do you think the ex will be coming back? i’m starting to think they won’t at this point but who knows since bls love to throw in the ex storyline at last minute (well this isn’t your stereotypical/cliche kind of bl however they have been tackling many bl tropes head on and spinning them/doing a commentary on them so they might do it with the ex too). i fear for ray’s reaction if the ex comes back but i also fear for sand’s. i don’t believe sand would be swayed if he and ray decided to go all in but there’s clearly still a lot of hurt and bitterness there towards his ex so he clearly still cares and if for example the ex is good at manipulating …who knows what could happen.

i’m also curious as to when sand’s sex scene with someone not in the main cast is coming. where will sand and ray’s relationship be? will it be a flashback (doubt it at this point unless they decide to really give us ex backstory)? are sand and ray are in a bad place again possibly after the apartment fight and he wants to not feel lonely or get his mind off ray (would once again be scared for when/if ray finds out) so he gets a one night stand or even worse it’s with the ex? i’m so curious about it simply because of the positive way the sandray relationship seems to be going next ep (that we know won’t last but still).

I keep expecting the ex to show up, but he never does, and at this point we're getting pretty close to the end. If Ray's alcoholism/mental health issues occupy as much of the plot as I think they're going to, then that doesn't leave much room for an ex storyline. To your point about the series subverting common tropes--if the ex comes in, I don't think the series will follow a typical "ex comes to stir up drama and jealousy" arc. Up to now, the whole reason the "Sand ex" thing has come up at all is because it's contextualized Sand's feelings about Top and given him motivation to tell Ray about the sex tape. So it's hardly related to Sand and Ray's storyline at all (yet).

From a SandRay storyline perspective, I don't know if we need to see Ray be jealous of Sand's ex to move their plot forward...we can already infer how Ray would react to that. Plus, we saw it on a smaller scale with the Freddie Mercury guy in Ep8. It could give Ray more clarity about his feelings for Sand I suppose, but tbh I think Ray isn't too far away from admitting how he truly feels with or without an ex plotline to rile him up.

Sand's sex scene with someone else is something I cannot reconcile with the plot at this point. I feel like it would almost have to be a flashback, or he and Ray have a huge fight that leads him to cut off Ray permanently (or what he thinks is permanently) leading him to distract himself with someone else. Idk why, but I don't get the feeling that Sand would hookup with someone right after an argument as a way of getting back at Ray? Though I suppose it depends on just how nasty the argument they have is. If Sand thinks they can still come back from it, I don't think he'd go after anyone else.

But a flashback at this stage of the plot? For an ex that can't take up too much of the storyline? Idk. I've seen some people speculate that the love scene Jojo hinted at next episode with the blurry-ass photo is Sand and Nick, which...:/ I can't pick apart the pixels and peer through all the blurriness, but I am 99.999% sure it's Sand and Ray. Hopefully I don't jinx it by saying that.

So all in all, I am very confused about the ex's involvement in the plot. The preview doesn't indicate that they will appear next episode either. So where does that leave them? I'm on the edge of my seat.

Another anon here, I don't think their exes either! The theory that I think is most likely is that top slept with sand's bf/gf but also I'm not too sure about that? I feel like if that's the case sand would be much more hostile towards top?

I'm starting to think so too. San is definitely being hostile towards Top, we just haven't seen a lot of it yet because they haven't really interacted. And so far it doesn't seem mutual so it looks like Top did something that upset San. His playing with fire comment, along with Top telling him to take better care of his belongings etc. idk all that seems to be pointing into said direction.

Also let's not forget about the hookup with the unknown person First was talking about lol so I feel like that might also be connected? maybe San and Top used to be friends, San had a lover and Top being Top carelessly hooked up with them. I have no trouble believing that lmao.

OF Episode 8 Thoughts

I’m sorry but I cannot deal with Ray. I cannot. I CAN’T DEAL WITH HIM. I could complain about every single thing Ray did this episode but that would take a whole post and it would mostly be me just repeating myself.

Love seeing sad heartbroken Boston drinking alone at the bar while looking at the one picture he and Nick had together. 💖

Boston x Atom is the hookup I would not have predicted a day ago and yet here we are. I support you chasing tail, Atom, but also I wish you knew what you were getting into doing that right in front of Nick’s face and I hope you don’t get murdered.

Also it was HILARIOUS watching Nick try to have a normal conversation with Boston as if he didn’t grossly violate Boston’s privacy on multiple occasions. I love that little guy.

I’m so glad Sand went to the party to be a wingman to his roommate’s stalker situation instead of just “I think I would have a good time at this party” that everyone was afraid about from last week’s preview

I ship Sand x Sand’s Freddie Mercury bi soulmate more than SandRay at this point tho. Like they could have had something but RAY. And you know when the guy is immediately like “I’m not getting involved in this,” that he would have been solid. He would not have messed around. TALK ABOUT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY

I feel bad that Sand keeps trying to set boundaries and create distance between him and Ray and Ray keeps stomping all over those boundaries. Like Sand is trying, I can see that he’s trying, but it’s not enough. I may rant more about this later.

