings kept inside me because she never saw them, nor wanted them in reality, she preferred a life filled with only trivialities, I never understood the reason to exchange what we had achieved, for what life offers only in ephemerality, I am not of this world I always told her, I am yours and only yours, but she did not want someone for herself, forever, she said with a sarcastic smile on her face, it was a lot of responsibility, and she was irresponsible, but today I dreamed that I was surrounded by thousands of people, my notebook of poems and I, reciting the most beautiful poems and texts that left everyone amazed, it was beautiful to be listened to attentively by so many people, out of nowhere the dream turned into a nightmare, they did not boo me, or anything like that, they just kept leaving, whispering more and more and going in another direction, out of nowhere it was just a man with his notebook reading to solitude, I stopped, cried a little and went towards the others, suddenly a new poet, if it was It would really be good to listen and applaud someone who caught people's attention so much. I arrived and there was a gigantic crowd, a real sea of ââpeople, and there in front was a very simple man, too far away to hear what he was saying, but I heard clearly when everyone was repeating something that had to do with a blue pen. What really matters in our lives after all, texts, rhymed poems, verses, thought out in the most different letters, or a man repeating the word pen several times?
