seas who could sing so deep and strong [162]
The Stalker is nothing to her. The Stalker can come for her as much as he desires, and she will cut him down where he stands without fail, without hesitation, without remorse, and without satisfaction.
He was a soldier who failed to die in service of his masters. This has nothing to do with her. In another life, she might have been one of those masters. In another life, she might have died in front of him. In another life, she could have demanded he die for her.
But that is not this life. And in this life she is a forgotten daughter of a golden house and she cannot be blamed for not dying out with the rest of the gold and jewels. She survived. And that will not be undercut by a purposeless ghost with nothing better to do and no imagination to conjure a new task, other than to latch onto whatever new power fills the void like a worm or leech.
“If there is a sin I am guilty of, it would not be yours to punish,” she says as she drives her sword into the Stalker’s gut in one clean movement, pulling out without any fanfare, “You know nothing. You, who turned your blade against me, if any, is the one who sins.”
For someone who mourns the loss of his masters so much, one would think he would be less discerning in turning his blade against a survivor of that empire.
If there is a sin she is guilty of, it would be her pride and nothing else. Because it was her pride that has gotten her this far, her unwillingness to bend and relinquish the grace and honor that came with the name she was given when she was born into a house of silk and flesh. And why should she be ashamed of that? It is hers. It will always be hers. And there is no-one who can take away her name.
Not the Void, not the ghosts of it. Nor Ballas or Margulis or the Executors and their scientists. They can call her Empress or Saryn or Excalibur or Ember or Nekros or monster or abomination or weapon or whatever they please. But they cannot take away the name she was born with by not saying it.
She knows it. They knew it. They were just too afraid of it.
She pushes the Stalker backwards as he puts a hand to his wound, leaning heavily on his sword as he steadies himself.
In another life she could have been like this one. Meaningless and lost without anchor.
But that is not this life.
In this life she made new meaning and she drove her sword into the world and made her own anchor and defied every power to come and take it from her.
Her sin is pride in her own survival, pride in what she was made of and who made her, pride in every breath that she takes when all the others are dead. Pride in knowing she outlived all the rest. Pride in knowing that for all the things she has lost she is better than they could have ever dreamed and she will continue to be better. She is above this, them. These ghosts. These crumbled halls and shattered mirrors.
Empress readies her sword.
In another life she commands soldiers like the Stalker at her whim. In another life she has no need of blade and gun except as ornaments. In another life her hands are made for music and song and dance and the fluttering of speech. In another life her hands are flecked with gold flakes and bangles.
In this one the Stalker’s blood splatters over her arms and flecks against the white of her Saryn’s body as they collide and she deflects his great sword with a twist before sliding down and cutting straight across his right shin, causing his leg to buckle.
His body is already turning into smoke, preparing to flee as she drives one of her twins words straight up towards his already dissolving throat.
“Come for me, ghost,” she says quietly, knowing he cannot hear her. “I will return you to your grave as many times as it takes for it to hold.”
-
“I wish these things had a long shelf life,” Kore says, cupping one of the maggots in her hands and wiggling its little tummy as it patiently sits, little tail wriggling about. It’s so squishy. And cute. She wonders if she can get the Helminth to grow a few of these and let them roam loose for her.
Well. If they’re from the Helminth they might try and kill her.
Ordis would be extremely displeased. But Ordis is usually displeased with most living things on the Orbiter that aren’t Kore, so it wouldn’t be anything new.
She gently, but quickly, sets it down and it starts to scuttle off before it bursts apart with enough violent force that its flying body parts send a few of its brethren skidding off to the side as they also scuttle away towards new targets.
Kore quickly grabs another one off of the ground and starts to play with that one. They’re so round. Friend shaped. Shaped like friends. And wiggly. They’re also chubby. Like puppies, but littler.
It’s wonderful and she wishes they didn’t die almost immediately. She really would love to just have some.
Kore quickly pops out of transference, taking the maggot into her actual hands. Like this it’s a little bit bigger, and it looks a little surprised and starts wiggling in earnest before calming down when it realizes she’s still herself, just differently shaped.
She holds it up to her face. “You are wonderful.”