I really liked the scene of Mew at the bookshop, and I liked how his shirt felt like inverse colors of what he’d worn at the shop with Top. I may make a separate post for this if someone else hasn’t already done it.

It hurts seeing Mew revenge era turn into Mew self destruction era, but I guess that’s where revenge gets you 😔

I really enjoyed seeing Cheum snap, and I am SO interested in what she said about her and Boston being third wheels to Ray and Mew. We’ve seen them being less than mediocre friends to Ray, and the easy assumption there is that they’re tired of being babysitters. But has Ray’s crush on Mew been the only reason he’s hung around the group for all these years? Have Boston and Cheum spent years feeling like they didn’t really matter to him? I love this thread and I hope we get more of it.

I also really feel for Cheum being upset about her friend group falling to pieces. Like yes, it’s a shitty and imperfect group, but sometimes that’s all you have, and losing it can suck.

I love to go camping. That's what I do in the summer but Jack is...Less than excited to go. I just drag him along regardless. One of Jack's favorite summer time activities (though this isn't an activity) is the little family get together he has with his two ex-wives and Angel. They have this thing every summer even though she's older now and not a little kid. To Jack Angel will always be his little girl though

🔥 - what do you guys do to beat the heat?

Jack doesn't. He cannot stand the heat. We have the ac blasting, and a fan or two going and he still complains he is gonna die. If it's really bad, we pack for a week and go to the summer house. There's a pool there and it's by the ocean so it's a few degrees cooler until you go in town/down town. Jack also will take cold showers but I can't do that. Once when I was really hot and felt like a dried up worm he tried to get me to join him in one. I stepped in and immediately squeaked and got back out. I just can't do them 😔

🏝️ - do you like to go on vacations or would you rather stay at home?

Oh we absolutely go on vacation. Multiple during the summer. You think he wants to stay at his house? No way.

I usually go for tanktops and funky shorts! Think like, a dad who's a tourist but he's not wearing cargo shorts and instead wearing shorts that are like bright and colorful with a little flamingo pattern. That's how I dress

Jack rarely wears tanktops. He has some thin teeshirts for summer and he absolutely owns a pair of like, khaki shorts. In the summer though he absolutely rocks some shades.

👙 - do you like to go swimming? what kind of swimsuits do you have?

I do!! I just wear swim trunks and that's all! I like to cannonball in Jack's pool and he always yells at me 'cause I splash him. He's like an old man.

Jack owns a Speedo but he doesn't really wear it. Despite what my other friend says, Jack usually just wears some plain swim trunks or something. He's never usually swimming though. He's just on one of those pool floats soaking up the sun

It's still looking for shells and such. Jack doesn't want to usually and he just stands on the sand complaining. Honestly, for someone who owns a whole house by the ocean/beach he sure as hell doesn't seem to enjoy it that much.

I like Jack's pool because it's connected to the house and not public (obviously). Jack likes his pool as well, and says the beach gets too loud in the thick of tourist season.

The first time I got Jack to go camping he only went because I cracked and said we could get an rv. He wasn't giving up sleeping on his bed. I was gonna bring a tent for myself but he convinced me to sleep on the bed with him. Jack wanted to get some huge rv but I said no. We have a nice one for a couple. It has an extra little pull out bed from the couch, and a stove. Jack did get the one with the biggest bed for us he could. Our campsite had full hookups for the rv and I was like "My camping trip :(". We did a lot of hiking and daydrives though!! We stopped at a very pretty scenic overlook place and Jack finally mumbled something about how he gets why I like camping so much

Kassandra Sutton was born the eldest of Laura Sutton and Henry Edwards. As a child, her favorite bedtime story had been hearing about how they had met, a chance run-in while both in Washington DC – her mother a legacy spy, and her father a simple accountant from England.  It had been a quick and steadfast love, and within a year of meeting they were married. Not long after the couple moved to Virginia Beach, where Kass and eventually her baby sister Valeria Sutton were born. Most spies keep their career a secret from their family, but Henry had been clued into the family from the start, and the two raised their daughters with the same privy information.  Knowing this had always made Kass feel like there were no secrets in their family, and that she could tell her parents everything, a trait that never seemed to leave her.

She was eight years old when her father was killed in a car crash, and it changed everything. Having done a lot of traveling throughout their early childhood, Laura now needed a job stable enough to raise her two daughters alone. So when her alma mater Gallagher Academy offers her the President position during one of the roughest times for the university, it’s hard to turn it down.  The Sutton family are given a small apartment in the mansion tucked away from where the students live, and the three of them slowly make it their home and new normal.

Despite permanently being under the same roof as their mother, Laura Sutton had come into the position with a lot of issues to fix, and she used this opportunity to dive into her work.  So Kass picked up the slack, packing lunches for her and Val and helping her sister with her homework every evening, trying to shoulder the weight for her mother as much as possible.  It caused her to grow up a little quicker than others, but she doesn’t hold any resentment towards her mother for it, because she knows Laura did all she could.  Besides, it made her bond with her sister closer than ever, and to this day Val will always be the most important person in her life. If there’s one place she knows like the back of her hand, it’s Gallagher Academy.

