This is so so amazing!!! Such delight reading this <3<3 and bc my brain was rattling off while reading imma just put my 2 cents in here w/o any means of criticism oder smth <3<3
somehow I want Grian to be a Padawan and like in a little silly rivalry with jimmy maybe? he reminds me a lot of Ahsoka in terms of ways to respond to certain situations and also the "not caring but very deeply caring" attitude from her in the first seasons esp. His focus on results as opposed to light side LOVE IT so much!! that's such a good inner conflict and i can def see him there
Scar and his wonderous lucky/force ways I LOVE IT SO MUCH (also I'm getting into my head rn but what if him in last life life is him going on the dark side and he esp struggles with being left alone? esp after having so many friends and family with the jedi and then Boom none left and he goes into evil hiding mode but cannot contain his sadness that manifests in anger. it's like he can't help to meddle with the universe/story and be a part of it. only now he's just sad and thus using the dark side bc he's that broken inside. and then for double life he gets his redemption bc changing force sides is such a cool star wars trope and a very powerful one at that (thinking of Revan here)
Mumbooo ohh that is so so glorious! I also imagined him as an owner of a luxury ship (company/fleet?) and bc he seems to appear so put together and then somehow Grian and Scar find out he is/was just a mechanic XD their faces! XDD
Jimmy is just so accurate I love it a lot! mans is living by the quote of "trying to have talent, is better than having it and wasting it" and i love that for him
Scott OMG i didn't think of that but it is PERFECT - i am on the floor i love this arc and persona so much for him
Lizzie that is kinda a tough one for me but then i thought that she might come from Hapan (yes i know, they are not part of the Republic let me live) and it's awesome hahha. But i could see her also as part of a drug/smuggling ring leader? Kinda like Raffa from Clone Wars but actually in a position of power and experienced bc she can be oh so cunning and evil yet also has her soft and "good" side.
Joel. Def see him as a Corellian citizen and then pilot def checks out. also him just falling for lizzie while doing the dumbest yet bravest things and also all of that other stuff oh YES
Yo i was going to put team BEST as the Mandalorians+others crew with y'know Etho being just feared by all but i mean Mandos are Assassins so B)
never knew i Needed Bdubs as a Jedi Master but now i want nothing less and nothing else B) IT FITS SO WELL MY MIND IS BLOWN :DD
Cleo ohh that sounds so tragic and like her a lot! i can imagine her going to another force-sensitive group (like the Nightsisters on Dathomir or smth else) and also her coming back for Pearl and the others <3<3 poetic cinema right there!
love Impulse's and Pearl's story so much - esp bc Pearl's so much fits to her in Double life with Scott now <3<3 so genius!
Tango is also smth i didn't know i needed but boi do i wanna cry and hold him dearly and wish team BEST all the best (no pun intended) in the world !!!
hmm with Martyn I'm not sure I'd put him into the Jedi temple bc he's often without a home and has not that strong attachment to anyplace or anyone? I can imagine him coming from like a wealthy family/planet with his carefree attitude on main who's just here to have some fun until he meets Ren and becomes.... let's say more attached/infuriated/fascinated??(my English is leaving me i'm sorry!!) like he wants to just travel the galaxy and have fun but also doesn't say no if Ren drags him along for some "Mission with a cause that will make an impact on XX people" or for ren's own profit. does that maybe make him the son of a senator or some sort? bc he's also really good with words and his attitude in the means of that in the traffic series he often chills with the reds w/o being threatened or killed
No Knights of Ren? XPPPP sry I had to hahhaha (but also I want to think about it now even tho it's not Clone Wars time line and I basically no nothin about the sequels) but it'd put him into a position to fight against Grian and Scar on main while also being extremely devoting and full of emotions and not afraid of using them) But him wanting to protect his people like in 3rd life that reminds me a lot of rebellion leaders like Cham Syndulla and now imagine this on a galaxy wide scale (another wild thought rn but Martyn could also be like a news reporter who gets send to Ren's planet to inform about the rebellion there and then somehow gets roped up with them)
Love the BigB story with the foundling and then being raised there and joining the Mandos!
nothing to add to Skizz - we are missing him a lot rn
trafficlife star wars au
hello welcome to my mad ramblings on how each trafficlifer would work in the star wars universe. support with character analysis gratiously provided by @memryse <3333
This is based in the prequel/Clone Wars era specifically as this is where most of my knowledge surrounding the Order, Mandalore, and the Galactic Senate exists. However, no one will be assigned as a clone trooper because I have other ideas. Enjoy!
