An AU inspired by some aspect of the Anderson films set in Jill's main verse (games) and thanks to @pretty-isnt-pretty-enough for helping me understand the concepts HSHDHS . Subject to change as I figure this out.

A SKILLED OPERATIVE , Jillian has been through several special forces organizations, involving the 75th Rangers Regiment and Delta Force . Possessing an incredible stubborn streak , she tends to be quite focused on whatever she decides to take on, and rarely will she deviate from her commitments. Jillian tends to be far more blunt and forward compared to her original counterpart , and tends to be far more no-nonsense and doesn't give her time to things she doesn't believe is worth it .

CALCULATING AND DIFFICULT TO READ , Jillian's personal life is exactly that, personal . There's very few things she'd let slip, especially during her career as a Delta Force operative and as her newer career as a merc-for-hire / mercenary for her own ends, and her morality is extremely skewed compared to her original counterpart . She doesn't typically care about what it takes to do something - for her , the end typically justifies the means , and she can tend to be rather ruthless and brutal when it comes to things . Jillian doesn't typically care about the safety of those she works with / civilians like her main counterpart , and collateral is just that - collateral.

CAN TEND TO BE RATHER FIERY , Jillian definitely does still have a temper enough to match her original , but tends to be unsettlingly apathetic / composed a lot of the time . She doesn't have the emotional dysregulation that Jill Valentine has post Kijuju , and whenever she does something, it's typically done with a clear head - though like her original counterpart , she holds grudges , and holds them for a long , long time - and this time it gets to the point where she'll physically hunt down whoever offended her where mainline Jill typically doesn't take direct action unless it's against specific individuals .

history/backstory :

The majority of the following is completely fabricated and has no basis on real occurrences / history , and is largely based on the original Jill Valentine's history to provide a closer comparison between the two skill-wise .

Jillian doesn't remember a lot past when she joined the U.S. military barring some sparse interactions with her family - she had a strained relationship with her mother , but her father taught her a lot of what she knows now . Upon joining the military quite young , she quickly rose thanks to her determination and capability to make decisions without being affected by emotional irrationality , and became a Captain within the army , and was soon accepted into Ranger school. She excelled at bomb disposal , breaking and entering and also went through sniper school , and upon turning the appropriate age , joined and was selected for the prestigious Delta Force . She spent several years within the group, conducting operations , manhunts , raids , and several bouts of special reconnaissance , before Jillian resigned and moved onto mercenary work .

She found that her skills far better fit that world , and took on several assignments from various groups globally , and entered a several year long contract with Tricell , which dissolved upon the dissolvement of the company itself . Jillian knows how to cover her traces , and was involved in several operations involving hits , assassinations , manhunts, theft of confidential information and anything else she was being paid for , and her lack of morality helped cement her position in the business . Typically moves locations every few days and has a bunch of forged identity papers / passports if she's not directly transporting herself .

POSSESSES A SUFFOCATING MORALITY , Améris typically always means well whenever she's assigned to an operation or to an investigation . Believes she has an obligation to help whoever comes to her with a problem , and always tries to fix that problem if she can - she's dedicated to her work enough that she'll stay up whole nights in order to draw parallels to something .

NOT AS JADED AS HER ORIGINAL COUNTERPART , Améris typically presents a kind and friendly exterior to everybody she encounters . She's not soft or anything , far from it - she still possesses a little bit of stubbornness , but she doesn't have the same sailor's mouth or bluntness as her original counterpart , and typically acts in a much more professional manner . She trained her own police dog , and lives with him in her apartment . Améris typically tends to be more introverted and quiet , but she has a tendency to be very vocal when she's got something that needs to be shared - but unlike her original counterpart , she's a lot more willing to go out with friends , chat , and share her history .

Améris was brought up in Bordeaux , France , to a single father and a mother who was never particularly in the picture. She had an early interest in puzzles and in hands-on work , and from teenagerhood , worked as a mechanic until they moved to the U.S , where she continued her trade and also applied to the local police academy . She was accepted soon enough, and worked as a cop for the better part of two years before moving into a detective position for her uncanny ability to notice patterns and similar things that would benefit police operations , and she worked around the clock. She was particularly called out to suspicious occurrences, homicide cases and other severe calls , and it got to the point she sectioned off a whole section of her apartment for her murderboard and police files and the like.

Améris still worked on mechanics as a hobby , but her police investigations often took precedence , and still does. Tries to take on every case handed to her + has the dedication to chase down all leads handed to her in the hope that it could help whoever's reporting it in .
