guys thinking about being in the bau as per usual. you do art as a hobby but anyways obviously you get called in at weird times when you’re not expecting it. one day you get called in to work a case in the middle of a painting session, so you quickly change clothes and rush out the door, almost forgetting to use the hairbrush you have stashed in your car before going inside. you meet morgan and reid waiting for the elevator and they greet you whatever, reid tries to tell you something but morgan cuts him off, asking if you were busy when you got called in with a teasing smile. but you don’t get why so you’re just like, “well not really i was just painting.” and morgan just laughs you’re like ??? but you ignore it and make your way to the briefing room where prentiss says hi then is like “y/n, you have— uh nothing, nevermind,” and then laughs a little so you’re all “what’s up you guys?? oh god, please don’t tell me i have paint on my face” and (far too quickly) prentiss is like “no, no, no you don’t have anything on your face.” you’re about to question them more but rossi and hotch walk in and sit down. hotch is all “thank you for coming in on such short notice, go ahead jj.” and then he turns to you and just goes “and y/n you have paint on your forehead.” you mumble a quick sorry before desperately rubbing at your forehead and trying not to kill your colleagues <3
