alexia putellas masterlist: here requests: here
based on this request: surprisingly enough, another creation from my own mind.
word count: 1,253k
summary: a trip out for dinner reminds you of just how much support you have.
genre: comfort/fluff warnings: grief, struggling, feeling of hopelessness? possibly very bad spanish (sorry! i try lol).
chapter 1: here chapter 2: here chapter 3: here
Tumblr media
The next few days felt like they were moving in slow motion. Each morning you woke up, the weight of everything that had happened seemed to settle deeper in your bones, but you still put on a brave face. For Alexia. For the team. For yourself, even though that felt like a losing battle at times.
You spent most of your time either on the pitch or in your apartment, the latter mostly spent avoiding your thoughts and feeling your grief settle into your body like an anchor that refused to let go. Alexia had made it clear that she was there for you, but there was something inside you that still couldn’t let her in completely. Not yet. Not when it still felt too raw.
On the surface, things seemed to be going back to normal. You went to training, you smiled when required, and you participated when you had to, but it was all like you were moving through a fog, distant and disconnected from everything around you. You could hear the chatter, the banter from the team, but it felt muffled, like you were underwater.
The media wasn’t helping, either. Every interview, every appearance, always came with that dreaded question about your parents. It was like they could sense the vulnerability in your eyes, the cracks that were barely visible but enough to leave you shaking after each public moment. You wanted to shout, to tell them to leave you alone, but you knew it wasn’t just about you anymore. You had to live with the spotlight, even if it made your heart ache.
That’s when the texts from your aunt began.
Each message felt like a small jab to your already bruised soul. She wanted to meet again. She said it was time to “discuss the future” and how you’d handle everything that was left behind. The mere thought of it made your skin crawl.
You hadn’t responded to her at all. You knew exactly what she wanted, what she was after - anything she could claim as her own. You weren’t going to let her take what little you had left.
The day after another brutal press conference, you found yourself sitting in the locker room with Alexia. Everyone else had left to grab food, but you stayed behind, sitting on the bench with your head in your hands, the exhaustion from holding everything together for the past few days finally catching up to you.
Alexia walked in quietly, and without saying a word, she sat beside you, her presence a steady force next to you. You didn’t look up at first, but you felt her eyes on you, the concern in them almost tangible.
“Chica,” she said softly, her voice laced with warmth and something else. Worry? Fear? You couldn’t be sure.
You finally looked at her, meeting her gaze with a half-hearted smile, one that didn’t quite reach your eyes. “I’m fine, really.”
Alexia didn’t buy it, of course. She leaned in slightly, her face closer now, close enough for you to feel the soft warmth of her breath. “You don’t look fine, amor.”
You sighed, rubbing your face with both hands, trying to wipe away the frustration, the ache. “It’s just… everything. It feels like it's all crashing down on me, and I can’t get away from it. Not even for a second.”
Alexia nodded in understanding, her expression softening, her hand brushing lightly against your arm. “I know. I know it’s hard. But you’re not alone in this, Y/N. You don’t have to go through it by yourself.”
You met her gaze again, and for the first time in a while, you felt something like relief - like you could finally admit to yourself that you needed help. But then, just as quickly, the weight of your aunt’s messages flooded your mind, and you felt the tension return.
“I don’t know if I can do this,” you whispered, voice cracking. “I don’t know if I can face her again. I don’t know how to make it all stop.”
Alexia’s hand found yours, her fingers wrapping around yours tightly, grounding you in the moment. “You don’t have to do it alone, I told you that. And we’ll face her together. You have your team, and you have me. Don’t forget that, okay?”
You blinked back the tears threatening to fall, fighting to keep the storm inside at bay. It wasn’t that you didn’t trust Alexia - it was that you couldn’t bring yourself to fully let anyone in. Not yet. Not when everything still felt so fragile.
“I don’t know if I’m strong enough for this,” you muttered, feeling the weight of those words more than you wanted to.
Alexia’s gaze softened, and for a moment, it was as if the whole world outside of the locker room had faded away. All that mattered was the two of you, sitting there in silence, the bond between you unspoken but clear.
“You are stronger than you think,” she said gently, squeezing your hand. “And when you feel like you’re not, I’ll be here. And the team will be here. We’ve got you, Y/N.”
You nodded, a lump in your throat as you squeezed her hand back. Maybe, just maybe, you didn’t have to do this alone. Maybe, this time, you could lean on someone who truly cared.
A couple of days later, Alexia insisted that you accompany her to dinner with a few of the others. You had been avoiding social situations, sticking mostly to your apartment or training, but Alexia was determined, and you couldn’t say no. You weren’t sure if you were ready to face the world again, but for her, you would try.
The restaurant was quiet, and as soon as you walked in, a few of the team members - Mapi, Lucy, Keira, and Ingrid - waved at you from their corner booth. You forced a smile and made your way over, the familiar faces a welcome distraction from the thoughts that had been swirling in your mind for days.
“¿Cómo estás?” Mapi asked, her tone gentle but probing. You could see the concern in her eyes, the way she was waiting for the truth.
You sighed, shifting in your seat as you avoided eye contact for a moment. “I’m managing. Just… trying to keep going.”
Keira smiled softly. “It’s okay if you’re not okay, you know. We get it. And we’ll be here, no matter what.”
Lucy chimed in, her accent thick as always. “Yeah, and if you ever need to talk - or if you want us to come smash a few things together - just say the word.”
That earned a small laugh from you, something that felt foreign and strange after all this time. But it felt good. Real. Like you didn’t have to carry the weight of your grief alone.
“Thanks, chicas,” you whispered, feeling the tears start to sting again. “I… I don’t know what I’d do without you all.”
Alexia reached over and squeezed your hand under the table, offering a soft smile. “You’ll never have to find out, cariño. You’ve got us. Always.”
And for the first time in what felt like an eternity, you allowed yourself to believe her.
The world outside was still chaotic. Your aunt still lingered like a shadow, waiting to make her move. But you didn’t have to face it all right now. Right now, you had the people who loved you by your side. And for now, that was enough.

Underneath that heart of gold, that helping hand that jumps at the opportunity to help someone in need without a second thought, is a broken, grieving soul. One that has not shown herself that same kindness in longer than she can remember.
When was the last time she let herself breathe. When was the last time she allowed herself to be the vulnerable one.
She doesn't want to worry the people she cares deeply about. She wants to be strong, she wants to love with all her heart, to hold on tight and never let go.
She's so terrified. Everything has been ripped from her once before. What if it happens again? Her life. Her home. Her family. Is it going to happen again?

Heather
[Theodore Nott x reader]

Sitting on the stone bench outside the castle, you couldn’t feel your fingers anymore. The cold bit at your skin, sharp and unrelenting, as the snow fell steadily around you. Everyone else seemed to be inside, laughing with friends or warming themselves by the fires in their common rooms. But you didn’t have a group to belong to. Not really.
The silence was comforting and suffocating all at once. You hadn’t brought a jacket, thinking you wouldn’t stay outside long, but you regretted it now. Your teeth began to chatter softly as you hugged your knees, trying to keep what little warmth you had.
“Strange place to be sitting in this weather,” Theo’s voice broke through the stillness, smooth and curious.
You looked up, startled. There he was, Theo Nott, with his hands shoved into his pockets, his hair dusted with snowflakes. He tilted his head slightly as he regarded you, that same calm intensity in his eyes that always made your heart flutter.
You forced a small smile, trying not to seem as pathetic as you felt. “I’ve got nothing better to do.”
Theo smirked as he lowered himself onto the bench beside you, brushing snow off the seat first. “Nothing better to do? Don’t tell me you’re one of those people who doesn’t know how to enjoy snow.”
You chuckled softly. “I never said that.”
“Then go make a snow angel or start a snowball fight,” he suggested, his voice light with amusement. “Or, if you’re feeling particularly brave, go sledding down the hill by Hagrid’s hut. I hear Pansy tried it last year and nearly broke Draco’s neck.”
You shook your head, laughing a little. “I think I’ll pass.”
His smirk fading into something softer. “Why are you really out here, Y/N?”
Your breath caught, and you hesitated. You didn’t know how to tell him you just wanted to escape the overwhelming loneliness you felt inside. So you shrugged instead. “Just needed some air.”
he didn’t press further. Instead, he leaned back, glancing at the snow-covered grounds. “Well, it’s freezing out here. You could’ve at least brought a jacket.”
“I didn’t think I’d stay this long,” you admitted, rubbing your arms for warmth. You shivered visibly then, your whole body trembling.
He noticed immediately. “Merlin, you’re shaking like a bloody leaf,” he muttered, already unzipping his sweater.
Your eyes widened as he pulled it over his head, revealing the fitted white shirt underneath that clung to his chest and shoulders. You quickly looked away, your face burning despite the cold. “Theo, no. You’ll —”
“Nuh-uh,” he cut you off, holding the sweater out to you. “I’m fine. Put it on, Y/N. You’re going to turn into an icicle.”
You hesitated, shaking your head. “No, really. I’ll be fine. You don’t have to—”
“For Salazar’s sake, just take it,” he said, rolling his eyes. “I’m not arguing with you about this. Put it on.”
Reluctantly, you took the sweater from his hands, your fingers brushing his briefly. It was still warm, and it smelled like him—You slipped it over your head, the fabric enveloping you like a hug.
“See? That’s better,” he said, a satisfied grin tugging at his lips as he leaned back again, his arm casually draped over the back of the bench. “You look ridiculous in my clothes, though.”
Tugging the sleeves down over your hands you side eyed him. “Thanks. Really appreciate that.”
He grinned. “Don’t mention it, but seriously, Y/N, you shouldn’t sit out here alone like this.”
You shrugged, avoiding his gaze. “I like the quiet.”
He didn’t say anything for a moment, and you wondered if you’d said too much. But then he leaned a little closer, his voice dropping to a quieter, more sincere tone. “Next time, tell me. I’ll sit with you.”
Your heart skipped a beat, and you glanced at him, surprised. “You would?”
He smirked, but there was a warmth behind it. “What, you think I’d let you freeze out here by yourself? I’ve got a reputation to maintain. Can’t have people thinking I let my… friends suffer.”
Friends. The word stung a little, but you pushed the feeling aside, nodding. “Thanks, Theo.”
“Don’t mention it,” Theo said again, his smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. “But if you do end up sledding by Hagrid’s hut, let me know. I’d pay good money to see that.”
You laughed softly, shaking your head, the warmth of his sweater and his presence dulling the bitter chill in the air. But before you could say anything more, movement caught your eye.
Heather Whitmore. She was walking toward the courtyard with her usual group of friends.
Heather wasn’t just beautiful—she was radiant. With her golden hair cascading in soft waves over her shoulders and her perfectly pressed robes, she looked as if she had stepped out of a fairy tale. Everyone adored her. Professors sang her praises, students gravitated toward her, and even the portraits seemed to lean closer when she passed. She was kind in a way that didn’t feel forced, effortlessly graceful, and charming without trying.
As she approached, her soft laughter carried on the winter air, and you didn’t need to look at Theo to know his attention had shifted. You could feel it.
But you looked anyway.
His eyes followed her, his smirk fading into something softer. His gaze lingered on her face, taking in the way she smiled, the way she carried herself as if she floated instead of walked.
You knew that look. You knew it because it was the same way you looked at him. Like he was the only thing in the world that mattered. Like he was everything.
And now you were watching him look at Heather that way.
Your chest tightened, the air freezing in your lungs. You wanted to look away, but you couldn’t. The ache was too raw, too consuming.
“She’s beautiful, isn’t she?” you heard yourself say before you could stop.
His nod was almost imperceptible, but it was there. “Yeah,” he said softly, his voice carrying a weight you weren’t used to hearing.
The lump in your throat grew harder to swallow. “She seems… nice,” you said, your voice cracking just enough to betray you.
Theo glanced at you briefly, but his eyes were already drawn back to Heather. “She is.”
“She’s got a lot of friends,” you added, trying to sound casual, like you were making an observation instead of feeling your heart splintering into pieces.
“She’s easy to get along with,” Theo replied simply, his tone nonchalant, though his gaze was anything but.
“Everyone loves her,” you said softly, barely above a whisper.
“Hard not to,” Theo muttered, his lips twitching into a small smile.
The final blow came when Heather glanced in Theo’s direction and smiled, her cheeks rosy from the cold. You saw it—the way her eyes lit up when they met his. And he smiled back, faint but unmistakable.
You couldn’t take it anymore. The weight of it all—your loneliness, the unspoken feelings you’d harbored for so long, the way he looked at her the way you’d always dreamed he’d look at you—it was suffocating.
“I should go inside,” you said suddenly, standing up.
Theo frowned, pulling his eyes away from Heather to look at you. “What? Why? You—”
“I’m fine,” you interrupted, forcing a smile as you reached for the hem of his sweater to pull it off. “Here—”
His hand shot out, gently grabbing yours to stop you. “No, no,” he said quickly, shaking his head. “Keep it. It looks better on you anyway.”
The casual smile he gave you was enough to make your heart flutter and shatter at the same time. You hesitated, swallowing hard before whispering, “Thanks, Theo.”
You turned before he could see the tears threatening to spill and started walking away, your steps unsteady.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Heather excusing herself from her friends, her gaze set firmly on Theo. Her radiant smile didn’t falter as she crossed the courtyard, her steps confident and deliberate.
You didn’t stay to watch the rest. You couldn’t.
Each step back toward the castle felt heavier than the last, the warmth of Theo’s sweater doing little to soothe the cold sinking into your chest.
A week later, the air at Hogwarts still carried the sharp chill of winter. Snow crunched beneath your boots as you made your way across the courtyard, keeping to yourself as you always did. You didn’t mind being alone, not really—but lately, the silence felt heavier, harder to bear.
“Y/N!” a familiar voice called, pulling your attention.
You turned to see Enzo, his bright grin cutting through the cold, waving you over. He stood with the usual group—Mattheo, Blaise, Pansy, Draco, and Theo. But your gaze faltered when you saw Theo. His arm was draped casually around Heather’s shoulders, her blonde hair shining in the pale sunlight. She leaned into him, her perfect smile turning up as she laughed at something Blaise said.
Steeling yourself, you walked over, forcing a smile as you greeted them. “Hi, guys.”
Enzo immediately dropped his arm over your shoulders as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “There’s my savior,” he said dramatically.
You laughed lightly, though your pulse quickened at the sudden attention. “Savior?”
“You helped me not fail that Potions exam,” Enzo reminded you, grinning.
Heather’s soft voice chimed in, her tone light but pointed. “That’s cheating.”
Enzo smirked, tilting his head dramatically. “Cheating? Nah. I call it teamwork. Besides,” he added, nudging you with his elbow, “Y/N’s a good friend. The best, actually.”
“It wasn’t that big of a deal. You knew most of the answers already.”
“Oh, come on. Don’t downplay it,” Enzo said, squeezing your shoulder. “You saved my life, and I owe you. Big time. Dinner, drinks, whatever you want—it’s on me.”
“You don’t owe me anything, Enzo,”
Alright, but if you change your mind, just say the word.”
Draco smirked, nudging Blaise. “Careful, Enzo. I think she might just take you up on that.”
“Wouldn’t mind if she did,” Enzo shot back, winking at you.
You smiled, trying to keep the moment light, though the weight in your chest grew heavier.
Heather had gone quiet. Her arms crossed against the cold as she glanced up at Theo.
“It’s freezing,” she said softly, wrapping her arms around herself.
Theo was quick to respond, shrugging off his sweater and draping it over her shoulders. “Here,” he said, his voice gentle in a way that made your stomach twist.
Heather smiled up at him, her cheeks flushed. “Thanks, baby.”
And then he kissed her, a soft, casual press of his lips to her temple, but it felt like a dagger straight to your chest.
You swallowed hard, your hands trembling slightly as you tried to keep your composure. “I—um—I have to go,” you said abruptly, stepping back.
Enzo’s hand slid off your shoulder as he turned to you, frowning. “What? Already?”
You nodded, avoiding Theo’s gaze entirely. “Yeah, I just remembered I have something important to do. I’ll see you guys later.”
“You sure?” Enzo asked.
You forced a smile, nodding again. “Positive.”
Before anyone could say more, you turned and walked away, your boots crunching through the snow as you headed back toward the castle. You didn’t dare look back, but the image of Theo and Heather lingered in your mind like a brand.
The cold bit at your cheeks, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t the cold that made your chest ache.

jealousy
here is a part two to 183 - if you haven't read it here is a link to it!
this is a Frontman/Player 001/In-ho/Young-il x Reader lmao why does he have so many names
also kind of a bonus Dae-ho x Reader. Frontman owns my heart but I also have a soft spot for Dae-ho so was nice to write for him a little bit in here too! hope u like!
Tumblr media
"I think my sisters would really like you." Kang Dae-ho told you with a smile on his face.
"Really?" You responded, smiling back at him - you were happy to hear something so nice after yet again losing the vote to go home.
Up until just before the vote you'd only known him as Player 388 but he was the one who had suggested everyone learn each others names. You were happy to learn his name, you'd started to really enjoy being around him, you found him to be a breath of fresh air in this hell zone.
Yourself and Dae-ho had been having brief moments of making each other laugh. Every now and again the two of you would do impressions of the guards and their robotic way of walking and talking. The first time you both found it so funny, it became a personal joke that you two had continued to do.
It was silly and although no one else really found it as funny as the two of you, most of the other players around still enjoyed seeing you both with wide smiles and loud laughs. Some of them would even smile at those moments you shared. It was a welcomed contrast to the very dark aura that existed in this place.
Not everyone welcomed it, though.
Player 001 watched your smile reach your eyes and his jaw hardened. He was filled with jealousy and he was finding it hard to mask his rage.
In-ho - or Young-ill as you knew him because that was what he had told everyone his name was - was drawn to you in ways he couldn't admit. He was already having an internal battle over how much younger you were than him, but the part of him that was fighting to have you as his own was definitely winning.
From the moment he saw you, he thought you were too good to be here, too young to be here, too innocent to be here. It was why last night he sat on the side of your bed and stroked your hair until you were sound asleep. Even once you were asleep, he continued to sit by you, memorising your peaceful features, he wanted to provide you with that kind of peace all the time, that's what someone as pure as you deserved. Not the terror he had seen displayed in you due to being here.
Here. His games.
