i feel so embarrassed appreciating a male but i guess desiblr here knows who aman gupta (co-founder of boat) is. now idk him as a person or his wife or anyone in his life but one thing i must say about this guy is i actually really like how he talks about his wife.
it’s really quite refreshing to see a male acknowledge his romantic partner as a person with her own interests and lives and not just a romantic interest in his life. absolutely a big fan of that isb interview of his where he says his wife was also on campus and made friends with other students’ spouses and that is how he ended up befriending those students as well.
i’m so sorry for saying this lol but i genuinely felt very nice after watching that interview of his.
[disclaimer: this is not a post asking women to give males a chance. if you practice female separatism in your everyday life (i do too), don’t change a thing. it’s the most liberating. but if you are with a shitty partner, know that you can do better than him at least. or more appropriately, he can be better, he just does not want to].

Peyush Bansal – Co-founder and CEO of Lenskart
Peyush Bansal is the co-founder and CEO of the leading eyewear brand, Lenskart. He is one of the most passionate entrepreneurs who abruptly quit his stable job in America and came to India to start his own venture in the eyewear industry. His aim – address the problem of visual deprivation on a global scale. Starting out initially with just contact lenses, Lenskart now deals in eyeglasses, sunglasses, and more. Peyush has recently become a popular face on Indian television after his appearance as one of the sharks in the famous TV show, Shark Tank India.
Lenskart co-founder Peyush Bansal, who appeared as one of the ‘sharks’ on the hugely popular debut season of Shark Tank India, recounted his journey on the show, and how he played hard-to-get initially. In an appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast on YouTube, Peyush said that after being courted by the producers, and even appearing for an ‘audition’ process, he hadn’t signed the contract until the first day of shoot.
Peyush said that he was concerned if his work will suffer, as he couldn’t even find time for scheduled meetings, let alone filming an entire season of a reality show. He revealed that he ‘kept delaying’ the signing of the contract even after arriving on set.
“When day one happened, I still hadn’t signed the contract. Pitchers were coming in, and it was then that I started having fun. So, I signed on,” he said. Asked if he would’ve bailed on the show if he didn’t enjoy the first day of shoot, Peyush said that he had given them his word, so he wouldn’t have quit, but he wasn’t confident about the whole enterprise.
After being approached for the show via his co-founder, Peyush said that he had apprehensions. But he found himself hooked on to the original American version during a trip to the Maldives with his wife, and then during a bachelors party that he attended. “We were in the Maldives for three days, and all three days I was watching Shark Tank, with the ocean in front of me,” he said.
Peyush also spoke about having self-doubts. He said that he doesn’t think he’s the ‘right person to give advice’ to aspiring entrepreneurs. “I genuinely feel that advice is overrated and it can do some harm to good entrepreneurs,” he said.
Tumblr media
Peyush became a household name after the show, along with his fellow ‘sharks’ Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Ghazal Alagh, Aman Gupta and Ashneer Grover. A second season is in the works.

Hi hi! Love how you are always so warm and sweet in all of your answers. During the dabba service episodes, we notice that Arnav doesn’t like when his employees call Khushi “khushi bhaabi”, rather than “khushi madam”. Why is that? It’s the contract marriage period where he claims to hate her so much that he could have literally given zero shit about what people calls her. But he always made sure Khushi is given enough respect by others and his family members, even though every now and then he would give her a taste of what it feels like to live in hell. During the contract marriage period, I always felt it was more like “Hey I will treat you like garbage whenever I want but everyone else must treat you right”. He would also make her cry with harsh words but whenever she got hurt by someone else, he couldn’t take it. Isn’t it hypocrisy? Would love to know your opinion! Thank you.
Hello dear!
Thank you so much for your sweet words :)
Arnav likes authority and he makes sure that the lines of authority are very well established. It's how he works in office. Yes, there's a lot of transparency but there's no questioning who is the boss.
