Wanted to do fanart of three of the muses belonging to the first people I met in this community just for the hell of it (also, Poppy and Alx were two of the muses that inspired me to start ask blogging in the first place). I entered this community with zero art experience and no tablet. Cal, Morning, and Reich all really showed me the ropes and helped me improve at my art when I first started out here. And that was with me being kind of a terrible person who was way too caught up with follower count and the very slow growth of this blog despite both being due to (mostly) circumstances beyond my control. I never really expressed my gratitude both for putting up with that and helping me get started on something I love doing.

So I did fanart of all three, because I’ve never been able to draw Poppy, Alx, or Reich very well. And while I know there’s still a lot of room for growth in certain areas (anatomy and posing in particular), I feel like I’ve improved enough to be able to do all three of them justice now.

Alx@Poppy: "So THIS is where you've been all this time... I have to say I'm quite impressed with the place, though the name is a bit much, I never thought you for someone with and ego complex" The Primarina laughs, clearly joking with Poppy. "Sorry I didn't come here just to laugh, Actually Rikky told me I should start training again, I'm all up for it but I had no-one to practice with. I remembered a while back we worked together so I thought maybe we could do that again?" She asks casually.

@dailyprimaPoppy seemed to have instantly snapped into anger just by that one phrase. “…What am I a clown to you?… Cause last time I checked I’m not trying to be funny…” Poppy leans back from looming over her and takes a deep breath before letting out a deep winded sigh. “…Then you gotta joke about me having a Ego complex… One of the types that I absolutely despise… I hate cocky, pompous, pretentiousness… All of that ‘I’m better than you’ bullshit… Then you ask if I’d be willing to train you… What in the hell..?”

“Like what? Are you gonna fucking slap me in the face and ask me to go easy on you in a fight?”“Alx… You /REALLY/… Gotta think before you act… Cause you pulled some serious insults out of your sleeve for a serious occasion, such as applying to join my ‘Training Group…’. Like you don’t see Humans slapping they’re Bosses in the face and then expecting to keep a job or something…”Poppy waves his flipper in a dismissing manner. “Like you can’t just insult someone and then expect to get what you want. It’s like an interview you can’t be acting idiotically and expect to get what you want out of it! There’s a time and a place for everything. However I treat this place very seriously, because it is like a memorial to my Teacher. By carrying on what he taught me to others in hopes that they may succeed where he helped me to succeed. Since he turned me from someone who was afraid to lay a flipper on someone who isn’t afraid to lay down the law if he needs to!” Poppy for the most part was trying to be understanding. As she didn’t know about this. How could she have known? Plus they were friends and he had a feeling she didn’t actually mean it.Poppy shakes his head tapping his head with a flipper. “…But then again.. you probably didn’t mean it as well as… don’t know my past… any further back than when we first met… plus we’re friends… but there are somethings that even make me snap because of things in the past…” Seems Alx reopened some old wounds with the mockery and name calling. “But that’s why I’m letting you off with a warning…For the future… Just you gotta tread more carefully. Alright?” Poppy slowly but surely calms down as he goes on his glare changing back to a neutral look. Poppy tilts his head leaning towards her again but in a more silly manner. Almost he just snapped out of some kind of rage induced trance. Anger issues maybe? “Plus I kinda… just made the sign cause others kinda call me Brosideon. But uh… you aren’t gonna be a joker though are you? Cause I don’t train those who aren’t gonna take it seriously.” Poppy said putting his flippers on his hips with a neutral demeanor. Looking down at Alx.

“O-oh. I’m sorry. I do that a lot. My name is Leilani.” Leilani smiles at Alx, but only briefly, remembering what Alx said to her.

“You say I have a lot of courage, b-but I really don’t think I do. The truth is… I’m scared, because I’m completely alone. I don’t know where my tribe is, n-not since Mother sang me to sleep when we saw the black monsters. Also, the r-really big storm that destroyed my tribe’s island and forced us to leave, it took many of our kind as well. B-but I don’t want to talk about that.” Leilani speaks that last sentence hastily, as if this “really big storm” troubled her somehow.

Leilani looks up at the larger sea lion. “M-maybe it seems silly to be worried about you over exercise, but I don’t want to see any more Primarina get hurt.” She smiles slightly again. “That’s enough about me. Y-you seem interesting, too. I’ve never seen a Primarina like you before, one with b-blue hair. And I don’t think you mentioned your name either.”

 There was a bit of distance from when he began yelling for Alx to wait. However that gap was quickly closed, as Poppy somehow caught up in no time. Sending a cloud of sand past the two Primarina as he got in Alx’s path. Although Alx was turned away from Poppy so there was no way of telling how he caught up so quickly. Although back to the matter at hand. The scene that had just occurred had the stand.

“Woah woah woah! Not so hasty pal! You have nothing to be sorry about! If anything I’m the one who should be sorry Alx. I’ll be the first to say that I overreacted... I’ve just got such a itchy trigger flipper on such things I snap at the drop of a hat. I didn’t mean anything by it... I mean I’ve been trying to get it sorted but it just kinda... slips like that then I just lose it and then this shit happens so on and so on.” Poppy presses his flippers together looking down at them while he explains the whole thing. He didn’t want to repeat this scene again... “I’ve got all this trauma and shit from when I was a kid that causes these kind of things to happen... I really didn’t mean to yell at you it just makes me go on blind tangents... Of course you didn’t know so you have nothing to be sorry about. But again I’m terribly sorry about what the fuck just came out of my mouth just then...” Poppy rubs the back of his head a bit looking back up to her.  “I’ve gone thru this scene multiple times in the past... But I really don’t want to repeat it with someone close to me...” Soon after he puts his flipper out to Alx looking her in the eyes, wanting her to take his flipper. Since he knew how finicky she was with others touching her... now that hopefully all the sorry’s were out of the way. Even if he couldn’t apologize enough. “I mean here... if you still want I’m willing to train you. Let’s be partners again eh? Just like back during the whole Ultra Beast and Aether Foundation thing...”
