Headcanon: Nightmares

For years after Tadashi’s ‘death’ and reappearance, Jasmine has nightmares about that night and him not being there anymore.

At first--before he came back alive--these dreams would wake her up crying and she'd have to make herself some tea and watch some late night television to distract herself for a little while before attempting to go back to sleep.

More than once she’s woken up and rolled over just to make sure he’s still there and she panicks a little bit in the morning when he gets up before she does. When this happens, she usually ends up laying there holding her breath until she hears him moving around making breakfast or getting ready for the day.

Before they were living together, she would call him after these dreams, needing to hear his voice. During their brief break up, she readopted her habit of making tea in the middle of the night.

   “Something tells me you know your way around fixing things,” comes Keith’s

     tone, head tilting slightly up at the other raven male from his place at ground

     level with his bike. There was a small issue with it, if the grease smeared on

     Keith’s cheeks told anything, but he was right around to fixing it with ease. He

     was a mechanic after all, it should be expected.

Sometimes it hits Tadashi that he gets to do this with Jasmine; that he gets to lay with her, hold her close to him , breathe her in and enjoy her recollection of her day which all her animate descriptions and gestures. He hum, her perfumed hair right under him and he buries himself deeper in her essence. "I love you," he says, might have interrupted, but it has to be said. "So much." He kisses her. "I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with you."

His out of place declaration is dreamy toned and it catches her off guard for a moment before laughter snorts it's way out of her. Laughter that is interrupted when he kisses her, and she grins into the kiss; arms winding their way over his shoulders.

"Is that because you're surprised that I said yes or that you actually plucked up the courage to ask?" She was teasing of course.

"You know, we eventually have to tell my father..." It was something that both of them were avoiding, not because she didn't think her father wouldn't LIKE Tadashi; but because she honestly worried that he wouldn't give the young man the chance to show him what Jasmine saw in him. Of course this would do little to deter the princess, but it was a headache that she wasn't keen on facing.

"Mirza will like you, I'm sure of that."

wow okay. the one year anniversary of this blog was a week or two ago but im making this now. 554 followers in a year. honestly i didnt think id get this far. i didnt even think id be making this right here right now. two hiatuses, one that i had to take for the better of my mental health, and im still here, writing this with you all today. i didnt think i was ever going to log into this blog ever again after my second hiatus. to be honest, im glad that i did. the vld fandom may be a war zone, but my love for vld is so strong and my love for keith is even stronger. how could i possibly stay away from a character i love so much?

through everything, i have made so many friends here, so many people i will call apart of my life for years to come. ive had so many interactions that ive adored and ive put so much time into keith. im appreciative of every single one of you that stayed through my depressive states, those who leave me kind words in the inbox (that i still read to this day --- i have 14 asks to be specific. some have made me cry on multiple accounts).

from the bottom of my heart, i thank each and every one of you for being here, for liking my keith portrayal, for everything. thank you SO much. below is a list of various people but, even if you arent on the list, just know that i appreciate you with everything i have just for following me.
