They found that Aston Martin committed a procedural breach, and RedBull commuted a procedural breach and a minor financial overspend (less than 5% of the cap). I guess some journalist claimed they had some insider info from RB that the spending went to “catering” so obviously chaos ensued in the meme department, but if that’s actually true, we don’t really know. RedBull claims to be surprised at these findings (obviously probably gonna try to downplay this and act like it was an accident but how do you spend almost $7m without noticing???). No word on what the penalty will be yet.
thanks for filling me in!!
yeah by the sounds of it there will probably be no real punishment
but also i wonder if rbr is the one spreading the rumours that it went to catering so no one can talk about how it helped give them a championship winning car 👀

According to autosport, Ferrari is being looked into by the FIA for potentially running illegal tests on floor specs during the imola tyre test. Apparently “rivals” noticed a difference in Charles’ and Carlos’ floor specs during testing. Kinda funny after the Ferrari fans were so hyped about the budget cap accusations against Red Bull. 👀
Didn't FIA refute doubts about Ferrari doing more than simple testing in Imola:

One of the guys above has a sharper eye. Let's see what will come out of this and if Ferrari has actually tested their Barcelona floor in the tyre testing or not 💁
Considering that Mercedes had once used their tyre testing for other purposes and got away with a slap on their wrist in the past, and Ferrari's illegal engine in 2019 just turned to air, I don't think that there will be much punishment for them if they did some sneaky business again.
Also, idiots are creaming their pants calling Redbull cheaters, but are they even aware that Redbull is the only team among the top four whose hands are waaay cleaner than the rest about shit like this?