He felt so guilty you were here, he felt to blame for the trauma that was being inflicted upon you from being here. A player had never had this kind of affect over him. Although you put on a brave face, he still saw the way you reacted every single time a gun went off and someone dropped dead. No one flinched as hard as you did, he would see your eyes squeeze shut and your hands move to cover your ears. This place was not meant for you, and he wanted to keep you safe. He wanted to be the one making you feel happier, making you laugh, making you feel good, making you his.
Dae-ho seemed to be one of the better ones in this group of players, but In-ho felt like he wanted to knock him out with a single punch right now. The sound of plastic being crinkled sounded out loudly as he quickly clenched his fist around the packaging the bread had come in, his knuckles becoming very prominent.
You quickly turned to look at him, your eyes lingering on his hand before looking up to his eyes. He was already looking back at you, of course he was, he was always looking at you. The immediate eye-contact caught you off guard, your eyebrows furrowed, you opened your mouth to ask him what was wrong when Dae-ho - completely oblivious to Player 001's anger - spoke before you could.
"Yes! When we get out of here, you'll have to come meet them."
"I would love that!" You responded, your voice genuine, full of hope and excitement. Dae-ho had your attention again and In-ho got up from his position and walked away.
---
"Faster, Dae-ho!" You yelled out from your spot on Player 388's back.
After Player 001 walked away, you were questioning Dae-ho on what growing up with so many sisters was like. One of the facts he told you was that he could run faster than anyone else while giving a piggy-back ride from doing it so much for his sisters when they were younger.
He was challenged to prove it from Player 390, so he asked if you wanted a piggy-back so he could demonstrate, to which you happily agreed.
In-ho watched with venom in his gaze, your legs were wrapped him, your arms were around his neck, his hands were gripping your thighs, your front was pressing against his back. And then there was your beautiful, angelic laugh again, being caused by him. His will power was being challenged because all he wanted to do was march down to where Dae-ho was running around with you on his back and rip you off of him and into his own arms where he believed you belonged instead.
"Hey, that was the fastest yet! Think you can go faster?" Park Jung-bae spoke, he had been counting to time the fun activity.
"Maybe! But this one will be bumpy, (Y/N), I don't want you to fall so let's get you secure." Dae-ho tightened his grip around your legs and just as you were adjusting yourself on Dae-ho to be more locked in place, that commanding voice interrupted.
"I think that's enough." Player 001 walked closer to the two of you. The same look of rage he'd had before present on his face. You and Dae-ho froze in place and both turned to look at him. Your face screwed up in annoyance. Most people listened to In-ho, but as he had come to learn about you in a short time, you were not most people.
"Relax, old man. We're just having fun." You snickered after your comment, a playful smile on your lips, you were not going to obey him the way others had. "Dae-ho, let's go-"
"You're being disrespectful." In-ho cut you short. You met his glare with one of your own.
"How?"
"People died today, people will die tomorrow and you two are running around laughing. Playing silly games in here like idiots while others have lost their lives to the games we play out there."
That got you instantly, your mood doing a complete flip flop.
You didn't have any remark back to that. Your face crumpled into sadness and In-ho noticed. Part of his heart ached knowing he caused that, but the twisted part of him was glad he got his own way in separating you two. You loosened your arms from Dae-ho's neck and he leant back so you would safely land on the ground.
You felt guilty, Player 001 was right. You were being selfish, having fun and playing around while others had died. It could have been you that died. Suddenly you felt the weight of all the deaths that had taken place here.
Dae-ho felt guilty too, it created an uncomfortable shift between you two so suddenly. You felt so bad, you didn't know what to say and you felt the oncoming of tears so you just made quick steps to hideaway in your bunk for the rest of the night.
---
It was late and the room was dark when you heard footsteps coming towards your bed.
"Are you awake?" Just like he had last night, Player 001 was paying you another visit.
You were laying on your side, facing away from him. "No."
"Ah, the advanced sleep talking is happening again." He attempted to make a joke referencing what you had said to him last night, hoping it would get you to talk to him.
It didn't.
"(Y/N?)" He called your name and you let your hurt ignore the way you liked how it sounded. How it felt so right leaving his mouth.
He quietly sighed as he was once again met with silence. At this point, he would've taken one of your feisty remarks, that would have been better than this. He was realising the depth of hurt he'd put on you earlier, he should've known the toll it would have taken on you. You were too good, too pure, of course you'd hear those words and instantly accept the guilt. He'd did it all because you were simply having fun, it was unfair of him to do that. He should have been happy you were happy, he should have enjoyed hearing you laugh, he should want you to find comfort in someone closer to your age. But he didn't. He was a selfish man who was used to getting what he wanted. So instead, he had been greedy over you.
"Please, can we talk?"
"I don't want to talk, Young-il." Finally, you responded. It wasn't the response he wanted but he was relieved to have any response from you. Although, he had heard the sadness in your voice, the words came out a little shaky and you sniffled, too.
"I want to apologise to you."
"You don't have to, you were right. It was wrong. I don't deserve to be laughing like that, I've voted to leave every time and am just lucky to still be alive. I was being selfish, those poor people died and I-" A sob cut off what you were saying and you brought your hand up to cover your own mouth, your body curving in on yourself. You'd been crying on and off since returning to your bunk.
At this, In-ho succumbed to his greed when it came to you and climbed into your bed. You were hurting and it was his fault. He wrapped an arm over you and pulled you into him.
He didn't know if you would reject his touch at first, but he felt no resistance and instead, it seemed you relaxed against him. "Shh, (Y/N), it's okay." He whispered right into your ear.
"But you said-"
"I know, I'm sorry." He gritted his teeth, he was a manipulative man, he knew how to get people to do what he wanted. He wanted to seperate you and Dae-ho and he carefully chose the words he suspected would affect the both of you the most and give him what he wanted. Which it did. It was just in most other cases, he didn't feel guilty afterwards, but having you cry in his arms was destroying his hardness. It was making him want to be gentle, to be soft for your comfort. "None of this is your fault. Do not feel like it is."
Your breathing was still uneven and so he tightened his arm around you, pulling you in closer again until there was no space at all left between you both, your back now flush against his chest. He placed his open palm in the middle of your chest, the wide span of his hand placing some pressure on it. "You need to take some deep breaths, okay?" He told you, and you listened, the first few getting caught in your throat but eventually they begun to even out. "Good job. Good girl."
You liked how it all felt, him calling you a good girl, his broad chest warm and strong against your back, being in his arms, his breath blowing against the back of your neck, his hand against your chest acting like some sort of tiny weighted blanket to calm you.
Your heartbeat intensified, your cheeks warmed with a blush.
He could feel your heart beneath his hand, it was the reason he didn't move it once your breathing had returned to normal. He vowed to keep this heart of yours beating, he needed to feel it every day.
His own heart was beating harder in his chest. You could feel it against your back because of how close you were.
It was silent, you both were walking a dangerous tightrope. Yours was because you finally admitted to yourself you were falling for this older man, you were getting attached and you had only known him for a few days, you were wondering what it would do to you if he died in here. His was because he was already attached to this younger woman, he would do anything to keep you safe, you could ruin his plan if he focused too much on you and he was going to let you.
He dotted a gentle kiss to the back of your neck. You sighed and relaxed into him further.

꩜ warnings: angst, mentions of alcohol and drugs, cursing, sickness, fluff.
꩜ synopsis: after three weeks, ballerina!reader and dealer!chris finally sees each other again, but now chris needs to do everything right, or else he'll lose you forever.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ꒰͡⠀🩰 𝅄 💸⠀͡꒱
It's been three weeks since Chris tells you that you were ashamed of him, since you screamed with him and threw the bouquet on his face. It's been three weeks you're crying in your room, because you miss him, even though in front of everyone you pretend you're okay, when you're not. It's hard to not cry when your favorite plushie was gifted by him, or how his scent totally missed from your bathroom. Your clothes don't smell like Chris anymore, only an old hoodie you kept and not washed since you break your nonexistent relationship. Even though you blame him for not asking you to be his girlfriend, you feel guilty for being ashamed of him.
You know you should've confronted your mother and said that you and Chris were together. You ruined everything, you should be brave, not a coward.
After three weeks without going out, only for classes, your friends finally convinced you to hang out with them. Lena said that you have to keep going, even though that means being without Chris. She helped you to choose a cute dress, do a nice makeup and forced you to wear high heels, even though you hated it, always makes your feet hurt. The party was filled with unknown faces, the music was kinda annoying your ears and when your friend handed you a red cup with a red drink, you remembered you just drink when Chris' around. He's not with you now, but you still feel the ghost of him.
Sitting on the couch, your fingers tugging the dress hem down, feeling uncomfortable by the size, it was Lena's dress. You mumble something to your friend, he's your dance partner and was talking about the next performance you'll have, but you weren't paying attention. He lazily embraces your shoulders, trying to catch your attention, you give him a small smile and then your eyes catch his figure.
He wasn't wearing his black clothes, like he usually does. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, his cap backwards, the lazy smile on his lips as he walked inside the house. His arm around a girl's waist, your stomach churn in discomfort, you bite your lower lip feeling a wave of jealousy fill your chest.
Who's this bitch? Why he's holding her waist?
You couldn't help it, your eyebrows frowned showing your visible anger, you stared at the cup in your hand and in a second turned the drink down your throat. Chris' eyes meet yours, he watches you clean a droplet dripping down in the corner of your mouth. His jaw clenched when he saw your dance partner arm around your shoulders, he leans his head to the left as he gave you an angry smile, he holds the girl's waist harder. You take a sharp breath and smash the red cup around your hands.
"Jeez, Y/N." Lena says, chuckling as your evident anger. She turns her head to the right and sees Chris, now knowing why you're irritated. She leans her body and touches you tight, catching your attention. "Forget about him, we're not here for this, remember?"
"Yeah, whatever. I don't care about him anymore." You lie. You clearly care about him and see him with another girl breaks your heart, you feel your eyes getting glassy and your nose burns. "I'm going to get another drink." You lift from the couch, walking towards the kitchen.
You throw the smashed cup in the trash, take another one and fill it with the red drink. You swallow at once, putting your hand behind your chin to clean the droplets, you were about to fill the red cup again when a hand grabbed your wrist. The silver bracelet on the wrist and the familiar scent.
"Get your hands off me." You mumble, showing your anger and jealousy. Chris laughs sarcastically, he leans his head and puts his mouth close to your ear, close enough to you hear his breath.
"Drop that fuckin' attitude." He whispers. Chris turns your body by your wrist, your eyes burning in fire staring at his. His other hand is grabbing your waist, pressing his fingertips on your skin covered by the black dress. You would've resisted his touch if you weren't mad at him, but you are and you're not together anymore.
"Go fuck the girl you were holding and forget me." You say, pushing his chest and walking away from him. Chris punches the table, the noise making some people look at him, he sighs with his nose scrunched and walks back to his group of friends.
He wasn't with the girl he was holding the waist, actually she's just a childhood friend of him and his brothers and she's hundred percent not into guys, since she's a lesbian. But you didn't know, you feel the jealousy burn in your chest, wanting to punch the girl's face. You walk back to the couch, sitting in the middle of Lena and Adrien, your dance partner, they didn't ask what's the problem, not even when you grabbed Adrien's cup from his hand. They just let you forget all your problems for a night.
You can feel your head dizzy, your eyes look foggy, but you don't care. You giggling like crazy over something a random guy said, but you didn't even know what he was saying, because you're too drunk to pay attention. Unlike you, Chris didn't put even a drop of alcohol in his mouth, he watched you the whole night like a hunter watches his prey. Paying attention to every move you did, like when you almost fell and your new boyfriend — he thought — held you by the waist, you hugged him. This makes Chris' blood boil, but he didn't do anything, because he was waiting for the moment you'll need him, because he knew you would need.
Chris didn't want to go to this party, not because he doesn't like the host, but because he wasn't in the mood. But when Matt told him you would be there, he changed his mind. A couple of days ago, he had a conversation with Matt, he helped Chris to realize his feelings for you.
[ flashback ]
"What's wrong with ya'?" Matt asks, grabbing a drink from the fridge. Chris shakes his shoulders, busy watching a movie on the TV. He's been watching movies and locked in his room for weeks, Matt was tired of watching his brother suffering because of a relationship.
Even though Chris didn't say anything about breaking up with you, Matt knew something was off, because it's been three weeks since the last time he saw you in their house. The last time, you and Chris were making out in the kitchen. Even if he hates it when you do that, he still doesn't want to see Chris like this.
"Where's Y/N? It's been years since the last time I saw her." Matt says again, walking towards the couch. Chris glances at him, huffing and rolling his eyes.
"I don't fuckin' know, leave me alone." He snaps, looking at Matt with his eyebrows frowned in anger. Matt throws his hand, taking a deep breath next.
"Did you break up?" He asks, sipping his soda and staring at Chris. He looks at Matt, thinking about leaving the living room, but he just sighs and slowly nods with his head. "I saw the bouquet in the trash."
"She threw on me." Chris says, crossing his arms on his chest as Matt nods with his head, leaning his body to rest the soda can on the coffee table and grabbing the wallet above them. "I went to see her dance, ya' know? But when we were leaving her mother appeared and she saw I was a friend of her, do ya' believe it? I defended her from her stupid mother and all I received was being called a friend." He takes a sharp breath, his eyes burning wanting to cry. Actually, he didn't even know why he wanted to cry. "In the car she got mad at me, said that I never asked her, so she wasn't wrong, damn."
"Wait, you're telling me that you got mad at her because she called you a friend, but you didn't even ask her out?" Matt asks, trying to understand the whole story, but Chris catches his sarcastic tone. He shakes his head in disbelief as he lights the joint on his lips, he takes a hit and a cloud of smoke goes out of his mouth as he says. "She wasn't wrong as much as you think she wasn't, you clearly were just friends with benefits."
"I can't believe that shit, Matt." Chris says, throwing his hands on his lap. Matt giggles letting out a bit of smoke, Chris grabs the joint from his lips and takes a hint.
"Yeah, actually friends with benefits don't have feelings for each other. You're just an idiot."
Feelings. Feelings? Chris never thought of this possibility, because he never thought he would be in love with someone, even though this someone was you. A strange feeling fills his chest, thinking about the moments he spent together with you, all of the deals you went with him, the night you spent together, everything. Since Chris met you, all he wanted was you, he literally blocked all the girls he usually had sex, because you were special. You deserve more than sex, you deserve everything and he ruined everything.
"So you're gonna stay here acting like a stupid or you gonna do anything to fix the things with her?"
"I don't know what to do, actually." Chris assumes. Matt shakes his head.
"Well, she'll be at a party tomorrow night, at Henry's house. I know you hate him, but is your chance to do something." Chris rolls his eyes, he hates Henry, but he can hold it for you, but just for a night. If he sees him again, he'll punch his face for the day he tries to flirt with you. Chris nods, accepting going to the party with his friends, just for you.
"How do you know all that shit? You must've a secret girlfriend." Chris teases, grabbing the joint from his hand again.
"I'm just smarter than you, Chris." Matt says, Chris smacked his shoulder. "And I don't have a secret girlfriend, because I know how friends with benefits work."
[ end of the flashback ]
So, Chris now knows his feelings for you and wants desperately to fix the things with you, but you apparently already find it a new one. He's jealous, of course he's, because his look speaks more than words. Matt offers him a joint, he's doing the deals tonight, since Chris is busy watching you, but he denies. He wants to stay sober, like this he could keep taking care of you, because he didn't trust anyone in this party. He knows he'll not fix anything with you in that drunk state, but at least he wants to know everything is okay, because he cares about you too much to leave you alone somewhere, even though you were with your friends, he's the only one who can keep you safe.
"Shit, doll." Chris mumbles when he sees you lift from the couch and stumble until the bathroom hallway, your friends run to you, but Chris stops them. "I'll take care of her, you did enough for tonight." He says, stepping up his walk to the bathroom.
The door was unlocked, he quickly stepped in and closed the door again. He lowered behind your back, caressing your back and tugging your hair from your face as you put your guts out. Chris sighs, he knows this would happen, you can't drink that much and your stupid friends didn't stop you.
"Get out." You mumble, breathing hard. Chris didn't answer, he just keeps caressing your back until you feel better.
"You good?" He puts his hands on your forehead, lifting your head and pulling you next to his body.
"Mhm." You hum, cleaning your mouth with the back of your hand. You let Chris lay your body against his, you rest your head on his chest, taking deep breaths as he massages your scalp with his fingertips. "I'm gonna find my friends." You say, trying to lift from the ground, but your legs look like noodles, Chris stops you.
"You're not going anywhere in that state, you're going home with me." Chris demands, lifting from the ground and then holds you under your armpits. You're so stubborn, but he's stronger than this.
"Why are you doing this with me? Treating me like I'm a baby!" You huff, resting your hands on the sink, when you almost lose the balance. Chris sighs, he flushes the toilet and asks you to watch your mouth. You did it and he holds you by the waist, in case you lose the balance again. "I'm not going home, you're not my boyfriend."
"I might not, but I still know you, so I'm gonna take care of your drunk ass." He snaps, but regrets when your lower lip turns into a pouty. You look so cute pounding, he almost smiles. "You're going to make this easy for you or I have to carry you to the car?" He asks, you cross your arms against your chest staring at him. "Fine, you choose this."
He grabs your waist and lifts you from the ground, putting his arm under your thighs. You try to fight against him, but you're weaker than him sober, in a drunk state is even worse. Chris walks out of the bathroom, carrying you until his group of friends, looking for Matt. He smiles when he sees you together, but they disappear when he sees you look kinda angry.
"Hey, can I leave with the car?" Chris asks, ignoring you mumbling curses to him. Matt just nods and gives him the car keys, he can leave later with Nate. "Tell her friends she's fine."
"I'm not leaving." You mumble. You give up the fight against Chris, just accept the fact he'll not let you stay in the party.
"You already are, doll." Chris says, laughing.
He walks towards the car, he opens the door for you and gently puts you inside, helping with the belt. When he was walking around the car to get on the driver seat, you start to remember the night of the fight. How upset you feel — and still feeling —, the way you screamed at Chris and threw the flowers on him. The flowers were so beautiful and you just threw them on his face. Suddenly, you feel the urge to cry, the car in silence again making it worse.
"What did you. . . Oh, doll, why are you crying?" Chris asks when he hears your sobs, at first he thought you were trying to say something. He sighs, stopping at the red lights, he turns to you and cleans the tears on your cheeks. "No, no. Don't cry like this, there's no reason."