Then she quickly sets it down and returns to her warframe as she watches it hurry off and launch itself at an Infested Charger, like a ferocious mite.
Kore sighs wistfully.
“I want one.”
She hears Judge gagging behind her.
“Shut up, insect pours out of your warframe and crawl all over it. You have an ability literally called Scarab armor.”
“It’s not made out of actual scarabs,” Judge protests.
“And these aren’t literal maggots,” Kore replies. “If they were they’d eventually be able to fly.”
“That is the last thing this galaxy needs. Flying…those things.”

My try for a little Warframe fanfiction about Nidus and Oberon^^^
English not my mmothertongue so I’ll excuse for any grammar errors or misspelling :/ I’ll hope you enoy this little thing I pulled out of my head^^’
Somehow it occurred to Oberon that he might been cursed by some evil entity or the Man in the Wall himself, who kept showing up in his Orbiter and creeping the fuck out of him. But how is it to explain that the Stalker shows up, every time he is occupied with healing his squad mates or listening to Ash and Nehza fight over who got the most kills or even when he is leveling up some weapons.
He just hates it when his vision is flickering red and blue, just to hear the whispering voice of the Stalker throwing threats at him, and even not doing a single bit of damage to him, because of Nidus killing the black-grey Warframe with a single shot from his Arca Plasmor. Don’t know how he modded that weapon, but every enemy in front of that thing gets cooked within a split second.
Oberon usually doesn’t complain about that, no he likes it when there are no Enemies fucking his day up or a Nullifier Crewman Squad how decides to show up in a tight row, almost like a Conga line of Nullifier Crewman’s, just waiting to screw their day with their huge bubbles of negating fun. But the one thing that pisses Oberon more of than everything else is that he didn’t get to have a decent fight with the Stalker.
Because everyone in his dojo is parading himself or herself with the sigil of the Stalker. Yeah Oberon got the sigil, but he won’t wear it until he himself defeats the Stalker in a fight.
“Oberon?”, the healing Forest Warframe snaps out of his thoughts and is kicked right back into reality, as the gentle Voice of Nehza reaches his Sensors.
“Y-Yeah?”, he asked, hoping to not have missed any important question or details about some upcoming missions, but his hopes are smashed like Grineer in a Rhino Stomp, when Ash asked him, with crossed arm over his chest: “You didn’t pay attention, did you?”
Nidus, who is leaning against a pillar of the room they were currently in, gurgles and then is pushing his infected body away from the hard material, his gaze is right on Oberon, as he is asking: “So what did occur your thoughts? Was it Nekros?”
Uncomfortable the slender Warframe shifts under the gaze from the infested Warframe and then he shakes his head, then his gaze meets Nidus, and he just blurts out what was on his mind the whole time.
“You always kill the Stalker before I got the chance to fight against him! That is not fair! Everyone in the dojo has fight against him and beat him! Even Titania and Limbo!”
Nidus tilts his head and the two horns who fold out when he has acquired 10 Stacks of Mutation, are shaking a little bit, as he was hurt by those words of the other Warframe.
“I beg your pardon?”, he asks and then Oberon gets pulled in by a Larva, close to Nidus. A little bit too close for his comfort.
“You want a fair fight against the Stalker? Are you nuts? He will kill you in a few seconds! You don’t have the right equipment to take the Stalker head on!”
Confused Oberon looks up to the slightly taller Warframe.
“You…care about me?”
The other Frame lets out a little whine and then takes a step closer to Oberon, raises a hand and lays it onto the left side of the helmet, Oberon can feel the warmth and he immediately wants to get more of the warmth.
“I’m not caring about you Oberon…I love you”, the last sentence is more a faint whisper, but Oberon has heard it.
Nehza tugs on Ash’s Arm and whispers: “I think we should leave the two of them alone and discuss the assassination mission later”
The Ninja themed Warframe just nods and then he leaves, an arm around Nehza’s waist.
Oberon looks straight up into the face of the other Warframe, if he had lips he would have smiled about the statement. So he just blushes and then his arms are thrown around Nidus waist, his helmet is colliding with the neck of the black-neon green Infested Warframe and he laughs, still can’t quite believe what he was told.
