I was searching a specific anime song that I can't remember anything about except the feeling+part of the melody, but I got distraught and ended up watching Dream Festival's first chapter again.

Anyways, do you know what did I realize? The reason my mental image of Og!Cale always has his hair tied-up in a high short pony tail + bangs— THAT'S KANADE'S HAIR STYLE.

My silly brain must had thought 'oh, red haired boy with a big heart and bright smile? I know which one is' and decided they must have the same hairstyle.

Not a bad choice, tho. I like Kanade's pony tail.

Btw, the song I was looking for ended up being the opening of Norn9: norn+nonet.

A short Mizuki analysis (SPOILERS FOR MIZU5)

Alright where do I begin with this event honestly I really like how Colorful palette decided to take with this story as a whole and the way that they present the struggles of being trans especially for Mizuki who is identified as one so let’s do a deep dive on this event as a whole

Mizu1, Mizu2, and Mizu3 connections

So I’ll not be mentioning Mizu4 since that event is mostly set up for Mafu4 and felt less focus on Mizuki’s struggles being trans.

So as established by Secret Distance and Kamiyama Festival events, Mizuki is an outcast in their school. In Mizu5, we see Rui’s concern about Mizuki trying to tell Ena their secret, during Kamiyama, we know that Rui is technically the only friend that knows their secret of them being trans. Since we know that Rui already embraced that side of him it was only a matter of time that Mizuki will reveal it. During what lies ahead, Ena mentions to Mizuki to take their time when they want to reveal their secret. Personally I like how Ena knows most about Mizuki that she really wants the best for them and is ready to wait for a while for Mizuki to admit about themselves. Family wise, we got to know Yuuki, which is the person Mizuki is the most honest to. In both Mizu3 and the 2024 New years event, we see how she deals with the fact about her own sibling’s gender identity. She wants the best for Mizuki, even tho we barely got to know Mr and Mrs. Amamiya, with the small talk with Mizuki and their mom, implies that the parents are also supportive of Mizuki’s decision to transition from male to female. Yuuki really wants the best for Mizuki and that she was the reason that Mizuki decided to join nightcord. 

Mizu5 and some similarities to Mafuyu when it comes to samsa (LAST SPOILER ALERT) 

So during Mizu5 everything comes full circle. Let us focus on the ending of the event. Just a quick summary: after coming late to the rooftop due to their classmate’s injuries, two of Mizuki’s classmates told Ena that the secret Mizuki is hiding is the fact they’re trans. Mizuki, who just came in hearing what they told Ena, caused them to run away. Ena tries to ask Mizuki if anything is fine but Mizuki just says sorry and locks themselves out even being absent from any nightcord activity. Once finishing this chapter, Mizuki will only remain in the empty sekai. So yea that’s a lot but don’t worry this analysis will be simpler going forward. Mizuki is an excellent representation of people in the LGBTQ+ community whose main fear about their own gender identity, for their case is just to come out that they are trans only to get outed by others. The way Mizuki decided to cope with the situation make sense, they are ashamed for who they are but at the same time Ena still sees Mizuki as well Mizuki. As seen by the event cards, each of the members of nightcord are feeling lonely since Mizuki decided to be absent due to the incident holding a part of Mizuki’s ribbon. This parallels Mafuyu’s 4th focus event where the other members are holding a part of Mafuyu’s heart (the apple broach) trying to help her. Another parallel is also shown via the gacha showcase, using the 3dmv of Samsa. Just like the main protagonist of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis (the main basis of Kanade’s 3rd focus) Both Mizuki and Gregor’s decision to change to show their true self can have consequences similarly to Mafuyu trying to show her true self to Mrs Asahina. 

Conclusion 

This event is a great showcase on the fear of being outed and how Mizuki deals with it. Huge props to Colorful palette on how they present the story as a whole as well as the voice actors providing a great job in showcasing the characters.

okay !! now some basic info about the characters !!

on the kagerou project side, kenjirou and ayaka are ayanos parents, tsukihiko and azami are (sort of) married, shion is their daughter, marry is shion's daughter and rin is kido's half-sister, kido, seto, kano and ayano are foster siblings, marry is unofficially also part of the tateyama foster family, momo and shintaro are siblings uhh yeah

on the proseka side, akitoya is canon (sorry non akitoya shippers they fit the dynamic), emukasa is one-sided(tsukasa has a crush on emu), shihona is also somewhat canon (shiho likes honami but honami never explicitly states she likes shiho also before shiho can confess umm stuff happens), haruka and nene are siblings(they've probably never interacted in canon but they both fit the personalities), kanade and shizuku are siblings(none of the canon siblings are canon anymore)

one more thing !! because this was getting too proseka unrelated, the kagerou daze is a sekai that akitos fear of making his family suffer created, but it is completely empty of vocaloids !! the real world is also sort of a sekai, created by akitos desire to understand himself !!