"I didn't mean to throw the flowers on you, I love that bouquet. They smelled so good and it was so beautiful." You sob, looking like someone has turned the faucet of your eyes on. The tears falling one after another, dripping from your chin. Chris coos, giving you a sad smile, caressing your cheek with his thumb.
"It's okay, babydoll. I'll buy you a new bouquet." Chris says. You take a sharp breath, slowly nodding, cleaning your tears with the back of your hand, but still hiccuping.
"Stop crying now, you're gonna gag."
Your hiccups already stopped when you got home, Chris parked the car and jumped out. He helps you to get out of the car and carry you to the door, Lena is with your purse at the party, but fortunately Chris still has his keys. Chris walks towards the kitchen, putting you on the balcony, he looks for a glass in the cabinet, putting cold water for you. You drink the whole water and give the glass to Chris, mumbling a 'thank you'. He carries you to your room, you're not complaining about anything anymore, actually you snuggle on Chris' chest, slowly falling asleep.
He changes your clothes, even though you are kinda sweaty, doesn't feel right to give you a shower in the state you are in and not resolved yet. Chris just puts on you one of your cute and fluff pajamas and cleans the makeup on your face, like he always does. You smile lazily at Chris, he kisses your forehead, climbing out of the bed to throw the dirty cotton in the trash. He walks back to cover you and say goodnight, but you stare at him with a little pouty on your lip.
"What's wrong, hm? You feeling sick again?" Chris asks as he pats your hair. You shake your head, shifting to the right. "You want me to sleep with you? No, doll, not tonight."
"Just stay with me until I sleep, please." You always convince Chris with a pouty. He nods and slowly climbs on the bed, putting himself under the blanket, he massages your scalp to help you feel drowsy, more than you always are feeling. "I want to say sorry." You whisper.
"We talk by the morning, doll. Just sleep, I'm not going anywhere." He keeps massaging your hair, you just nod and slowly close your eyes, quickly falling asleep. Chris stayed with you for only an hour, when he was sure you wouldn't wake up, he moved towards the couch to sleep there.
He keeps awake for another hour, wondering about you. He's scared, what if you don't want him again and knock you out? Or you throw something worse than flowers on his face? He just wants to fix everything with you and finally ask you out, he's not the best romantic, but he'll do the best for you. He falls asleep at some point, on the couch you used to watch movies, make out and. . . Well, whatever.
You wake up with a terrible headache, at least you're on your own bed. Your stomach groans when you smell the scent of food, you frown your eyebrows wanting to know who's cooking. When you climb out of the bed, your feet are covered with socks, you stretch your hair as you walk downstairs, the smell gets more delicious, your mouth is already watering. To your surprise, when you got in the kitchen, the table had pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, you don't like it, just Chris.
Chris was putting boiling water on two mugs, you smell your favorite tea. A smile grows on your lips, you wait for him to turn around and see you. He almost scared himself when he turns and sees you standing there with your eyes puffy and your hair messed.
"I made breakfast." He says, smiling and showing the mugs with tea. You lift your eyebrows, Chris doesn't know how to cook, you look at the balcony and see the delivery bags, you giggle. "Okay, I bought breakfast, but I made tea."
"Thank you, I appreciate it." You say, walking forward the chair, Chris puts your mug on the table near you. You frown your eyebrows in confusion when he puts his mug down and walks to the laundry, he returns with a big bouquet of roses with a little piece of paper, a letter. "Oh, Chris. Thank you, you didn't have to."
"I told you I would buy you flowers." He walks until you, giving you the bouquet. You grab it, holding it next to your nose to smell the scent, Chris kneels down, waiting for you to read his letter. You pick the paper smiling. "Doll, I'm really sorry, I never meant to say what I said. You're the one that I want. With love, Chris." You read.
"So, do you forgive me?* Chris asks, rubbing your thigh, staring at you with puppy eyes. You never saw him look at you like this before, you find it so cute.
"You don't even have to ask!" You say. Chris lifts from the ground and holds your chin, pressing your lips together. You missed his touch so much and Chris missed you too, he was about to fall sick without you. "Wait, I'm sorry for throwing the flowers on you and for not telling my mom we were together."
"You weren't wrong, I never asked you to be my girlfriend, but now I'm gonna bring you on a date and ask you out, like you deserve." He brushes his finger on your cheek, you lean your head on his hand, your heart melting for the way you feel next to Chris. "Don't worry about that anymore, babydoll."
"I adore you, Chris." You say, staring at his blue eyes, your heart beating faster on your chest, your hands sweating and your lips leaned in a big smile.
"I adore you too much, doll." He kisses your lips, his chin brushing against the flowers, he chuckles against your lips. "Damn, I missed you so much."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm not easy to forget." You tease, giving a peck on Chris lips. He rolls his eyes, but you're not wrong. You're so hard to forget. "Chris." You whine. "I'm starving!"
"Fine, let's eat before you get fussy." He says and grabs the bouquet from your hand to put on a glass later.
You eat together, Chris spends the whole day taking care of your hangover. He never felt so happy, for a guy who never expected to fall in love with someone, you completely changed his mind. All he wants is you and no one more in the world, he wants you to be his girlfriend. You really adore him, actually your feelings are slowly turning in more than only adore, Chris was the only guy who ever made you feel passionate, the only one who treats you well. For a girl who never expected to fall in love with a dealer, Chris completely changed your mind.

note: so so so happy to hear that you love my sylus fics! and thank you so much for the adorable request! ask and you shall receive ✨️
- second acc: @blushpawss
you were in the kitchen, finishing up the dishes from lunch, when you realized it had been quiet for a while—too quiet. usually, your little girl was a bundle of energy, running around and chattering nonstop. you had expected to hear her laughter or the sound of toys being moved around, but the house was oddly silent. a small smile tugged at your lips. she was probably up to something.
“sylus?” you called out softly, drying your hands on a towel. you remembered that sylus had taken her to the living room to play while you cleaned up. it wasn’t unusual for him to entertain her while you got things done, but the quietness made you a little curious.
you walked toward the living room, ready to call out again, but you stopped when you heard the sweetest sound—a tiny burst of giggles followed by sylus’s deep, playful voice. you couldn’t help but peek around the corner, wanting to see what they were up to.
and then there they were.
the sight made your heart melt instantly. sylus, who always seemed so strong and serious to everyone else, was sitting cross-legged on the floor, a bright pink tiara sitting slightly crooked on his head. a sparkly purple cape draped over his broad shoulders. he had even put on a pair of glittery princess slippers that barely fit his feet. his eyes, usually so intense, were soft and full of joy.
your daughter stood on the couch, holding a toy wand high in the air, her little face filled with excitement. “daddy! there’s a dragon coming!” she said dramatically, pointing the wand toward some invisible enemy.
sylus put on a shocked expression, gasping in surprise. “a dragon? oh no!” he said, putting his hands on his cheeks as if he was truly scared. “what are we going to do, princess?”
“i’ll protect you, daddy!” she declared, her tiny voice full of determination. she waved the wand again, trying to look as brave as possible.
sylus’s face lit up with a proud smile. “you’re the bravest princess ever!” he said, his voice filled with warmth. “i know you’ll save us!”
you couldn’t help but smile to yourself, staying hidden in the doorway as you watched. it was hard to believe that this was the same man who was always so serious around others, always in control. but here, with your daughter, he was completely different. he was playful, gentle, and so full of love.
“take that, dragon!” your daughter yelled suddenly, swinging her wand through the air. sylus played along, flinching and pretending to dodge her imaginary attacks.
“oh no, you’re too strong!” he said, holding his hands up as if surrendering to her. “i can’t fight back! you’ve got me!”
“i did it!” she squealed, laughing as she jumped off the couch into his waiting arms. “i saved you, daddy! the dragon is gone!”
sylus caught her easily, spinning her around in a circle until her giggles filled the entire room. “you did it!” he said, his voice full of pride, “you saved the day, princess! you are the bravest and strongest princess in the whole kingdom!”
your daughter’s smile was so big it looked like it might burst off her face. she wrapped her arms around sylus’s neck, hugging him tightly as he held her close. you watched them, feeling warmth spread through your chest. you loved seeing them like this—seeing sylus, who was always so serious, completely wrapped around your little girl’s finger.
feeling the joy and love in the room, you decided it was time to join in. you stepped fully into the living room with a teasing smile on your face. “what’s going on here?” you asked playfully, raising an eyebrow at the sight of sylus in his sparkly cape and tiara.
your daughter gasped and wriggled out of sylus’s arms, running over to you as fast as her little legs could carry her. “mommy! mommy!” she said excitedly, grabbing your hand. “i beat the dragon! daddy was the dragon, and i saved the kingdom!”
you couldn’t help but smile as you looked at your daughter. her face was such a perfect mix of both you and sylus, a blend that still amazed you every time you looked at her. she had your dark brown hair, but there were faint silver streaks running through it—the same shade as sylus’s hair. it was like she had inherited just a touch of his unique coloring, enough to make her look like both of you in the most beautiful and unique way.
her sharp red eyes, just like her daddy’s, sparkled with joy as she played. the rest of her face—her small nose, the shape of her lips—was all you. it was like seeing a little version of yourself, but with sylus’s intensity and his striking gaze. sometimes, when she looked up at you with those bright red eyes, it took your breath away. she was a perfect blend of both her parents, and it filled you with a sense of pride and love you could barely put into words.
you laughed softly, kneeling down to her level and brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “you’re so brave, sweetheart,” you said, giving her a big hug, “and you look like the most beautiful princess in the world.”
“she really is,” sylus said, his voice tender as he watched the two of you. he stood up, still wearing the silly tiara, and walked over to you with a grin on his face. he looked so different from his usual self—so relaxed, so happy. you couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of him, reaching up to adjust the tiara that was falling off his head.
“i have to say,” you teased, “this is quite the look for you, sylus. pink really suits you.”
he chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close. “anything for my princesses,” he said softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
your daughter, feeling left out, tugged on sylus’s cape. “daddy! we have to have a royal feast! it’s what princesses do after they beat the dragon!”
sylus nodded seriously, crouching down to her level. “you’re absolutely right, princess,” he said, giving her a conspiratorial smile. “and what should our royal feast be?”
“cookies!” she said without hesitation, her eyes lighting up.
“cookies it is,” sylus said, scooping her up and carrying her toward the kitchen. “come on, my brave princess, let’s bake some cookies together.”
you followed them, laughing softly as you watched your husband—a man who had once been so distant and serious—completely melt under the adoring gaze of your little girl. it was moments like these that made you realize just how much he had changed, how much he had opened his heart to you and your daughter.
and you knew that no matter what, your family would always be full of love, laughter, and moments like this—moments where dragons were defeated, princesses saved the day, and even the most serious of men wore pink tiaras just to make his daughter smile.
as you watched sylus whisk her off to the kitchen for their “royal feast”, a memory surfaced in your mind—a tiny flashback to when you were pregnant. it had been a tough pregnancy at times, but sylus had been there every step of the way, taking care of you with a tenderness that had completely shattered his tough exterior.
you remembered the nights when he would stay awake, gently rubbing your swollen feet or running his fingers through your hair as you lay in bed, struggling to get comfortable. “you need to rest,” he would say, his voice soft but firm, as he adjusted your pillows for the hundredth time. you could still feel the warmth of his touch, the way his strong hands had been so gentle with you, always making sure you were as comfortable as possible.
and then, the day of the delivery—the most intense, overwhelming day of your life. you had been terrified, exhausted, and in so much pain, but sylus had been right there, holding your hand and whispering words of encouragement the entire time. he had never left your side, his eyes full of love and determination, telling you over and over how strong you were, how amazing you were for bringing their child into the world. the way he looked at you then had made you feel like you could do anything.
you remembered how, after hours of labor, when your daughter’s first cries filled the room, tears had streamed down sylus’s face. he had kissed your forehead, his voice breaking as he said, “you did it, my love... you’re incredible.” it was the first time you had ever seen him cry, and it was a moment you would never ever forget.
after she was born, sylus had taken on the role of caretaker with a dedication that had surprised even you. he was always there, changing diapers in the middle of the night without a single complaint, carefully supporting you as you recovered, making sure you had everything you needed. he had even held your daughter for hours at a time so you could get some much-needed sleep, his strong arms cradling her tiny body like she was the most precious thing in the world.
you were pulled out of the memory as your daughter’s laughter echoed through the kitchen. you walked over to join them, and when you stepped in, you saw sylus kneeling on the floor, his hands cupping your daughter’s cheeks as he pretended to taste-test the imaginary cookies she was “baking”. his expression was soft and full of warmth, a look he only ever showed when he was with the two of you.
“come on, mommy! help us make cookies!” your daughter called out, waving her small arms at you, her dark hair catching the light and revealing the silvery strands she’d gotten from sylus.
“i’m coming, baby,” you said, unable to hold back the sweet smile that spread across your face. you sat down next to sylus, and he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you close.
he pressed a gentle kiss to your temple, his breath warm against your skin. “you okay, sweetie?” he asked softly, noticing the faraway look in your eyes.
you nodded, leaning into his touch. “just... remembering,” you said quietly, your voice full of emotion. “remembering everything you did for us.”
sylus’s eyes softened, and he gave you a small smile, pressing another kiss to your forehead. “i’d do it all over again,” he said simply, his voice full of sincerity. “for both of you.”
your daughter climbed into your lap, oblivious to the emotions between you and sylus, her eyes wide and happy. you kissed her forehead, feeling the familiar warmth of your family surrounding you. and you knew, without a doubt, that no matter what challenges came your way, you would always face them together.
because in that moment, with your daughter’s arms wrapped around you and sylus’s strong, comforting presence by your side, you knew that you had everything you’d ever need.
and you wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Tumblr media
you rolled over to face the window and admire the way the sun rose right into christian’s side of the tour bus this morning. “beautiful isn’t it?” he mumbled, now also rolling over to hold you. “very,” you hummed, wiggling your ass against him trying to get closer to him which… wasn’t possible. he pressed his body against yours and you felt his cock against your ass, growing in response. “don’t start,” he warned, nuzzling his face into your neck. “start what?,” you played dumb and pushed against him again. “baby..” he groaned into your neck. “you’ve done this every morning since tour started and i’m getting fed up.”
expecting him to huff out a defeated breath and walk off to the bathroom like normal, you kept wiggling against him. instead of his sulky, too-tired-to-be-horny behavior however, he bit into your neck lightly making you whimper. “i told you i’m fed up. now, knock it off before i fuck the brat out of you for anyone on, or around this damn bus to hear,” he growled at a hushed volume. you whined at his words, so shocked, you were unable to respond coherently. christian acting in such a way wasn’t out of the ordinary by any means. you’re a brat with him through and through and he always took care of you however he saw fit. but… on the bus? with all of his friends and team mere feet away (so you both thought) from you guys, nothing but a curtain separating your bed from theirs’? you never thought he’d have the gaul to do anything about your bratty behavior here.
“oh yeah?” you taunted breathily, risking one last push against him with your ass.
he reached up, his tattooed hand grabbing your throat. “alright you fucking deviant, you wanna play so bad, get down there,” he demanded.
“b-but ian what about-“
“everyone else? well you obviously don’t care. do you?” he squeezed at your throat. “hm?”
“i- fuck,” you choked out, struggling to speak.
“you started this shit, darling. and now you’re gonna finish it.”
he let go of your neck and you knew you had to make your way down to his cock or else things wouldn’t end well for you. getting on top of him then inching your way down his body, you never broke eye contact. “fuck y/n, you’re so beautiful,” he breathed cupping your face. you just smiled and began to shimmy his sweats down along w his boxers. he let out a muffled groan when you took him into your cold hand, pumping him slowly. “be a doll and put it in your fucking mouth, would you?” you both were lucky that the sound of the bus’s a/c was loud enough to drown his voice and your noises out for anyone who may be there to hear.
you took all of him in your mouth in one go, christian subconsciously groaning out at the sudden sensation. while slowly bobbing your head up and down, you hummed around his cock making him twitch in your mouth. “god you’re so good for me, love. fuck- need to fuck you.” he mumbled, grabbing a fist full of your hair and lightly pulling you off of him with a pop. lips swollen and pink with drool covering your chin, you smirked up at him, knowing how crazy things were about to get.
again, you never would’ve thought that christian would be brave enough to do anything about your bratty behavior on the bus with everyone around. however, now that he’d started something, you knew he wouldn’t stop until you both were satisfied. it didnt matter if anyone would be able to hear, or see.
“come here gorgeous,” he growled as you started climbing up his body to straddle him. he reached an arm up to your neck to bring you down closer to him. “it’s already a tight fit in here, so stay close, yeah?” he panted. he sounded almost… needy, and you were loving it. “yeah?” you started grinding your clothed cunt against his exposed cock. “is that what you want, daddy?” you taunted, knowing damn well he wasn’t the one in charge in this moment. his breath hitched as his eyes pierced into yours. “no space between us hm?” you dipped your head down into the rook of his neck leaving open mouthed kisses all over. “fuck baby, yes. yes please,” the nickname you’d just given him really got to him, especially with the situation making it so ironic. you had a grip on him right now, and he knew it.
“ian?” yongwoo’s voice came from above. “uh- y-yeah?” christian stuttered out. you began to grind down on him harder, making it nearly impossible to keep his composure. “watcha doing down there buddy?” he asked, peaking down and slightly opening the curtain. both yours and christian’s heads whipped to where yongwoo was already gawking. you smiled at him and christian could barely manage to even make eye contact with him. “hi woo,” you said innocently. he chuckled as if this were a regular occurrence, “hey y/n.” you felt christian’s cock twitch against you. was he actually enjoying this? he then cleared his throat, “dude, do you mind?” you now knew he was faking his annoyance. “mo just texted. he’s out grabbing breakfast with everyone. you guys want anything?” yongwoo asked looking away. “hmmm…” you pondered for a moment, christian actually growing a bit irritated because all he wanted in this moment was to fuck you. “i’ll have some pancakes and hashbrowns please and thank you,” you smiled. “same here,” christian said bluntly. “alright i’ll leave you two… to it.” yongwoo laughed then closed the curtain again, hopping off his bunk to head out. “so are we the only ones in here?!” christian yelled after him. you slowly started grinding down on him again. “go crazy!” yongwoo yelled back, closing the door behind him.
