“ppl only ship sketchbook bc they’re obsessed with lgbt-” WRONG actually I ship sketchbook bc it makes every situation in the show objectively funnier

like listen I’m just saying that if you assume kaisa and johanna have already met at any point in the show before Hilda’s first visit to the library, every single insane thing kaisa enables her doing or gets dragged into with her has 1 of 3 explanations:

1) kaisa is aware that hilda is her girlfriend’s kid and therefore that she has to take a personal interest in her safety, but it makes no difference bc in her view fighting marra & raising the dead is just normal kids stuff. but also halfway through one of their dates johanna mentions the ghost ship that crashed into their house that one time and kaisa’s internally like “ah shit this is because I taught hilda to raise ghosts isn’t it 😬 this is fine”

2) kaisa doesn’t mention any of the goings-on at the library to johanna but only because it hasn’t occurred to her that that’s johanna’s child. like hey, there’s probably a lot of chaotic children with blue hair

3) johanna and kaisa are well on the same page when it comes to Hilda’s adventures, so Hilda’s going about her business thinking she’s being super stealthy meanwhile kaisa and johanna are casually catching eachother up on the kid’s adventures over coffee
