ive only recently discovered that dirkjake is still supprisingly popular which absolutely perplexes me, because its like,,, their relationship was super rocky and had lots of problems in canon and once they did break up, though they were both sad about it, they were much better off. idk i assumed people would have stopped shipping it once both of their weirdness in a romantic relationships was shown (by weirdness i mean theyre both bad at being in romantic relationships lol)

#im not nessicarily hating im just.... perplexed as to how this ship is still popular after all this time #also by being bad in relationships i mean dirk being like an overbearing and abuseive parent #and jake being very closed off emotionally and not talking about his feelings about anything ever #i also think jakes idea of romantic relationships would have also been (no pun intended) romanticised.#i think the only things about romance was learnt from blockbusters. i think his expectations were much different to reality.#am i know a dirkxjake analyst wtf im rambling #hs #ALSO if u ship dirkjake tell my why i wana know