“alright, you brat,” christian spat, “get off.” now that you two were alone… you were a bit scared. (in an exhilarating way of course) you got off, laying down next to him without even being told to. he sat up as much as he could in the crammed bunk space, “roll over,” he demanded. you did so, rolling onto your tummy beneath him. with his free hand (his other arm holding himself up) christian pulled down your underwear past your ass, then wrapped his arm around your hips, pulling them up so your ass was slightly elevated and pressed against his pelvis. he winced, and you moaned at the feeling of his cock sliding between your thighs, and grazing your wet cunt. “ian, please fuck me,” you whined with your cheek pressed against his pillow. “patience dear,” he whispered in your ear. he reached down to line himself up with your cunt, slipping himself into you with ease. “fuck!” you whimpered and he groaned in unison when he bottomed out. he started fucking you without hesitation. the sound of his skin clapping against yours. within seconds, the window next to you two started fogging up from your collective body heat. “o-open the curtain up,” you choked out between whimpers. “oh i see,” christian pushed it open upon your request. “want the window to clear up so everyone can see me ruin your sopping cunt,” he grunted not slowing down his pace. you honestly were just getting too hot, but you didn’t have the energy to argue back right now. and… christian bringing up that point lit a fire inside your tummy. you hadn’t even took into consideration the fact that with the way the sun was hitting the window, if anyone at the stop was walking close enough, they could look in and faintly see you getting railed by your boyfriend.
“fucking hell it’s too crammed in here,” christian breathed before pulling out of you and stepping out of the bunk. he grabbed your hips and turned you so your lower half came off the bed and your knees rested on the floor. he then got on his knees too and started pounding into you again, this time with more intent. suddenly, your phone started buzzing. “momo” lit up your screen. “pick it up,” christian said in a low tone, slowing down his movements, but not stopping. you cleared your throat then accepted the call.
“h-hello?” you choked out.
“oh shit i’m sorry, y/n. i didn’t mean to wake you.”
“n-no you didn’t it’s okay.”
“okay… well we’re all gonna eat here at the restaurant. it’s right around the corner from the rest stop. you guys want to meet us there?”
“ian?” you tried to ask innocently, so hyungmo wouldn’t suspect anything. “do you want to e-eat there with them?” christian slightly sped up his movements, “we’ll be there in 10!” he answered directly to him. you were biting your lip so hard you thought it might bleed trying to keep yourself quiet.
“okay, sick! see you guys soon.”
*beep beep beep*
you threw your phone down and flopped your cheek back down on the bed while christian started fucking you back into the bunk in a feral manner. “we better hurry up then, huh?” he said smugly. you began to cry out and moan as a knot started to suddenly form in your tummy. you looked up and out the window in a haze. you slowly started to make out yongwoo walking back toward the tour bus, still quite a bit of distance away. struggling to speak, you simply whimpered “y-yongwoo,” trying with all your strength to lift an arm to point out the window. “i say you have a minute to cum,” he said pointedly, reaching an arm around to start rubbing circles on your clit. “fuck!” you screamed out, throwing your face into the bed. the knot in your tummy tightened and tightened. your body suddenly started shaking your orgasm quickly ripped through your body. “good fucking girl,” christian groaned fucking you through your orgasm as he reached his mere seconds after.
yongwoo was now almost to the bus and you started to panic, coming down from your high. christian slowly pulled himself out of you, then quickly covered your cream filled cunt back up with your underwear. “keep it in during breakfast,” he whispered gently from behind you, kissing you on your cheek like nothing happened. as if you’re not still bent over his bed, fucked out. he grabbed you from under your arms like a child and hoisted you up. you turned around to face him, his arms hovering around you in case you stumbled. “i love you,” you cooed through half lidded eyes. he kissed your forehead, “i love you more.” you leaned in, capturing him in a soft, but deep kiss. when you pulled away you beamed, “love you most!” before quickly walking over to wear your clothes were stored, grabbing sweats.
as you were stepping into your second pant leg, yongwoo walked in. “oh thank god,” he sighed, seeing you both almost fully dressed. “ian, put a shirt on,” he joked before grabbing his sweatshirt off the couch at the front of the bus. “it’s also a little cold so, sweatshirts too,” he suggested before walking off the bus again.
you both looked at each other, shrugging knowing you’d both go out in t-shirts to cool down.

Notes: LISTEN I wish I could control my creative brain but I can’t. *taps mic* Ok, so, who's ready for our little monthly crying session? This actually came to me in a dream after I listened to Happiness is a butterfly, and I ended up incorporating some of the lyrics in the story. I was only contemplating writing this when Anon sent this request asking for angst after a big fight, and I thought it goes perfectly with what I had in mind.
Hope it's to your liking, Anon!

“Fernando,” You whispered like it wasn’t wrong, like his name was a prayer.
Fernando knew it was wrong, not only because you were a driver and his teammate, but also because you were way too young for him. But whenever you two were like that, you in his arms, it felt so right, so perfect.
Sometimes he wondered to himself if he took advantage of you. Because ever since you first met, you looked at him with big shiny eyes, like you were facing a hero. He knew you were a fan of his, but then again, most of the younger drivers were. But when you two became teammates and got closer, he’d notice how your eyes would find his first thing after entering any room. Whenever you two had chats alone, you’d smile at him in a specific way you didn’t smile at anyone else, blush creeping up your face.
It was so easy to be enchanted by you, by your kindness and willingness. Fernando was drawn to you like a moth to flame, only you didn’t burn him. You were kind to everyone and very talkative, and for a while, Fernando wondered how you managed to get into Formula 1 and keep your spirit intact. Everyone called you a social butterfly. Then he started calling you Mariposa, as a sweet nickname, and he explained to you it meant “Butterfly”.
You two were always together, being teammates, so it didn’t take long for the dynamic shift. Soon, there were longing looks and lingering touches. The way Fernando would always touch the small of your back for a little too long when talking to you, or the way you lean too close whenever talking to him, or the way his eyes stare at your lips every opportunity. Or when you finished a good race and the first thing you’d do was jump on his arms. How you’d always knock three times on his helmet right before going off to the race, he started reciprocating the gesture, since he knew it was probably your thing for good luck or something.
Things went like that for too long, and neither of you were brave enough to take the jump, as you called it.
That until fate put you face to face during summer break. You were in Mallorca with a bunch of your friends for a girls trip in a resort by the sea. You were having brunch when you spotted Fernando at the same time he spotted you, his eyebrows raising in surprise, he muttered something to the people with him that looked like his family members, before coming to you.
“Mariposa!” He hugged you softly.
“Hi! Good to see you!” You chirped, nervously.
Fernando blatantly checked you out. You were wearing simple bikinis and a light beach robe. You were tanned, hair wild and cheeks red like you had come straight out of one of his wet dreams.
“Enjoying summer break?” He asked.
“Yeah, with my friends,” You pointed to where they waited for you at the table, “will you be here for long?”
“No, my family is going back today and I’m leaving tomorrow. We’ve been here for a few days already.”
You waved him goodbye after a quick chat. That night, the weather, the breeze and the empty villa tempted him into calling you. He didn’t want to be that guy so he resisted the urge, instead going for a walk by the beach, alone. As fate would have it, he found you at a small beach party with your friends, dancing and drinking.
Like a magnet, your eyes found his, and you said something to your friends before walking up to him.
“You came to the party?” You asked.
“No, I was just taking a walk and passed by,” He shrugged, and started walking away “I’ll let you go back to your friends.”
“No! No- I mean- Can I walk with you?” You asked and he just nodded.
You two walked away by the shore, the small waves crashing over your feet, and you two chatting about the island and all the adventures you got to go.
“So you went diving, surfing? Everything?”
“I have always been kind of a scaredy-cat, especially as a kid. My dad used to tell me ‘you just have to breathe ten seconds of courage and take the jump’. Funnily, racing was the only thing I wasn’t afraid of. I’m in control, me and the car are one.”
He listened to you for a long while, his eyes focused on the way the wind picked up your hair, your dress flowy in the wind and your bikini top peeking from under the neckline. You were looking delicious, he had to admit. You always were, but now, after spending the whole day under the sun, your skin was golden and glowy, and he imagined himself biting into your shoulder and kissing up your neck.
When you two finally stopped by the villa, Fernando looked at you attentively.
“Won’t your boyfriend be worried about you?”
“I don’t have a boyfriend,” you shook your head knowing that he was just trying to find out if you had someone.
“You don’t? Well you’re pretty and nice, I thought you’d have one by now.”
“You think I’m pretty?” You asked, blushing which made him chuckle.
“You know you are stunning.”
“Well, I know I’m pretty, I just didn’t know if I am pretty enough for you.”
“Mariposa,” his voice had a tone of reprimand, but his eyes falling down your cleavage and body, betrayed him.
“Just one kiss?” You asked, pouting, “and we don’t even have to talk about it after.”
“I can’t.”
“But you want to?” You asked, full of hope.
“We should not,” he whispered as you closed the distance to his face, your face barely centimeters from his, lips dangerously close.
“We could just,” you tried to come up with an argument, but your lips brushed his beard and you lost all train of thought.
“If we start, I will not be able to stop,” he mumbled, trying so hard to refrain himself.
“Then don’t.”
That’s all it took for him to press his fingers to your nape, pulling you in and smashing his lips to yours. And it felt divine, like nothing he had ever done before, you were sweet and the harder he kissed you, the more pliant you got in his arms, sighing and moaning softly as his hand found home over your ass, pressing firmly until your whole body was flush to his.
“Fernando,” you whispered, his lips going down your neck, his beard making goosebumps raise on your skin.
Then you walked inside without really breaking apart. Fernando pulled your dress from your body, staring at you in your bikini.
“This is tiny,” he said, hooking a finger by the string on the sides of the bottom.
You smiled some way you hoped was seductive, taking a step back so he could see you fully as you pulled the strings, letting your bikini top fall to the floor, followed by the bottom soon after.
Soon he had you bent over the back of the sofa, holding onto the seat for dear life as he knelt behind you and ate you out, fingering you ass all the way to a mind blowing orgasm. Then he fucked you senseless, whispering dirty nothings into your ear, switching English and Spanish back and forth. He slapped your ass until it was stinging, whispering about your “tempting tiny bikini”. He had you groaning, drooling against the sofa until your toes curled and you came around his cock.
“Nano… Fuck-” you moaned feeling him cumming too.
He cuddled you, both of you falling on the sofa, spent.
“Why were we holding back? We should’ve done this a long time ago.” You said, lips brushing his beard.
He didn’t answer because he knew why he had been holding back. You were young, sometimes naive, and his teammate. It was double the trouble. But he didn’t allow himself to wallow in those feelings, rather focusing on the feel of you naked in his arms.
“You know what we should do? Stay here a bit longer,” you rose from his chest, eyes glinting mischievously, “we should extend our stay here.”
“Just you and me?”
“Just us,” you whispered, planting a kiss on his chest.
And so you stayed with him. You sent your friends to Ibiza as a gift and Fernando extended his rent on the villa. You’d spend the day lazing around, cooking together and going to the beach or the pool. You played tennis and trained together in the small gym. You made love on every possible surface of that whole villa, which left you spent and satisfied every single day.
And you talked. Fernando considered you to be one of the closests people to him on the grid, but still, he learned so much more about you, about your mental strength to rise and thrive in motorsport. And you were clever and witty, joking around him, talking about life and all your dreams. And he could hear you for hours on end, never getting tired of you.
Unfortunately, your little time of uninterrupted happiness had to end. With a heavy heart, you kissed him goodbye, both of you aware that things would never go back to the way they were before summer break. But you two were also too scared to name anything, or to ruin whatever this dynamic was.
But you left Mallorca admitting to yourself that you had fallen in love even deeper.
You tried to keep texting and calling him, but you usually were in very different time zones so the texts were few and far between. Fernando even sent you a sweet text on your birthday a few of days later.
There was a gala by the end of summer break almost three weeks later, hosted by the FIA, it was mostly for mingling, and most drivers usually went, especially those trying to keep an image to the big shots.
Fernando went there because he rarely missed it. And maybe because he knew you would be there too, and maybe he could leave with you.
You arrived a little late, stunning in a green gown, with a tight corset and a big slit showing your leg. Fernando watched as you made rounds, greeting people and old men, other drivers that were your friends and their wives or girlfriends. You eventually made your way to Fernando, and he proudly waited for you when you walked up to him, the most beautiful smile adorning your lips and eyes shining just as much as the diamonds on your earrings.
“You’re beautiful, mariposa.” Fernando whispered.
“Thank you, you look handsome too. Love me a man in a tuxedo.” You whispered back conspiratorially, winking at him.
You two chatted for a little, watching the people around. You told him everything you did during summer break after you two parted ways in Mallorca. When the slow music started, you watched the couples getting to the dancefloor.
“Nano, can we dance?” You asked. He just stiffened, face unsure.
“Hm, I’m not sure.”
“Nobody will mind, we’re teammates,” you shrugged.
“I don’t think it's a good idea,” He looked at your face, still staring longingly at the couples slow dancing on the dancefloor. Yearning for something he couldn’t give you.
“Mhm…” You hummed, disappointed. You stood there silent for a couple more minutes, watching the dancefloor. Fernando imagined dancing with you, having you in his arms, listening to your voice, your hand on his shoulder. You cleared your throat for a second, “I’m gonna get a drink.”
You didn’t wait for his response, leaving with long strides to the bar, the opposite side. Fernando’s eyes never left you, he watched as you got a drink and sipped a little, sitting on a bar stool. Some people stopped to greet you quickly. At some point, Charles Leclerc stopped you, whispering something that made you giggle a little, then he offered you a hand, probably inviting you to dance, but you refused politely. You grabbed a second drink and turned on the stool, nursing your drink and still watching the party go on.
You wanted to dance with him, not anyone else.
Eventually, the party died down, and Fernando got close to you again, whispering in your ear to meet him in the most discreet parking lot and then he left. You watched his back as he made his way out. Downing whatever was left of your drink, you stood up, making a quick route to say goodbye to everyone.
Finally, you met Fernando in the car. He had driven himself in his expensive car.
As he drove away in the middle of the night, he put his hand on your thigh under the slit of the dress. You honestly wanted to jump him, to make him stop the car anywhere and just get into it.
Quietly making into his hotel room, you kicked your high heels off and kissed him, not giving him any second before deepening the kiss, pressing your body to his.
“Wait,” he managed to croak out. You took a step back. He went into his luggage and picked a small box, handing it to you, “I know your birthday was two weeks ago, but since I didn’t see you- well, happy birthday.”
“You didn’t have to…” you whispered, opening the box to a beautiful and delicate necklace with a gold butterfly pendant with small diamonds all around the wings, “it’s so beautiful, Fernando.”
“Not as much as you, Mariposa.” He whispered back, taking the necklace, placing you in front of the full body mirror and standing behind you and locking the necklace around your neck.
“Thank you”
He kissed your neck, running a hand down your arm, then kissing your shoulders while pulling the hair pins out of your hair, letting your hair free. He kept leaving hot wet kisses on your skin, calling you “hermosa” and “my mariposa” all while unzipping your dress slowly. You let him do whatever, his hands pushing the corset out until the fabric pooled around your ankles kicking it away too, and you stood in nothing but panties and the necklace.
You gasped, staring at your reflection on the mirror and him behind you, his rough fingertips running over your side, getting to your front and cupping your boobs. You felt soft as his fingers pinched your nipples, making you moan softly.
“You ready to take me?” He asked against your ears.
“Please, Nano,” you moaned his name the way you only said it when you were alone and getting intimate.
“Foot there,” he pointed to a chair. You did as he said, one leg up so he could have better access to your panties.
He pressed his chest to your back, fingers sliding inside your panties to feel your obscene wetness dampening the fabric. His fingers slid right over your clit, spreading your juices all around, before diving into your cunt. You moaned, head lolling back against his shoulder, as he pleasured you nonstop. You had been turned on even since the gala, and the ride to the hotel had been pure torture not being touched. So it didn’t take much for him to build you up, his thumb brushing your clit. Your moaning got louder and with the way he could feel your cunt clenching around his fingers, he knew you were close.
And so he stopped, making you whine. He just chuckled.
“Nano! I was so close!” You pouted.
“Needy girl, get on the bed,” he pointed again, like an order, “you’re cumming around my cock first.”
You sat on the bed slowly, still reeling from almost orgasming. You watched as Fernando started undressing in front of you, so you just ran both hands from his chest down to his thighs, fingers barely touching the straining erection in his pants.
“Don’t get greedy now. Wait.”
With his words, you stopped touching him, leaning back so you could watch him undress. When he finally got rid of all clothing, he leaned, kissing your stomach and up your boobs, mouthing your nipples as his hands pulled your panties, letting you lay down on the edge of the bed. You held his head against your nipples, his eyes finding yours through his eyelashes.
When you were both fully naked, he just held your legs open and sank into your cunt, making you moan loud as you back rose up from the bed.
“Nano- oh, fuck!” You moaned, and pulled by his neck to kiss you.
He kissed you back slowly, patiently contrasting your desperate hands on his shoulder, crawling up his neck, fingertips sinking into his soft hair, as he fucked you slowly, pressing you deliciously into the bed, one hand firmly on the bedrest and the other holding your neck, pressing until you were cumming, his lips sucking hickeys into your skin.
You two were cuddling quietly when you decided to say what you’ve been thinking about ever since Mallorca.
“We should go on a date, Fernando. Take the next step, I really like what we have.”
You could feel him stiffening against you, and you closed your eyes, afraid of what his response would be.
“We can’t, mariposa. You are way younger than me,” He said somberly, “and we’re teammates. This would be too messy for the both of us, but especially for you, who is just starting your career.”
“I don’t mind if that’s the price I need to pay to have you.”
“We can’t take this kind of risk for something we don’t even know it’s real.”
That squeezed your heart and made you angry with his denial.
“Fernando, this is real- You know that!”
“Calling a cab to take you to your hotel,” he said standing up and picking his phone. His tone was cold, detached from you, like you were just some toy for him to have fun with, and now you served your purpose.
“Don’t be like that, Fernando. This is more than just sex,” you got up, covering yourself with the bedsheet because it felt too vulnerable having this conversation naked.
“We can’t be anymore than that. You’re too young to understand.” He said not looking at you.
There was a lump on your throat rapidly forming. He knew you hated when people treated you like you were dumb because you were young.
“Please let us just talk about it-”
“There’s nothing to talk about. This means nothing! Nada!” He exclaimed.
