listened to a podcast talking about this a bit, so im gonna be unhinged for a hot second about the orange cassidy belt corruption arc

i would love one day to write a kinda comprehensive "guide" to all of this, but i'd have to go back to watch a lot of stuff for it (so it would probably have to be after im done with all kip vs oc rewatch stuff. ofc if theres critical changes to this situation that might change idk let me know if this is anything of interest?), buttttt heres a few misc highlights for what i can pull out from the top of my head

first of all, here. what i believe is one of the most pivotal moments in this whole thing. so during the match with pac where oc won the title, danhausen threw a curse at pac literally right above the title

now this was because pac was trying to cheat by using a ring hammer (twice). which honestly kind of already tells us a lot about corruption, i dont remember if he was already kind of mean and wicked with the hammers before his reign, i mean pac has always been a bastard, but you know. did he start doing this after he won the title? cause that would be saying a lot

this also goes hard in this match, cause after pac is caught trying to use the hammer, oc also almost uses it on him. at this point, its just almost tho. its very close, but he chooses to throw it away, and win the match clean. the key here is, what the title is already doing to him before he even gets his hands on it

anyways. so oc does this title reign. all is swell up until the point kip challenges for it, cause thats where the mind games begin which i believe is an important part of this whole deal. kip separates him from his friends effectively, continuous taunting and mind games, he pushes oc to his limits mentally, forcing him to tap into a very dark place in his mind to overcome the odds to beat kip (also oc was showing the first cases of more vicious behavior in this match so like)

like literally this whole storyline is confirmed by the man himself to be about this like. how could this not tap into and mess with ocs psyche going forward tho

also this is just my things but. at revolution, that one time he tagged with danhausen to challenge for the tag titles, oc was the one to change his gear to black. tbh this is personally for me where this whole corruption brainrot started, but its worth mentioning, cause he has not done it since. even when teaming with hook, it was hook who changed his gear colors to match the denim. im just saying (as in, danhausen has to have a finger in this pie somehow. he just absolutely has to)

i didnt watch a lot of what happened with house of black, but thats where the physical issues started. im just inclined to believe that the physical pains just amplified his need to push himself, to show the world that hes worthy of holding this belt and being a champion despite being injured - cause thats what all this was about, right? oc having to prove to the world that despite how hes been viewed up until this point, hes actually an incredible wrestler and a worthy champion. come hell or high water, he will prove that

and thats part of why the belt was so important to him, which could easily be also turned around to be the so called "siren call" of the belt. get me and keep me with whatever way is necessary to prove yourself as a worthy champion. yes even if it costs your mental and physical health and all your friends

and so this got pushed until he literally couldnt do it anymore as mox took oc to his limits and defeated him after physically beating him down worse than before (or i mean, a week after stadium stampede? yeah both of these are factors here lbr). and you saw the miserable creature oc was after losing that title. finding solace in friends that were champions (hook and kris. i think this is an important plot point, i dont think we saw him around chuck and trent during this time. the best friends with no titles....), maybe trying to grasp for some of that former glory that he used to have

until he won the title again. and he was HELLBENT on getting it back. and after he won it, well.. i shared thoughts about this here. which is a very interesting contrast to the first time, a year ago, when he won it the first time

i dont know if i had more thoughts rn, i have lost the plot so heres everything for now. just.. yeah. i have way more things somewhere in my blog and like said i should watch all this back to get everything, but quickly putting it together heres few key points of things. anyways enjoy or whatever. feel free to share thoughts im all ears (especially if i missed anything seemingly key stuff)

10. at what point in the process do you come up with titles, and how easy or hard is that for you?

what the fuck is a title bitch im gonna kill you

kshjsd no but most of the time, pretty late in the process. the exception is with longfics, like sotm, where the title is emblematic of the themes in the entire thing. but for oneshots and things half the time i'm out here titling them for the first time as i stare at the ao3 new work upload form in consternation. it's easier than it used to be! i used to grab a lot of song lyrics or lines from poetry, but these days i tend to slap things together that SOUND poetic to me but are actually just original.