One of the hardest things she ever had to do was leave home ( or more specifically, her sister )   to go off to boarding school in Wyoming, practically halfway across the country.  But whereas she spent her childhood going to school with normal students and excelling leaps and bounds ahead of them, Kass enjoyed being able to be around like-minded individuals with families more similar to her own. It’s there that she grew into herself, developing her affinity for computers and figuring out who she was outside of Val’s older sister.  It’s also when she came out as bisexual, and had her first taste of a relationship with one of her best friends.

It was a strange transition to go from being just another student in prep school to the eldest daughter of President Laura Sutton when she arrived back at Gallagher, this time as a student.  Unlike in prep school, there were a lot of students who wanted to befriend her, and Kass had a hard time trying to decipher who wanted to be her friend because of her mother’s legacy, or for her. So she worked hard to make a reputation for herself, using her knowledge of Gallagher to make others feel more welcome and at home, while making an effort never to refer to her mother as President or bringing her job into the conversation.  Everyone already knows who she is;  they don’t need Kass to remind them.

gallagher academy, third year.

The merging of Gallagher Academy and Blackthorne Institute Kass’ third year had been an unprecedented one, but unlike other Gallagher students, she had no qualms with inviting boys to the school. It was nice to see some of her old prep school friends and family friends under the same roof as her.  Learning that Blackthorne had been a school for assassins was surprising, but she didn’t think ill of those who had gone there. After all, it’s not like she had been blind to the possibility of others ending up in that field.

Spring semester was rough for Kass;  her two best friends had started seeing two boys, leaving her to feel lonely and forgotten. It didn’t help that her feelings for one of her best friends had returned, and the pressure of others constantly coming to her for advice or their problems had begun to weigh on her. The Valentine’s Day dance turned three-day lockdown only made matters worse, especially after finding out one of the two students who had been murdered was Amelia Taylor, Kass’ ex-girlfriend.

Not like after having a falling out with one of her best friends, an anonymous email is sent around campus, outing students’ parents as previous members of the Brotherhood, an organization behind the death of Amelia and the witness protection student. Imagine her surprise when her father’s name – the normal, civilian accountant – had been on that list.  Unable to cope with the betrayal she feels, Kass pushes away her friends and family, and goes off on a rebellious streak, uncharacteristically getting drunk and having a few messy hookups.

It takes Val calling her out on her shit for her to come back to reality, and Kass finally confronts her mother.  It’s only then that Laura Sutton tells her the truth:  her father had been a Blackthorne alum and Brotherhood member before working as a double agent to help take down the organization, and it was his part in the operation that had gotten him killed. After the news settled, Kass was able to repair the relationships she may have strained, and the imprisonment of Amelia’s killer and the Brotherhood being defeated had her feeling more like her old self.  She’s ready for her fourth and finally year at Gallagher in the fall, and to see what the future holds.

personality.

Kass is a total nerd, spending most of her time behind her laptop screen working on hacking jobs or researching whatever her current interest is.  Her IQ isn’t abnormally high and she doesn’t have a photographic memory, but she’s quick to be able to pick things up, especially anything binary related. She is also full of useless information that she’s garnered through her many, many nights lost on Wikipedia or Reddit at three in the morning.  She’s curious to a fault, often sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong – and being able to break through firewalls and access her mother’s records certainly doesn’t hurt.

Despite being a complete dork, she is extremely personable and has the ability to make friends with just about anyone. Those who welcome her into their life have a fiercely loyal friend on their side that will always drop everything at first call. Kass is optimistic and often quick to trust people, but isn’t as naive as she appears, especially after learning the truth about her father.

She’s also a total romantic, in love with the idea of love, and loves nothing more than to assist other people in their love lives. However, when it comes to her own love life, Kass is notorious for ignoring red flags and going for the first person.  Her relationship with Amelia ended in heartbreak after not being on the same page and thinking it was more than it was, so since then she’s learned to protect her heart a little better.

Just call her a golden retriever, because she will lick just about anyone’s face and be their best friend at first meeting.

more information / headcanons:

Kass is a pretty experienced traveler, used to flying from a young age when they would visit her dad’s family in England at least once a year.  Once Val went off to prep school and the three Suttons were separated more often than not, they would plan big summer trips during Laura’s time off, visiting places like Italy, France, and Hawaii. Venice is one of her favorite destinations  ( it just seemed SO romantic ) .

Her favorite place in the world is Washington DC. The fascination started at a young age when she would daydream about her parents meeting there, but since getting older she’s grown to love all the museums and monuments and make her own memories. Her plans post-grad are to move to DC and get a cyber security job at an agency.  

She still has her childhood bedroom in her mother’s apartment, that she does visit at least once a week, mostly because her ball python named Siri lives there. She tried having Siri in her dorm her first year at Gallagher, but one of her roommates wasn’t too keen on living with a snake, so now she keeps her at her mother’s.