“You don’t mean that. Don’t be a jerk.” Your voice was already wavering.
You stared at his back as he turned around, going to the opposite side of the room, your tears started falling down.
“I don’t want to hurt you.” He finally said but still didn’t look at you.
“I’m already hurt,” you said, picking up your panties from the floor hastily putting them on, realizing how Fernando had helped you with your dress, so you just picked up one of his sweaters and dressed, “do you want me or do you not?”
“I don’t want you.”
“You’re missing good things in life because of fear. Just take the fucking jump, Fernando.”
The next thing he heard was the slamming door behind you.
When he walked back, he noticed you had left the butterfly necklace on the table. Holding the necklace against the palm of his hand, he wondered if he did the right thing or just lost the best thing in his life.
You didn’t text or called him. And he didn’t either. Eventually he texted you, to tell you had “forgot” the necklace, to test the waters.
“You’re the only one who calls me mariposa. This necklace has no meaning to me if you’re not in my life.”
His mind would often wander back to Mallorca, to those few days you and him lived in paradise. Sleeping late, waking up even later, then making love lazily under the sun, sunbathing naked by the pool, and cooking together, training together. There was never silence with you, since you were always talking or singing or playing loud music.
And he missed it. As the weeks progressed and the more race weeks came, you didn’t try to talk to him about the two of you. You were still polite and talkative, usually filling his silence with stories, talks about the track and strategies. You still knocked on his helmet three times before every race, probably a pre race ritual by now.
He missed you. He missed not only the feel of your cunt around his cock, but he missed your loudness, and your laugh. He missed the light in your eyes that was slowly darkening each passing day. Like you were losing hope he would come around and change his mind.
The last race of the season, he was a little late from a meeting, so you were already getting in the car when he came out. Your visor was up, so you just looked at him, and knocked your own helmet three times as a sign to him, who did the same gesture back to you.
By around ⅔ of the race, there was an accident and the red flag was called.
It took maybe two or three minutes until all cars stopped on the pitlane, lined up under the red flag. As Fernando climbed out of the car, he turned around, looking for you, removing his helmet, guard and balaclava, he went inside the garage.
“Where’s Mariposa?” He asked, to one in particular. But then his eyes landed in Martha, your PT, and her eyes were watery as she pointed to the screen.
A sinking feeling expanded in his stomach as he saw your car, that now looked like an unrecognizable wreckage. He dropped his helmet, covering his mouth with a hand. The marshals were all around your burning car, various people with fire extinguishers, trying to lower the fire enough to pull you out.
“Has she responded yet? Did she say anything?” Fernando asked without removing his eyes from the screen.
“No,” Somebody said, somberly.
“She’ll be fine,” Fernando assured, probably trying to convince himself, and his rapid heartbeat. He had seen and had been in many ugly crashes, and in the end, the driver had come out unscathed. He was sure you could manage, you were very strong and stubborn.
When the fire died down enough, a couple of marshals pulled you out, and Fernando’s heart felt like it was stopping as they pulled you out unconscious. The marshals made a small shield around you and carried you to the ambulance.
Looking around, Fernando finally noticed how everyone was horrified by the crash, and all the drivers around seemed pale and worried. It took a couple of minutes for the FIA to decide to keep the race going, setting it to restart 15 minutes later.
“Fernando,” someone called, and he turned to be faced with George and Alex, who were your closest friends on the grid, “any news on her?”
“Not yet,” he paused, trying really hard to not freak out, “Mike went to the hospital with her.”
“That was ugly,” Alex muttered gloomily.
The tree of them stayed silent, eyes on the screen where a replay of your crash. It was probably a mechanical issue, since you were in high speed when the tyres locked, and you visibly couldn’t brake, going straight into the barriers, full force.
“Will-” George started but his voice failed a little and he cleared his throat, “will she be ok?”
“Yes. She’ll be ok.” Fernando said, not only to calm down the two young drivers, but also to convince himself, since no other option was acceptable in his mind.
You had to be fine.
“Fuck it,” Fernando went inside his room, changing quickly into more casual clothes, as he came out, the team was confused, “I’m sorry, but I have to check on her. Martha, come with me.”
He left knowing he would face terrible consequences with the FIA, not only for not going back to the race, but also because he avoided the press to go to the hospital you were taken to.
On the car, on the way to the hospital they had taken you to, his phone rang, and it was Mike, who had been the first one to go with you to the hospital. Fernando supposed Mike would want to tear him a new one for abandoning the race.
But no. Mike wanted to update him, telling you had a concussion that had knocked you out on the spot, inside the car. They were going to check if you had any more injuries with scans and tests.
By the time he got to the hospital, he met with Mike, and with Vince, your friend and manager, they said you were still unconscious and going through all the examinations necessary. The doctors wanted to see if you didn’t have any internal bleeding or fractures. They kept you unconscious during urgent care, hoping you would wake up after the tests and after the meds wear off.
Fernando sat in the waiting room unmoved, his fear eating him inside every minute you had not woken up yet. Martha was tearful the whole time, while Vince was making calls right and left, he got in touch with your family and closest friends. Alberto showed up around an hour after to pick Fernando up to go back to the hotel.
“I am not leaving,” Fernando said.
“Fernando, there’s nothing you can do. Vince said she will probably wake up late morning tomorrow, we can just-”
“I will not leave.”
Fernando’s words left no space for debate. He didn’t have any commitments for the next week. So he stayed after everyone left, waiting for news on his mariposa. He could barely drink the coffee because his stomach was churning with the lack of news. In the middle of the night, finally they finished the tests and they put you in a room.
After bribing his way inside, Fernando was able to get into your room and see you. You were sleeping, looking peaceful in that hospital bed, using an oxygen inhaler.
“Why does she need oxygen?” He asked the nurse checking on you.
“Here it says she inhaled some smoke before the fire was put off,” the woman explained, reading your chart.
“She will be alright, isn’t she?” He asked, his tone audibly worried. The nurse sighed, as if she didn’t want to say her next words.
“We can’t tell just yet. For now the scans and tests show she is fine, but we can only tell for sure after she wakes up.”
She left Fernando behind with dread consuming his every thought.
As he stared at your unconscious body on the bed, he couldn’t help but remember when you slept with him in Mallorca. Your naked body tangled with the blankets, hair splayed on the pillows and tanned limbs looking for him even in sleep, hugging him and keeping him in bed with you longer than he usually did. He sat by the bed, hand holding yours, running his thumb over your cold knuckles.
The remorse was eating him alive. You had to be alright. You had to wake up soon and laugh at his worried face, joking that you’re tougher than you look. Giving him those eyes. He couldn’t bear not looking at your eyes again, that would break him apart one last time.
Because you could have been his the whole time. He could have slept with you in his arms more often than not. He could have been stealing your kisses in dark corners and going out for dinner after late team meetings. He could’ve received random cute selfies from you throughout his day. He could’ve whispered “I love you” into your skin every night. Only he didn’t.
His last words to you were “I don’t want you” and he couldn’t take it if those were his last words for you ever. He never let himself admit to you that he had fallen. That he was absolutely crazy for you, that he loved you even before you ever kissed him.
He was about to spiral in guilt when your sister arrived in the early morning. She visibly didn’t expect Fernando there, holding her sister’s hand.
“I just talked to the doctor,” Mila, your sister, muttered.
“He said the meds will wear off later today,” Fernando said.
“You can go rest now, come back later.” Mila offered. Didn’t sound like she wanted him specifically out, but more out of worry.
“No, I- I want to stay until she’s awake.”
“Fernando, she wouldn’t want you to wear yourself thin because of her,” The way Mila said the words, it left a little unsaid.
“You know?” Was all he asked. Do you know about us? What do you think? What did she say about me? But Mila just nodded, she didn’t look judgemental.
“I know.”
He was about to leave to at least shower and eat something before coming back. As Mila got closer to your sleeping form, Fernando stood back and your sister touched your hand. Then she knocked three times on the bedside table. Fernando frowned.
“Why did you do that?” He asked Mila.
“When we were kids in karting, Dad used to do that to our helmets before races, each knock means a word. ‘I love you’, and with time it just became a silly habit of hers,” Mila explained.
Fernando’s heart twisted inside, eyes watering.
Knock. I. Knock. Love. Knock. You.
You had been doing the knocks to him for months, even before the summer break.
He left the room without a word, breathing in and out to stop the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. He wasn’t an emotional man by any means, but the knowledge that you have been loving him for so long, broke his heart.
After going back to the hotel to shower and eat, he went knocking in Alberto’s room when he noticed he didn’t have his phone anywhere in sight ever since before the race had started. Like predicted, Alberto had his phone.
In his suite, Fernando unlocked his phone to hundreds of notifications, a lot from other drivers, asking for news about you, since not the Formula 1 or the FIA had released any notes about your condition. After shooting a few answers to the other drivers, he finally saw one notification, saying you had left him a voicemail the day before. From the time stamp, it was a bit before the race.
Wide eyed, he pressed play on the voicemail.
“Hey, I’m about to go out in the car, but I guess I just breathed 10 seconds of courage, well not enough to wait to say it to you face to face,” you giggled nervously, “but what I mean to say is, I love you. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I do love you. And I know you don’t feel the same, but maybe you could… I don’t know, maybe you could take a chance on me. I know your reservations about the world, but… We should take the jump. I can make you really happy if you let me. And maybe one day you will grow to love me- god, that last part was pathetic- Shit- How do I delete this?” There was noise as if you were struggling with the phone and then someone called your name far away, “one second!” you told the person, “shit, I gotta go. Just please, can we talk over the winter break? I guess what I mean is that-” Then the beep ended the message, cutting your voicemail off.
He pressed play a couple more times, until he could breathe again, your voice offering some sense of peace to his mind. You were willing to have him, even after he kicked you out of his hotel room, even after he pretty much ignored your history all these past few months.
It would be alright. You would wake up, he would tell you he loved you and he was so sorry that he had wasted so much time being afraid of what people may think or how the world might treat you.
Only you didn’t.
You didn’t wake up after the meds wore off. And Fernando, your sister, Vince and Martha were all shocked when the doctor said it was possible you were in a coma.
“Everything seems ok, but she’s not waking up. Sometimes the body takes a little more time to recover from traumas like this.”
“When-” Mila’s voice failed, tears streaming down her face, “when do you believe she could wake up?”
“We can’t pinpoint that with precision,” the doctor answered.
“Get all the tests redone,” Fernando said suddenly, “maybe you missed something.”
“But-”
“I’ll pay for it.”
That’s all he said before leaving and entering a toilet by the waiting room. His chest heaving, he watered his shaky hands to try and calm down. You didn’t wake up. They weren’t sure when or if you would wake up. And, fuck, Fernando had seen that before with Jules, who was comatose for months before passing away.
He remembered the blinding pain of losing a friend and he couldn’t bear losing the love of his life too. Fernando stayed in the stall for a while, trying to calm down his terrified thoughts.
When he went back, your sister was still crying, being comforted by Vince.
“Fernando, can you stay here while we call my family?” Mila asked, and Fernando nodded.
As they left, Fernando sat by your side, holding your hand. With his thumb running over the back of your hand, he looked at your face.
“I don’t want you to go,” he whispered, “I need you here. There’s still so much for you here. Please, I just need you to fight a little more, yes? You have always been stubborn.”
He waited for some kind of miracle, for you to wake up, for your eyes to find him like they always did even in a crowded room.
“When you recover, we will go out, on a proper date, and we’ll dance, like you wanted to. We’ll hold hands and I’ll take you to meet my family.” He kissed the back of your hand softly, “Wake up, Mariposa.”
He stayed there the whole day, letting your sister go find a hotel to stay and get some sleep. Then at night, she came back, assuring Fernando that he should go to sleep too, she knew he was more than a day and a half awake. Back at the hotel, he showered the smell of hospital off and made some calls to take care of his businesses. He texted George and Alex to update them. He also talked to his family, giving updates on his teammate, but not prolonging the chat as to not risk breaking down because of the state his mariposa was in the hospital. Then he went to sleep after a quick dinner, exhausted enough to sleep fairly quickly.
He managed to sleep the whole night, going in and off dreams of you, his brain probably too worried to really forget, even unconscious. He woke up at dawn, going back to the hospital so your sister could leave to rest.
Fernando checked on you first thing, and you were still unconscious, but your sister was on the phone talking to your parents, so he just left to give her a little privacy. He went into the cafeteria and drank a small cup of coffee.
As he went back, he noticed how agitated Vince looked on the phone right outside your room.
“Vince, what happened?” He asked, dreading that the worse had happened in the few minutes he was away.
“She woke up!”
Fernando’s eyes welled up with tears as he opened the door.
“-No, no, don’t talk just yet. Let’s wait for the doctor,” you sister said to you, then both of them looked at Fernando, who looked rooted to the spot, “Fernando! She woke up!” Your sister said through happy tears.
Your sister hugged again, kissing your head, whispering how she loved you all while Fernando stood there, trying to will his limbs to move. Then the doctor and a nurse came, asking you all to leave so he could examine you.
He waited outside as your sister went on the phone with the good news to your family again. Then the doctor came out, announcing you were looking good, and apparently no sequelae but they would still keep you for a few more days for close examination and to make sure everything was alright.
Barely registering anything, Fernando just entered your room, and you smiled at him. You smiled. Your eyes shining bright like you had just woken up from a simple nap.
And then he cried. Fully cried for the first time since the accident, like the relief of seeing you alive and well broke the dam of the tears he had been trying to hold back. And he could breathe again. Covering his face with both hands, he tried to get himself in control but he only stopped when he heard you.
“Na-” your voice was hoarse, “-no.”
“No, don’t talk yet. The nurse said your throat might feel a little dry.” He managed to subside his tears enough to talk.
When he sat down on the chair, you lifted your hand to hold his face. You were still a bit weak, but you wiped his face of the tears. He held your hand with both of his, kissing your palm.
“You gave us quite the scare,” Fernando said with a small smile. You smiled back, looking sleepy, “I thought I was going to lose you.”
You shook your head minimally but your eyes had that mischievous glint, like you were thinking of a silly joke about how tough you actually are.
“I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for making you think I don’t love you, when I really do. I have for the longest time. We’ll make it work, however you want,” he just dumped the words, not wanting to lose another precious second not being yours, “soy tuyo, Mariposa. Te amo, mi amor.”
You just held his hand, squeezing it slowly three times. I. Love. You.

Tumblr media
Y/N sat in the dimly lit living room of her small apartment, the shadows on the walls a stark contrast to the memories that haunted her. Her fingers traced the worn edges of a photo album she had found while cleaning earlier, each page a painful reminder of her past.
Growing up, Y/N's home life was far from stable. Her parents' relationship had been a volatile cocktail of arguments and broken promises, their voices often raised in anger rather than love. The air in their house had always felt thick with tension, a palpable force that suffocated any semblance of comfort or security.
Y/N flipped through the album, her eyes lingering on a picture of her younger self. She was smiling, but the smile didn't reach her eyes, even then. Her parents stood on either side of her, forced grins plastered on their faces for the camera. She remembered that day clearly—it had been one of the few times they had tried to act like a normal family, but the effort was short-lived.
As the years went by, the arguments escalated, and the once infrequent absences of her father turned into a permanent departure. Her mother, already struggling with her own demons, fell into a deep depression, leaving Y/N to fend for herself. She became a master of hiding her pain, putting on a brave face at school while silently dealing with the chaos at home.
Friendships came and went, most of them fleeting. Y/N had learned early on not to get too attached, as people seemed to drift away just when she started to rely on them. Her heart had been broken too many times, not by romantic relationships, but by the countless times she had opened up to someone, only for them to leave.
Closing the album with a sigh, Y/N glanced around her apartment. It was small but cozy, a space she had made her own. The walls were adorned with pictures of places she hoped to visit one day, a reminder of dreams she refused to let go of, despite everything. Yet, the emptiness of the apartment echoed the loneliness that had been her constant companion.
Meeting Lando had been a beacon of light in her otherwise dark world. His infectious energy and genuine kindness had drawn her in, and for the first time in a long time, she felt a glimmer of hope. But with that hope came fear—the fear that he, too, would eventually leave, just like everyone else.
The sound of the front door opening pulled Y/N from her thoughts. She quickly wiped away a tear that had escaped, not wanting Lando to see her like this. She loved him deeply, but the scars of her past were not easily forgotten.
Lando entered the room, his eyes immediately finding hers. He could sense something was wrong, the way she held herself, the distant look in her eyes. He walked over and sat beside her on the couch, his presence a comforting contrast to the turmoil in her mind.
"Hey," he said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Are you okay?"
Y/N took a deep breath, forcing a smile. "Yeah baby, I'm okay"
time skip
The tension in the apartment was palpable as Lando and Y/N stood facing each other in the living room. The argument had started innocuously enough—a simple conversation about their busy schedules—but it had quickly escalated into a heated exchange.
"I just don't understand why you can't make more time for us," Y/N said, her voice tinged with frustration. "You're always so busy with races, interviews, and events. I feel like we're barely together anymore."
Lando ran a hand through his hair, his patience wearing thin. "I have obligations, Y/N. This is my career we're talking about. I can't just drop everything whenever I want."
"I'm not asking you to drop everything," she retorted, her eyes flashing with anger. "I'm asking you to make an effort. I want to feel like a priority, not just another item on your to-do list."
"That's not fair," Lando shot back. "You know how demanding this job is. I can't control the schedule. And it's not like you don't have your own commitments."
Y/N crossed her arms, her voice rising. "But I still try to make time for us! You promised me that we'd find a balance, but it feels like I'm the only one trying."
Lando's frustration boiled over. "I’m doing the best I can! Why can't you see that?"
"Because it doesn't feel like it!" she shouted, tears of anger and hurt welling up in her eyes. "I'm tired of feeling like I'm the only one making an effort in this relationship."
A heavy silence fell between them, the weight of their words hanging in the air. Lando shook his head, his expression a mix of frustration and helplessness. "I'm driving around the bloody globe and this - Y/N I'm just- I need some air," he muttered, grabbing his jacket and heading for the door.
Y/N watched him leave, her heart sinking. She stood there for a moment, her mind racing with thoughts of abandonment. This was it, she thought. This was when he would realize it wasn't worth the effort and leave her like everyone else had.
Y/N sat on the balcony, the cool night air brushing against her skin. The city lights flickered in the distance, but her mind was far away, lost in the painful memories that had shaped her.