“So…you….love me?”, he whispers, unable to speak normal, or else his voice just would crack. His systems are running wild and then it all makes sense. That Nidus is always at his side, that he is throwing himself at the Nullifier Crewman to save Oberon and willingly sacrifices a few stacks in the process, that he is the first and only one of the whole dojo, who got a parasitic link with the other, that Nidus always spawns his little infested garden with the maggots, if Oberon is healing another squad member. It all was to protect him. To protect the one he loves and holds dear. And that shakes Oberon to the core of his being, it touches his soul and leaves his imprint there.
“I didn’t know…you…you where protecting me…the…the whole time you protected me and I was…jelling at you why you’re following me like you’re some sort of little chicken…I’m sorry for hurting you…and pushing you into the Nullifier Polonaise when you’ve got 100 Stacks just because you angered me so much…”, he starts to brabbel and Nidus is shutting his gibberish up with a simple hug.
Oberon’s whole body shudders as he feels how the infestation of Nidus body is crawling all over him, but it feels good, even right. Parasitic Link…
He can feel the other Warframe, how his systems are up and running, the warmth of his own body pressed against the infested flesh of the other, the warm feeling in his chest.
Is that what love feels like?
Nidus voice is sad, as he is starting to speak and a sharp pang of guilt explodes in Oberon’s chest, as he hears those words.
“But I don’t have a chance against Nekros…you and he…are such a good pair and he is the perfect boyfriend for you, and…”
“Shut up”, growls Oberon and Nidus is now confused, he holds Oberon out by the shoulders and asked then: “You…aren’t together?”
“Nekros is head over heels for Harrow so why should he be interested in me? He is like an older brother for me. And Titania is like a sister for me”
Nidus is silent for a while and Oberon didn’t expect him to lift him up and throw him like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder.
“Nidus what are you…?”
“You are coming with me! I’ve got a conversation with the Helminth Virus and I want you to be with me…he won’t believe this! I’ve got a chance! We can be together!”, chirps Nidus and Oberon is a little bit confused, then the pieces are but together and he freezes.
“Wait…you…you talk with the Virus on your ship?”
“Yeah I do. Why shouldn’t I? He is a very chatty fellow that would kill for company. Sometimes I even bring him corpses as food, so that he isn’t so hungry anymore. Even if Ordis isn’t pleased by that, but he’ll get along with the Virus eventually. I do hope so, because I like them both and don’t want to throw either of them from my Orbiter”, tells Nidus him and Oberon thinks about his Cephalon and the Infestation.
“And also I’ve got a lot of things to do! I want to court you, cherish you and hold you close to me…”, Nidus is totally lost in his thoughts and Oberon is more than willing to let the other Warframe talk. It is kind of cute how he gets lost in his speech.
A little chuckle escapes from Nekros as he sees how Nidus is carrying Oberon to the black-green Orbiter and Limbo sounds pleased, as he says: “Finally those have sorted their feelings out…they make such a good couple”
Nekros gaze shifts to Limbo and the Rift Warframe raises his hands in a defeating gesture then he tips his cylinder shaped hat and says: “That leaves us with just you and Harrow…”
“Don’t even think of it”, growls the Necromancer and the small chuckle escaping Limbo tells him enough. He is kind of afraid from the next mission they’ll do together with Harrow and Equinox. Because Limbos plans always involving trapping two Warframes so long into his rift, until they confessed their feelings for one another. That’s how Ash and Nehza ended up together. That both would make out in the Rift wasn’t in the plan and so everyone who was watching got a very good view of Ash pounding hard into Nehza, when Limbo pulled them both out of the Rift. Wich was just Nekros and Limbo at that time, but it was enough for Nekros to leave him with one burning question….
Why did Nehzas cock dripped fire?

seas who could sing so deep and strong [70]
It isn’t until Judge has returned to his ship - it feels like hours later. Every awakened Tenno in within signal distance must have come following the hoard of Sentient waves converging on Earth. Kore had disappeared in the commotion of Judge explaining and transmitting them data from his Orbiter’s observation systems. He knows that within mere cycles every Tenno, awakened or not, will know.