Khushi is the exact opposite - she treats her colleagues like family. Arnav treats them as his employees.
So when his employees are calling Khushi as 'Khushi bhabhi' then it means that they're referring him as 'bhaiya'. Arnav immediately dislikes that and makes sure they all call Khushi as 'madam' to reaffirm who she is through marriage and keep that distance with his employees.
The only person though, who calls Khushi 'Bhabhi' and Arnav doesn't mind it much is Aman. It's why I often theorize Aman to be much closer to Arnav in terms of friendship where Arnav is fine with Aman being personal with him and his family.
Arnav is extremely private. He'll allow only a few strangers to use family terms for him and his wife and his employees are not one of those people.
He's completely fine when the whole of Laxminagar calls him 'Jijaji' or ‘damaad ji’- because they know him through Khushi. Or when the Prakashes call Khushi as 'bhabhi' because he is their 'bhaiya'.
I don't think he's giving extra respect to Khushi, I think he's reaffirming his distance with the rest of the office.
And, Arnav does not like it that Khushi immediately starts treating his employees like family because they are not. And that's how Khushi often disarms people.
Also Arnav is not as much as Advay - who lives and breathes on 'I can hurt you but no one else' (which is toxic AF).
Arnav does not like it if Khushi is being punished for things she is not responsible for. Or worse, he's responsible for.
He hated it when Garima slapped Khushi because that was completely uncalled for. Or when Mami was insulting Khushi left and right for the elopement when it was evident Mami was utilizing this opportunity to vent her distaste of the Guptas.
He's quiet when Nani asks Khushi to not meet Anjali even though it hurts Khushi because Nani was right, Khushi meeting Anjali post the whole kidnapping would serve Anjali as a trigger and lead her down to self harm - and that exactly happens.
If anyone ever hurt Khushi because of her fault, I don't think Arnav would step in then. He's very much into "punish people because they deserve it."
Wow, this turned into an analysis! Good question Anon!
Best,
- JWB

Mira Nair, Naseeruddin Shah among 300 signatories extend support to students protesting CAA-NRC: ‘Our silence ends now’ - bollywood
Tumblr media
More than 300 prominent individuals, including filmmakers Mira Nair, Nandita Das, actors Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Jaaved Jafferi, Homi K Bhabha, Partha Chatterjee, Anita Desai, Kiran Desai, TM Krishna, Ashish Nandy, and Gaytri Chakravorty Spivak, among others, have signed an open letter, expressing their solidarity with the students of India who have been protesting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and against the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Extending their support to the students, the signatories said in their letter, “We stand in solidarity with the students and others who are protesting and speaking out against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and against the National Register of Citizens (NRC). We salute their collective cry for upholding the principles of the Constitution of India, with its promise of a plural and diverse society. We are aware that we have not always lived up to that promise, and many of us have too often remained silent in the face of injustice. The gravity of this moment demands that each of us stand for our principles.” Also read: Shah Rukh Khan: ‘I am a Muslim, my wife is a Hindu and my kids are Hindustan’. Watch video Here is the complete text of the letter: An open statement from members of the Creative and Scholarly Community in IndiaWe are artists, filmmakers, writers and scholars. Our work reflects people’s lives, struggles and hopes. We offer our dreams to everyone. But what dream can show us the way in the midst of the present nightmare? Our vision for this nation demands that we speak up now, in the name of our democracy and the constitution that protects it. We stand in solidarity with the students and others who are protesting and speaking out against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and against the National Register of Citizens (NRC). We salute their collective cry for upholding the principles of the Constitution of India, with its promise of a plural and diverse society. We are aware that we have not always lived up to that promise, and many of us have too often remained silent in the face of injustice. The gravity of this moment demands that each of us stand for our principles. The policies and actions of the present government, passed quickly through parliament and without opportunity for public dissent or open discussion, are antithetical to the principle of a secular, inclusive nation. The soul of the nation is threatened. The livelihoods and statehoods of millions of our fellow Indians are at stake. Under the NRC, anyone unable to produce documentation (which, in many cases, does not exist) to prove their ancestry may be rendered stateless.  