i. i think it was anatomy of a flower bc i couldnt remember the structure of the pistil. do not ask why i needed to know this (and it ended up literally not at all relevant for the fic bc who the fuck thinks about this during situations. anyway)

YES. always. i outline so extensively. i can't write if i don't know where i'm going because i overthink where i'm supposed to be going and then i don't actually write anything. that said, sometimes i change the outline mid-story bc something else developed organically or i had a new idea!

for a second i misread this as mr. sarcastic and was instantly transported to a hell realm where every tim fic featured him as mr sarcastic only and that was the dominant trope. anyway,

i do kinda enjoy a sarcastic narrator but only in specific ways. generally i don't care for it with fourth wall breaks or narration addressing the reader UNLESS it's specifically like a meta kind of thing overall and not Just for quips. they also have to be genuine and have real emotions about things. sarcasm is funny to me but when it's written as an excuse for total bland emotional detachment that is boring as FUCK.

TIWIFL it was obviously based on trauma stuff. the title gave it away ("this is what it felt like). the original ideas are entirely thrown out so i can be more clear about it without caring for spoilers. the first version of the story was about Mick, and her group of friends who i think were highschool students. the general line up of characters was Mick, Mars, Babs, and Haiden (a few other unimportant ones). Mick is a sophomore who was in a toxic abusive relationship with Haiden, a senior. Babs is a freshman who had been/was being sexually abused by an older man who groomed her. Mars is a senior who dealt with extreme anger problems that often resulted in him abusing girlfriends he tried to date. Yeah it was uh, a myriad of problems. I had no clear story with all of them together. Mick was a lone character at first who was to have a comic that had her exploring memories she forgot. Eventually they were to all be in a single story though i dont know how. there are some random drawings and map parts related to them though!

eventually Mick got selected for a short finished comic- Trip- which personified the idea of her past manipulative and gaslighting relationship. but i had no longer ideas at the time. now its just her and some new characters for this game jam story i am whipping up.

either way, while i didnt get any solid story for the old stuff, these guys sure represented some tough topics. and the content i did make was very triggering for me to even do. this version of the story may have gotten thrown out for many reasons (well, i had no story i could figure out, for one) and i think my age and mental state halted much of exploring it properly at the time. it was like desperate trauma dumping to get things out but it wasnt healthy- i think a lot didnt happen either bc i was throwing Types of trauma at various characters bc i needed an outlet. but still looking back at it, there was nothing wrong with trying to cover that- i ended up facing a lot of conflict and anxiety when i saw all the various opinions of Who could tell those stories and How to tell them. im sure that piecing out exploring these characters, would make a good story. and maybe i can still use this in my new iteration of this long running messy all over the place story. idk.

Penrose especially is one that was intended to feel more like "home" in the sense its grounded in a simple modern day world in a small town inspired by mine/one very close to me, and the concept of exploring forgotten memories is definitely based of myself- and then covering topics that are close/familiar to me. But when i started to of think of why's or what's for the memory loss topic and the trauma topic i did start to hold back when i took it out- for all the reasons echoed prior. i end up with a story that doesnt have any of the content i keep wanting it to have!

its current story now has to do with recovering memories of a cult Mick never realized would have been a cult in the first place. there is a lot that happens in cults, a lot of hard shit to consume. and its not all relevant to my characters or story or... i guess maybe, i made sure to write it so i didnt have to try and tackle those subjects. And yes, I don't by any means intend to or need to cover every possible bad thing that happens in a cult. But at the same time I know there is a lot of me that is nervous at even trying to explore themes of abuse, grooming, etc if it were to come up. and some of it HAS to if this is about a character coming to realize the bad of something she normalized for so long!!

its a whole process to realize this now. i want to change it and i guess its also hard to change my OC stories AGAIN. but im trying to be aware and trying to push away anxiety about the stories and subjects i want to write.

So I was on tiktok for a while 2020-2022 ish...I only post like my art and clips there once in a while but I don't really use the ap anymore. But I was there when the censoring started.

