also can i point out that, directionally, even this game feels confused on what it’s supposed to be. especially, with the combat. if you like the combat, fine. i’m seeing a lot of people enjoying it, but to me, it feels very out of place. the mechanics feel very similar to the insomniac spider-man games. not to say the combat was good in the last da games, because personally, i did not like it in dai or da2, but god, it’s very strange. i didn’t mind much on the learning curve with understanding the mechanics while playing, but after a while, it got so repetitive that i turned my difficulty down to continue on with the quests, after i got used to it 20+ hours in.

dragon age: the veilguard, is literally somebody’s fanfiction. i’m convinced, because i refuse to believe any of what i’m playing, is real. so much lore that you were exposed to from the previous games, is disregarded. “oh, you remember this detail from x game? not real anymore.”