One of her most prized possessions is her rock collection, a mixture of different minerals and rocks, as well as rocks and sand from places she’s traveled.

She’s really big into birthdays, and all her friends of hers receive a freshly baked birthday cake from her.  They’re not made from scratch – despite enjoying baking, Kass is particularly great at it – but it’s the thought that counts !

Kass has an appetite like Jughead Jones and a diet like a Gilmore girl.

An easy way to her heart is through flowers; sunflowers are her favorites.

TL;DR:  Kass is the eldest daughter of President Laura Sutton and has lived at Gallagher Academy since she was eight years old, so she knows the place like the back of her hand.  She basically raised her younger sister Val and is an extraverted computer nerd with a thirst for knowledge ( or more accurately, useless facts ) and an optimistic approach on life, though it’s not without hardship.

BACKSTORY:

Born in Oahu, Hawaii as the second child of a marine biologist named Jiro and a spa owner named Cynthia. Siblings are his brother Callum (23) and sister Jocelyn (20).

From a young age, his father instilled an interest for marine life in he and his siblings by taking them to tide pools and teaching them about the creatures that resided there. As the children aged, the boys found themselves venturing deeper into the water, taking up surfing lessons.

What started as a fun hobby that the brothers could bond over turned into a full blown sibling rivalry, one that Joel never seemed to have the upper hand on.

By all accounts, Joel was a talented surfer but never talented enough to place in any competitions. He’d laugh it off or offer a convincing “I’ll beat your ass next time” to his brother but years of taunting and poking and prodding at his inadequacy wore on him. Eventually he just stopped trying to be good at anything?

Easily distracted and disinterested in anything he wasn’t close to obsessed with, school never came easy to him. So, he just kinda stopped trying as much over the years, barely skating by with Cs. He and his friends would skip class, smoke weed, spray paint dicks on the cars of people they didn’t like, and just continually dare each other to do stupid shit.

Somewhere in the middle of all of this, Joel found something he was good at: entertaining. He had an impeccable ability to make his friends laugh by being a loose cannon who was down for absolutely anything. And admittedly, he liked the validation, so he just never said no no matter how ridiculous or illegal the suggestion was. He still carries this habit to this day. Peer pressure? A lifelong friend of Joel’s.

Life goes by fast when you’re not prepared for literally anything, and before Joel knew it, he’d graduated high school and had to make college plans. So, he applied to the out-of-state college one of his cousins was attending: Beaumont.

And he’s been a menace to the campus ever since. :)

Eden was certainly born in the outer banks, and lived there all her life. Raised, however, that’s an entirely different story, a term used very loosely in the small Finnigan bungalow nestled in the cut. Her father ditched before Eden was born and she only remembers fleeting moments with her mother. It was her brother, Noah, who practically raised her; the only person she could ever really count on. 

Her childhood may have been difficult and certainly unconventional to say the least, but it wasn’t a total bust. Eden found ways to adapt and entertain herself, falling in love with the beach, the sand between her toes and the salty air in her tangles. She loved to splash around in the tide pools collecting shells and learning about all the small organisms she could get her little fingers on. It was the only thing that kept her busy while her parents were nowhere to be found and big brother was off teaching tourists how to surf. 

SCHOOL/TEENAGE YEARS-;- 

Academics came easily to Eden. She was a naturally curious student and read anything and everything she could get her hands on. Much to her surprise, she made friends easily, her curious and oftentimes blunt demeanor somehow managing to charm her classmates. It also helped that Noah was her big brother. She took it in stride and wore her association as Noah’s little sister as a badge of honor, even earning the nickname “Little Finn.”

As Eden entered her teen years, she began to realize that her natural abilities came with tremendous pressure, everyone always seeming to remind her of her potential and that if she played her cards right she could get out of this town and achieve great things. The pressure surmounted, and Eden couldn’t shake the feeling that no matter what she was bound to be stuck in the OBX forever destined to repeat her mother’s mistakes.

It was only a matter of time before the youngest Finnigan began her rebellious phase, out to prove that she was no longer a little girl. New attitude, new style, new curfew, new string of lovers, oftentimes disappearing to stretches of time (like mother, like daughter). But somewhere beneath her bold lipstick and short denim skirts lies the curious little girl who wore starfish for earrings and splashed around in tide pools. She is a hopeless romantic at heart who wants the fairytale and craves to quench her growing hunger for knowledge. 

COLLEGE/PRESENT-;-

After graduation, Eden took a year off to find herself and save up some money before getting her act together and applying to college. She managed to get into the local community college while balancing her job as a beach attendant with the hopes of someday becoming a marine biologist. After a year of study, she has decided to put her education on hold again, unable to keep up with the cost of school even with the help of financial aid. She hasn’t mentioned this decision to anyone yet, especially not to Noah.

When the opportunity to join a reality TV show presented itself, Eden couldn’t pass it up. If she won the money, she may be able to continue her education and realize her dreams of becoming a marine biologist. Besides, anything was better than checking badges and managing rentals for kooks and tourists at the beach all summer long.