She was six years old, hiding under the kitchen table as her parents screamed at each other. Her father’s voice was a thunderstorm, her mother’s a desperate plea. "I can’t take it anymore, Marie! I’m done!" Her father stormed out, slamming the door so hard it rattled the windows. He never came back.
Years later, her mother’s addiction had taken hold. Y/N would find her passed out on the couch, empty bottles and needles scattered around. "Mom, please," she would whisper, shaking her gently. "Wake up." But her mother’s eyes remained closed, her body unresponsive. Social services came and went, but nothing ever changed. The house felt emptier with each passing day.
Her first boyfriend seemed kind at first, but the facade quickly crumbled. "You’re too clingy," he said, pushing her away. "I need space." He left her in tears, feeling like a burden. The next relationship was worse—manipulation, emotional abuse, constant belittling. "You’re worthless," he sneered. "No wonder your family abandoned you." She believed him, internalizing every cruel word.
Y/N hugged her knees tighter to her chest, the tears slipping down her cheeks. The patterns of her past replayed in her mind, a cruel reminder of the pain she had endured.
Her best friend in high school promised they would be friends forever. But as soon as things got tough, she disappeared without a word, leaving Y/N to navigate the tumultuous teenage years alone. "I thought we were friends," Y/N had said, voice breaking. But there was no answer, just an empty silence.
Her college roommate had been kind, at first. They shared secrets and late-night talks until one day, without warning, she moved out, leaving a note saying she couldn’t handle Y/N’s “drama.” Another abandonment, another confirmation that Y/N was too much for anyone to handle.
She wiped her eyes, the heaviness in her chest a familiar ache. Lando was different, she knew that. He was kind, loving, and patient. But the fear that he would eventually leave her, just like everyone else, was always there, lurking in the back of her mind.
The balcony door slid open, and Y/N didn’t turn around. She felt Lando’s presence as he stepped outside, the silence stretching between them.
"I'm sorry my love," Lando finally said, his voice soft and weary. "I didn't mean to storm out like that."
Y/N took a deep breath, her voice trembling. "I just… I don't want to feel like this anymore, Lando. I don't want to keep waiting for you to leave. It's not your fault, it really is not. I'm just- my past. It has been hurting me so much even when I try for it not to."
He moved closer, sitting beside her on the balcony floor. "Y/N, I'm not going to leave you. I didn't realize how much this was affecting you. I thought we were okay but I need you to speak to me, to voice your conerns."
She shook her head, tears slipping down her cheeks. "I was scared to tell you how I really felt. I didn't want to seem needy or make you feel guilty."
Lando reached out, gently taking her hand in his. "You have every right to tell me how you feel. I need to know if something's wrong so we can fix it together."
She looked at him, her eyes filled with vulnerability. "But what if you get tired of always having to reassure me? What if you decide it's too much?"
He squeezed her hand, his gaze steady and sincere. "I won't. I'm here because I love you, Y/N. I want to be with you, and that means working through the tough times, too. I know I haven't been perfect, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this work."
Y/N's heart ached with both fear and hope. "I want to believe you, Lando. I really do."
"Then let me prove it to you," he said softly. "We'll figure this out together. I promise."
She nodded, a small smile breaking through her tears. "Okay. I trust you." He could see the pain in her eyes, the scars left by a lifetime of abandonment and disappointment. He knew this was the moment to make her understand how much she meant to him.
"Y/N, look at me," he said softly, lifting her chin so their eyes met. "You are perfect for me in every way. I don’t just love you because you’re beautiful or because we have fun together. I love you because of who you are, inside and out."
She tried to look away, but he gently held her face, making sure she was listening. "You are the strongest person I know. Everything you've been through, everything you've survived—it hasn't broken you. It's made you who you are, and that person is incredible."
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she didn't say anything. Lando continued, his voice full of conviction. "You have this amazing heart, Y/N. You care so deeply about the people in your life, even when they don't deserve it. You give so much of yourself, and that’s something truly special."
He brushed a tear from her cheek. "You make me want to be a better person. Every day with you is a gift, and I don’t take that lightly. I see how you look after everyone, how you’re always there for others, even when you’re hurting. You inspire me."
Lando's voice grew more intense as he spoke. "You’re not a burden. You’re not too much. You are exactly what I need in my life. You’re my anchor, the one who keeps me grounded. Without you, none of this—racing, fame, everything—would matter. You’re my reason, Y/N."
She sniffled, her tears falling freely now, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "I know you’re scared, and I get it. But I’m here to stay. I’m not going anywhere. I promise you that. We’re in this together, and I will never, ever leave you."
He pulled back slightly to look into her eyes again. "Please believe me when I say that you are my everything. I love you more than words can say, and I will spend every day proving it to you. You are my future, Y/N, and I’m not going to let anything take that away from us."
She clung to him, her sobs quieting as his words sank in. "I love you too, Lando," she whispered, her voice shaky but filled with hope.
"And I love you," he replied, kissing her forehead gently. "Always."
For the first time in a long while, she felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could find a way to make it work. And for now, that hope was enough.

I miss the time you used to make actual fics
(yandere! villain x gn! hero's sidekick reader) (idk what this is bruh i wanted to make it heroic but then it turned out like this)
when your world gets shrouded in ugliness and grime, a time will come when a person will light up the torch that guides you through even the darkest of nights.
if you had known that things would be like this, you would never have decided to take on the duty of being a hero. after all, with glory came the overwhelming loneliness of being the saviour.
you were never really the righteous type. always put yourself over others when a life-threatening situation would come. sure, you were a sidekick to the number one hero but you still had to save yourself first, right? well, no.
because for some reason when the gods decided to punish the earth, you had stepped forward to protect everyone when no one else would.
people called you a hero. with tears running down their faces as they thanked you for saving them and their families. the press recorded your selfless act and praised you as humanity's saviour.
you wished you could take your words back. to say that you didn't want to shoulder the punishment of humanity on your own. that if you could reverse time you'd hide in the crowd as god rained his fury down on everyone.
because at least then you wouldn't be alone.
the wind brushes past your face, hair flowing wildly in the cold of the dead night. the road to hell was a long one after all, and god's first punishment was to have you walk the cold path to your death.
it's okay, you told yourself. you're saving people, you tried to reassure yourself.
yet you had never expected the cost of other's freedom to come at such a great price. for here you were, trudging into the lonely night with the weight of the world on your shoulders.
humans are inherently selfish. the only reason they praised you was because they wanted to make themselves feel better for choosing to sacrifice one of their own instead of accepting the punishment. if they were truly grateful they'd have walked down this path with you together, wouldn't they?
but you were all alone. the city was alive as always, people going about with their daily lives. happy chatter and innocent smiles as they walked the streets. the city skyline was beautiful, buildings coloured in bright lights and advertisements. life was normal.
it's not fair.
it's not fair.
it's not fair.
why did you have to suffer when they could walk free of sin? they were the original sinners! why did you have to bear the weight of their actions all on your own?!
looking down at your shivering hands, you walk towards the edge of the building. how high up were you? 50 floors? 55? you couldn't remember. you didn't want to remember. because you knew that it'd be a long way down either way.
you didn't want to die yet. you still had so much to live for, still had so much you wanted to accomplish and do.
but everyone was counting on you to save the world.
so you took a trembling step forward, planning on embracing the cold embrace of death.
"ah... i'm falling."
your body felt weightless as you fell off the building, eyes shut as you tried to bite back the tears that threatened to slip past.
no, you couldn't cry. you had to be brave. that's what a hero does. be brave no matter what, right? even when you were dying?
"if only someone could save me, how nice it would be."
"what are you doing you stupid hero?!"
a shout snaps you out of your trance, his hands reaching out to grab you.
"you-!"
"do you seriously want to die?!"
his hold on your hand was tight, almost afraid as though you'd slip out of his grasp. you take in the way his normally cocky face was now full of fear, face scrunched up in a way that exposed all of his hidden vulnerabilities.
then you had realized he jumped off after you.
"you- you jumped off! now we're both going to die!"
you scream at him, eyes darting all over. no freaking way. you knew that the villain was always stupid but to jump after you after you were going to die? did he cook his brain in the air fryer today?!
"shit shit- no! you can't die too! please tell me this is a dream! only one of us needs to handle divine duty-"
"shut up! who said anything about dying?"
his sharp voice cuts through your thoughts as he wraps his arms around your body.
"i'm the villain, remember? how could i die just like that?"
time seems to slow as he brings both of you to a complete stop. attached to his back was a piece of dark matter rope, probably made with his ability so that it wouldn't break halfway. oh, so he had a backup plan.
you stammer, feeling your cheeks heat up as the man slowly brings you back up to the top of the building, his arms tight and secure all the way up. when he had ensured both of you were right back on solid ground, he exhaled sharply and shot you a glare.
"stupid hero. did you want to die that badly?"
he questions, flicking your forehead before scoffing.
"even your damn hero that you worked for didn't want to give up his life, why did you want to do it? don't you know that i like you?"
the villain's words are surprisingly soft despite the hint of anger in them. how cute, he was worried for you? and yes, you know that he likes you. how could you not? he literally shows it every time you meet up to fight with him.
making kissy faces at you, casually flirting while he tears apart a building, beating up random people who had the audacity to flirt with what he thought was his to court, inviting you out to dinner as he avoids an attack from the hero... well, you suppose it worked out in the end? he did save you from dying.
"look, all that god told us to do was to clean up the garbage. don't know why you decided taking on the sins of everyone was a smart idea."
he grumbles, running a hand through his hair before placing a hesitant hand on your waist to tug you closer. your breath hitches as he suddenly rests his head against your shoulder, his breath tickling your skin.
"we could clean it up, you know? i mean, what's stopping us? i know you don't really want to die after all."
wait a second, what was he suggesting? to become god's messengers
"after all... we're the strongest, aren't we?"
well, not really but you suppose so.
you stare at him, a conflicted expression on your face before you huff. you didn't really want to be a villain but... what other option was there? you sure as hell didn't want to die for the sake of people you've never met before. especially when some of them were literal criminals.
"how do we clean up the trash?"
the villain smirks at your words.
"great question, we'll kill them all!"
"no."
"okay, we beat them up and make them all repent. then we kill them!"
"no!"
shaking your head, you let out a sigh. damn it all. looks like you're no longer the saviour.
"hehe, don't look so down cutie. we're technically doing god's work."
you stare at him, eyes narrowing before you roll your eyes.
well, you suppose he's right in a sense... a smile creeps up your lips as you start chuckling softly.
"sure, we're god's messengers now then."
"that's right!"
he ruffles your hair with his other hand, a cocky smirk on his lips.
"so how do you want to start? shall we nuke them?"
"no!"

My eyes closed as I felt a push that made me fall and when the counter stopped, my hands could only go to my face in fear, no shot hit me and a hand touched my shoulder making me jump scared.
Calm down, are you safe - Dae-Ho spoke in a low voice making my hands go down slowly looking around - Did I hurt you? Sorry if I pushed you too hard
I'm fine - I looked at him barely with agitated breathing while Jung-Bae looked at me worried - thanks
You don't have to thank me, why did they leave you outside? I thought they were your friends - Dae-Ho helped me up pretending to be upset
They didn't kick me out, I gave my place to Geum-Ja, she deserved that place more than me - I looked at him sighing annoyed feeling the intention of his comments
You are very brave girl, I couldn't have done it - Jung-Bae looked at me touching his chest in a sign of concern - the good thing is that we were able to find you in time and you are here
As soon as I nodded I approached the small gap in the door, it was my chance to do it because I knew that Hyun-Ju would never let me do it if I was with her.
Standing on my toes to reach the little open space in the door, I could see how they picked up the bodies, one by one putting them in black boxes decorated with pink bows and they took them away piled up without caring.
The sound of the door ringing was my signal to run out of there, looking around at unfamiliar faces while hearing murmurs and laughter from those who were crazy, I walked through the people not caring if I pushed anyone until in the distance I could see Yong-Sik and Geum-Ja hugging each other, behind them Hyun-Ju standing looking at the floor while wiping her cheeks with the sleeves of her sweater.
HYUN-JU - I screamed with all the air left in my lungs making everyone turn their heads towards me as I ran splashing blood with my feet from every bloody puddle I crossed - Hyun-Ju!!
Her eyes widened, her legs buckled as she ran and she could barely hold herself up when I collided with her in a hug and her arms surrounded my body so tightly that it made my bones ache
Are you okay? Did they hurt you? - her hands took my face looking at me while I trembled - did they do something to you?
No, no I…I'm fine - I smiled at her taking her hand looking at her dark eyes
Don't do that again, you heard me? Never do something as stupid as that again, they could have killed you, I told you to stay by my side and I want you to always be there, understood? - her chest rose and fell breathing heavily while her lips trembled and her eyes mixed between fear and anger stared at me without letting go of my face
I understood..- I gave her a slight smile nodding
My little one…are you okay - Geum-Ja ran slowly hugging me tightly - you shouldn't have done that for an old woman like me, they could have hurt you
That doesn't matter, we're fine okay?..- I smiled taking her hand looking at the others- come on…we have to go to the platform
This time we walked carefully, as if slipping on the blood was the worst thing that could happen to us and ruined our green outfit.
This time don't separate from me, understood? - Hyun-Ju took my hand again standing next to me, this time interlacing her fingers with mine while I just nodded slowly looking at our hands nervously
The children's song started once again, the platform spun and I, like everyone else, looked around looking for the closest door to run to as soon as the game stopped
''2'' the speaker spoke making everyone run
Run, run! - Hyun-Ju pulled my arm almost tearing it off my body as she ran with giant steps compared to mine, pushing anyone in front of us until she reached a green door that she opened with such force that it seemed to rip it off the hinges and then made us enter leaning her back against the door to prevent anyone from opening it - we did it…
I just nodded tiredly, taking a breath as I leaned on my knees trying not to faint
Y/N..who helped you last round? - she looked at me curiously after a couple of minutes in complete silence
Dae-Ho and… Jung-Bae - I looked at her sitting on the floor - the truth is I still don't know how they did it, I just felt a push and when I opened my eyes I was inside
I'm sure it was Dae-Ho… - she looked at me smiling slightly and then looked at the floor and when she heard the door lock and the shots she quickly walked away sitting next to me hugging her knees
Do you forgive me for… leaving the room?.. - I looked at her timidly getting closer trying to see her face between the strands of her hair
I'm not upset… it's just that… I got scared okay? One second you were by my side and the next you ran away without saying anything…
I did it for Geum-Ja I…
I know you did it for her and that's very brave but how was I supposed to stay here without you? -she looked at me again with her eyes annoyed but full of something that I didn't want to confuse with love- if they killed you how was I supposed to stay in this damn place if they took away the only thing I have?
The.. only thing you have?..- I looked at her curiously while she lowered her head again hiding her face between locks of hair
Nothing… I didn't say anything…
Yes you said it.. what do you mean by that Hyun-Ju?.. what do you mean by…
that you are the only reason why my heart has found meaning to keep living… that I'm not supposed to feel this way because I know that you will never feel the same for me but I do and I feel selfish for that do you understand? - her tears ran slowly down her cheeks with her lip trembling
You're even more selfish by keeping those feelings to yourself…because then…I would have never known that you feel the same way I feel about you
No…don't say that just because I'm crying - she give a small laugh wiping her tears
Then stop crying and say it again…I like you Hyun-Ju and if that's wrong I think it's worse that we're doing this for money…don't you think? - I smiled at her trying to break the tension making her laugh again while wiping her face looking at me embarrassed with her cheeks slightly flushed
Me too…I like you…- she smile shaking her head looking at the floor- it's very stupid no? I went through all this transition to end up falling in love with a girl..
It's not stupid… if you feel that being a woman is what you are, I don't see anything wrong with you being happy, anyway we won't be the first girls to form a nice couple - I smiled at her taking her hand leaning on her arm closing my eyes feeling peace among so much chaos
When we go out, think twice before making the decision to go home, okay? - her cheek rested on my head sighing calmly
Only if you take me to see Thailand…
◻○△◻○△◻○△◻○△◻○△◻○△◻○△◻○△
So…if you're a girl…and she's a girl…you're…
Mom!…Shut up already - Yong-Sik looked at her sadly while Hyun-Ju and I laughed looking at the confused woman - that's not a question, it's disrespectful
It's just a question, you spoiled brat, don't you dare tell me to shut up, I'm your mother - Geum-Ja looked at him angrily hitting his arm making him fall on the mattress of his bed
We just like each other - I smiled at her crossing my legs on the mattress sitting next to Hyun-Ju
Yes but…how do you like her? She's not a woman yet, but she's not a man either…it's like in between, you know…what part of Hyun-Ju do you like? -The curious woman looked at me trying to figure out my head making me smile
Well…
Y/N..-Dae-Ho's voice made us look towards the stairs as he approached us rubbing his hands - Hello..everyone - the boy smiled embarrassed - I just came to ask if you were okay, it's just that after the last round I couldn't find you anymore..and I was curious..
I'm fine..thanks - I smiled barely, being kind for the act of having helped me
Well, I'm glad -he smiled looking at the floor without stopping rubbing his hands- if you're still a little hungry, we have some Gimbap if you want to come
She's fine - Hyun-Ju raised her voice making both of them look into each other's eyes
Yes, go back to your bed son, she's fine Hyun-Ju is taking good care of her girl -Geum-Ja smiled innocently making Dae-Ho clench his jaw nodding looking Hyun-Ju in the eyes before turning around and going back to his team
Mom…you don't know how to keep your mouth shut again - Yong-Sik sighed covering his face sighing annoyed
It wasn't long before we heard screams and commotion coming from the bathroom and after a while a song would play on the speakers followed by a voice
''These are the eliminated players, player 230, player 268, player 299, player 331 and player 401 eliminated''
What happened? - Geum-Ja looked at us without understanding as did everyone around who looked at each other
The bathroom doors opened, two soldiers entered followed by players covered in blood, some walking with difficulty, Nam-Gyu making a fuss while arguing between both teams making us all get out of our beds to do a count again
Hyun-Ju..-I looked at her with fear squeezing her arm- I don't have a good feeling
Me neither..but don't worry nothing bad is going to happen to you - she looked at me giving me a fake smile while we stood in the crowd of team X
Gi-Hun counted, over and over again making sure not to lose any player, in the end we had only lost 2 people and we were 1 ahead of team O and while he told us things about the previous game he also came up with a plan.
