@kanyewest album looks just like the @hellotelos logo. The Unsung Hero

I was feeding my neice today when I noticed two cats rubbing each other's ears. I don't know much about how they cuddle or snuggle but the view fascinates me.

I put my neice down and went to the cats direction only to get an almost-scratch treat. I laugh at my own madness. Then I remember somebody whom I think was even madder than me. The man who attempted to rub two cats together thinking he could generate electricity by it. But instead, all he got was a large scratch. That man, ladies and gentlemen was Nikola Tesla.

Just today, I had the chance to read an article about him. Well actually, I didn't know much about the guy. I even thought he was a woman at first, well given the thought of how his name sounds, I bet you will too.

Anyway, I chose him.as my unsung hero because for me, just like anuybody else, he should also be given some credits to mostly the things we enjoy today.

For those who didn't know him (Like I was at first), he was a man who owned 300 patents to his name. Yes folks, you heard me right. He was the brain of some of the inventions we used today. One of it is the reason why our house is well-lit, the Alternate Current (AC).

During his time, he worked as one of the engineers of Thomas Edison's company. He redesigned Direct Current, Edison's invention and gave birth to Alternate Current (AC) that we use today. His boss, Edison, dared him to give 50,000 dollars if he could really make it. So he did everything to make the AC happen. By the time he finally made it, Edison cowered and told him that he was just joking when he said those things. Poor Tesla, he must have missed the American humor so he left.

When he left Edison's company, George Westinghouse offered him a roof to stay. He worked in Westinghouse's company. When Westinghouse found out about his AC invention, he used it to his own advantage. He commercialized the system to compete with Edison's Direct Current. And this my friends prompted the "war of the currents".

But Edison was such a jerk. He smeared Tesla's invention by fabricating stories about it. He even electrocuted a live elephant at circus just to prove his point.

But you know what they say about good people right? They're always on the right track. The people were convinced that AC is more convenient to use than DC. So Edison gave up the fight and go with the AC.

Since then, Tesla's influence went further than his invention. But when he died on January 7, 1943, his light bulb lost its glow too.

But he will always be my unsung hero.
