Oh edibles for sure take a while to kick in. It depends on many factors but like at minimum its 20 minutes but in my experience its more like upwards of an hour.

I imagine heaven does have weed but its like mostly smoke form and used in meditative ritual-like environments. Like a spiritual thing. And angel affects is definitly different to demon affects (which would be closer to how it affects humans and he never got high in life).

Then Adam just bursts out laughing out of nowhere.

My favorite part about this is that Adam would 10000% eat a lot of brownies. Like 5 actually. I am not well versed about drugs but I have heard that they take a little more to kick in, don't they? So he'd eat a fucking bunch without feeling it and once it kicks in, he's fucking doomed.

I'm torn because I'm not sure if Adam has done drugs or not before. On one hand it doesn't sound like Heaven would have those, but it's completely possible that man just gets it somewhere. Who knows.