The Lotus has left them. The Lotus saved the infamous Ballas, murderer of Margulis.
It isn’t until Judge has returned to his ship, adrenaline leaving him, heart rate starting to really pick up with the truth of what he just saw, what he just did, what he just heard settling into him, that he realizes something.
As poetic as it would have been for Kore to turn up with her Saryn at that very moment -
It wasn’t Saryn that stood behind Kore.
It was Umbra.
Judge turns to his new warframe, mind racing -
How?
He had the Lotus’ helmet, and that was the source of the signal that caused him to search Umbra out but how did Kore also get -
“Scylla, lock coordinates for Kore’s ship and get me through,” Judge commands, already heading down to the lower areas of the Orbiter to the docking station where their ships will connect. Umbra follows him silently, a strange current in the back of Judge’s head.
It’s different from his other frames. Do the others have any memories? They’ve never shown anything - not like Umbra. And sure they move but not with - not like this. Like toys, maybe. Like specters - or extremely simplistic AI. But not like Umbra.
There are so many questions, so many theories - so many things that are filling Judge’s head but right now, first and foremost is the question of why Kore also had Umbra.
Kore’s ship is silent as he strides through, searching Kore’s signature out.
Her sleeping quarters.
Her Helminth Charger - Void, how can Judge even think about Helminth now? What is he supposed to think? No wonder the thing hates Tenno so much. - stretches out in the middle of the floor and looks up at him with her head tilted.
He steps around her and the doors to Kore’s quarters hiss open.
The sound of her aquariums is heavy in his ears and through the first thick segment of water and glass and fish and stone he sees Kore at the large windows, and next to her a figure in black.
Judge quickly walks around the aquariums, pausing with her name on his lips, as he watches Umbra’s hands carefully arrange black fabric around Kore’s neck.
Kore’s bright eyes catch the light and then catch his.
“Judge,” She says.
Umbra's hands fall and the waframe steps aside.
Judge can feel his own Umbra at his back.
Both waiting.
“How,” Judge starts, but can’t finish. “Why?” He says instead.
You said you would wait.
Kore’s eyes look into his, and for a moment - with the black fabric pulled up over the bottom half of her face, and her bright eyes - she is once again Untouchable but then she slowly sits down on the platform and folds her hands together in her lap.
Her Umbra kneels next to her, hand on the back of her neck.
Judge walks to her, kneeling in front of her and holds out his hand. Kore touches her fingertips - she’s still in her armor, gloves and all - to the center of his palm - and so is he - and she traces the sign for the Lotus into his glove.
“I wanted to talk with you,” Kore says. “Or at least - I wanted to hear you talk. I just didn’t want to be here.” Alone. “And I felt this thing coming from your room. Scylla said you were away and I thought I’d just wait but I felt something. There was this - this beacon? This pulse? And when I got to your room I felt it rush into me. Anguish. Pain. And I thought - I thought it was a perfect distraction. Sort of.”
“And then you saw Ballas,” Judge says.
Kore nods, “And then I saw Ballas. And I didn’t - I didn’t want to drag you into this any further. Ballas is my fault. I’m the one who brought him here. I wanted to fix it. I wanted it to be over.”
Kore laughs, suddenly, sharp and angry, “It’s been literally over a thousand years, and it still isn’t over. Can you believe that, Judge? We’ve been alive for over a thousand years and and we’ve been through so many wars and it still isn’t over.”
“You rushed in,” Judge says, gently.
Kore’s eyes close in agreement.
“I wanted it to be over,” She repeats. “So I started Umbra and I chased Umbra and I used transference on Umbra. And then Ordis sent me your coordinates, right in the center of a Sentient storm.”
Kore turns her head slightly, eyes opening as she looks at the warframe next to her before slowly pulling the scarf off.
Her hood has been removed from her suit and Judge sees the bruises around her neck.
“I was going to leave Umbra behind,” Kore says, “There was no time, and Umbra was still fighting. But at the last moment - the final memory.”
“Isaah,” Judge says and feels the almost sting of the name from his Umbra’s mind. But not overwhelming, not consuming, not like before.