Grian: Your average Jedi Knight - more specifically a Jedi Consular. These Jedi use the force to provide strength in combat and wisdom in diplomacy, favouring words and non-violent usage of the Force. This fits Grian quite well as he isn’t as quick to violence, and very much uses diplomacy, trickery, and manipulation to achieve results. On the surface, Grian is your good peace defending Jedi and probably teaches a lot of the initiate classes, but wouldn’t take on a padawan unless assigned one. Under all that however, Grian seems to be somewhat cursed when it comes to the Force, thus faces a struggle with staying true to the light and falling prey to dark side influences every once in a while because it gets him results (similar to Ezra after taking teachings from the Sith holocron in Rebels). Whilst the Order view this as a bad thing, Grian is more in balance with the Force than some of the Masters on the Council due to both light and dark influences within him. Even so, he is paired with Scar a lot, with Scar’s uncanny good luck negating what some view as Grian’s personal curse.
Scar: Scar is 100% a Jedi Knight, specifically a Jedi Guardian. You’ve seen how much he loves this franchise and I just feel it fits him perfectly. Guardians are your classic Jedi that we’re used to seeing - defending peace with lightsabers and martial prowess. Scar is definitely overconfident and is quick to retaliate, traits that are more fitting of Guardians. Additionally, he finds himself in a lot of tight-spots on missions, but for some reason always manages to survive by the scruff of his neck. Many think his unnatural luck is a rare Force ability, but even the Masters cannot tell. You won’t find a Jedi Knight more befitting of the title than Scar. Additionally, him and Grian end up on a lot of missions together much to Grian’s annoyance (he secretly enjoys them).
Mumbo: The mechanic, the mans a redstone genius of course he’s a mechanic in this universe. A little insane perhaps, making his friends contantly question is he going to sell them out or kill them? Probably not but the threat still lingers. Despite this, he is very good friends with some of the Jedi like Grian and Scar who regularly come to him for infomation and repairs because he can get them done a whole lot quicker than the mechanics at the Order thats for sure. Mumbo has visted a whole lot of planets (whether that be with pirates or amateur star pilots and smugglers) and picks up a lot of gossip that he brings back to his shop on Coruscant.
Jimmy: Another Force wielder, Jimmy is a Padawan of the Order but his Master is no one within the trafficlifers. Even so, he finds ways to hang around the trafficlifers in the Order all the same. Steadfast and loyal, Jimmy is your picture perfect Padawan who enjoys a little bit of mischief every now and again. His connection to the Force is not particularly the strongest - he only barely passed the Initiate trials and has been a Padawan a lot longer than many who were in his original Initiate clan. However, this just means he works twice as hard under his Master, making up for what he lacks in natural ability with rigorous training and meditation.
Scott: Scott is an esteemed and essentric senator who holds a lot of sway within the Galactic Senate - something he occasionally uses to his advantage. He surrounds himself with allies which range from Jedi of the Order to pirates and assassins, which has earned him a lot of respect and is in someways unntouchable to the forces of evil. Him and Pearl went through the academy together on their home planet, and began to train to debate in the Senate together. Somewhere along the way, however, they had a disagreement of sorts, leaving Scott to rise to his position on his own. Pearl is now an a regular torment in his life, and pretty much the only major threat he’s faced so far due to how many people he has on side.
Lizzie: Also a senator in this au, Lizzie is both Scott’s greatest ally in the Senate and also his main opposition. When they agree they are a formidable force, but when they butt heads it results in arguments that are never resolved. Lizzie somehow has even more allies that Scott - Jedi, Mandalorians, and even the morally grey. This makes her a huge target and she is underestimated by those who do not know her, thinking she can fetch ransoms. On a particularly tricky kidnapping, a few Jedi were dispatched who went to Joel to help locate and rescue her. They discovered her half escaping and she very much took control of the mission almost immediately. Joel continues to visit her in secret in order not to damage her reputation in the Senate too badly.
Joel: Space pirate Joel? Space pirate Joel. A lot of the time he does his own thing, just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe but had a fateful run-in with the Jedi one day: specifically Grian and Scar. Due to his resourcefulness and less than savoury contacts, he is approached more often than he’d liked by the Jedi duo and their friends (he loves it really). It’s not all bad, however. They led to him meeting his now-wife Lizzie, and is valued as a close ally and friend despite how irritating he can be.
Etho: Working as an assassin, Etho is as good as they come in terms of talent and skill. Some say it’s dumb luck how he’s able to get away with half the incredibly dangerous missions he carries out but for any Jedi witnessing his exploits it is very clear he has a little bit of force sensitivity. However, he himself is completely unaware and doesn’t really give it too much thought. Somewhere along the way he ended up teaming up with Tango - a bounty hunter - and also having regular run ins with Jedi Bdubs and Skizz. He’s not too sure why they stick around, but the four of them have become slightly infamous in the Outer Rim territories with eradicating serious crime. One could say they’re the BEST team for it…
Bdubs: What is Bdubs if not a Jedi Master??? Like Grian, he is more in tune to Force abilities rather than martial prowess, sending him down the path of Consular. So strong is his connection in fact, he is plagued by visions in the dark of what has passed and what is to come so he retires to his quarters in the Temple before it becomes night. Taken in at a young age, Bdubs was in the same initiate clan as Cleo and they passed their trials together. they remained fast friends as they excelled through the Order, but when the time came for Bdubs to be granted the rank of Master Cleo abandoned the Jedi entirely. They have not seen each other since, with Bdubs becoming extremely wary of running into her again but determined to help her if he does. In his spare time off missions, Bdubs takes to giving disguised training to his close friend Etho as well as bringing Tango back into the light with Skizz.
