My five favorite fics that I’ve written (in no particular order):

1. dig up the bones (but leave the soul alone) [saurondriel in-universe | E | post-series 1 finale | 48.9k | 8/? ] — To stop the spread of evil, there is nothing Galadriel won't sacrifice – not even herself. And so, she accepts Sauron's proposal to rule at his side, to balance his darkness with her light. 

Balance. This world demands balance.

The words taste of oleander petals and belladonna berries, poisoned sweetness that coats her mouth; like bitter hemlock and sour monkshood.

“Then by all means,” Galadriel says, her throat tight. “Let us rule together.”

2. oh, can’t you hear that scratching? (there’s something at the door) [saurondriel modern mob au | E | 27.2k | 5/5 ] — To escape her ghosts and her grief, Galadriel goes for an ill-advised drink at a nightclub on the wrong side of town and inadvertently catches the attention of its owner, Halbrand.

Before Celeborn died, Galadriel had not been afraid of the dark.

3. lend me some sugar (I am your neighbor) [haladriel modern au | E | 12k | 2/2 ]—  There are only two things Galadriel hates about her apartment — the thin walls, and her new neighbor: Halbrand Maia, and his endless parade of late-night hookups.

“I don’t know who you think you’re performing for, but I can assure you no one on this floor is interested in hearing you get laid.”

“Performing,” Halbrand repeats, trying to contain a laugh, “is that what you think is happening?”

“Why else make all those noises?” Galadriel scowls. “This isn’t porn, this is real life; you don’t need to be that…that vocal about it.”

“You do if it’s good.”

4. when there’s nothing but dark and sound (I will be beside you) [haladriel in-universe | T | Human!Halbrand, pre-season 1 finale | 7.2k | 2/2 ] — Traveling from the Southlands to Eregion, it dawns on Galadriel that Elvish medicines will only do Halbrand any good if he survives the journey to reach them.

Something sharp and bright burst in Galadriel’s chest, turning the fingers on Halbrand’s jaw into talons. “You promised,” she hissed, anger like a sudden fire searing her throat. “‘This is not over,’ you said to me. ‘I will not abandon these lands and condemn them to burn.' Were these lies, Halbrand, or will you now count oath-breaking among your many sins?”

5. take what the water gave me (oh my love, don't forsake me) [haladriel in-universe | M | Human!Halbrand, pre-season 1 finale | 3.9k | 1/1 ] — Halbrand seeks out Galadriel after the battle for the Southlands. What they bare to each other beneath the moonlight – souls, bodies, hearts – may offer solace during tragedy, but hope cannot be built upon lies.

Man was not made to touch the moon, the stars. And yet, Halbrand held Galadriel in his arms in defiance of order and fate.