Those deemed“illegal” through the NRC may be eligible for citizenship under the CAA, unless they are Muslim.Contrary to the stated objective of the government, this does not appear to be a benign legislation, only meant to shelter persecuted minorities. The list of exclusions seems to indicate otherwise. Why are minorities from other neighbours like Sri Lanka, China and Myanmar excluded? Isit because the ruling powers in these latter countries are not Muslim? It appears that the legislation believes that only Muslim governments can be perpetrators of religious persecution. Why exclude the most persecuted minorities in the region, the Rohingya of Myanmar or the Uighurs of China? This legislation only acknowledges Muslim perpetrators, never Muslim victims. The aim is transparent: Muslims are the unwelcome Other. This is state-sanctioned religious persecution, and we will not condone it. In Assam and the Northeast, and in Kashmir, the indigenous identity and livelihood is threatened as never before, and we will not condone it. The response of the government and law-enforcement agencies to the distress of its citizens has been callous and high-handed. India has seen the most Internet shutdowns of any democracy in the world. Police brutality has left hundreds injured, including many students from Jamia Milia Islamia University and Aligarh Muslim University. Several citizens have been killed while protesting. Many more have been placed in preventive detention. Section 144 has been imposed in numerous states to curb protests. We need look no further than Kashmir to see how far this government is willing to go to suppress democratic dissent. Kashmir is now living under the longest Internet shutdown ever imposed by a democratic government. Enough is enough. Those of us who have been quiet in the past, our silence ends now. We will be clear-sighted in our dissent. Like our freedom fighters before us, we stand for a secular and inclusive vision of India. We stand with those who bravely oppose anti-Muslim and divisive policies. We stand with those who stand up for democracy. We will be with you on our streets and across all our platforms. We are in solidarity.” Here is a list of some the signatories: Rahman Abbas, Anvita Abbi, Ajayan Adat, Ramona Adhikari, Faraz Ahmad, Anvar Ali, Zaheer Ali, Lalitha Alilu, Shimit Amin, Jyothi Ananthasubbarao, Vidya Das Arora, Sushila Bahanda, Vikas Bajpai, Ritwik Banerjee, Sudeshna Banerjee, Sumanta Banerjee, Susan Barton, Aamir Bashir, Amit Basole, Rakhi Basu, Dev Benegal, Homi Bhabha, Amit Bhaduri, Madhu Bhaduri, Nabakumar Bhattacharyya, Akeel Bilgrami, Rani Day Burra, Sundar Burra, Meena C. The "gentleman's" sport, cricket is often surrounded by controversies that completely go against all that the sport stands for. From spot-fixing, to personal scandals, cricketers are privy to everything. Most of these sportsmen are have led pretty promiscuous lives. Find out about their scandalous lives right here.
Disclaimer: itimes does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any information's, content or contained on, distributed through, or linked, downloaded or accessed from any of the services contained on this website. There are secrets of the biggest playboys of cricket given below: -
Imran Khan with Jemima Goldsmith
One of Pakistan's greatest cricketers, and greatest womanisers, Imran Khan has had a pretty happening life. He has always been embroiled with female attention. Imran's marriage to a 22 years younger Britain heartthrob, Jemima Goldsmith had the world shocked. Some say that it was Jemima who lured Imran into marrying her after she got pregnant, much to the disappointment of his thousand exes in Pakistan.
Zeenat Aman and Imran Khan's relationship
During a certain tournament in India in the 80s, the cricketer also managed ot woo Zeenat Aman. Cricketers recall teasing him for being weary during a practice match, after spending the whole night out with Zeenat. During his Oxford days, he would work hard on the field in the morning and then go on to give heed to the attention he was getting from women. One such undergrad also feigned interest in cricket to be close to him!