Cleo: Cleo was found and raised in the Jedi Temple from almost birth, and for most of her existence was the only life she ever knew. She grew close and furiously loyal to her clanmate Bdubs, but despite his good influence she regularly broke the rules. As she grew older and into a Jedi Knight this turned into straight up violating the Code itself and she was left with an ultimatum by the Council: leave of her own accord to put a stop to the chaos, or be publicly expelled. She chose the first option, leaving Coruscant almost immediatly and not returning for years. Now she works as hired help and most of her days involve removing Pearl from Scott’s premises.
Impulse: Back to the world of crime, Impulse works as a smuggler and a semi-successful pilot. Very much a can you trust him can you not type of guy, he runs supplies and smuggles weapons to both the Republic and the Seperatists, without the other side suspecting (most of the time). Because of this he picks up a lot of infomation from either side and sells it to make a bit of extra profit. Some Jedi find him valuable, especialy because they suspect his ties to the Seperatists, and come to him for intel occasionally. However, he is not above betraying either side for profit. Definitely a you can totally trust him but definitely cannot type of guy.
Pearl: A former senator turned bounty hunter, Pearl grew up through the training academy with Scott on her home planet. The two were an extremely formidable team, almost having some sort of telepathy between them as they excelled in tests and then the Senate itself. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to last. The two finally came to a major disagreement, with Pearl taking matters into her own hands and approaching more dangerous sources for infomation to help their case in the Senate. She did not consider the danger it could have put the two of them in, but in her eyes that would have been a risk they would’ve taken. From there Scott tarnished her repuation, labelling her as crazy and so she turned to bounty hunting. Still wanting to help those in need, Pearl works as a Robin Hood style hunter - stealing money and infomation from the rich to help the poor. She also makes the time in her day to go and torment Scott whenever she finds herself on Coruscant, for old times sake.
Tango: Previously apprenticed to a sith lord, Tango now works as a bounty hunter alongside Etho after falling back into the Light. He rarely uses his Force abilities now, shutting himself off from them as he is tormented by the guilt of his actions whilst under the influence of the Dark side, despite his old master being long gone. His new life with Etho is honest and most of his days are much happier, filled with harmless pranks and jokes. Occasionally he is viisted by the Jedi Bdubs and Skizz who he has become fast friends with. The two keep offering him lessons and advice, to train him again in the Light, but he refuses to take them up on their offer. Although, they are beginning to wear him down…
Martyn: Martyn was a Padawan raised from an extemely young age in the Order. It was recognised early on that he had a very natural and influencial gift with the Force and is prone to visions that both aid and torment him. However, early on in his Padawan training, Martyn began to realise the flaws and hypocrisies of the Order and how it conducted itself. He also lacked discipline and overall was not suited to the Jedi constraints. The final straw was his master’s fall to the Dark side of the Force, leading him to abandoning the Order all together after they did nothing to help. He ran all the way to Mandalore, and works as Ren’s right-hand man (and also giving him some darksaber training here and there).
Ren: The exalted ruler of Mandalore. Growing up in one of the very much more warrior clans on Mandalore and it’s surrounding moons, Ren challenged the previous ruler for the Darksaber and the right to rule as soon as he was old enough. Ever since, he has brought relative prosperity to his people but unafraid to call to arms if needed. Ren has become even more formidable in recent years after the addition of a former Padawan to his guard and council, wielding the Draksaber with much more expertise than anyone assumed before.
BigB: Another Mandalorian, BigB was brought into their ways after he was found abandoned in a skirmish the Mandalorians were a part of. Taken in as a foundling, he was taught the ways of the Mandalorians by allies to Ren’s clan and he eventually grew up to join Ren’s immediate guard once he assumed control of the planet. A few years into this he had a run-in with the former Jedi Cleo and formed a shakey alliance with her. She convinced him to try and steal the Darksaber from Ren (unaware that it had to be won by combat) but in the end he switched back, completely betraying Cleo.
Skizz: A Jedi Knight. The Jedi Knight if you will. A perfect example of what the Jedi Order is all about, Skizz excelled at combining his martial prowess with the ways of the Force. In his time in the Order, he remains close with Bdubs and is very loyal to the Order and its cause. However, he has also recently been led away by Bdubs to hang around bounty hunters. He took fastly to them, considering Etho, Tango, and Bdubs to be his closests friends and allies, and more than willing to lay down his life for them.
