HELLO this was fun to think about

not going to answer for mira, because it would be incredibly generic and mostly full of deflection every time you ask about anything even mildly sensitive (the rose, jaania, etc etc). i will however answer this for fleshweaver alt heroes, archelaos and vana! under a cut because oops it's long

pre-fleshweaver arc:

- you can't talk to them individually lmao both of them hide from people unless forced

- you can knock on archie's house's closed door (somewhere between falconreach and swordhaven). there will be a popup that says "it looks like someone's home, but nobody's answering. they're probably busy!" there are a lot of animals messing around outside, including a big green dragonish thing that's sleeping on the porch. if you hang out too long, she wakes up and looks at you.

- you can't find vana at all. probably you can ask ash about her and he will be like "oh, do you need help? haha.....uh........vana doesn't really enjoy...................is there something I can help you with? vana's pretty busy."

- when you find them together in the inn in falconreach, their dialogue would just be them introducing themselves, archie mentioning that he took vana in as an apprentice in nature magic/animal handling/whatever. archie is pretty warm and friendly, and covers for vana if she says something rude or strange (accidentally or on purpose). not gonna write out the whole thing because it would be Long.

during fleshweaver arc:

- you can find vana next to secundus in the fire paradigm the same way you find secundus in canon. (you can't find archie at all; his door is boarded over and the animals are missing.)

who are you?

- vana samaras. i am the hero of lore. i protect the world at any cost.

what are you doing here?

- i came here to learn from secundus. he is teaching me the art of fleshweaving; he can tell you more about it.

- once i master it, i will be unstoppable. no one, not sepulchure or wargoth or jaania, will be able to stand against me. i will banish anything that dares to plague lore with chaos. there will be no need for heroes. I will put the world in order with my own hands.

who is that boy?

- who?

- oh, you mean piotr? he's learning fleshweaving too, for now.

when you press the "leave" button:

- oh, i'm...sorry, but i can't let you leave.

- there are those who do not approve of the things i am doing. they don't understand. he doesn't understand what pressures i am under, what it takes to be a hero...

- or maybe he does. he turned it down, after all.

- anyway. i can't have you telling anyone where to find me just yet. just know...

post-fleshweaver arc:

- you can find archelaos outside his house. he's got new shoulder/chest armor, and a fancier staff. he looks older, with more white in his hair and more wrinkles, and he seems sadder. (you can't find vana.)

who are you?

- archelaos samaras. mage, gardener, and...hero of lore. can I help you with something?

the animals?

- i used to be a rehabilitator for magical creatures, but with the rose...and...other things, i don't get to take in many animals anymore. watch your step, but don't worry; they're all friendly.

the dragons?

- this lady is Her Majesty! she's actually a drake, but i understand the confusion. she's been with me a long while; she got hurt a long time ago and can't hunt anymore, so i take care of her.

- and this is mavro. yes, he's that mavro. i take care of him now that vana is gone.

what happened to vana?

- ...

- vana is no longer with us. if you need help, i can assist.