So originally the unalive, segs, etc was used because educators, or those sharing a hyperfixation based around a less "advertiser friendly" topic. (which ranged from like video games, comic books, dnd, world history, in my case when the for you page actually showed me what I wanted) and Tiktok for some reason deciding to suppress any mention of those said topics even if I clearly stated I was over the age of 18 and just, I assume its mostly due to advertisers being puritanical idiots kinda like what happened on youtube where even swearing in the first 10 minutes was demonitized...which to be perfectly frank with half the shit they advertise or had deals with break so many of the unspoken rules we are barely given is kinda hypocritical just saying.

So people noticed their vids weren't getting views, now the circles I followed those who noticed were less annoyed they weren't getting pushed out to new people, more pissed their own followers weren't getting their vids, which gonna be honest if I am following someone I want their content and be known when they post up a thing. I mean still annoyed their numbers were dropping and also screwing up their money earning but like you kinda get the idea.

So when creators noticed the stupid levels of punishing you for mentioning these certain words, and I also wanna add they punished artists selling product as well, you couldn't mention other social medias (which lead to bird app, purple gaming ap, red ap, terms) You couldn't mention your own shop etsy or other wise (even though tiktok had ad deals with etsy for a bit if I remember) and just tiktok claims they weren't suppressing but it was bloody obvious and we have the numbers. And a lot of people well at least with the artist selling product, its their lively hood, they are using tiktok to show their works and sell their stuff and make some form of money and it was very annoying. As an artist I hated it because you couldn't advertise anything outside of tiktok...hell you couldnt even fucking say tiktok on your vids because I assume they were suppressing folks who were being critical about how the company was treating their creators.

So the stupid words as everyone calls it are being used to circumvent the massive unneeded censorship that was being done via a company that claims it wasn't trying to do that. If you remember the demonitization of youtube videos with certain words in title or description fiasco where someone figured out like the lists of words you couldn't use if you wanted to keep your money...similar concept but on an almost larger scale.

People wanted to educate and teach but couldn't because you are using no no words...so they rebelled and did leet speak and weird words to replace where outside of tiktok and youtube makes you sound weird.

NOW THAT BEING SAID! I do hate that people are now using terms that are already established and trying to skew the algorithm into their favor. I hate when people tag bomb on other social medias and use terms not related to a thing, I hate the buzz words click bate titles. and what is happening is the same thing in my eyes. Re8 spoilers (kinda) character talk

these arent REALLY spoilers. they dont give away any story, its mostly just some fleshing out of the characters and some quirky things i noticed about notes and gameplay

ill put it under a read more just incase

Heisenberg is funny as fuck he had me snort laughing at least 5 times in like 2 minutes of screen time.

Karl seems to be the youngest of the lords. Alcina refers to him as a child twice.

He tips his hat as thanks which is just cute af.

Karl also seems to have some anger issues, i believe his powers are tied to his emotions or are at least compounded by them.

He seems to be on good terms with Donna as he refers to her by name whereas he calls sal "moreau"

He doesnt seem to respect titles, he refers to Mother Miranda as just "miranda" right in front of her. he also only calls Ethan, ethan rather than Mr Winters.

the daughters have weight to them despite being files. you can hear their boots on tile as they land and reform. this could be useful for tracking them while you play.

im not sure which girl it is, possibly cassandra, but she seems to suffer from physical ticks. She moves constantly, twitchy hands and shifting facial expressions while standing beside Alcina. i just thought that was intresting.

At the start of the castle section, the daughters are flirtatious and a little sexual towards ethan.Daniela seems to mimic Alcina in her movements, doing twists and making sure ethan is watching. Bela does a little childish wave and cassandra has a deep sniff of ethans blood followed the little tissue wave which again is cute as shit.

Alcina seems to have some alcoholic tendencies. she has wine or some sort of drink in her hand in quite a few of her cutscenes. not to mention her diary entry which explicitly says "i need a drink"

the floor sounds in this game are fuckin sending me. you know that scene in the shining where danny torrence is riding his big trike over different floors? that's what this reminded me of .

i feel like i have to tell people that the girls are invincible until exposed to their weakness. don't bother fighting them. if you need space, a shotgun blast when they solidify will buy you time.

their voices and personalities change when you make them vulnerable . its sort of cool but also sad?