Kanade: It’s as if he’s putting himself in the audience's shoes.

Kanade: That bad habit of his has stuck with him from those days, all the way until now.

MC: Oh gosh…

I gasped when I heard Kanade’s words.

(As expected, Kanade is aware of it too.)

== Flashback Start ==

Henri: Especially in high school, where I met Kanade and Kyoichiro.

Henri: I realized that no amount of hard work can make me on the same level as geniuses.

Henri: Up till then, I’ve been doing everything without really trying, so I can just continue doing so.

Henri: That’s what I told myself.

Henri: But I knew deep down that it was because I didn't want to hurt myself.

== Flashback End ==

I was thinking about what Henri said to me at the cafe, and…

MC: Um.

I looked up at the two of them.

I was about to ask what they felt about that, when—

Henri: Oh? MC is here too.

I turned around when I heard the living room door open, and saw Henri.

MC: Yeah. Kyoichiro invited me.

Henri: Eh— but you turned me down when I invited you—

Henri smiled and plopped down right next to me, as if that were the most natural thing to do.

Maybe it was his shampoo, but a sweet and refreshing smell coming from Henri’s hair wafted into my nose.

Henri: What were you guys talking about?

MC: Uhm, I was listening to stories about the three of you during your high school days.

Even while responding to his question, I was still feeling nervous because not only could I smell him, the distance between our thighs was so small that they were almost touching.

(Henri is sitting so close to me…)

As I gripped my hands tightly and placed them on my lap, Henri didn’t notice my reaction and continued talking.

Henri: You mean stories like the one about the legendary King Kanade who controlled the entire school, from its student council, all the way to even its teachers?

Henri: Or the one about a fight amongst the male students over Kyoichiro—

Kyoichiro: … Hey. How come I don't know about that one?

Kyoichiro raised his eyebrows, and Henri grinned happily.

Henri: Eh— the sports club and culture club were competing over who got to have you in their club.

Henri moved his face closer to me and whispered in my ear.

Henri: I’m not exaggerating, you know? It's a true story.

MC: O-Oh.

I felt a sweet ticklish feeling radiating through my body from my ear, when…

Kyoichiro: Henri. Instead of talking about other people, why don't you talk about yourself?

Kyoichiro said with a sigh.

Henri: Uhhh I don’t have a “legacy” like the two of you, so my stories are boring.

Kyoichiro: … You’re always saying that.

Kanade: Hm.

Henri then turned to me and spoke.

Henri: MC, are you… interested in hearing my stories?

MC: Yes! Of course.

Seeing my enthusiastic response, Henri’s face instantly lit up.

Henri: Got it~ Ah, but I genuinely have nothing much to share.

Henri: Hmm well then, a long time ago, I…

I felt my heart beating faster and faster as I listened to him.

(It could be because I’ve been drinking, but I'm being more aware about the close distance between us than usual…)

I couldn't seem to get used to the lack of distance between our thighs and shoulders.

(I should move away a little.)

Kyoichiro chuckled while listening to Henri’s story.

Kyoichiro: You’re the one who had lots of friends, Henri. Both guy friends and girl friends.

Henri: Ah— I wanted to make 100 friends in high school and eat onigiri at the top of Mt. Fuji with them.

Kanade: Mt. Fuji? What are you talking about?

Henri: Ehh— Kanade, you haven't heard this one before?

Kyoichiro: It's the lyrics of a childrens’ song.

Kanade: I see. Sing that childrens’ song for us, Henri.

Henri: Now!? I don't want to. Kyoichiro should sing it!

While listening to their lively conversations, I sipped the alcohol Kyoichiro poured me.

The three were chatting happily about their high school days.

(It feels great… listening to everyone’s stories about Henri like this.)

(I want to hear more!)

My heart was pounding with excitement, and the alcohol tasted better than usual.

Just like that, it was getting late into the night…

I was struggling to keep my eyes open.

Kyoichiro: Stop leaning on me, Kanade. Hey.

Kanade: … I’m not leaning on you.

Kanade’s groans and Kyoichiro nagging as he looked after a drunk Kanade could be heard in the distance.

(This isn't good… I’m getting sleepy.)

When my body started to incline and I was about to knock out…

Henri: Heeyy, MC.

MC: Mm… oh.

The moment I opened my eyes, I saw that Henri’s face was right in front of mine.

Henri: Are you sleepy?

MC: … No. I’m fine.

I quickly looked up and shook my head.

Henri: Eh—? Really? I thought you looked like you were about to fall asleep.

MC: Uh…

(I think I had too much to drink.)

Kyoichiro: Leave the tidying up to me, Henri. You too, Kanade.

Henri: Okay~

Henri responded cheerfully, reached his hand out towards me, and…

MC: Oh! Wah!

