Sometimes it hits me that when comics fans make bird jokes about Robin they are probably thinking American Robin and not European Robin
I’ve know this for a while but it’s gets shoved to the back of my brain bc I see the European one in real life and my brain goes ‘oh a robin!’ and then ‘omg Robin!’ So there a stronger association
Worse is that it’s just hit me why the Red Robin symbol looks like that. It’s edgier than the other one. The symbol gives more falcon vibes but it still does sorta give American Robin
Edit: adding this comparison in from my other post
I finally get the cowl shape and the whole design he looks literally like a robin. I’m so dumb
Also bc of the irl visual association I think I connected the name Red Robin to the name I’ve always know robins by which is Robin Red Breast. So I associate Tim even more with the even more with it bc they’re both robins with red in the name
Which isn’t too bad when you compare these guys:
But is worse when you mostly think of them like this:
A LOT LESS DARK AND DANGEROUS NOW