He talked about making a plan, defending ourselves because he knew that those from the other team would attack us and to get out unharmed we would have to hide under the beds, then when most of them were dead we would attack the soldiers taking their weapons and we would look for a way out.
His plan didn't make me feel more than that it was a suicide mission, how was it possible that we would overcome trained soldiers with loaded weapons, my mind only overthought and created catastrophic scenarios where we would all end up dead
Are you okay? - Hyun-Ju whispered in my ear bringing me out of the trance just making me nod - are you sure?
I don't think it's a good idea - I looked at her whispering without interrupting Gi-Hun and after a while and while the speaker announced that in 10 minutes the lights would go out each one decided to go to their bed, this time, we both decided to go to Hyun-Ju's bed that was lower than mine to make it easier for us to hide when the lights went out
Believe me, we'll be fine - She whispered taking my hand - you don't have to do anything, we'll just hide and when the guards come in I'll go with them for the weapons
Hyun-Ju… I don't need you to always protect me, just because I'm a woman you and them shouldn't take care of me from everything
They may do it because you're a woman, but I do it because you're my woman, right? - She looked at me making me feel those fireworks inside me again, it was the least appropriate moment and everything in my head sounded a thousand times more exaggerated than normal making me want to throw myself off the highest bed into the void
I… I have to confess something to you - I looked at her nervously sighing deeply - I… I grew up with two brothers, one of them is a soldier and they taught me how to shoot, maybe it's not the same compared to your experience but… if you need someone else I'll join you okay?
No… I won't let you go fight against soldiers, are you crazy? - She frowned again, a sign that she was getting upset
We went in together and we'll come out together, right? You said that I would never leave your side…
''Players, the lights will go out in 10..9..8..7..6…''
Hyun-Ju..-i sighed in fear, clenching her hand under the covers - If we don't survive tonight…
Stay calm, I promise… I… - it was now or never, in 5 seconds the lights would go out and if we were attacked there was the same chance of surviving or dying, the same chance of leaving together or never seeing her again, my head was spinning overthinking again trying to convince myself that I shouldn't be afraid, I wasn't afraid when I left that room to be shot, I shouldn't be afraid now.
My trembling hands took her face and as I closed my eyes my lips kissed hers leaving us both frozen
''5..4..3..2..1…''
I love you - I whispered barely separating from her without being able to look at her face because of the darkness around us
And I love you…let's go…

Tumblr media
The front door creaked as it opened. It was a foreboding sound, far better suited for the fall harvests with their ghost stories, ghouls, and goblins than it was for the festive winter season, with its cheery music and twinkling lights.
“Alastor?” you called out, drying your hands on the towel as you stepped into the living room from the kitchen.
Your husband had been out, attending to a physician’s appointment with his ailing mother. It was unsaid, had been for most of the year, but both of you suspected- no, you knew it in your heart- that this would be her last Christmas on this earth.
The look on Alastor’s face as he hung up his hat, shrugging out of his overcoat, told you it was no longer a suspicion for him either.
“Oh, Al.” you sighed, taking a few steps forward on trembling legs while tears welled in your own eyes. “How long?”
Alastor looked broken, on the edge of tears himself as his head hung low, hair fighting to curl. He looked up at you over the tops of his glasses, raindrops distorting the polished surface. He was a tall man, easily towering over most men and nearly all women in the city, but in that moment, shoulders slumped, he never looked so small.
He wrapped his arms around you, not sparing a second to toe off his shoes. Your heart sank more, if that was even possible. Alastor was always one for taking your shoes off in the comfort of his home, for being comfortable.
He clutched you as he wrapped his arms tightly around you. You ran your hands up his back, letting your nails scratch up his neck and along his scalp. You could feel his body shake with every shuddering breath he took.
“A week,” Alastor whispered, sounding so much like a boy.
Your heart broke for your husband. He was the strongest man you knew, working long hours, at times sleeping at the station to ensure he had the best quality work to put on the air.
He did all of that, not to provide for you but to make his Ma happy, to make her proud of him. Of course, he had accomplished that long ago. She was proud of him before he had his big break. She was proud of him before he married. You were pretty sure she had been proud of him since before he was much more than a fledgling of a man.
“How is she?” You blinked back tears, desperately not wanting to take the attention off of him.
“She’s brave,” Alastor said, face tucked into your neck. “She’s so much braver than I am.”
“She has to be,” you whispered, failing to hide the sorrow in your voice or to stop the tears from running down your face. “How else could she raise such a brave man?”
“I’m not ready.” Alastor sniffled against your shoulder, wetness soaking into your dress as you held him.
“I don’t think anyone ever is.” You stroked his back, fingers working over tense muscles as he took long, deep breaths. “What are we going to do? Did she say what she wanted to do?”
“She bemoaned not getting to see her grandchildren,” Alastor said, shoulders slumped as you continued to hold him, not saying anything about the tears soaking into your dress. “And wants us to spend the week with her, to be with her when she…”
He couldn’t say it. That was alright, you didn’t need him to say it.
“Okay.” You worked your fingers through his thick hair, the tips of them getting lost at the roots, where the curl was never really tamed. “We can do that.”
“You don’t mind?” Alastor finally looked up at you, wet eyes rimmed with red, eyebrows furrowed.
“Not at all.” You forced a smile on your lips, wet from the tears that hadn’t made a perfect path to your jaw. “She’s a wonderful woman and I’m honored that she’d want me to be at her side along with you when she…”
It turned out you couldn’t say it either.
“I’ve made a mess of your dress,” Alastor murmured, fingers running along the wet fabric. “I’m sorry, forgive my moment of weakness.”
“Nonsense.” You leaned up on your toes, taking advantage of Alastor still being stooped over you to place a soft kiss on his damp cheek. “You don’t have to be strong for me all the time. Let me be the strong one sometimes, alright?”
~~~~~<3
You were surprised when Alastor’s arms slipped around your waist, pulling your back to his chest as he settled into the bed. It was late, and you’d been tossing and turning for hours as you waited for your husband to settle into bed for the night.
You didn’t blame him for staying up with a glass of rye. God above knew the man deserved it. That didn’t make you feel any less lonely in the bed, though.
At first, you hadn’t minded. In the darkness of your bedroom, tucked under the heavy quilts, you allowed yourself a good cry. It wasn’t something you had wanted to do with Alastor. It was his time to grieve; he didn’t need to be holding you through your grief.
Finally, as he held you to him in the dark, you could really relax. Sleep threatened to take you quickly, only to be chased away by the sound of your husband’s voice.
“Cher?” His hot breath sent the little hairs at the back of your neck dancing, tickling the sensitive skin.
“Yes, Al?”
“Let’s have a child?” Your heart soared at the question only to plummet, crashing to the ground.
“You do not wish to be a father,” you whispered, turning onto your back, twisting to face him better.
“I’ve changed my mind,” Alastor said, pulling you to him as he leaned into you, rolling himself atop you. Legs tangled with legs under the blankets. “Please, Cher. Let’s just do it. I want to. You’d make a wonderful mother.”
“Alastor?” You sighed as his lips descended upon your neck, peppering you with sweet kisses that threatened to steal all your good sense.
“Please, Cher?” Alastor rocked his hips against you, pushing his hard cock into you.
He was already naked, ready for you. When you opened your mouth, preparing to question him again, he kissed you softly. You sighed, not able to resist the sweet rye flavored kiss as he ran his hand up your thigh.
Resistance was pointless. You knew that as much as he did. Your husband knew well how to kiss you, how to touch you, to render you thinking of nothing more than your desire to have him inside you.
You knew better and yet you couldn’t help but submit as his hand pushed your nightgown higher up your thighs. There was a need, one that reached far deeper than just sexual as he held you, sinking his cock slowly into your wet hole as if perhaps if he was inside of you everything would be okay again.
He sighed, breath washing over you as he seated himself fully. Making love with Alastor was often a passionate affair. He was an eager lover, in control and dominating, stealing your breath away, leaving you screaming his name as you dug your nails into the bedsheets.
Tonight, you made sweet love with your husband. Though he had said he wanted to make a child with you, that was clearly just a small part of what he was after. Soft sighs and loving caresses were paired with the soft rolling of his hips into yours.
Each slow pass of his cock through your walls stroked the low fire inside you. You held onto your husband, hands roaming over his strong back, nails scratching at his scalp. You gasped his name, back arching as he stroked your sensitive walls.
Your orgasm came with a whimper and soft sighs as your walls fluttered around him. He moaned your name as his cock twitched inside you, succumbing to the waves of your orgasm, allowing your body to milk him of his seed.
Even as his breathing slowed and your orgasms faded into pleasurable aftershocks, he held you tightly to him. He took you with him as he rolled to his back, tucking you into his side as his softening cock slipped from your body.
“Alastor?” you asked, tracing shapes you couldn’t see on the muscles of his chest while his seed leaked from your opening, still twitching with the pleasure.
“Yes, my love?” His voice was soft in the dark.
“Why did you change your mind?” You were terrified to look up at him, to somehow see something that would break your heart in the darkness.
“I- Its stupid and unimportant.”
“It’s important to me,” you leaned forward, kissing his chest softly. “Even when you’re stupid, it’s important to me.”
He huffed, an indignant sound at your playful insult. You were one of the few people to get to see him raw, unpolished. You saw him stumbling through the house, looking for the glasses perched atop his head. It was you that saved him from putting salt in the coffee he was making for you, nearly asleep on his feet but refusing to sleep in.
“If- Maybe, somehow, if we fell pregnant, she’d stay,” alastor whispered. “Maybe, if there was a grandchild coming, she won’t go.”
shattered hearts | lando norris
Tumblr media
pairing: lando norris x reader
summary: you break free from a toxic relationship, embarking on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery
warning: emotional abuse, infidelity, toxic relationship, angst
author's note:this was hard, so hard omg... as I always say, english is not my first language so sorry me if there are mistakes —feel free to tell me— and my requests are open!👀
Tumblr media
I met Lando when we were barely out of high school. Back then, he was just a kid with dreams and a mischievous smile that made you feel like you were the only one in the world that mattered. For a while, I believed that was true. But as the years went by, I learned that Lando's smile wasn’t mine alone—it was shared with others, stolen moments behind my back. And somehow, I was always the one left picking up the pieces.
Our relationship was a whirlwind, the couple everyone thought would either crash or last forever. We did crash—over and over again. But somehow, Lando always found a way to convince me to come back.
“I’m sorry,” he’d say, voice low and pleading after one of his inevitable affairs. “But you know you’re my number one, right? None of them matter like you do.”
He’d wrap his arms around me, pull me close, and somehow, I’d believe him. I had to because after eight years of being with him, I didn’t know who I was without him.
The first time he cheated, I was devastated. It was in his early F1 days, just as his fame started to sink in. He swore it was a one-time thing that it didn’t mean anything. And like a fool, I believed him. But it didn’t stop. It never stopped. There was always another girl, another excuse, another lie wrapped up in the promise that I was still the "main one."
One particular night, I remember the argument that nearly broke us for good. Lando had been out late, and I found out through a mutual friend that he had been seen with another girl. Again. When he came home, reeking of alcohol and guilt, I confronted him.
“You said you were going to change, Lando!” I yelled, tears streaming down my face. “You promised me, over and over again, but nothing ever changes!”
“Why are you making such a big deal out of this? You always come back. You always forgive me,” he shot back, arms crossed, his face a mask of irritation.
His words stung like a slap to the face. I wanted to scream, to leave right then and there. But I didn’t. I couldn’t. Because a part of me still loved him, or maybe it was the idea of him—the boy I met before the fame, before the lies.
As the years rolled on, our friends saw the cracks. One night during a get-together at a bar, I tried to put on a brave face. I thought maybe if I acted normal, I could convince myself everything was fine. But when Jess pulled me aside, her expression serious, I knew I couldn’t hide anymore.
“Why do you keep letting him treat you like this?” she asked, frustration evident in her voice. “You deserve so much better, and he’s just going to keep doing this until you realize it.”
“Maybe he’ll change. I can’t just throw away eight years,” I replied defensively. “We have a history.”
“You mean a history of him cheating on you? You have to stop putting up with this, or you’re going to lose yourself,” she insisted, shaking her head.
I didn’t have an answer for her, not really. I just wanted to believe that things would get better. That Lando would see how much I cared and finally choose me over everyone else.
Our mutual friends began to pick sides. Some supported me, while others were loyal to Lando. It was suffocating, a constant tug-of-war that made everything feel so much worse. I felt more isolated than ever, even when surrounded by people.
Then there was the jealousy. Lando was incredibly possessive, especially with his fellow drivers. During one race weekend, I was talking to Charles, who had just finished his session. Lando walked in, and his eyes darkened.
“Why are you always chatting up the other drivers?” he snapped, pulling me aside as Charles walked away, giving us a questioning look.
“Because they’re my friends, Lando! Just because you’re in F1 doesn’t mean I can’t talk to anyone else. You’re not my warden,” I shot back, feeling the anger rise in my chest.
“Don’t act like I’m overreacting. You know how it looks,” he hissed, jaw clenched, frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
I knew he was being unreasonable, but I was too exhausted to fight back. Our friends watched the tension build, hoping to intervene. I overheard Max once whisper to Lando.
“You need to chill, mate. You’re pushing her away.”
But Lando always had an excuse for everything, often deflecting blame onto me.
“You just don’t understand how this world works!” he’d shout, leaving me feeling small and defeated.
The cycle continued, and I found myself in the same painful arguments over and over. One night, after he came home late from a party, I had finally reached my breaking point.
“Do you even care about how I feel?” I shouted, my voice echoing through our apartment. “You’re always out with other girls! How am I supposed to trust you?”
“I told you, you’re the main one! None of them matter!” he retorted, but his words felt hollow to me.
We spent that night in silence, and I knew I had to make a decision. I just didn’t know how to let go.
The more time passed, the more I began to distance myself from Lando. Therapy helped. I began to see the truth behind his words and actions. The way he manipulated me, made me feel guilty for his mistakes. The way he made it seem like I was the one at fault for staying, like I was to blame for the pain he caused me.
During one therapy session, I shared my frustrations.
“I don’t know why I keep coming back to him. He’s hurt me so many times, and I just can’t let go.”
The therapist asked me one simple question: “Do you love him, or are you just scared of being without him?”
It hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn’t know the answer.
One evening after another brutal fight, I finally left. For good this time. I packed my bags while he watched, silent for once. Maybe he thought I’d come back, just like I always did. But this time was different. I walked out the door, leaving behind eight years of memories, both good and bad.
The nights were long and lonely, and I often found myself thinking about the happy moments we had. One flashback struck me particularly hard: it was the first time he had taken me to the paddock during a race weekend, and we laughed like kids as he showed me around.
“Can you believe this is my life now?” he had said, beaming with pride. “I never would have thought I’d be racing in F1.”
“I always knew you could do it,” I replied, squeezing his hand.
But now, those memories felt tainted, and I needed to focus on myself. It wasn’t easy. There were nights I cried myself to sleep, wondering if I had made the right decision. But with time, and with the help of my therapist, I started to heal. I began to see that I deserved better, that I deserved someone who would love me the way I had always wanted Lando to.
One evening, after finally leaving Lando for good, I found myself at a racing event with friends. It was a chance to distract myself from the whirlwind of emotions I was navigating. As I wandered through the paddock, I was drawn to the sound of laughter.
“Are you lost, or just overwhelmed by all this?” a smooth voice asked. I turned to see Pato O'Ward, the charming IndyCar driver, grinning at me. His eyes sparkled with warmth, and for the first time in a long time, I felt a flicker of something hopeful.
“I guess a little bit of both,” I replied, smiling back.
“Come on, I’ll show you around,” he offered, his energy contagious. As we walked through the paddock, he shared stories about his racing experiences and the thrill of competing. It felt so refreshing to be around someone who was passionate and genuine, without the weight of expectations or drama.
Days turned into weeks, and I found myself spending more time with Pato. He was everything I had needed—funny, respectful, and utterly devoted. He listened to me, understood my past, and never once made me feel like I was in a competition for his attention.
One night, after a thrilling race, he took me to a quiet spot overlooking the track. “You know,” he said, “I’ve been thinking a lot about how important it is to find someone who truly sees you. I see you, and I want to be that person.”
His words resonated deep within me, filling the void Lando had left. In that moment, I knew I had found something special with Pato, something I had longed for but never thought I could have.
Meanwhile, Lando had his own set of problems. He was still juggling relationships, using his charm to keep people around while juggling jealousy over his fellow drivers. I heard from our mutual friends that he was still stuck in the same toxic patterns, always in and out of relationships, always claiming that I was the one who got away.
I remember a race weekend when Charles and Lando got into an argument. I was watching from the sidelines with Pato when Charles approached me, concern etched on his face.
“Are you okay? I know things with Lando have been… complicated,” he said, his gaze shifting to Lando, who was across the paddock, still fuming.
“I’m fine, really. I’ve moved on,” I assured him, but I could see the doubt in his eyes.
Later that evening, I got a message from Lando, who had obviously overheard the chatter.
“I know you’re happy with him, but you’re still mine. You always come back to me, remember?”
It took everything in me not to respond. I had a new life now, a new partner who respected me and didn’t cheat. Lando’s words were just echoes of the past.
Fast forward to our wedding day. I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my veil, my heart racing with excitement. Pato had become my rock, my partner in every sense of the word. I knew this was the right choice, and my heart was finally at peace.
Then, my phone buzzed. It was a message from Lando.
“I heard you’re getting married. Just wanted to say, I hope you’re happy. But I still think about you. We could’ve had it all, you know.”
I stared at the message, my heart pounding. For a moment, I considered replying. But then I remembered all the sleepless nights, the tears, the heartbreak, and all the promises he had broken.
“Too late,” I typed back, hitting send before I could second-guess myself.
As I walked down the aisle, Pato’s face lit up with joy, and I couldn’t help but smile back. When he took my hands in his, I felt a sense of completeness I hadn’t known in years.
The ceremony was beautiful, I felt a sense of completeness I hadn’t felt in years. When Pato took my hands in his, I knew I was finally moving forward.
As we exchanged vows, Lando’s presence lingered in the back of my mind, but I let it go.
“I promise to love you through every challenge and to celebrate every victory,” he said, his eyes shining with sincerity.
“I promise to choose you every day for the rest of my life,” I replied, my voice steady and full of conviction.