Bela def takes after her mother the most. she uses some of alcinas lines on occasion including the "stupid man thing." line

all of the daughters SEEM to have different ways of moving while in fly mode. their ai is mostly the same but i noticed Bela moves directly while Daniela moves like a jelly fish, sort of in pulses and waves. Couldnt find solid pics of cas moving to see how she goes.

without wanting to spoil, i think one of the puzzles in the castle is actually statues of the lords past or at least how the current lords used to be. (also soft confirmation of alcina being queer coded)

(also also very soft confirmation that karl has a soft spot for donna.)

alcina has BIG mommy issues. and not just because she is a big mommy.

i am 1000% certain George trevor helped design this castle but i cant see any confirmation of that. trust me when you play it yourself, you'll know exactly what i fuckin mean.

the first time you met loki,

he was sitting in a cage. it was cold where they were keeping him, somewhere far too excluded from everything else, someplace that you barely recognized yourself. it was cold, and it was dark everywhere except the glass composure he was trapped in.

this wasn’t really a prison, you knew. it couldn’t have been a prison for him when he was just sitting there, watching you, no movement, no sound.

but still, something about the cage made you want to crawl out of your skin.

or maybe it was him.

maybe it was his eyes, the cruel words he had spoken to everyone else. he wasn’t just a man, he would remind you, he was something other.

you’d first been called in to interrogate him (having a doctorate in psychology was very useful apparently) and try to determine what his next move was. 

though within five seconds of entering the room, you wondered why anyone would think there was any move he could make in the first place. he was completely enclosed, trapped in something that looked like it could hold even the scariest of monsters. 

and well, you werent quite sure if that was him. 

though, you couldnt deny the chill that ran down your spine as his eyes watched you as you walked closer and closer, not letting any fear you might have deter you from the job you were supposed to be doing. figure out what his next move was. simple. 

“hello,” you started, a professional smile on your face. you could’ve sworn he’d flinched. “i’m y/n.” 

the only thing you got in return was a roll of his eyes, clearly fed up with you, probably with the cage, and definitely with the wall he was leaning against. 

your neck ached in sympathy. 

“you must be loki, yes?” trying again, you drew a chair that was sitting next to the cage, probably leftover from the last person that had tried to talk to him, and leaned back, waiting for whatever answer he would give. 

turns out, that didnt take long. 

“prince” he, not quite hissed but announced. his face was not any more pleasant, and it was clear he wasnt joking. 

even still, you had to put in some effort not to giggle. it wasnt as if you’d ever gotten corrected by a ‘prince’ before. or that you’d even been in the vicinity of one. 

allowing only a small twitch at the corner of your lips, you nodded seriously, opening the notebook you’d been holding. “ah yes, prince loki. i’m sorry” 

“why are you here?” he asked, leaning his head against the wall again, and closing his eyes. “another person sent to discover all my secrets? figure out what to do with someone like me?” 

it was silent for a moment, the two of you were completely alone. it was still cold, it was still dark, but this close to the prince, you could observe the slow movements he was making. you could see his face clearly, the dread unhidden from his features. 

you supposed it must be draining, to have people asking you the same things, hoping to find out something new. 

you wonder how long he’d been left alone since he’d arrived in the small prison. how long he’d been watched. 

someone more cheerful, less conceded, might be a relief. 

“well yes, i guess so.” there was no point in lying, especially considering it didnt seem like he was going to cooperate anyway. “but i’m willing to bet that it wouldnt matter even if i tried,” 

he opened his eyes at that, something new on his face. something other than the distaste he already had for you. 

“its usually not safe to make bets with me, as i’m sure my brother already told you.” he spit out the word brother. it didnt surprise you, but you still scribbled something down in the notebook you were holding. you didnt fail to notice the change in topic. 

“i actually havent spoken to him yet, just the agent who called me in. i cant seem to remember their name...” 

loki stood up then, walking around the cage, stretching out. he looked different now, less angry, maybe a bit more tired than when you’d walked in. there was nothing else in the cage. no water, no food, no bed. it would be a struggle to stay sitting for long. 