We accept this memory, and move beyond its reach.
“I needed to find you,” Kore says, turning back to Judge, “I thought - I thought you were - “
“I’m not.”
“And he was there.” Kore’s lips press together and her fingers curl into still held out hand and she bows her head forward, eyes screwing shut. “And so was she.”
“We still don’t know the full story,” Judge says. “It might not be what it looks like.”
Kore breathes in softly through her mouth, shaking her head.
“Kore,” Judge says, slowly closing his fingers around hers, “Kore.”
Kore exhales and looks up at him through her bangs, “Judge, I am a weapon. And from the eyes of a weapon, this looks like a new war. Does it look the same to you?”

@karuframe This one is for you <3 Thanks for helping me with my writers block :3
So I Gave a Nidus x Oberon Fanfic another try^^ turned out pretty good in my opinion^^
Sometimes Nidus ask himself if he is even sane. Like now at the moment, when he is sitting in the infested chair and is listening to the helminth virus, complaining about the Nullifier Crewman.
“And don’t let me get started about that drone from that fun killing Corpus! I mean, you walk into it, and it kills of half of your stacks!”
“Yeah, it is frustrating…”, Nidus thoughts are elsewhere and he isn’t really paying attention to the complaints from the Helminth Virus.
“Master?! Are you even listening?”, Nidus jolts as the Helminth Virus is practically screaming at him and then he tells the truth.
“N-No…I was…thinking about Oberon…”
“I was talking to you! How even is that Oberon?”
Nidus sighs and leans back in the Chair, then takes one of the Claws and pierces his neck with it, the Helminth Virus infiltrates his body and mind and then he shows him his memories of Oberon, how they first met and how Oberon saved his life, by using his healing ability and the hallowing ground, to remove the poison from his skin, that was destroying his whole body.
Since then Nidus had sworn to himself to protect Oberon from any harm, which lead to Oberon feeling as Nidus was having fun stealing him the kills. That this wasn’t the case, both figured out a few weeks ago.
Since then they were a couple and Nidus never felt happier.
He tugs the claw of the Helminth out of his neck, when he was done sharing the memories of Oberon with the Hive Mind, which was in charge of the biological systems of the orbiter. Even if Ordis was complaining about him and they both don’t get along that good.
“Sorry for the sting, Master”, the Helminth Virus apologies, and Nidus laughs, then shakes his head and says: “It’s okay Helminth. I was the one who did it, so you don’t have to apologies”
“Nidus? Are you there?”, the Voice of Oberon echoes through his orbiter and Nidus flinches, springs out of the chair, as he remembers, that he and Oberon where signed up to assassinate Tyl Regor.
“I’m down here! Left Door!”, he screams and hastily collets his weapons, which he scattered across the floor in order to sit properly on the infested chair.
The Door opens, as he steps to it and reveals a bleeding Oberon, who crosses his arms before his chest, an angry kind of aura is surrounding him and Nidus swallows, then says: “Sorry! I totally forgot that we had a mission together!”
“Never mind, Nekros and Harrow helped me out, since you didn’t showed up even after I waited for you for 6 hours!”
Oberon had all right in the world to be mad at him, Nidus won’t even defend himself, if the other would attack or strangle him, he deserved it after all he had completely forgotten about it and got lost in the chatter with the Helminth Virus, which now growls behind him: “He is hurt and can barely stand”
“Oberon…you don’t look so good…are you alright…?”, he then askes the Fairy Kind, who throws his arms in the air and yells: “No I’M NOT FINE, THANK YOU FOR ASKING ME!”
“Why don’t you heal yourself?”, asks Nidus and Oberon looks at him, then he punches him hard and Nidus stumbles, then falls right into a patch of the Helminth.
“I.CAN’T.HEAL.IT! So I thought that maybe you can help me and then I’ve asked literally everyone where you where…then I heard from…EMBER….that you were at Lua and that your Orbiter was just floating in space!”, he screams at Nidus, then his whole body trembles and he falls, unconscious, to the floor.
