Batfam Fanon vs Canon Questions

Hey guys! I’ve really been getting into the batfam, but still need to get into the canon material. Until I do though, I had some questions about what is canon and what is fanon?

Is Tim actually tiny for his age? I read him described as being tiny for age/looking exceptionally young for his age and was wondering if this is canon.

Why thank u I have so much about them I love them bart is my blorbo

Tim always notices when Bart is getting quiet or overstimulated in conversation or other such situations. He offers comfort or grounding, whether it’s a distraction, fidget or removing him from the conversation

Tim is Barts lightning rod, when part gets really in his head and is speeding around or talking too fast or blurring and he’s not really there Tim can ground him (he offers physical touch, if Bart needs/wants it)

Counter: sometimes bart needs to run or pace around and just exhaust himself but tim never leaves, he will sit and watch and wait he’s there for bart

Tim calls Bart goose and lightning bug and Bart calls him Timmy

Bart has a lot of nicknames for Tim actually, most of them funny (Timtam, Timbit, Timothy Chalamet)

Bart is just about the only person who can get tim away from his work, and he’s got a sense for it.

Every time they get spotted in public they make up a different role for Bart in Tim’s life.

Bart is the type of person to come up with a wild solution to something and Tim lets him try it

They like to be in each other’s presence even if they aren’t talking, sometimes they can’t talk but they want to be in eachothers space. Tim will be reading or studying while Bart lays on him playing a video game

Bart has a warped sense of life and death, and he doesn’t see death as a bad thing but more of an escape (he has trauma from his past (time in the future)) but the thought of losing Tim will send him into a spiral

whenever Tim gets sick or injured (like needs bed rest) bart will stay with him at the manor or in his room at the tower the entire time

bart speaks so many languages and loves to call tim petnames in other languages, tim melts everytime.

@theboxfort asked me about Ellsworld AUS, but I was a dingus and hit post too early, so here I go, reposting everything in here.

SO. The opposite to Eddsworld USA, Ellsworld AUS. AUS for AUStralia and most likely shares the same canon universe as the EW lads, so I’m gonna try to talk EVERYTHING here. At least, till I get tired.

General notes:

Ell, Tamara (Tam) and Matilda (Tilda) all live approximately in South-East Queensland, somewhere between the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. Not exactly Brisbane, but everything is a good few train+tram rides or shitty bus rides away.

Meanwhile, the neighbour trio (or more rather, the rivals, we’ll get to that if people are curious) are from further down south, think New South Wales, Sydney and Melbourne: Victoria.

The main trio all share a house together in some Queensland middle-class suburbia. If you know the architecture of the houses there, imagine that but with a red roof. The attic was a recent addition, but it’s a pain for their electricity bills since it’s where the best air-con is for the summertime.

Ell (Ellie) Gelding

Born locally on the coast. She doesn’t say which one just to keep people guessing.

Works two main jobs: the first being as a wildlife conservationalist at a zoo (which one, I’m not saying it’s Australia Zoo but I’m also not saying it can’t be), and at the local animation studios in Brisbane.

She loves both her jobs for the unique opportunities, and while animation is her greater passion, the zoo was where she’d found Starr the stray tabby cat in the quokka enclosure, taming and adopting him as her own.

(Starr has become a very good boy since then, he won’t eat or hunt the native animals and instead is a very cuddly baby)

I’m not saying Steve Irwin was an inspiration to her and why she took up a job at the zoo no what are you talking about

Often wears khaki shorts, work boots and a green cotton sleeveless hoodie on top of her khaki zoo work shirt, alongside a brown leather cattleman hat.

Tans a lot more easily than Matilda, but still gets more prone to sunburns than Tam.

Love for puns and nicknames is very prevalent in calling Tilda ‘Waltzing Matilda’ to piss her off. Also calls Tamara ‘Timtam’ after the biscuit, and she’s the ONLY one allowed to call her friends with silly nicknames.

Utterly unfazed by insects, spiders and snakes. Obvious as to why, so it’s easy for Tam and Tilda to come yelling to her about any Huntsman spider in the shower, cockroaches in any of the bedrooms, or the occasional brown snake under the porch. (The last one, she handles very, very carefully.)

In this universe, I’m not saying she was the one who designed the furry mascots for those limited edition Olympic furry $2 coins, but…

Tamara (Tam) Henderson

Indigenous Australian and proud of it. She ain’t no whitefella.

She hasn’t done much research on her heritage due to records being lost in a bowling alley and fruit markets. (Those were her parents’ fault, long story she never will touch on.)

Is definitely from South-East Queensland, but will always leave people guessing as to where she’s from.

Whilst usually olive-skinned compared to Ell and Matilda, she tans the most and burns the least out of the three of them. (Not to say Ell doesn’t worry about her not having sunscreen on.)

Wears her hair short. How it’s visualised is up to the imagination.

The deal with her eyes is rumoured to be something from the Dreamtime, but due to the lack of sources, nobody actually knows, apart from being heriditary from her mother’s side.

Surprisingly not a lightweight when drinking or drunk, even when the rest of her cousins from either side of the family are.

She fought a kangaroo while blackout drunk once. She won. With a scar on her right arm to prove it.

Often wears a white checkered crop top and black cargo shorts, with some well-loved checkered vans. She also wears blue piercings in her ears and nose, and also her father’s blue hoodie if it’s cold.

Total skater girl with a well-loved and battered wide skateboard.

Has worked a bunch of odd jobs, often in pubs. She contributes to rent cleanly, but it’s never explained how she does.

Matilda (‘Tilda) Ó Corra

Born a Gold Coast local and unafraid to shy away from it.

Her family line comes from wealthy Irish folks who had migrated to Australia during the gold rush. They’d been well-known for their money and prominent genetic streak of gingers. (Tilda LOVES telling the story about how one of them got kidnapped and then became a bushranger with two other women, but that’s a long one for another day.)

Yes, she’s directly descent from the bushranger Ó Corra member.

Her very Irish-Australian genetics however lead her to being the most easily-burnable in the sun, with little to no tanning whatsoever. Ell definitely gets on her back about using sunscreen.

Despite that, she’s a total beach babe: almost always wearing some sort of purple swimmers as fashion (bikinis, one-pieces, two-pieces, etc), a bright green sarong or pair of shorts around her waist, and if it’s not her flip-flops, it’s slip-on sand shoes while the flip-flops are in the tote bag she has that day. Don’t even get her started on shell jewellery!

If you plan to go thrift-shopping, do NOT take Tilda with you. Sure she’s damn good at picking out what works on you, but she’ll come home with hundreds of dollars worth of thrift hauls. Send help, Ell and Tamara are getting tired of this and can’t afford to keep all of it in the closets

Easily excitable about the beach and anything related to it, and is actually a pretty good surfer! Her surfboard is the second-favourite item she owns next to her mirror. (It’s got purple hibiscus flowers on it!)

The other thing she gets excited about is herself and her narcissism, of course. It’s basically the only thing preventing her from being a lifeguard.

Has an uncanny ability to tell which beach is best for surfing at that day just by looking at the ocean. Same goes for how boats will handle it.

Speaking of boats, she owns a little tinny, but still hasn’t found her sea legs yet, so seasickness is inevitable. Either she’s the one steering the motor, or someone else is while she constantly throws up over the side.