I exclaimed in a small voice when my body, which had been seated on the sofa just a second ago, was now in the air.

MC: What!?

All of a sudden, I was being carried in Henri’s arms.

(Is this a princess carry…!?)

Henri: I’ll carry you like this, princess.

MC: P-Princess!? Please put me down, I’m heavy.

Henri: Haha! It’s fine, it’s fine~

Just like how we helped the lost girl earlier in the day, Henri started walking with me in his arms.

(Is Henri drunk too!?)

No matter how many times I told him “put me down”, he would only respond with a smile.

I ended up being carried back to my room.

…

Henri opened the door to my room and entered.

He then gently lowered me onto my bed.

Henri: We’re here!

I heard the sound of the bed creaking.

While laying down, I looked up at Henri.

Henri: Hm?

MC: … I was woken up by you.

Henri: Haha

Disregarding what I said, Henri sat down at the edge of my bed and reached his hand out.

He gently caressed my forehead and spoke.

Henri: Do you need a lullaby?

Henri: Should I call Kanade over?

MC: N-No, thank you. … I can’t ask for such luxury.

Henri: That’s a luxury indeed.

Henri gave me a small smile and his fingers stopped moving.

He rested his hand on my temple.

The lingering feeling of his touch made me nearly forget how to breathe.

(This is so embarrassing and my heart is going crazy… )

After staring at each other in silence for a while, I heard the bed creak again.

Henri: Good night, MC.

Just as Henri was about to leave my room, I…

MC: … Wait.

Henri stopped in his tracks when I called out to him.

Henri: Yeah?

Henri’s voice sounded more gentle than usual, it felt pampering to hear.

He slowly walked back to me and looked into my face.

Henri: What’s up, MC?

MC: Henri… um…

Henri: Hmm?

MC: … You shouldn't… be so nice.

I told him my most honest words.

Henri: Why?

MC: I might get the wrong idea.

Henri: … Oh.

I heard Henri chuckle.

I wanted to remember it even more clearly, but the drowsiness got to me and my eyelids grew heavy.

I looked at the bright sun from my window while toweling my hair dry.

(I spent the whole day going on a date with Henri yesterday, and drank with everyone in SilverVine.)

My heart started hammering hard against my chest the moment I recalled those word that sounded so sweet like honey.

I changed my clothes and headed to the living room to calm myself down.

Henri had just finished his breakfast and was about to leave for work.

Henri: Oh. Good morning, MC.

MC: Good morning.

He was wearing his usual smile, but I briefly saw his facial expression stiffen.

(I knew it. That was just a dream.)

I kept trying to convince myself that it was just a dream, but I couldn't help looking away awkwardly…

MC: … Wah.

Henri suddenly touched my forehead.

I turned to look at him in surprise, and our eyes met.

His gaze that seemed to contain a hidden passion burning behind those eyes took my breath away.

(H-Huh…!?)

While I was stuck at a loss for words, Henri smiled.

Henri: I’ll get going now.

Most people I see draw Og! Cale with short hair, esp in regressor AUs and whatnot. And like I get that and I like the short hair but long-haired Og! Cale has a special place in my heart and I'm sad that we don't get to see him often.

This also coincides with how people draw fem! Og! Cale with short hair. Like, I can understand her originally cutting it to not burden her father but I'd like to think that if she had the choice, she would keep it long as a point of connection with her mother.

Tbh I haven't seen many fanarts of fem!Og!Cale, but I'm with you in this.

I prefer long-haired or medium-lenght-haired Og!Cale who styles his hair in beautiful artistics ways. Og!Cale who ties his hair in high ponytails with a brooch or a bun when he doesn't have time.

Og!Cale who uses Kanade Amamiya's messy ponytail bc he wants more cool/casual vibes.

Og!Cale whose bangs are blocking his sight and brush them casually with an annoyed sigh— because he's so exhausted damn it— and makes everyone in range have a sexuality crisis.

If it's about not causing his dad a heart attack: Og!Cale who does a Fii (mc from a LN I read a bit years ago) and ties his hair in a way that looks short but it's actually long, just hidden (or with a magic tool). So he can let it loose when he's alone.

This is the final Saimoe news bulletin for the International Saimoe League on The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue. Nearly two decades of memories, great battles and countless sagas in the Saimoe movement drew to a close with the conclusion of Match Day 8 in the 2022 International Saimoe League Eliminations Period.

The first of three Female Division necklaces up for grabs went to Mashiro Shiina, who defeated Violet Evergarden 3241-1550. Elaina was third with 1222 votes, Nao Tomori was fourth with 870 votes, Miko Nakano was fifth with 781 votes, Mai Sakurajima was sixth with 66 votes, Rem was seventh with 564 votes and Yukino Yukinoshita was last with 500 votes.

