I actually actively am a fan of this guy he is one of my (many) Just Dance blorbos. He’s so! Special to me! ALSO, this one is definitely more like a smattering of headcanons than like... a consistent lore thing for him.

Preface (mostly for the person who requested him): As a fellow Rockafeller Skank fan, I’ve seen your posts and your headcanons are super awesome and cool (I love to see people thinking different thoughts about the same character, it’s so fun)! So! This is DJ Rock-A-Fella AKA Rocky! He's a dorky highschooler that DJs in his free time. Also, he goes to Woodcrown High School in Dancity. Originally, though, he's from Cyberfunk :)

If anyone's throwing a house party, you just KNOW he's going to show up with all his equipment and be like "Hi, what's up, this music sucks, I'm plugging my stuff in."

He's like one of those guys that has to play a guitar at every party, except instead of playing "Wonderwall," he's making a mashup of "It's Raining Men" and "Holding Out For A Hero." No one expects it to be good, but he's amazing. It's his passion!

Currently, Rocky's dating D.A.N.C.E (who I call Julie). They've been together since middle school. They did one slow dance together on a whim at a school dance (it was kind of awkward) and Julie asked, "Hey, do you wanna, like, date?"

And he went, "Sure."

And they've been together ever since. She's a cheerleader! I imagine they go on little arcade dates and she absolutely DESTROYS him at like... Mortal Kombat.

I don't know! To me, he's just this little nerd with really good music taste.

One of the many things I like about G2, is that Ghoul Squad introduced non standard designed characters, like Wooley

And there were also skeleton bros Bonesy and Skelly, and goo monster Gob, and ice sprite Crystal.

G3 continued with this, although a bit less, with characters like Kuma, the golem teacher whose name I'm not remembering at the time, and Goobert. (I think there are more, but those are the ones I'm remembering right now).

Why?

Because it kinda justifies dolls from other franchises being friends with the boo crew. Pinkie Cooper? Sure. Gorgeous Creatures? Of course. Capsule Chixs? Absolutely. Weird hybrids? FUCK YES.

Hell even technically non dolls like Tokidoki Unicornos, Mixie Magics or any flavor of troll (old school, trollz, the new trolls, or zelfs) fit right in.

Unboxed the latest tokidoki unicorno- my Xmas for the year (okay so there’s also two Lamp Chop plushes on this desk, so I decorated three whole items). Was pleasantly surprised how much I like this guy; I collect penguin-themed jewelry and holiday soap as my go to animal - always give friends and family an animal or two and one color so that they have a fallback gift idea. The unicorno collection is definitely extensive now and goes all the way across the desk shelf. A lot of them are souvenirs connected to both of my sisters or gifts.

The tiny dog plush was a preemptive gift - received it before my goober hound died, but it was with that intention of something to remember her when she did die of cancer half a year later.

Listening to grown adults complain about kids toys not catering to them is actually kind of funny. Like that post that's going around like "ugh, kids toys these days are ALL blind bags!" which is just flat out not true, but also, yeah, kids fucking love blind bags! even back when I was a kid, we fucking loved blind bags. when I was 10 I would watch HOURS of YouTubers opening Tokidoki unicornos. Kids like surprises. They like blind bags, they like gacha, they like those 25¢ toy dispensers at the mall. Humans love a little mystery.

Or doll collectors who complain "I don't think EVERY doll needs to come with a hair brush! They're annoying, I have a box full and need none of them." Well my dear, collectors are not the target audience of playline dolls, and every doll comes with a hair brush because some kids can only afford ONE doll. To me (having grown up impoverished) this feels like common sense, but I guess if you grew up with 40 Monster High Dolls and as an adult you just kept collecting them, it probably doesn't occur to you that most kids can't afford to collect $30 dolls.

It's already getting cold for me in Wisconsin, after years of living in New Mexico.

So I have already submitted a bunch of friendship bracelet style tapestry/wall-hangings on the bracelet book--a New Mexico flag; a couple of tokidoki unicornos--I want to do a whole series of unicornos. I thought my sister would appreciate a Stitch, so I put Stitch on a galaxy-ish background.

