Amāre Divinitatus (Interlude): "The passion of my soul's desire..."
His end drew near. He felt it, dreamt it, and was torn by its horrors and the wonders of you.
Destiny rent his mind. You made it whole again.
The madness crept nearer, day by day, with every swing of his sword, with every chant of praise, whenever he took flight.
All for his Father's sake.
All for Man's sake.
And it rent his mind in two.
It reaches its peak one day, his foolishness, and the weight of his sword is instead traded for the firmness of your body, ensconced in his arms, shielded from his pain.
His kiss is frenzied. It stirs you to passion.
He tastes freedom on your lips and yearns.
You taste doom on his and mourn.
And still, you two are made whole once more.

Amāre Divinitatus: "And the light shineth in darkness..."
He, too, dreamt of you. He, the crown jewel of his Father's virtue.
It was a dream sundered by doom and covered in blood; of his or yours he could not tell. And yet, he found solace in it all.
He held the visions and yearning at bay and no matter how tempted he was to give in, he could not. Not for Man's sake and certainly not for yours, and how the shame tore him in two. That yearning, one he sensed so strongly within his sons, grew stronger with each passing day.
And when he saw you at last, he could contain it no longer.
You were unaware of Fate's pull and too caught up in the throes of war to realize what had befallen you. You came to in the embrace of majestic gold and blinding white, the softness of his hair brushing against your grime-covered face.
He held your wounded hand in his own. He brought it to his lips, savored the metallic scent and, licked.
Baptism by blood.
The joy it brought him was immense. He knew then to cherish the little time he had left with you and then... and then...
When he died, it was with your name on his lips, imprinted in his mind.
When he died, his beloved sons were blessed with fated love.
— Sanguinius.
