#they're everything#btvs#also this is a silyl joke post but i do have thoughts on spike generally dropping his front around dawn#like dawn barely remembers him as evil vampire she only knows him as guy who was there right before buffy left and then giles bath creature#and one thing about spike is that he does not treat dawn like a child And drops his armour hence stuff like dawn picking up on buffycrush#n more broadly dawn confiding in / trusting him . like the 'i must be evil' scene where dawn Knows spike isnt just trying to make her feel#better he really means what he is saying and that matters so much to dawn in that moment yk#like they both constantly have to prove themselves in some capacity (or feel like they do) and the fact they can interact levelly is so imp#they're besties#important*#spike#dawn summers