“you dont work for shield?” the prince asked, now standing in front of you. 

“god, no.” you giggled at the thought, imaging yourself in the all-black uniforms you’d seen on almost every person that had welcomed you in. “i’m just here to... interrogate you.” you made an effort to keep the cheer in your voice, not wanting him to return to the other side of the cage and ignore you for the rest of the time you were locked in here with him. 

it wouldnt make for a very good report. 

“no i suppose not...” he drawled, smirking at you with crueler eyes than before. you recognized the insult but paid no mind to it. he was locked in a glass cage, multiple levels below the ground. he had a right to be a little bitter. “now about that bet,” 

huh. maybe a game would work then. you were almost sure that he’d been purposefully trying to move past that. 

“i think, knowing that you are the god of mischief, that even if i asked questions-- and you answered --that it wouldnt be too far-fetched to say that it would be all lies.” you watched his face change, the tiny twitch of his lips. “a safe bet, i’m assuming.” 

loki sat back down, this time in the middle of the floor with his long legs crossed over each other. he was looking at you completely now, blank face. it wasnt as scary now, and you werent sure if this was the right prison for someone as calm as he seemed. 

“i’ve been told its not good to assume,” he replied, looking down to his lap. 

you nodded along, silent then. 

it was another minute after, both of you thinking completely different things, before anyone spoke. you, of course, were trying to figure out your best course of action. what you could ask to get him to say something that you could report back to the people waiting for you, what he would need to hear to actually reveal something that wasnt already known. 

it was only when you looked up and saw loki scowling once again that you decided it was best to just keep the conversation going. 

“how long have you been here, then?” 

“here, physically? only around a day or two. i cant tell what time it is.” he looked around, nodding to the black walls, the light that was only coming from the floor beneath him. “on earth? ...well, far longer than i intended to be.”

“hmm” 

loki raised a brow. “hmm?” 

you looked down at your lap, undeterred by the demand in his voice. he didnt like to not know. 

“Its just that,” you looked back up at him, offering a smile and using your hands to gesture in the air. “based on what i’ve heard of you... on the news, it seems more like you came to ‘annihilate’ us all. and, well i just figured that would take a bit longer than a couple of days?” 

you kept eye-contact with him. he was far less intimidating when he was sitting like a child. far less intimidating when his eyes werent full of murder. 

he nodded, leaning his chin on his hand, staring. “that sounds like a question.” he muttered, uninterested. he looked a bit bored, mostly tired, but still. 

“oh right,” you leaned back, distancing yourself from him and returning your eyes to the notebook. “sorry”  

loki sighed, kept silent for a moment before he saw that you werent going to say anything else. he had to know. 

“if i tell you something, will you tell me what you’re writing in that thing?” 

your eyes perked up. that was a good offer. 

“i thought it wasnt smart to make deals with the ‘god of mischief’?” you emphasised the title with a wave of your hands, hoping to get him to smile. 

just something to report, you reminded yourself. just stay long enough to get him comfortable. 

“its not,” he smirked, watching you decide. this suddenly felt a bit too much like a dare. 

and, well, you werent something who backed away from a dare. 

“okay, deal.” 

loki didnt reply, only waved a hand as if to say get on with it before yawning. he was definitely paying attention, but his show of boredom was greatly appreciated even still. 

you werent used to being told what to do with gestures, but it was clear that loki was very used to telling other people what to do with just a gesture. it was the prince in him, you supposed. didnt mean you were going to listen. 

“why am i going first?” you asked, arms crossed in front of you now. 

loki laughed, full out. he gestured around him with wide eyes, energy sudenly coming back to him. he looked much more like a prince now, than he did before. “it would seem that i’m at a bit of a disadvantage.” 

you glared at him, unmoving. “how do i know you’ll tell me anything real?” 

lies, you thought. you were very familiar with them, familiar to listening to them and familiar to dealing with them. 