We sealed our vows with a kiss, and I felt liberated. Lando was no longer my story; I was the author of my own life now, and it was a beautiful beginning with Pato. With him by my side, I was ready to embrace the future we would build together, thriving in a relationship based on trust, respect, and love.
As time passed, I learned to appreciate the small moments—the laughter, the late-night talks, the shared dreams of a future together. Pato supported my passions and encouraged me to pursue my own ambitions, something I had never fully experienced before.
One day, I received a message from Max: “Lando’s been a mess since your wedding. He didn’t handle it well.”
I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of satisfaction. He had always taken me for granted, and now, he was the one left behind.
I hoped Lando would find peace eventually, but I also knew I couldn’t go back to the pain of our past. Pato was everything I needed, and I was determined to focus on our life together.
As our first anniversary approached, Pato planned a surprise getaway. “I want to celebrate us, everything we’ve built,” he said, a bright smile on his face.
We traveled to a beautiful beach destination, where we spent our days relaxing, laughing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. One night, under a sky full of stars, Pato took my hand and said, “You’ve changed my life for the better. I want to keep building this amazing life with you.”
I couldn’t hold back my tears. “You’ve shown me what real love looks like, Pato. I’m so grateful for you.”
His expression softened as he leaned in, kissing me gently.
Then, one day, I got a call from Lando.
“Can we talk?” he asked, voice shaky.
“What do you want, Lando?” I replied, my heart racing.
“I just need to explain… things didn’t go as planned after you left. I’ve made mistakes, and I want you back.”
I paused, memories flooding back. “You had your chance, Lando. I can’t keep going back to the past. I’m happy now. I’ve moved on.”
“But I still love you!” he pleaded. “You were always my main one!”
His words echoed painfully in my mind, but I stood my ground. “You had your chance to prove that. You made your choice.”
The phone call ended, and I sighed with relief. I looked at Pato, who was sitting beside me, and smiled. I had made the right choice.
I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Lando was no longer a part of my narrative. My life was filled with the warmth and love Pato brought into it, and I was excited for the future we would continue to create together.
With Pato, I had learned to love again, not just him, but also myself. And that made all the difference.
Lando’s chapter had closed, and I was finally ready to start anew, with someone who truly valued me, not just as the ‘main one,’ but as the woman I had become.
Hi! I would love to see Steve being really affectionate with shy reader? Maybe at the beginning of their relationship when everything is really „big” for reader? Only if it’s something that you like. Lots of love and thank you! 🩷
Thanks for requesting!
Steve Harrington x shy!reader ♡ 745 words
Selfishly, Steve has an easier time being brave when you’re so clearly the nervous one.
“So this guy, he wasn’t being a dick or anything,” he says, fingers loosely intertwined with yours as you walk down to the 7-Eleven, “but he just wouldn’t leave Rob alone. Couldn’t take a hint, you know?”
You hum. Your hand starts to slip in his, and you tighten your fingers almost imperceptibly. Steve adjusts, taking your hand more securely in his so it doesn’t happen again. A bit of pink tinges your cheeks that he doubts has much to do with the warm weather.
Steve doesn’t mean to fluster you, but if he waited on you to make the first move there’d be no moving at all. That said, he doesn’t mind flustering you either. You get this sweet, startled look on your face and sometimes you try to hide behind your hair so that he gets to move it away. He sweeps his thumb over the back of your hand to soothe you, and you press your lips together like he’s done something far more brash.
“What did she do?” you ask.
“She told him we were dating.”
“What?” You laugh, the sound starting up a pleasant buzzing in Steve’s chest. “But she tells everyone else you’re ‘platonic with a capital P’.”
“Exactly!” He shakes his head, grinning at you. You smile back for half a second before your gaze drops to his chest. “He’s gonna find out as soon as he brings it up to literally anyone, and then she’s gonna have to cover her ass all over again. I don’t know why she does this to herself.”
“Maybe she’s panicking,” you muse. “Just, like, saying the first thing she can think of.”
Steve guesses you’d know something about that. The first time he’d tried to ask you out, he’d suggested going to the drive-in and you’d blurted that you didn’t watch movies.
“Maybe,” he says, unable to mask the amusement in his tone (and not trying very hard, if he’s being honest).
You look at him curiously, then shy at whatever you see in his expression. “Oh, I forgot.” You duck away under the guise of digging through your bag. “I got this off my neighbor’s tree today.”
You hold a peach out to him, and Steve thinks he’s going to melt on the spot. His heart feels all heavy and made of mush. “No way.” His voice is soft, reverent. “You stole from your neighbor for me?”
He takes the peach from you, and you immediately turn from his gaze, pretending to adjust your bag over your shoulder. Steve knows you didn’t really forget to tell him earlier; you just hadn’t wanted this display in front of your roommates. It’s cool. He’s fine with adoring you in private.
“I didn’t steal it.” The smile is evident in your voice, and Steve waits until you turn back to shoot you the best one he’s got in return. The pink spreads to your ears. “I asked. They always say they have too many to eat by themselves.”
“Still.” He thinks about mushing a kiss into your temple, but even Steve’s not feeling bold enough for that yet. He settles for wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “It’s sweet, thanks.”
“It was no problem,” you murmur, tilting your head so your hair curtains your face.
Steve is gleeful at this development. He reaches forward with his other hand to brush it out of the way, hooking what he can behind your ear. Your eyes flit to him bashfully. He knows he’s smiling like an idiot, but he can’t help it. It’s just the way his face likes to be around you.
“Well, I appreciate it,” he says, then decides to put you out of your misery. “So, what kind of slushee are you gonna get?”
“Mm, dunno,” you reply softly. “You?”
“Blue raspberry every time.” He nods certainly. “Never wavered since I was a kid.”
“I don’t think I’ve tried that one,” you say. “I usually get a coke and cherry mix.”
“You can try mine,” Steve offers.
“You don’t mind if I sip from your straw?”
“I mean, I was thinking you could just kiss me to taste it,” he says. And fine, now he might be stirring the pot a little bit. It’s worth it when you put your face in your hands. Steve squeezes you tighter against his side, affectionate. “But that works too, yeah.”
The first years (not Ortho) discovering that they are Yuu's emergency contact. Like Yuu put them as an emergency contact, but he didn't think it would be necessary, but he ends up having an accident out the town and is taken to the hospital, causing one of the first years to be called, so when they ask Yuu why they chose him to be As his emergency contact, Yuu responds that he is the one he trusts the most in the group.
characters: first years (excluding ortho) x gn!yuu!reader
tags: platonic, canon compliant, hurt/comfort, imagines + scenario format; mention of vil in epel's, mention of malleus in sebek's
warnings: accidents, hospitals, near-death mention, the use of the word "idiot" as an endearing term in ace's, hugs and hand-holding in deuce's
author's notes: ngl the pronouns in the ask kinda confused me so i just made this gn reader lol hope you dont mind anon <3
Tumblr media
Ace Trappola
Despite all his antics (or maybe because of them), he really feels that he’s made a genuine connection with you
He won’t say it but he’s really glad that you put up with him and you don’t see him as some one-dimensional jerk you do see him as a multidimensional jerk though /joke
So when he gets a call from your number yet an unfamiliar voice greets him, he immediately grows worried, and for good reason - turns out you’ve ended up in the hospital due to some unknown accident
He drops everything he’s doing and rushes to the hospital without thinking twice. Like, literally rush there. He spares no time to call for transport
…Or ask for details from anyone for that matter. If it weren’t for the staff, he would’ve tried barging into any random ward to find you
When he gets to you, panting and panicked, he goes to steady himself, his hands gripping the sides of the hospital bed so tightly
You’re glad to see his face and he’s glad to see that you still manage to muster up a smile at his presence
That’s when he notices that nobody else is there, and so he asks you where everybody else is. You tell him they only called up your emergency contact which is none other than Ace himself
He asks you why is he your emergency contact out of everyone-
“It’s because I trust you the most, you idiot. I bet you ran all the way here the moment you got that phone call.”
You let out a knowing laugh and Ace pouts as a response, totally not trying to hide the tears that pricked the corner of his eyes
You’re not sure who’s supposed to do the comforting at that moment, considering you were involved in an accident and Ace is on the verge of tears - so you both don’t bother trying. The following conversation carries on as normal
Despite all his antics, you really feel like your faith in him is not misplaced.
Deuce Spade
You’ve always admired Deuce’s strength to change - and he’s always admired your loyalty
Sometimes he’d feel guilty for having you endure having him as a friend and you always have to shut him up by assuring him that there’s really nothing to endure
Even when you have to endure an almost life-ending accident, you can’t help but think of him first and foremost
His grip on the phone alternates between on the verge of breaking and so loose it’s a miracle he hasn’t dropped it yet when he gets the news
Someone goes to fetch him from the hospital and he cries on the way, not giving any room for the person to speak with him
He tries to put on a brave face when he walks through the halls in search of you but when he reaches you, he can’t resist the yell he lets out
“YUU! YOU’RE ALIVE!”
You end up having to calm him down a bit lest you two become the victims of a few dozen glares in that hospital
When he’s down to only sniffing, you tell him why he’s the first person you called
He almost broke down into tears again because of it
He’d hug you or hold your hand if your condition allows it and give you a teary smile that you of course reciprocate
You fill him in on what happened and he’ll listen intently, then offer to be by your side as long as you need him to
He’s always admired your strength - and you’ve always admired his loyalty.
Jack Howl
You always found his stubbornness amusing and honestly, he’s a bit confused as to why you stick by him all this time
Not really in a self-deprecating way - he’s always been more of a lone wolf. Only when he came to Night Raven College does he feel like he’s part of a pack now
And since you’re a part of that pack, he has a strong need to protect you, no matter the cost; so you can imagine his reaction when he got a call about you ending up in the hospital after an accident
The first thing he feels is anger; not at anything in particular yet at everything simultaneously. It’s called an accident for a reason yet why did the universe allow such a thing to happen to you?
He tries to calm himself down on the way to the hospital but it’s nothing short of difficult, even with the help of someone else
When he finally finds you, he finally lets out a breath he wasn’t even aware he was holding
You muster a smile up at him and it takes his all not to let tears break through the surface
“...I was really worried.”
You chuckle - in situations like this, his absent stubbornness really makes a difference, but you appreciate his honesty
He didn’t think twice of the fact that he was the first one you called but you tell him why anyway. A cute little smile adorns his features then
He says he’s honored that his feelings are mutual then swears to you he’ll try harder to protect you, even if it means switching places with you
You brush him off, saying you’d do the same. The conversation goes back and forth for a while after that
He’s always found your insistence endearing and frankly, he wouldn’t have you any other way.
Epel Felmier
A bit similar to Jack, only when coming to Night Raven College does he get to mingle with kids of his age due to his hometown
And one of those kids is none other than you! You two have grown so close and made some unforgettable memories together
Unfortunately though, one of those unforgettable memories includes the news of your accident. Not just for him - some may remember the scream he let out at the news
He begged Vil to let him borrow the blastcycle the Film Research Club has and Vil only nodded solemnly; nobody needs to see him cry on the way to you
He speeds through everything and anything possible; he doesn’t care whatever consequences he has to face after all this is over
When he reaches the hospital, he allows the staff to guide him to where you are as he catches his breath
He chokes out a gasp at the sight of you and calls out to you
“Y-Yuu… I’m so glad you’re alright…”
He sits on the stool provided by the hospital and his head droops low. He’s silent
You give him a moment to process everything. It’s a lot to take in. Even you didn’t think it could come to this
Five minutes pass. You sigh and tell him why he’s the first you reached out to. He mirrors your sigh and a small smile creeps onto his face
He’s grateful that he means so much to you; grateful that he can mean so much to someone. Despite himself, his heart swells with pride
Even when you are inches away from death, he feels like every memory can be a happy one as long as you’re in it.
Sebek Zigvolt
He sees you as an equal - and that’s saying something
He won’t admit it out loud but he feels less lonely for once, seeing that someone understands or at least respects him as much as you do
For once, he feels he can disconnect from his Malleus worship for a while and not feel like he’s betraying his trust
But when he hears news of you ending up in the hospital, he definitely feels a sharp pang of guilt pierce his chest; he’s betrayed your trust
He excuses himself from Malleus and apologizes profusely for willingly leaving his side for someone else, but he simply can’t abandon you
Malleus lets him go of course, even offers to tag along, but Sebek assures that Malleus is needed more where he is
His head rested in his hands while he laments in his transport, breathing heavily
It takes his all not to shout your name in search of your ward when he reaches the hospital; but he can no longer hold it back when his eyes land on you
“YUU…! YOU’RE… You have no idea…”
You wave to him as he runs to your side, tears at the corner of his eyes
You rub his back as he quietly sobs for a minute, even feeling like sobbing yourself at some point; this man holds so much love for you
You tell him why you summoned only him for now - the tears continue to stream but now he smiles and puts a hand to his head
How silly of him. Of course. How could he make such assumptions about your relationship? He could never betray you. Every moment only strengthens your trust in each other.
heart of gold
aitana bonmati x WAG!reader
summary: there's a big reason why you've fallen in love with her
warnings: angst, bronze medal match
a/n: the winner of the vote was this fic, here you go <3
Tumblr media
the roar of the crowd around you faded into the background as the final whistle blew. germany had secured the bronze medal, and spain was left with nothing.
your stomach churned as you watched the spanish players slump to the ground, faces etched with exhaustion and disappointment. but your eyes were fixed on aitana.
there she was, the ballon d’or winner, the heart of the team, standing tall amid the wreckage. even as the loss sank in, she was comforting her younger teammates, cradling their heads against her chest as they sobbed.
aitana wasn’t breaking — not yet, at least. that’s who she was. selfless, grounded, the strength for everyone else.
you watched as laura, laura freigang, asked aitana to swap shirts shortly after. the blonde wondered if it was too early to ask, but aitana gave her reassurance as she took the german shirt and gave laura the red spanish one.
your hands gripped your camera, not sure if you should even take any pictures at this moment.
your job as a sports photographer had brought you to moments like this, but this time was different.
this time, it was personal. you’d met aitana through your work, and somewhere between the flashes of your camera and the interviews, you’d fallen in love with her. it wasn’t just her skill on the pitch that drew you in, though. it was the way she treated everyone — humble, kind, always thinking of others first.
but right now, all you wanted was for your girlfriend to think about herself, to let herself feel what she was bottling up. your chest tightened, wishing there was something you could do to take away the hurt she was surely feeling inside.
you glanced over at the germans celebrating. you’d worked with a few of them too, knew their faces, their stories.
you were happy for them, but that happiness was muted by the pain you felt for aitana. she deserved something — something to show for the blood, sweat, and tears she’d put into this tournament.
finally, after what felt like an eternity, aitana’s gaze found yours. her eyes softened when she saw you, though she still wore that brave face for her team.
she gave you a small nod, as if to say she was okay. but you knew better.
she finished speaking with her teammates and made her way over to you, the weight of the match clinging to her like a shadow. when she reached you, her shoulders were slumped, her walls still up.
“i’m sorry,” she said in english, voice low and strained.
“you don’t need to apologize, aitana. not for this.” you shook your head immediately, stepping closer, your hand gently brushing her arm.
“it feels like i should,” she muttered, her voice trembling slightly.
“i should’ve done more. i should’ve—”
“aitana, no,” you interrupted, squeezing her hand.
“you did everything. you were incredible out there, like always. no one can take that away from you.”
“but it wasn’t enough. there is no medal.” her eyes flicked away, as if she couldn’t believe your words, as if the loss had clouded her judgment.
“that’s not true,” you said firmly, lifting your hand to gently cradle her cheek, guiding her gaze back to yours.
“you’ve done so much more than you realize. yes, the result sucks, but look at what you’ve accomplished. ballon d’or, you guys are the current world champions, and today, you were the one holding everyone together with alexia. you kept going, even when the team was falling apart. that’s worth more than any medal.”
aitana’s lips quirked into a small, sad smile, but the frustration was still there, simmering just below the surface.
“i wanted something for them,” she whispered. “for the younger ones. i wanted them to have something to show for this.”
your heart ached as you saw the selflessness in her eyes. even now, she wasn’t thinking about herself.
“they’ll have you to look up to, aitana,” you said softly. “you’re their role model. they’ll remember how you were there for them today, how you helped them through this. that’s something they’ll carry with them forever.”
finally, aitana’s shoulders slumped, the tension easing slightly as she let out a long, shaky breath. “i don’t know if that’s enough.”
“it is,” you assured her, your thumb brushing over her cheek. “you’re enough. always. not just to them, but for me.”
her eyes searched yours, and for the first time since the match ended, her walls began to crumble.
the brave facade she’d been holding up for her teammates fell away, and you saw the hurt, the exhaustion, the vulnerability she’d been hiding.
“i just— i hate feeling like i failed,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
you wrapped your arms around her, pulling her close, her head resting against your shoulder.
“you didn’t fail. you’re not capable of failing. you’ve given everything to this sport, aitana, and it shows. maybe not today, but in the way you play, the way you lead, the way you care.”
she was quiet for a moment, her arms slowly wrapping around you in return. “you make it sound so easy,” she murmured, her breath warm against your neck.
“it’s not easy,” you said, running your fingers through her hair. “but it’s the truth. you are incredible, not just because of your awards. you’re incredible because you’ve got the biggest heart, aitana. you’ve always put others first, even when you didn’t have to.”
she pulled back slightly to look at you, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
“it’s okay,” you whispered, brushing your thumb across her cheek. “feel everything right now. but when you’re ready, remember what you’ve accomplished. remember how much you’ve given. and remember that, no matter what, you’re still the woman i fell in love with because of who you are, not what you’ve won.”
aitana finally let the tears fall, and you held her as she cried, her grip on you tightening.
you didn’t care that you were still in the middle of the stadium, that people might be watching or snapping pictures. none of that mattered right now. what mattered was aitana, and being there for her the way she always was for everyone else.
“thank you,” she whispered after a while, her voice hoarse.
“always,” you replied softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “i’m so proud of you. and i always will be.”
she gave you a small, grateful smile, her eyes still red but softer now. “i don’t know what i’d do without you.”
“lucky for you, you’ll never have to find out,” you teased gently, earning a quiet laugh from her.
aitana leaned into you again. you smiled knowing that she still had a bright future ahead of her.
you’ve always admired aitana and her heart of gold, you will never stop admiring it. its a big reason why you've fallen in love with her.
