ooh i cant tell if my boss is antsy about the election, if she hates us for being bad at our jobs, or if i am tactless (probably combination of the first and last ones) but i just got told off this morningggggg

#i said 'the future of this country is not that special' and she goes 'of course. ur not from here.'#i say 'half my family is from here' she goes #'are you a citizen?' i say no. she makes a 'so there' face #and then she says 'i am an american citizen. i have nowhere else to live'#yeah and we're really living it up in AUSTRALIA with our incredible conservative national politics #also. the US election will affect anybody who lives outside the US 100x worse than will affect Americans #not saying it wont be bad for yanks but will be worse for the people of palestine. and i also dont believe #bringing up my nationality was super cute of her #but hey! i was being a commie asshole at 8.30 in the morning.#to be totally fair though if you want me to not be a commie asshole at 8.30 in the morning #don't make me wake up and be places at 8.30 in the morning RANT OVER.#vent #she speaks
