A thing I like to do with ensemble shows, is imagining who would be who on a Star Trek spaceship. So...

The ship would obviously be called USS Pittsburg. Affectionately known as The Pitt, because it's an old boat, that's falling apart in places. They always gets shitty assignments that no one else wants too, and that causes further damage that they have to deal with.

The Captain is, obviously, Robby. Captain Robby, has almosst as nice ring to it, as Doctor Robby yes/yes?

I took a moment of pondering, and decided that his first officer would be Heather Collins. She's also a science officer, who doesn't have the time for much sciencing, because of all her XO duties. Oh! She's just taken over that role from Jack Abbot, who had to resign due to treatment resistant depression.

Frank Langdon doesn't strike me as captain's Number One, even though the show's Robby calls Langdon his best resident. I feel he has too much restless energy (or maybe it's RedBull). So, he would be the ship's navigator and a pilot, prone to taking too many risks (that are absolutely necessary though ;) ).

I see Samira Mohan as the ship's Doctor, who's constantly arguing with Captain Robby about his lack of concern for his crew's safety and wellbeing. In my AU, Captain Robby has utmost respect for Doctor Mohan. Kiara Alfaro is the Counselor, of course.

Cassie McKay gets the role of Chief Engineer and she's closely assisted by her smart and cute deputy Mateo.

Now. The "newcomers".

My baby (and your baby too, I know) Melissa King (everyone calls me "Mel") is the communications officer. Also, she's Sunshine and maybe a Trill? Right, I have to think about the races too, but mayhaps I'll do it in another post.

Trinity Santos, I think, would fit the position of Tactical Officer. She's fresh out of Academy and thinks she knows everything. Problem is, the position was formerly occupied by Jack Abbot and expectations are high.

And two Cadets, Dennis Whitaker and Victoria Javadi. Dennis is learning to become a doctor, but is not yet. He gets assigned to the Med Bay, because Doctor Mohan demanded someone be there to help her when shit hits the fan, what happens fairly often. Dennis mostly plays the role of a nurse.

Victoria was supposed to be assigned to the Science Division, but since Heather doesn't have the time to teach her at the moment, she goes to Engineering, to be under Chief McKay's supervision.

Also, we have Dana Evans, whom I also considered for the position of Number One, but decided against it. She's the supply officer, and, mostly as a hobby that's partially related to her job, she made the mess hall into a more friendly place than is common on starships. Yes, replicators still dispense food, but Dana makes sure to talk to the crew, add some "real" thing here and there. Sometimes she cooks too.

And Yolanda Garcia is a second pilot, who sometimes clashes with Langdon.

Going with Warrior cats for this one. Our most controversial/unpopular WaCa opinion is that no, TallJake is not "basically canon". Nor is Nightheart "transcoded". There is zero queer rep in these books, and there probably never will be because the Erins and Harper-Collins are homophobic and are hiding it behind the age-old "It'd get banned in other countries" excuse. In terms of like. Actual stuff about the characters? First off: our trans headcanons (or our cis headcanons). We headcanon Ashfur as nonbinary and I'm certain that a lot of people would get mad about this because "He's evil and an asshole and a creep so he has to be cis". Do people still do that actually or was that left behind when Draik//inator left. Also, Redtail is cis. I am sick of people headcanoning Redtail as trans based on the fucking male calico thing and nothing else. That being said, Sol is a trans girl. None of the "male calicos" in WaCa are transmasc to me. Also I think that more people should HC characters using neopronouns. The Erins won't give us that kind of thing so we need to do it ourselves. This one's unpopular but not controversial but Squirrelflight/Graymist has untapped potential. So does SolSquirrel, althoug people like that one a bit more. Consider with me: SolSquirrelMist. Also unpopular but not controversial is Hollyleaf being Ashfur's apprentice instead of Lionblaze. ALSO. System Brightheart. I will not elaborate on this one but those who remember this are awesome. Also: Darktail being mostly white with dark brown, almost black points. I'm not sure why we picture him like this but we do. And also ginger Brokenstar is really good to us (in our AU he's Jake's kid and was adopted by Raggedstar).

*A bit sad too. He really really wanted a little child with you.

*Not sure how to help you through this, but at least tries to be helpful.

*Takes you far from the city to another estate, a place more near to nature so you can relax and think.

*Everyday he brings you nice things like fresh fruit and flowers. He keeps a sacred silence, doesn’t want to talk about the affair for it could make you more deppresed.

Valdemar:

*This is a delicate moment. They aren’t used to bat an eye about human fragility, but this was your (and their) child… and they failed in keep them alive.

*It’s the first (and probably only) time they show up a bit of humanity and everyone can see they’re angry. Angry towards themselves, unable to understand how they could miss something that esential.

*Eventually they will concentrate to help you, first as a doctor (pretending their self-confidence in that field isn’t hurt after this) and then as your partner, althoug they don’t know how.

*Tries to avoid depression devour you, and if you need it they’ll accept you crying in their arms and releasing yourself for everything you feel.

Valerius:

*He’s used to drink for fun and to avoid the headaches the rest of the courtiers cast on him, but this time he has gone too far and even can’t stand up for a few days.

*Devastated. That’s the word to explain his situation.

*Will convince you to stay away from the city for a few weeks, even months, and in a very intimate confidence will beg you to keep him away from his beloved wine for he knows this is a bad moment to drown himself in it.

*Maybe during the process he can cast a blame on you and vice versa, but he feels immediately guilty for telling you that kind of things. The recovery will be long and painful for you both, but you will endure.

Vulgora:

*Angry at doctors, angry at nurses, angry at furniture and also angry at baby because they made you cry (?) 

*They are not a huge baby-lover so the only thing that keep them near you is… well, you. You are more important for them and if this plot has made you feel that bad, they’ll let you release and cry and…

*…punch things. They encourage you to punch and rip things off. They want you to take all your rage away via destroying stuff.

*Sometimes a little clueless tries to help you saying that you can have “another one”. And sorry but it’ll take a couple of times to make them understand you don’t want to hear nothing about babies for a while.

Volta:

*Cries along with you for days. She doesn’t even eat and that’s the biggest red flag for everyone.

*She tries to put herself together for you and make everything to help you, giving you food, making some walk across the palace gardens, playing boardgames…

*Also calls some doctors if you feel physically in pain. Everytime.

*Kisses your hands and is always ready to help you if you’re in crisis, reminding you this wasn’t your fault, that she still loves you, that you can get over this and she’ll be there to protect you.
