Sparked by a mutual talking about her version of MQOS @theladyelizabeth welcome to being my friend etc I will get sparked for things via friends. I actually realised that OT3 verse Mary Queen of Scots has…I won’t say it’s an uncomplicated life because it isn’t but. 

Like here she is not going to be trying for the throne because there’s five (male) heirs who are incredibly popular and are legitimate - straight from the Papacy etc. See here for details on The Great Settlement. Are there people on both sides who are annoyed that the other side of the religious debate hasn’t been entirely pushed out of England? Yes, yes absolutely (this will be coming up later) but it’s a very small minority and even there they don’t actually want to not have the Royals, they just want to ‘remove X and then everything will be fine’ type thing. At least I think so - I cannot imagine the Pope in this world would be supportive + Queen Regnant Juana would absolutely not be. 

Also MQOS having a daughter with her first husband Francis. (Did I take the Reign idea of Francis being the love of Mary’s life? Yes, yes I did). Do I think there was possibly Some Dramatic in her life even so? I mean, probably. This part of the alt!history is very much still evolving so help me. 

(How do I keep track of things you may ask. I have a tag for and I take a tonne of notes and also I need a giant board to stick relevant bits of paper up why do you ask ;))

More Alts but this time with Mezza. I like to imagine each Alt has a slightly different personality from the others. This elizabeth is slightly more cheeky than her other counterparts

Now I know it’s still debated wether MQoS killed her husband but I have to admit I do feel she had some involvement in his murder

Have Alt Mary Queen of Scots (Mezza Scots). I tried to give them a pinup girl style (the original outfit is somewhat based off of Katy Perry’s ‘One of the Boys’ outfit)

Arty,what are your favorites alternatives?And what are your next projects with yours ocs?

My fave alts wold be: Elizabeth 2 (Muslim), Mary 3 (Indian (south Asian)), Edward 4 (Latino/Hispanic), Jane Grey 2 (Black), Mezza/MQoS 1 (Black) and 3 (Taiwanese). I don’t know why these ones specifically but I loved how these designs came out the most. Mary I designs as a whole I thought were my best out of the series of alts I did.

I’m currently working on Lazuli’s story so that’s the next thing. Then I’ll try and make the Eben v Hyeon animatic (the Plagues). But that’s all I have planned at the mo for the foreseeable future. Small and reachable targets for now.