The second Female Division necklace went to Yui Yuigahama, who defeated Shiro 2598-2256. Nagisa Furukawa was third with 1306 votes, Nanami Aoyama was fourth with 820 votes, Illyasviel von Einzbern was fifth with 680 votes, Konata Izumi was sixth with 434 votes, Yuri Nakamura was seventh with 378 votes and Yui-nyan was last with 237 votes.

Ai Haibara won the third Female Division necklace, prevailing over Kumiko Oumae 3420-3376, Shouko Nishimiya was third with 1100 votes, Isla was fourth with 720 votes, Hu Tao was fifth with 576 votes, Iroha Isshiki was sixth with 469 votes, Megumi was sixth with 402 votes and Eriri Spencer Sawamura was last with 345 votes.

The first Male Division pendant up for grabs went to Conan Edogawa, who delivered the Final Upset of the Round as declared by the Bedlam, a 2968-2796 scalp of Miyuki Shirogane. Accelerator was third with 1344 votes, Sakuta Azusagawa was fourth with 1100 votes, Kazuto Kirigaya was fifth with 873 votes, Taki Tachibana was sixth with 654 votes, Subaru Natsuki was seventh with 508 votes and Touma Kamijou was last with 470 votes.

Takashi Natsume took the second Male Division pendant after belting Shidou Itsuka 2321-1793. Shirou Emiya was third with 1354 votes, Saika Totsuka was fourth with 1103 votes, Saitama was fifth with 870 votes, Ryuunosuke Akasaka was sixth with 761 votes, Kazuma Satou was seventh with 617 votes and Ainz Ooal Gown was last with 560 votes.

Tanjiro Kamado earned the third Male Division pendant of Eliminations 8, a 2058-2021 victor over Sasuke Uchiha. Gilbert Bougainvillea was third with 1502 votes, Inuyasha was fourth with 1181 votes, Nasa Yuzaki was fifth with 1019 votes, Mikaela Hyakuya was sixth with 904 votes, Mochizou Ouji was seventh with 789 votes and Tomoya Aki was last with 560 votes.

Finally, a convoy of dual matches and the odd race involving more than two took place to cap off an era of Saimoe to be believed. Schwi Dola flew past Jibril 2294-1552, Mahiro Oyama defeated Hideyoshi Kinoshita 1905-1417, Hitori Gotou rocked Yui Hirasawa 2793-2192, Jinx leveled Vi 1777-1017, Pikachu shocked Ai Kizuna 2879-1639, Aqua Minato prevailed over Kokori Amamiya 1607-1555, and in a battle of hololive rivals, Gawr Gura (1336) outlasted Pekora Usada (1281) and Kanaeru Kobo (958).

Amiya sailed past Laffey 2004-1353, Mikoto Misaka finished off her service to Saimoe with victories over Gotou (3454-2344) and Kanade Tachibana (3400-2172), Takagi took down Nagisa Kubo 2142-1498, Raiha Uesugi rolled past Takebayashi 1782-1594, Wein Salema Arbalest won a 1459-1246 snoozer over Kazuya Souma, Nodoka Manabe barreled past Jun Suzuki 1850-1355, Shuu Ogata defeated Haruhiko Ichijou 1632-1438 and Tom outdid Jerry 1987-1904.

Chisato Nishikigi routed Kei Karuizawa 3316-1315, Satoshi and Pikachu eased past Sakura Kinomoto and Cerberus 2713-2142, Mio Akiyama boomed past Ryou Yamada 2694-2107, Lelouch Lamperouge stormed past Light Yagami 2694-2107, Yuki Nagato hammered Fate Testarossa 2206-959, Archer torched Loid Forger 2366-2334, Yuki prevailed over Shinya Yukimura 1493-1304, Lyrule drove past Yu-no 1402-1195, Catarina Claes clocked Aileen Lauren Dautriche 1628-1303 and Seika Ijichi pulverized Kou Yagami 2532-1166.

Nishikigi and Takina Inoue teamed up to defeat Azusa Nakano and Yui Hirasawa 2691-2498, Umaru Doma trounced 2652-1049, Erika Kurumi defeated Laura La Mer 1441-993, Kana Sukoya blew past Himiko Toga 1720-1051, Yamada bounced back with a 2616-2487 statement win over Konata Izumi, Sanae Dekomori thumped Souji Mitsuka 2281-1016, Eru Chitanda had Houtarou Oreki's number 2431-1840, Shuu Ogata outhandled Rentarou Satomi 13900.2-12321.9 and in a special group race, Saber came away victorious with a score of 23777.7.

Wrapping up an era of Saimoe that millions around the world witness in real time, Shinku defeated Yaya 1650-1406, Isuzu Sento drove past Mai Kawakamu 2013-1292, Seiya Kanie overcame Tatsuya Shiba 1689, and Rudeus Greyrat closed the Saimoe era with a 1766-1281 victory over Naofumi Iwatani.