Eden doesn’t get directly involved in the pogues vs kooks drama, but she can’t help but feel jealous of the kooks and their wealth. It bothers her that even the slackers get accepted into the fanciest colleges while she has to struggle just to make ends meet. That’s not to say Eden will simply turn the other cheek and she’s not afraid to stand up for herself in front of the kooks. Push her too far, and that famous Finnigan temper is bound to explode.

Growing up, she tried to dress a little finer than she was, portray her and her sister as living well beyond their means. In primary school, she said she’d like to be a princess one day. She could have the nicer things she’d always wanted, help her parents pay off debts, ensure that they’d never want for anything again.  --> Growing up, there were little signs that she and her twin sister, Thea, were witches. In her later years, she’d regret that, thinking that her goals might be easier to obtain had she been a snake. --> The more Thalia immersed herself in the wizarding world, the more fascinated with the Pureblood witches and wizards she became. It seemed that they lived this elegant, decadent life--the life she’d always dreamed about. The more she learned about them, watched them, the more she simply wanted to be one of them. By her fifth year, she found herself trying to befriend certain individuals, anything to get into that world. Her goals from childhood were still intact. She wanted to marry rich, do well for herself and her family, and marrying into a prestigious family seemed the best course of action. As the years went on, her attempts got more blatant. With a looming war over her head, Thalia is more determined than ever to marry into that society. She fully believes that, despite likely being mistreated, if she marries into that world, she’ll be safe from the war. I would be okay with Boeing trying to win Sand back in Ep11 if it means we get to see Ray putting him in his place. Because from all that Sand has referenced the situation with Boeing and Top, I don't take it that Sand has any lingering feelings he's trying to get over atm. I don't see that being a big issue.

Also, this could be a good opportunity for Ray to prove how much he loves Sand? How much he's willing to fight for him? Admittedly it would be of a different caliber than Sand fighting for Ray to go to rehab, enduring his anger, etc. But it's still something I'd like to see.

Bay was born in San Clemente, California to Mackenzie (Mack) & Brady Delta

Mack worked for the city as an engineer, she was very book smart but very particular & required calm & order to thrive

Brady was the head of the city’s Marine Safety department, he was the kind of person who thrived in social situations, who may not have been as book smart as Mack but damn did he know a lot about the world

Bay was the fix-it baby who didn’t fix-it!!

Mack was out the door less than a year after Bay was born, leaving Brady to take care of their daughter himself

Brady was very present in Bay’s early childhood, save one weekend a month where he’d drop Bay off with family friends

The last weekend trip he took, though, was right before Bay turned seven, and Brady came back with a little surprise

This surprise is better known as Sammy “Squirt” Delta, Bay’s half-sibling

Sammy was the missing piece Bay didn’t realize they needed; the family of two became three and for a long time, everything was really really good.

Bay and Sammy went to public school in San Clemente

Bay’s never been afraid to stand up for what’s right, nor is she afraid to use harsh words (or fast fists) to convince others of what’s right -- which meant there were definitely some calls home during school

Bay was an excellent student, though, which probably saved her from getting into as much trouble as she should’ve as a kid

Bay’s also always been an avid reader, and was also the kid who could be found in the morning with a flashlight in her hand and a book on her chest. Squinting at pages in the dark was not good to her eyesight, though, and she got her first pair of glasses at age nine. For a while, she didn’t mind them, but by the time she started high school she was practically begging her dad to buy her contacts, and its rare to find her glasses now (although, we’ll see how long that contacts supply lasts her)

BEGINNING OF POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING CONTENT AHEAD FOR PATERNAL DEATH

Less than a week before Bay’s eighteenth birthday, she & her dad were life guarding a summer kickoff party at a beachfront mansion when one of the glass panels on the side of the pool started to splinter

Both Bay & Brady tried to help party goers out of the pool as fast as possible, but a man who was considerably stronger than Bay pulled her in accidentally and she didn’t make it back out of the pool before the glass split and the current of the water starting pulling her towards it

Bay ended up with numerous shards of glass in the bottom half of her left leg

Brady successfully managed to grab his daughter before she felt over the roof’s edge but, by doing so, sealed his own fate

He passed away eight hours later.

Bay arrived at the hospital with hypothermia and a very damaged leg; although at first it seemed the doctors might be able save it, Bay received a transfemoral (i.e., above the knee) amputation due to an infection her body was unable to shake

She spent 20 days total in the hospital and a year afterwards in a combination of rehab and physical therapy

Bay was also named Sammy’s legal guardian, and she and Sammy were the sole beneficiaries in Brady’s will

Bay and Sammy sold the majority of what they inherited, including their beachfront apartment

Through Brady’s will, Bay and Sammy also learned that their father was originally from a small college town in Kansas, and that he was the owner of his family’s home there

When Bay was cleared by her physical therapist (shout-out to Tony!), she decided it was in their best interest to move away from California and head to West Ham

Bay has a three-year-old golden retriever service dog named Lucky

Sammy gave Lucky to Bay as her 21st birthday present; he wasn’t originally going to be a service dog but when the Delta siblings noticed some of his innate habits and reactions to Bay it just all made sense

When he’s off-duty, he is such a lovable goofball and he loves to be pet and cuddled and to play

When he’s on, he helps Bay deal with both physical and emotional hardships

Lucky really means the world to Bay, as does Sammy

Bay really went on the service trip for Sammy, because he wanted them to go together

It’s interesting because, in terms of post-service trip status, Bay’s life really hasn’t changed all that much?? She still has both her boys, though I think when Factions come into play, she and Sammy might split -- my guess would be that Sammy would go with the Greek Life kids

But, yeah! Bay’s really just taking things as they come, and she’s excited to be here, and I’m excited she’s here.

