back when you knew zandik at the akademiya, wayyy back then when you started dating... well, he could not handle the overwhemling foreign feelings that he feels whenever he's around you. like, too much and his brain just malfuctions.

its not like he doesn't like it! he's just not used to it. you're basically the only person he's known to even be so sweet and understanding to him so he's getting used to it!!

because of this, out of reflex (he doesn't mean it genuinely, think of it his own way of being reciprocating affections when he's still getting used to it), he says the meanest shit ever. you kiss him, you tell him you love him and that he's precious to you; and he'd probably say something like "die in a ditch" HHAHAHAAH

like, its genuinely like an instinct to say shit like that for him, so be patient for a while. you'd know it's not genuine because the tips of his ears, down to his neck, would be completely red as he looks away from you, but would never pull away from you,,