Imran Khan with ex-wife Reham Khan
But his conquests weren't only limited to his younger days. The cricketer-turned-politician also managed to date a much younger anchor, Reham Khan and then went on to marry her in 2015. But, the two got divorced 9 months later, when Reham claimed that he wasn't actually in love with her and would suppress her and make her do all the "womanly" things at home.
Tumblr media
Yuvraj Singh with Kim Sharma
Yuvraj Singh's found himself in Imran Khan's 'playboy' boots after the media reported his many affairs. A prominent one out of them was his affair with Kim Sharma. The two broke it off in 2007, with Yuvraj claiming that it was because of her 'obsessive' nature, while others saying it was because Yuvraj's mother didn't like how much Kim "exposed" on screen.
Yuvraj Singh and Deepika Padukone's affair
Soon after, Yuvraj Singh made it to the Bollywood tabloids after being pictured with actress Deepika Padukone a number of times. His relationship with DP is said to have created rifts between him and MS Dhoni, because of the latter's liking for Deepika as well.
Yuvraj Singh and Aanchal Kumar
Yuvraj had been pictured a number of times with a number of different girls at cricket parties. One such Bollywood actress was Aanchal Kumar. But that's not all, Yuvi also tried to cosy up to Preity Zinta which led to her then-boyfriend Ness Wadia getting angered.
Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech
Yuvraj finally shed off the womaniser title after he decided to put a ring on girlfriend Hazel Keech's finger. The two dated for only a few months before they decided to get engaged.
Tumblr media
A young Vivian Richards
Former West Indies cricketer, Vivian Richards, had a reputation for being a womaniser. He was known to have been a heartbreaker and a number of reports claimed of his numerous extra-marital exploits while still married to Miriam Richards.
Vivian Richards and Neena Gupta
One such affair of Vivian's was with Bollywood actress Neena Gupta. During a trip down to India, the two hooked up. Vivian was still married when he got to know that Neena was expecting. The two decided to have a child out of wedlock - the now famous fashion designer, Masaba Gupta.
Shoaib Akhtar pictured at a party
Considered to be one of the most arrogant and womanising cricketers in Pakistan. He claims that his 'womanising' image came across only because of the media. But, reports of his conquests at parties claim otherwise.
Shoaib Akhtar and wife Rubab Khan
At 38, Shoaib Akhtar made news after marrying a 20-YEAR-OLD Rubab Khan in Pakistan! Repotrs had earlier claimed that he was actually marrying a 17-year-old girl from Pakistan!
Mohammad Azharuddin with his first wife Naureen
Mohammad Azharuddin had been embroiled in controversy for a long time. Whether it was him breaking his marriage with Naureen, because of numerous affairs or his spot-fixing scandal, Azhar has always been the grapevine's favourite cricketer.
Mohammad Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani
Mohammad Azharuddin triggered ripples in the media after marrying Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani in 1996, not long after diorcing his first wife. But, his alleged link-up with Jwala Gutta led to yet another divorce. Reports also claimed that he was getting married for the third time, something he has refused.
Chris Gayle with girls
Chris Gayle is probably synonymous with the word 'womaniser' especially after a number of female journalists came out to confess that he had hit on them. One such journalist went on to say "he's a creep and a womaniser. he does such stuff constantly.
Chris Gayle at a party
One look at his Instagram account and you know that the guy is a casanova. One woman also went on to confess that Chris Gayle actually "exposed his genitals" to her, in an attempt to ask her out.
Virat Kohli and Sanjana
Virat Kohli has been linked to numerous models in the past. From South actresses Sanjana and Tamannah to model Sarah Jane Dias, they all know of Kohli's philandering ways.
Tumblr media
Virat Kohli with Anushka Sharma
Virat Kohli was said to have shed off the womaniser tag when he fell in love with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. But, that relationship didn't last too long. After their break up, he allegedly went around a party asking random people to dance with him "I'm single, let's dance," were his exact words.