“you have my word,” he promised, sincerely with a hand over his heart. 

it was definitely too much. but still, you grabbed the notebook and flipped it around so that he could see. the look on his face might’ve been just enough to make this entire day worth it. 

it was just scribbles, after all. little doodles to help keep you focused. 

but of course, the god of mischief, prince of asgard, didnt know that. 

he only stared at you, an astounding look in his eyes. and you, only smirked. copying his gesture from earlier. 

get on with it. 

“fine,” he quipped. crossing his arms over his chest. copying you now. it only made you smile wider. “i wasnt born on asgard. i also murdered my biological father.” no remorse on his face with those words, just another yawn. 

well. that wasnt expected. 

“that wasnt the deal,” you said, instead of offering any sympathy you might have. pity you knew he wouldnt want. any disgust that came with the words. he didnt want emotions, and you still needed something to report. 

you suddenly felt angry with him, and you couldnt tell why. 

“darling, i said i would tell you something. not that i would tell you anything useful.” he laid down then, right in the middle of the floor. it was ridiculous. but then you could see him closing his eyes, putting his hand over his face to block out the light. “its not like you gave me anything useful either.” he teased the words out, yawning again. 

maybe you’d misread his mischief, his distaste. 

“when was the last time you got any sleep?” you asked, instead of acknowledging anything he said. 

his face snapped up at that, the pressure in the room rising to the highest level. it seemed that you’d struck a nerve. he had been there far too long. 

“another question,” he hissed, distaste back plain and clear in his eyes, tinting his mouth. he was mad now, angry. it probably wasnt at you, you thought. it was probably at the situation, at his brother, at himself. 

you might’ve known a bit more than you’d led on. 

“when i was a kid,” you started, pleasant smile back on your face. you were in the company of a prince after all. “my mom used to tell me to think ‘happy thoughts’ to fall asleep.” you saw him wince slightly, but you werent finished. “it helped lure me to sleep, and also keep away nightmares.” 

“why are you telling me this?” he demanded, quietly. whatever he didnt like about what you were saying, it was too late to take back. 

“just in case you needed some help. or a reminder to take a nap.” 

and then someone was calling your name, leading you out of the dark room. you looked back at loki once more, another smile. 

you were sure you’d be back soon. 

and loki, well he was watching you walk away. listening to the silence you’d left behind. 

compared to any other person that had attempted to talk to him, to get something out of him. you were the most entertaining. and also slightly annoying. 

but still, he couldnt get those words out of his head. and he couldnt get the weight off his eyes. 

five minutes later, your voice in his ear, he was sound asleep against the glass wall.

12 Anti LO Asks

1. its victim blaming of hades to tell minthe its HER fault she "couldnt get over him". like? you lied to her! youre the one who blurred the lines to date her! you were just as toxic to her if not more so by controlling where she lives and her job, all while never defending her to your cruel family! you had all the power over her while she had nothing! you dumped her for a 19 year old and dont care she crippled minthe! i wont excuse minthe's actions, but hades is ultimately the worse of the two IMO

2. you know why fans claimed "Minthe should've reacted better"? since the first episode Rachel has been drilling into their heads Minthe is an irredeemable monster, and her not bending over backwards to H/P means she deserves the absolute worst. Minthe reacting how anyone logically would doesn't matter when LO is designed to coddle H/P, and anyone against them must suffer for it, even if the victim to H/P's actions. they never wanted her to be "redeemed", they want her head on a silver platter.

3. i know this is not what she intended bc the only characterization rachel has of hxp is "the best over everything" but uh, does she know having hades control all the petroleum and gasses and whatever else is actively destroying the planet, right? like hes helping the very thing persephone draws her power from and what she's connected to be destroyed to appease hes need for wealth and power. its kinda gross hes being romanticized while he commits horrible acts like this for his bank account.

4. its not impossible to go opposite in their original myth personalities and still have it work. like in hades game, sisyphus is one of the most likable characters, achilles is gentle and kind, ares is calm and rational, etc, but it makes sense within the context of the story. LO in comparison goes "all these loving mothers are evil because i said so! this beloved god is now evil because i said so! minthe is evil because i said so!" and that's about it in terms of logic to these wild changes.