Right now, I'm working on a giant Haku wall hanging--it'll be about two hundred by about four hundred pixels/stitches, knots, what have you.

I know she'll also appreciate something with bees, but I couldn't find anything that exists already; my tablet was dying, my charging cord doesn't work very well, and my sister wanted me to work downstairs with her for a while. I'm the kind of person who finds plenty of human comfort and companionship merely knowing there are other humans in my vicinity, so I'm perfectly happy knowing that she exists inside the house.

I kind of wish I could crochet and afford money for these hangings. Then they'd be really big. Respectable wall hangings. But small has its benefits: You could display more. When it's time to change them out, they'll be easier to store (if I even make that many). They should work up fast enough when I figure out what I'm doing. Either way, getting some soft stuff up on the walls should help dampen when the puppy shrieks.

I'm realizing I'm better at conceiving patterns; I'm not so great at sticking around to use them.

thoa, son of clithulu, by fantasticocks! i got a pre-set color because they were on sale but by default they do customs. i know i said internal doesn't do it for me but like. i still like it. it's just not going to get me there, is all. basically everything else by fantasticocks is too big for me. i am a delicate flower. i have not yet tested using it with a harness but i feel like it would work. they also have tentacle dick packers if that's relevant to your interests. i still want to find a cute box or chest to keep it in where it won't get linty and weird and i am accepting suggestions.

the tokidoki x lovehoney unicorno magic wand. it's just a regular magic wand with a unicorn head on it. you can actually remove the unicorn head to make it a regular magic wand but i don't. it turns out the presence of the ear is vital for me and otherwise i would find it useless. it's too goddamn big. it's the size of a small car. i'm still mad i didn't get the scene kid looking one in black. this one's been my daily driver since the nea broke. can't run out of batteries if you have to plug it into the wall!

Road Map for 2023 (and beyond?)

First of all, let me make it clear that the kimono content will always be the primary focus of my blog. Whether it be outfit coordinations, events, or informational posts, this is never going to stop. However, I have realised that in my current situation I can't keep up with the rate of mannequin coords I have posted in the past. There are multiple reasons for this. Firstly, I used to work a maximum of twenty hours a week. Then the pandemic hit and I was fully unemployed for over a year. This meant a ton of free time. I now have the luxury of working from home but I work a full forty hours a week, plus occasional overtime, which leaves me much less in the way of free time. My collection has also gotten so overwhelming that sometimes just looking at it while deciding what to coordinate with is exhausting! Secondly, I am spending months at a time with my boyfriend in California, and hauling significant portions of my collection and a mannequin back and forth is just entirely unreasonable. His house also doesn't have the space for me to take over a kimono corner, let alone the entire room. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, I am dealing with the early stages of a frozen shoulder. This makes it difficult for me to even dress myself in yofuku (you should see me trying to do up my bra, it's hilarious), let alone dress an uncooperative mannequin in wafuku. I am doing physical therapy and getting injections for it, and we've managed to slow its progression, but it's not really getting better yet. So what does all this mean for you, my beloved readers and followers? It means I'm going to be making a concentrated effort to bring you more content relating to Japanese arts, culture, and lifestyle, still while focusing on kimono, but broadening my scope somewhat. I also hope to bring more accessible products to you, not only imported things. Between shipping times, fluctuating currencies, and carbon imprints, it's nice for those of us in the Americas and Europe to be able to experience a bit more wa in our lives with more ease. Expect to see more tea reviews, restaurant reviews (I am going to Morimoto Las Vegas next week and I cannot wait to share my experience with you), book reviews, and health & beauty products (Tatcha and Rituals of Sakura coming up soon). These are all things I will be able to do after work, with a bum shoulder, while away from Montreal, or any combination of the above. I realise some of you did not sign on for this and if you decide this blog is no longer for you I fully understand. But I hope some of you will choose to stick around and see what the future holds for all of us!