The first summer back in Tahoe after your freshman semester in college felt welcoming, yet strange. It had been a whole year since you’d moved to Oregon, since the day you had walked in on your ex-boyfriend, Jinyoung, pounding into some foreign exchange student.  Returning felt like a difficult memory, since every store and every local hangout made you reminisce of the good times in addition to the bad. Your best friend was determined to get you out of your slump to enjoy the brilliant summer.  The weather was a perfect seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit – perfect to revisit the secret beach from high school.

“Y/N, don’t even worry about it – Jinyoung didn’t come home this summer.  He’s still in Fresno living it up like he’s somewhere important.  Come on, it’ll just be us and maybe some old friends,” she persisted, tugging at your t-shirt.  You were utterly helpless against her puppy dog eyes – she’d been plaguing you with that look since kindergarten.  You knew she wouldn’t let up, so you agreed – it would be the perfect start to an amazing summer break.

Fuck.  Once you had heard that Jinyoung wasn’t in town, you had thought you were in the clear, but that was until you saw him – Jinyoung’s best friend; Im Jaebum.  He was such a cocky little shit; you remember the way he used to call you fat and snicker with the other guys about how Jinyoung could do better.  You hated him then – you still hated him now.

Your friend noticed him and thought it best if the two of you enjoyed the company of each other instead of joining the others on the other side of the lake’s shore.  Playing Never-Have-I-Ever, the two of you downed beer after beer while candidly sharing sexy stories from college.

“I *hiccup* hate him,” you slurred, staring at Jaebum in the afternoon light.  He was playing Frisbee with two other guys from high school – Jackson and Mark.  While, yes, Jackson had clearly been working out in the past year and looked fantastic without a shirt, and Mark was still just as irresistibly cute as ever, Jaebum had an air to him that hypnotized you.  

“JB?” your friend loudly asked, drawing his attention to the two of you at the sound of his name.

“Shhhh!” you hushed while hitting her, “He can hear you!”  She laughed at your outburst and took another swig while you thought for a moment.  “JB? So what, he’s too chic to go by his birth name now?  What an asshole.”

“He did that because girls started stalking him on Facebook,” your friend quietly explained, pulling you close to tell the tale.  “Once JB got a Tinder account –“

“And became a fuckboy,” you interrupted, making your friend laugh again.

“Yes, definitely, but no, listen!  Rumors started going around town about his talent, if you catch my drift,” she schmoozed, raising her eyebrows and winking as if you were involved in the joke.

“His…talent?”

“Well, from what Momo said,” she leaned in right next to your ear, “he eats pussy like a starved beast.”

“What?!  No way!  Jaebum, if anything, is completely selfish and would only want you to suck him off – there’s no way he’d be down for eating out,” you shrewdly contested, flailing your hands in the air like a child. Your friend stared at you with that ‘really’ expression – Momo was not only known for her promiscuity, but she was also known for her avid inability to keep secrets.  If she went around blabbering about her hookup with Jaebum, odds were definitely in favor of it being true.

“Well, look who we have here, it’s the girl who will always be the third runner up for hottest girl my bro has ever slept with,” Jaebum crudely opened.  “You ladies weren’t by chance talking about me, now were you?”

“Why would I waste my time talking about someone who rates me as fourth most attractive girl who’s been with Jinyoung?  Don’t flatter yourself,” you arrogantly begrudged, remembering just how much of a piece of shit he really was.

“Don’t flatter myself? You shouldn’t flatter yourself, Y/N. I wasn’t being nice in rating you among the few girls Jinyoung’s fucked – you’re third runner up because I’m sure by now his number is only four – once it increases, you’ll go down and down and down and –“

“Shut the fuck up! Jesus, Jaebum, I’m literally back for a day and a half and you need to still be like this?  Haven’t you grown up at all?” you beseeched, hoping desperately that he’d become an adult in that moment.

“I have, but I still hate you, Y/N.  Things like that don’t change in the process of a year.  Jinyoung was right to listen to me and fuck that European chick – you’re still just as much as a gossip as you always have been,” he countered, turning on his heel to leave before adding, “Enjoy your summer and stop talking about me.”