Virat Kohli with Izabelle Leite
Much after their 2-year-long relationship was it revealed that Izabelle Leite and Virat Kohli were dating. The Brazillian model went on to confess that she was dating the Indian cricketer, who kept hiding it. The media got a whiff of it when they were spotted together in Singapore.
Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley
Shane Warne's philandering ways came into the limelight when it was revealed that he allegedly 'harassed' a nurse, Donna Wright for sex. Another South African also claimed to have received dirty texts from the cricketer (both while he was married). Shane Warne then went on to date Elizabeth Hurley, who broke up with him because of his infidelity.

Wasim Akram and Sushmita Sen
Wasim Akram was first linked with Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. The two were filming a reality show togther when it was said that they became very close. While the two denied the rumours, it is largely believed that they had a short fling.
Wasim Akhtar with his wife
Wasim then went on to get married to an Australian PR woman, Shaniera Thompson who he had met while visiting the country in 2011. The two wed in Pakistan and moved to Karachi. He welcomed his third child with Shaneira in Pakistan.
Sourav Ganguly with wife Dona
Sourav Ganguly and Dona Ganguly were childhood sweethearts, but couldn't marry because their families were sworn enemies. The two eventually did get married in 1997 and had a child. All was well till Sourav allegedly had an affair.

Remembering Rajinder Singh Bedi famous Urdu writer of the progressive writers' movement and a playwright, who later became a Hindi film director, screenwriter and dialogue writer on his 102nd birth anniversary.
As a screenwriter and dialogue writer, he is best known for Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films Abhimaan, Anupama and Satyakam; and Bimal Roy's Madhumati. As a director he is known for Dastak (1970), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rehana Sultan and Phagun (1973), starring Dharmendra, Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Bhaduri and Vijay Arora.
Bedi is considered one of the leading 20th century progressive writers of Urdu fiction, and one of the most prominent Urdu fiction writers. He is most known for "disturbing" Partition of India tales.
After the partition of India in 1947, he moved to Bombay, and started working with D. D. Kashyap and got his first screen credit for dialogue, in the 1949 film Badi Bahen, although he received greater recognition for his second film Daag, a 1952 film.
In 1954, he joined with Amar Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Geeta Bali and others to create a new company called Cine Cooperative. In 1955, it produced its first film, Garam Coat. Based on Bedi's short story Garam Coat, starring Balraj Sahni and Nirupa Roy, and directed by Aman Kumar, the film gave Bedi the chance to write an entire screenplay.
Their second film, Rangoli (1962), starring Kishore Kumar, Vyjayantimala, and Durga Khote, was also directed by Amar Kumar.
He continued to display his range in dialogue writing styles in many classic Hindi films, starting with Sohrab Modi's Mirza Ghalib (1954), Bimal Roy's Devdas (1955), and Madhumati (1958); Amar Kumar and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films, Anuradha (1960), Anupama (1966), Satyakam (1969) and Abhimaan (1973).
He made his directorial debut with Hindi classic Dastak (1970), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rehana Sultan, with music by Madan Mohan, and in the following decade he directed three more films: Phagun (1973), Nawab Sahib (1978) and Aankhin Dekhi (1978).
His novella Ek Chadar Maili Si was made into a film in Pakistan, Mutthi Bhar Chawal (1978) and later in India, as Ek Chadar Maili Si (1986).
His son Narender Bedi was also a film director and the maker of films including Jawani Diwani (1972), Benaam (1974), Rafoo Chakkar (1975), and Sanam Teri Kasam (1982). He died in 1982, a few years after Bedi's wife. Thereafter, Bedi's health consistently deteriorated. He suffered paralysis in 1982 and died in Bombay two years later.
His short story 'Lajwanti' was made into a telefilm, by Neena Gupta in 2006.