5. I can kinda get behind anon's theory about the flower nymphs looking like P to help her be undetected, the problem is there are also unrelated women in comic who are bright pink and look just like her, with hades even confusing them for her! if i had to bet the only reason they look like that is because rachel just wanted daphne to look like her to hammer home apollo is "obsessed" with P and to fake them as her "real family" over demeter. also just laziness in designing characters in general.

6. its weird hades and persephone are well aware what they're doing is bad even openly admitting it and yet the narrative is so hellbent on excusing their bad actions?? like hades being the major toxic factor in his relationship to minthe, persephone killing people, or hades wanting to bone an eternal 19 year old? like rachel you know thats not how character growth works, right? you cant show they have horrible flaws and leave them to never grow and learn from it, that's not good writing at all.

7. what i also dont get is the hierarchy makes no sense? like zeus is framed as the top god, but that would mean hades cant be the most important man ever so rachel also made him equal rank with zeus (and i guess poseidon too) so?? how does zeus have all that power over them then if theyre all equal? is it because zeus swallowed metis?  also how are the fertility goddess so powerful and rare yet so easily taken down? how are they overpowered and super weak at the same time? i just dont get it.

8. Re reading chapter 144 and other anon is right we do see the pomegranate pin on Hades outfit (so Hades gifts it to her)

But also some things to note

During the makeout session persy begins to disappear in butterfly form and hades is like "no don't leave!" And he grabs her, preventing her from leaving. Which is..kinda Ick considering they were on their way to having (public) sex and he doesn't want her to leave which seems like he's not really respecting her boundaries? (because if she does he'll "be lonely")

The pomegranate pin is Hades' to begin with so technically one of Persephones symbols is not hers (yes I know in the original myth she ate it in the underworld / was forced to eat it but still its supposed to be her symbol)

Hades notes that he "doesn't want to overstep his boundaries as host" because Persephone is a guest (too late for that)

Persephones main concern (after what a week or 2?) after being raped is when Hades wants to stop her reaction is "dont you want me anymore?"

Girl you aren't even dating ...??

Persy's literal one and only concern is that she thinks if she doesnt sleep with Hades right then or when/if he wants to that "she wont be able to give him what hes used to" ... Which is reinforcing that she went to therapy to get "over being blocked" in regards to having sex

Although Hades does mention that she shouldn't feel like she needs to please him and that a kiss can just be a kiss which would be nice

(And yet his thinking of marrying her amd he's known her for 2, 3 weeks? ... And he says "the beginning of a new relationship is exciting and scary" so hes basically indicating thay their dating at this point, I think?)

And later the nymphs in the store are like "do you wanna be the dominatrix of the bedroom?? Buy this lingerie!" And persy does. So??

Meanwhile Demeter is very worried for her daughter who is busy sitting in Hades lap in a pool.

10. im not even against rushed relationships, ive known actual couples who met and were married all within the same year and it worked out great, the difference though is these were people who had their own lives and previous relationships. the issue with LO is RS designed it so Persephone can NEVER have relationships or a life outside of Hades, and if they did get married offscreen, it's framing their marriage in a toxic and unbalanced light. That's not a romance, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

11. i feel like there's a difference between drawing an interesting hooked/aquiline nose versus whatever the hell RS puts on Hades' face. It honestly looks like he's in between morphing into a bird half the time since it just looks like a beak over an actual facial feature.

12. are there shareholders or a board of advisors or something at underworld corp? because if there is id say they have more than enough reason to kick hades out and strip him of his titles/shares because of all the shit he's caused by being guided by his broken pp over thinking with his head. liking dating TWO employees? and getting one of them phsyically crippled by the other bc he can't be honest with either of them and she's a walking time bomb? he's a walking HR nightmare.

now when it he attended UA, you were attending middle school still

you acknowledged that bakugou was childhood friends with midoriya

you remembered all the play dates they had and the moments they shared over all might

you would always try to come into their conversations, trying to make friends with midoriya

midoriya wouldnt talk back much but when he tried to, bakugou would tell you to go away

" uhh...what made you think that?" kirishima nervously asked.

you were hiding from the corner away from the hallway where your brother and kirishima stood.