You were fuming.  The hot tears streaming from your eyes wouldn’t stop, even after you attempted – several times – to wipe them away.  Your friend tried to console you after the encounter, but you brushed her off – you needed to follow Jaebum.  From the moment you met him, you never understood why he hated you so much – and now knowing that he was the reason that Jinyoung had cheated on you…enough was enough.  Leaping from the blanket, you strode across the sand to the volleyball net where Jaebum had taken post.

“Why do you hate me so much?!” you bellowed, stomping your foot into the malleable ground and furrowing your brows in disdain.  He glared back at you, and though his eyes were filled with animosity, you couldn’t help but be a little turned on by his expression.  The feeling made you queasy – the mere idea of sex with Jaebum wasn’t something you would even consider.

“Not here,” he muttered, viciously grabbing your arm and leading you into the forestry.  Obeying his lead, you couldn’t help but wonder why he wouldn’t address you in front of his friends.  You figured it was because he had no reasoning – he was just a coward. He abruptly stopped and threw you against a nearby tree.

“What the fuck, Jae –“

“Why are you wearing that?” he abhorrently asked, pointing at the red-caped coverup you wore over your black bikini.

“Why the fuck does it matter what I’m wearing?” you crassly retorted, staring him down with the same ferocity he was feeding you.

“Take it off!” he commanded, pointing at you with that same look that twisted both your mind and insides. You shook your head in protest. Jaebum sauntered to you with that hungry gaze and repeated, but more slowly, “Take it off…now.”

“Tell me why,” you appealed, trying to maintain your ground as he backed you further into the tree. Jaebum hovered over you, and before you knew what to do, you felt his slender fingers wrap around your throat, pinning you to the tree.

“Because seeing you in red makes me so hot I can’t see straight, and it pisses me the fuck off,” he growled next to your ear, using his free hand to tear the crimson cloth from your body.

“You – you better buy me a new one of those,” you choked, grabbing his wrist to relinquish your flesh.

“Never,” he seductivey protested, digging his fingertips along your waist while he breathed into your neck.  The tantalizing digits found the strings to your bottoms and pulled, letting them fall to the ground.  Grabbing the back of his raven hair, you forced him to his knees.

“Down, boy,” you teased as he lifted one of your legs onto his shoulder.  He sneered at your words before scoffing at you. 

“I’m going to make you scream my name for that,” he chided before kissing the taut skin above your slit.

“Doubtful,” you protested. Monday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise picked up with Jordan Kimball ripping down the piñata that Christian Estrada got for Nicole Lopez-Alvar. The action resulted in a physical altercation between the two male models. Jordan slammed Christian on the sand and then production quickly separated the two. Christian fought back against production and cursed Jordan out as he continued to try to come for him.

“We stand behind that — period,” the host said. “That’s not what Paradise is about. This is about a second chance at love. I really do want that for each and every one of you. That’s what this is for. And so we have sent both Jordan and Christian home. We’re not laying blame at anyone’s feet here. That’s not what this is about.”

Rose Ceremony No. 2

Even with two men out of the dating pool, the women still had to send home another two guys at the evening’s rose ceremony. But then, Onyeka Ehie made an announcement that would change the game again.

“I came here with the highest expectations,” she told the group before the rose ceremony started. “I really wanted to meet someone here and I’ve been pretty unhappy here and it’s been for a while, and I can’t give out a rose to anyone tonight. And I’m really sorry. I’m very sure. I love you all, girls and guys. I’ve made amazing friends, so I am not leaving here with nothing.”

With one less rose available, all of the men immediately tensed up, especially Cam Ayala, who thought Onyeka would give him a friend rose. Ultimately, she made the choice that her castmates wanted and picked Dylan. But while everyone then hoped that Blake would go home, his ex Kristina Schulman gave him her rose.

“I want Blake to stick around and find love,” Kristina told the cameras. “That’s what you’re here for, but then Blake would have to watch Hannah and Dylan together. He accepted my rose. In a way he’s choosing to stay in his personal hell. It’s kind of mean but it’s Blake we’re talking about. The temptation is too good.”

That left Wills Reid, Cam and Kevin Fortenberry packing their bags.

Hannah Goes “All In”

New arrival Caitlin Clemmens from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor entered with a date card, and picked Blake to go out with her. Turns out they actually met before the show at — where else? — Stagecoach!

I rolled with it since my MO is generally to start relationships with a whole lot of levity and see where it goes. A new group of former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants arrived in Mexico ready to find love on Monday night’s premiere of Bachelor in Paradise season 6.

This summer’s crop includes Colton Underwood’s finalists Tayshia and Hannah G.; early villain from Hannah Brown’s season, Cam; her former suitor John Paul Jones; longtime franchise member Chris Bukowski; and other Paradise veterans Bibiana, Wills, Annaliese and Derek, who’d gotten engaged on BiP season 4.

While they were hoping to start something new in Vallarta, Nayarit, one participant hopedwanted to figure out the feelings she had in an existing relationship.

Demi, also from Colton’s season, revealed in a pre-beach chat with Hannah B. that she had “kind of been seeing someone.”

