Updated designs! Not final, I still have some things to add, but I don’t think I will be taking anything away. Except maybe putting up Anne’s hair

Chapter 12 is FULL of symbolism. I won’t break down all of it in as great detail as I would like (because spoilers), but I cannot contain myself from touching on it anyway. So I’ll just mention my personal favourites, with some context.
Amalia goes out hunting (or rather, to shoot aimlessly at things) very late at night. On her way back home, she visits the Jassims. This is after she had just gotten their eldest daughter’s lover’s whole family executed. And it just so happens to be the eldest daughter is the one who opens the door. And she is not pleased. At all. Naturally.
Amalia starts out strong with shoving her success in their faces, despite having very mixed feelings about the situation herself. This pisses off Fatima, the eldest daughter in question, who ends up disjointing Amalia’s jaw. This is where the fun starts.
Amalia then, laying on the floor, has this line I chose to described as being “barked”. In this line, she threatens Fatima with potential execution as well. Not only is this the first (currently) written symbolism with Amalia and dogs, but Amalia also never does end up going through with this despite the assault that she just experienced (and people have been executed for far less, on Amalia’s behalf). All bark, no bite, if you will.
When she leaves, Fatima’s parents are chasing after her to try and smooth things over to the best of their abilities, but Amalia silences them by firing her gun into the air. It’s just a way to get them to stop in their tracks, and stop screaming. But it also further solidifies the fact that she won’t hurt them more.
I dunno, I just like the way all her actions are violent, but carry no real intention. Amalia is the kind of person to bring a gun to a knife fight only to aim it to the sky. And that’s part of what I wanted this chapter to start building on

Obsessed with Amalia. She is such a loser, but a dangerous one. And that is pretty much the only thing keeping her safe because otherwise she would have been killed YEARS ago. She manages to stay intimidating while arguably being the most pathetic character in the story. And she knows it, which only fules her tendencies to misuse that power. Utterly obsessed

Shout out to Amalia for getting wasted while travelling through a storm by foot in the middle of October. Hypothermia is scared of her

Guys.
Idk how this happened. I swear I didn't base Amalia off Aimsey, yet they're literally the same. Down to every damn feature, except the eyes being a different colour. I am having a light crisis LMAO
