there was word play going on there with the senju and ashikaga brothers' name. obviously they are all kanji but 'ashi' also reads 'leg' as a pun. they are 'arms' brothers vs 'legs' brothers hehe.

ashikaga takauji had a son named 'senju-o' and later had his 'first' grandkid whose reign would see the peace he dreamed of.

in the mythos references, before his daughter - sun goddess amaterasu, ascended as queen of japan, izanagi [god of heavens and life] left her a necklace. he disappeared, no sources say he died, until he reappeared later to talk sense into one of his problem child being susanoo, the god of sea and storms.

Waiit that part about the necklace is actually so intresting to me, I didn't know that bit of mythology. Because if you do know it probably makes Hashirama having a powerful necklace not seem like something that comes out of nowhere lmao...
