The car started with an in-house frame design, using Capco to fabricate all the pieces and connect all the systems. Steel 2.5 x 4-inch box construction (instead of 2×3) provided the additional room for ancillary parts to run inside the frame instead of on it. Without the carbon fiber, Evolution is a full perimeter frame roller with an 8.50-certified roll cage.

With the frame on the ground, SpeedKore began producing molds and laying up carbon fiber panels using the natural seams. Starting with the roof, the car was built from the top down to the rocker panels. Aluminum tubs and other substructures were built to support the drivetrain and tie it all into the cross members and firewall. The carbon fiber parts were temporarily fastened to those substructures. When the fit was right, they used 3M panel bond to make things permanent.

Once the carbon fiber was cured, Evolution was rolled into a booth and cleared then blocked and cleared again to get the surface smooth. Since you can see through the clear coat, the underlying panel had to be perfect.

CAD software did the steering and suspension analysis before the 20×11 and 19×8 Satin Bronze HRE three-piece wheels were built to ensure fitment of both the wheels and the Brembo 14-inch discs and six-piston calipers.