Nidus stretches out a hand and a tentacle of the larva he spawned, is catching Oberon, right before the white-green frame can fall onto the ground.
“Helminth…can you lend me a hand in this?”, he asks then the Hive-Mind.
“Sure, Master”, replies the Infestation with an growl and Nidus nods, then he stands up and walks to the unconscious Healing Frame, lifts him up and the tentacle around his waist disappears, the whole larva disappears with a growling sound. Left and right from the chair are two stairways, which lead deeper into the room, onto a glass floor. Through the glass Nidus spots a few fishes, that swim there in the water and he asks himself why there are fishes in the Room of the Virus.
At the north end of the room is a tube, covered in infested biomass, which he brushes aside and then the tube opens up, he lays the Warframe inside and the glass slowly closes.
Green light appears on the glass and Nidus takes a look at the different numbers and others things that are displayed on the surface of the tube.
He searches for the button and when he finds it, he is glad, that Vauban once teached him how to use the tube in his Infirmary. The tube activates and the Helminth growls deep, tendrils are reaching out for the tube and pass right through the top and bottom of the tube, were a few access points for the virus where. The tendrils are wrapping itself around Oberon and then they are glowing red, energy flows through them and for one second they look like blood vessels.
A few minutes passes, then the tendrils are retracting and the wound on Oberons hip is closed and it looks like there was never a wound in the beginning.
Like this Nidus was also repaired, after he tore his shoulder open, when he was saving his operator from certain death through the stalker.
He then grabs the Fairy king and lifts him up, the head of Oberon rests on his chest and one arm is around the back, with the other he holds the knees.
“I hopes he is alright”, the Virus growls.
“I’ll tell you when he wakes up. And thanks for the help”, answers the Infested Frame, then he leaves the Infirmary and walks to the door on the opposite side of the orbiter, there he places his boyfriend on the sofa and sits right in front of him, the gaze fixed upon him.
A few minutes later the Warframe on the sofa wakes up and he slowly sits up, then looks to Nidus, who stands up.
“Are you alright?”, he asks and Oberon shivers, then looks down at his hip, where the wound was, who is now gone.
“How did you…healed me?”, he looks up at Nidus, who walks to him and sits right next to him, puts an arm around his shoulder.
“I put you into the tube from the infirmary and the Helminth healed the wound, like he did with me, when I ripped open my shoulder with the part of the War”, he tells him and Oberon sighs, then leans against the infested frame.
“Thank you…”, he murmurs and Nidus presses his helmet against that of Oberon.
“I love you, so why shouldn’t I help you?”, he then asked in a soft voice and Oberon lets out a little laughter, then flings himself at Nidus, both frames are falling on the furniture, Oberon on top of Nidus.
“So…what caused the wound?”, he asked, and Oberon tilts the head in a shy way, then he says: “I….I didn’t pay attention and…a Grineer Maniac jumps at me and digs his claws into my hip…Nekros saved me from certain death”
Nidus chuckles and lays a hand at the cheek, strokes it softly.
“Funny how a Necromant is saving you from death. But I think Nekros owes me one. If I would be there with you then I could have done something…I could have healed you and…you weren’t forced to fly all the way out here to visit me and…scream at me for my dumb behavior. And… I’m really sorry for letting you down, I should have remembered it earlier…”
Oberon sighs and then lays down on top of Nidus, his helmet digs into the soft side of his neck, his hands and arms are pushing under his back, and then he hugs the other frame.
“It’s okay my dear. I know how talk active the Helminth is, the one at my Orbiter is growling all the time”, he tells his boyfriend and Nidus laughs, then lays his arms around Oberon and whispers too him: “How about I repay you for forgetting our mission?”
Oberon tils his head in a curious manner and then asks, in a playful unguilty tone: “And how do you want to repay me?”
Nidus chuckles and then turns both of them around, sits now on top of Oberon.
“Hmmm…I think you know how do I want to repay you~”, he taunts the other. Oberon lets out a small growl and then Nidus grunts his hip against Oberons crotch. This earns him a low moan from the other.
“Is this giving you an idea about what I’m talking?”
Oberon laughs and he says: “Oh yeah, and I like it~”
