I do think there's kind of a frustrating problem in the STP fanbase where people either downplay or refuse to acknowledge how TLQ's actions impact the Princess
#HEA is probably the most obvious example#but also like#y'all. Nightmare comes from either threatening to lock her away forever#or just abandoning her to bleed to death alone in the basement#Tower comes from trying to kill her#while only you as a player can decide on the reasoning behind your actions#you're really not innocent in any scenario#and that's fine. I don't want to derail these tags with a lengthy tangent about how 'it's good when characters do bad things'#and 'i actually think Smitten's actions in HEA add to his character & make him more interesting'#oh god another good example#in the new ending I saw people complaining TLQ's dialogue is 'too mean'#guys. you're trying to kill someone who bears no ill will towards you.#that's. A mean thing to do.#also you build your own character & decide who TLQ is yourself?