“Plot twist, it happens to be a woman,” Demi, 24, told Hannah B. “It’s not something that I need to label, so I feel like I don’t have to proclaim that I am gay, I am straight, I am bisexual, I am this. I just like who I like. It doesn’t matter who or what you are, it’s the person.”

Demi added that Hannah, 24, would “love” her new partner. “We really fell head over heels for each other,” Demi said. “She has the warmest energy. She never gets mad. She’s amazing.”

Hannah supported her friend and asked Demi whether she and her partner were exclusive. “No exclusivity, nothing like that,” Demi declared.

Demi looked to her time in Paradise to help her decide how to proceed with things back home.

“It’s been really confusing,” Demi said. “It’s this constant indecisiveness in me and I just feel like the only way for me to truly know what I want and how I want to love and who I want to love is if I try out Paradise. Maybe Paradise is what it’s going to take for me to figure it out.”

Once she hit the sand, Demi found a connection with 32-year-old Derek, and they ended up kissing in the hot tub.

“I’m ready to find someone that’s ready to have a relationship, and I’m having fun exploring,” she said in an on-camera interview. “I think that that’s why I came here to do, and I’m testing the waters. Flash to me in the hot tub with Derek, Frenchin’.”

Demi continued, “I’ve had some fun with Derek tonight. He’s a sweet, sweet man and I feel good whenever I’m around him. Derek is a good kisser and I love it. I do think that Derek’s sexy. I’m having a lot of fun but I’m definitely trying to take it one day at a time right now.”

Blake’s Tangled Web

The love wasn’t flowing as easily for Caelynn from Colton’s season, who hoped to avoid further drama with her former flame Blake, Becca Kufrin’s runner-up.

“Blake and I talked for a few months and it was really great, but he played me and that sucked,” Caelynn, 23, told host Chris Harrison. “It wasn’t fun. I really did struggle and he hurt me. So if he is here, I just want to clear it up and I’m hopeful that Blake will man up.”

Blake immediately ran away when he saw Caelynn descend the stairs. “Blake sucks,” she continued, as many of the other women expressed interest in going on a date with the 30-year-old. “All of the girls are like saying what a great guy he is, and I’m sitting there like, you guys don’t even know who this guy is. We were seeing each other, I was pretty sure it was exclusive. He’s done some really horrible things to me. So now I’m not interested in him. He’s made it clear he’s not interested in me. I’m a mistake. He’s never apologized, and that’s hurtful.”

Of course, Blake received the first date card, and he asked Tayshia, 28, to join him. As they went off for their evening together, Caelynn opened up to bartender and former Bachelorette contestant Wells.

“I thought he was a great guy and then we really had something,” she told Wells of Blake. “We talked about skipping Paradise and coming out with us, and then he ghosted me. Just like fully stopped communication and now I’m here. F—ing first date. And then we saw each other at a music festival. He ended up sweet-talking me and we spent the night together. And we wake up and I’m in his bed and he’s DMing Hannah G. I’m still in his bed, he’s talking about how hot Tayshia is. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Like no dude, that’s not okay. And then he was like, ‘I just want to let you know I hooked up with Kristina the night before.’”

Caelynn continued, “He calls me two weeks ago and he’s like, ‘No one can know about us. We’ve got to lie. We’ve got to lie our asses off in Paradise.’”

Wells, 35, encouraged Caelynn to tell the rest of the cast about her experience with Blake.

“You’ve got to give everyone the information because how crappy would you feel if this exact same thing happened to someone else and you were like, ‘I didn’t tell them?’” he said.

So Caelynn did exactly that and let Onyeka from Colton’s season be the first to know about her bad experience with Paradise‘s most in-demand bachelor.

“We were like FaceTiming three times a day, texting every day,” Caelynn told Onyeka, 25. “I really liked him. Like I was like, I actually see something with this guy. And everyone last night is like, he’s the king of Paradise. Everyone wants to date him. I was like, guys, he’s so good at twisting things. Very smooth.”

Caelynn also revealed that her ex Colton set her up with Blake, and that they hooked up during the StageCoach Festival in late April.

“He treats girls like scum,” Caelynn said. “Tayshia, he was flirting with you all day at StageCoach and he hooked up with me that night. But he also hooked up with Kristina the night before.”

Because there’s always a storm brewing in Paradise, Kristina was the next to arrive —  armed with a date card. Blake seemed much more content with her presence than he had been when Caelynn first got to the beach.

“Me and Kristina were hanging out maybe like six or seven months ago,” Blake told the other men. “It started as a friendship and then it moved into something more. But whether it was the timing or whatnot, but we decided to stay friends and we have been. We’ve still like honestly, we talk. We’re still there for each other for certain things. Honestly, we’ve been very open with each other. It ended very mutually.”

But Kristina didn’t quite see things the same way. And while she chose Blake for her date, she had alternate plans for how she wanted to spend their one-on-one time.

“I honestly thought he would have a little more respect from me, so knowing he spent the night with her kind of hurt my feelings,” Kristina said. “That’s a slap in the face to me. I will not let myself be f—ed over again, so today I’m going to make Blake my bitch.”
