every british person holds dearly a memory of the best fish and chips they ever ate. i'm being so serious. they remember the taste, the texture, the near perfect salt & vinegar ratio. but they also remember the time, the place, the mood.

#mine is a fish and chip restaurant back home. my grandparents used to go every tuesday and sometimes they'd take me and my twin #the batter of the fish was insane like i dream about it #but the CHIPS were so good. the amount of salt and vinegar they put on was godly #nothing lives up to it #second best was when i passed over the scottish border forever ago and had fish and chips just because in a small town #that was also perfect #also while im thinking about chippies do you remember when you could get w tray of chips for £1 or less???#tbd
