I think without Wen Xiao, Zhuo Yichen would have been way more at risk of growing up to hate both demons and nuance
#like part of how he stayed open was having a loved one#and an unusually demon-positive loved one at that#no parallels to be drawn to real life whatsoever (sarcasm)#fangs of fortune#you could argue he hated nuance at the beginning anyway#but I think that was just a very understandable Zhu Yan- shaped blind spot#although getting to know ZYZ definitely made him better at it#I like wen xiao so much. one of these days I’ll think of a great text post for her