" oi, shitty hair its fucking obvious" he states.

you were happily dating the hardening hero, ejiro kirishima

you both had time for each other on the weekends

movie nights would happen, cuddling sessions and sometimes even cooking sessions too

your hands were always held against his and kissed by him too

you were there for him whenever he had insecurities of his quirk

and he was there for you to lean onto when you had moments of your own insecurities too

but you both balanced each other out

your first kiss with him was shared on your half way mark to your first anniversary of dating

then by the full year mark, you both had kissed so much

you often wore his clothes and shared the things you learned from your online classes

he shared his memories at work with his agency and

it felt like the memories you and him shared when you were in middle school

now bakugou, when he first saw you both together once as a couple

as a couple i said not as " friends "

let's say that he was utterly disgusted when he saw his best friend running over to you, kissing you on the forehead

"DISGUSTING! THATS SO FUCKING GROSS JESUS CHRIST !" he had to walk away from the both of you.

he was happy for you and happy for his best friend

but mostly for you, because

he was your older brother and you were his sister but

he didnt ever want to see you hurt from his best friend

sure he bullied you and was a little brat towards you but only he could make you try or feel hurt

if it was someone else like kirishima, he would be hella disappointed in him but also would feel shitty about himself

he doesn't like admiting he cares for you and wants to protect you

but if he can protect you from a far or tell you something to prevent you from getting hurt

that's all he cared for

because from the day he saw you looking at kirishima, he knew that you had to be with his best fiend than anyone else

besides he was ok with you being next to kirishima in the past

and now hes relieved that someday his best friend will be marrying his baby sister

that's all he could care for

this isnt a fully personal analysis, part of this came straight from the source that is a man involved in this feud himself, but i just wanna say that to everyone thats pissed off that the best friends (/oc vs kip) storyline was so short and seemingly “didnt lead up to anything”

the whole story was about how they are in fact stronger together as friends. that nobody can hold themselves up alone when faced with difficulties and danger, and how they are stronger as a group and how your friends are there to help you when you need them

this proves true to both sides, which i think is what this storyline was really about. while yes, it focused much more about the inner turmoil of the best friends and how they held oc up on a pedestal as he was a champion, this also was very clear in kips crew - strength in numbers, the emotional mind games, how it was all in contrast with cassidy losing his friends little by little while kip out there was gaining more

and in the end, while oc was left all alone in the ring after his title defense, despite being victorious there was only one man in the ring smiling with him - that being kip, his nemesis of the moment, who had managed to break him down, pull him to a dark place, making it seem like his friends had abandoned him. even if they all did something to do to help, but was it more to their own agenda, or to help their friend...?

but oc couldnt have done this without their help either way. the distractions from danhausen. chuck and trent out there in the end to take care of butcher and blade that lead to the ending of the match. even if they werent there in the end (which was just honestly fucking poetic and dramatic for the effect it was worth), they all did something to help. proving that, indeed, they are stronger as friends, as a group, than just single individuals, even if they have their differences, turmoils and arguments

its a story about friendship and beautifully told at that

So i  know i started this pretty late after its release but i never had the energy to pick up the books to read and i couldnt remember everything of the plot so i just got the audio books for all three of the titles and started over. im still so very much attached to these character and it will be a series i remember for my entire life. I didnt get my devneil ship but i got agatha’s surprise ship and then the best thing to happen was shepard and penny, they overshadowed simon and baz and that never usually happens in a book series that i started reading because of the gay characters. Carry On was one of the first LGBTQ+ book i had every read and so it has a special place in my heart.

i was worried i wouldnt like Wayward son, but it got good and then shepard appeared and it was like having a mor sociable newt Scamander in the party and i loved it. I loved the dragon and water spirit so much.

This book was also very good, i got really irritated everytime richards appeared but that just shows he was well written because i cant stand him. i wont lie fiona is kinda my least favorite character but i was always a big supported of her being a relationship with nico and im so glad it happened they even are getting married Pippa was wonderful when she game into play at the end and i was so proud of her when she did full sentence spell. i love this series im glad for rereading them it
