Man I just finished reading dungeon meshi and man, what a good story, perfect execution, perfect ending, perfect balance of interesting captivating story and silly goofy moments. There were also moments where you truly didn't know if the main characters would survive, which just pulls you even deeper and keeps you at the edge of your seat even more. Like every chapter kept me so on edge, what a rush, it was so skillfully done too. There were a few days where I was up till 3am reading it since I couldn't put it down and I haven't felt this way in such a long time!!

I really love how the story is just about connection, bonding while eating communally, understanding different types of species both humanoid and monsters, helping out those in need even if you gain nothing from it, valuing life AND death
