hi !! super late bc i never refresh my dash so i just saw the ask game thing BUT,

1. i hope you are doing well it's been a while !!

2. i went to meet my advisor for my masters starting in the fall last week and she was soo sweet and helpful, im going to be doing research with figurative language which i'm SO excited for i have a lot of reading to do to figure out what exactly i'll be looking into but i'm excited !!

3. i have pottery class tonight, it is my second last class of a 2 month course but i'm really excited, i made a soap dish last week, this week i'm going to attempt some kind of mug or maybe shot glasses ?? we shall see what happens tho haha

4. i have become fully obsessed with the album "under the new light" by maia friedman over the last couple of days it was the only thing i listened to all day at work today lol, what have you been listening to recently ?? i will need more new music soon so i don't get tired of the one album i'm listening to right now lol

Hello! I haven't updated tumblr in a while soooo decided to make a (long) post about what I'm currently working on and what I've posted recently:

MLB Writing Updates

1. In December I posted A Holiday Wish. It's a fun little few-shot where Adrien gets a gift from Plagg and sees what life is like if Ladybug loved him back. Shenanigans ensue. I really had fun with it. It's a companion piece to my story 'A Birthday Wish', wherein Marinette gets a similar birthday gift from Tikki. I always had the idea of "hmmm what if this was Adrien and Plagg, instead?"

2. I also wrote, in December, a fic for a gift exchange where the duo visits the Shadyverse. It's holiday themed, and I reallyyyyy enjoyed writing the piece. I was able to dive into Shadybug's life and paint a picture of what that universe may be like for her. I may expand on the universe simply because it's SO unexplored and interesting to write/create. I can really do anything with it! Some minor head canons were: Marinette's parents are divorced, Marinette lives alone, her still lives in Paris but is distant, her mother lives in China (estranged), Ladybug and Adrien are together, GabeDad is kind and loving, Marinette's second home is the Gabriel Mansion, Marinette lives alone, the bakery is a chain that churns out mediocre sweets.

I LOVE LOVE writing Adrien Angst - as many of you know - and the Shadyverse lets me flip that into Marinette angst in a similarly delicious way.

3. My Antidote story is 10k words and complete in my eyes but... it's also not complete. I want to post it but it ends abruptly and I don't want to disappoint readers. I'm uninspired to write a big final battle. TBD - may post before the end of the month.

Harry Potter Writing Updates

1. I posted my first ever triad smutfic. It's raunchy and *ahem* well I like it lol! Dreomione anyone? Check it out! Rated Explicit! Title: Disobedient

2. My Veela!Draco 8th Year story is coming along. I've recently been struck with inspiration. At the moment I have 28k words written. I'm thinking it will be around 45k by the time I'm done. It's spicy, but I'm also trying to do a solid "Draco is a new man" characterization that is believable, so the love story doesn't fall flat among the smut. I hope to start posting before May (fingers crossed!!)

3. I think I'm going to finally cross-post my old, old, first ever fanfiction, 'A Tale of Cinderella' to ao3. I've edited that thing about 100 times and it's evolved into something post-able. I'll post it all at once. Maybe tomorrow. Dramione/Rated G/Fifth Year Cinderella-esque romance

Zutara Writing Update

1. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned I have a Zutara story in the works, but I do. It'll be rated PG. I wanted to post it before the Live Action came out buuuuut not all things work out. Still, I have a lot of fun writing it and hope to post it by the end of the summer. Summary: "What if Katara healed Zuko's scar in Ba Sing Se, and Aang fully unblocked his final Chakra, releasing all worldly tethers (and Katara) and allowing him to master the Avatar state? Zutara book 2/3 divergence." What do you all think? Does it sound interesting? I'm shaping it around the cartoon so some chapters include things like [watch book 2 episode 20], etc. I want it to be as canon as possible - but Zutara!

WOW THIS WAS A LONG POST. I didn't realize how much I've been doing writing-wise. I'm happy I spent the time to type this all out even if no one reads it :)

I was walking downtown looking at all the small cafés and makeup shops and some of the clothing stores. I wanted to get myself something nice for my birthday since I never really saw my family too often and wasn't really expecting anything since I was going to be turning 26.

I decided to get a coffee and continue strolling afterwards, pulling out my phone and scrolling through it whilst I waited in the line. A notification had popped up at the top of my screen, Jamie tweeted. I tapped on the notification.

Can't wait to see you tonight 'town name on -/-/--' -J xo.

He was now making his way round into the town the both of us grew up and still lived in today. And was having a concert on my birthday.. I was about to open our texts so i could message him, but that was when i got interrupted by the woman behind the counter.

"Hi ma'am, how may I help you today?" Her voice sounded light, but bored. probably because she'd been dealing with shitty customers all day, thankfully I didn't have a job like this.

"Hello, could I just get a small vanilla caramel coffee please?" I responded with my most poilet voice, clearly fake.

After she told me my coffee would be finished soon I strutted my way towards a one person table. I opened my phone screen and started to text Jamie.

Hey, saw your tweet, how many more shows are you having?

it didn't take him long to respond, I felt my heart flutter once the message switched from delivered to read; just now. And then he started to type back.

hey! I think we're only going to be doing around 3 or 4 more, you miss me that much hm?

I could feel my cheeks flush pink as I read his text, I always had feelings for Jamie, I guess I'd just never really realized or came to terms with them until a few years ago.

well yeah, you're my best friend Jamie

trust me darling, I'm aware. You're my best friend as well, maybe I'll see you at the next show, yeah?

hmm I dunno

come onnn, I'll get you free tickets, please show up, it'll be my birthday present to you.

no, no you don't have to get me free tickets, maybe I'll show up okay?

meaning you'll be there, yeah?

oh my gosh. okay, I gotta go, I'll talk to you later Jamie.

I smiled as I jumped a bit from one of the baristas calling my name for my coffee, shit. I forgot about that. I turned off my phone screen and put it in my back pocket as I walked up to the counter adjusting my purse as I grabbed my coffee and smiled at the woman.

I thanked her as I walked out of the café and started to head my way around a bit. I ended up going into a small makeup store to buy lip gloss and some other cosmetics. as i started to stroll back to my apartment, I found myself buying a ticket to the concert tonight for COUNTERFEIT. , Jamie's band. him and his brother, Sam, had formed the band around a year ago. They had some really good songs, but Jamie would never know that.

It was around 6:30, COUNTERFEIT. was starting their show at 7:00. I was rushing to finish getting ready. I wore a black dress and one of Jamie's leather jackets that he'd left at my apartment on accident, it still smelt like his musk cologne, it made my cheeks turn red.

I was putting on some nice boots and then spread some lip gloss along my lower lip, smearing it onto my top lip before fixing up my hair a little more as I grabbed my keys and started to head for the door. I never told Jamie I was going to be at the concert, even though he was already assuming I was going to be there, or so I thought.

I parked in the lot and started to merge in with the crowd as I waited, it was 6:50 now, I felt my phone buzz inside the pocket of Jamie's jacket.

hey, just wanted to say the show won't be the same without out you love, assuming you didn't get a ticket, it's alright.

Before I could even respond to Jamie's text, the concert began. He seriously thought I wouldn't show up? damn.

He started to play most their songs, there was enough time for around one more, since the show was from 7:00 to 8:15, and somehow he still hadn't seen me in the crowd, but before he started the last song, he began to speak.

"This song, is for a girl who I've loved, more than she'll ever fucking know, Happy Birthday Y/n."

His words strummed my heart like the way his played his guitars. His voice was heavy and his chest was heaving. His torso was coated with sweat and his hair was damp. He looked beautiful. But surely he meant love as in, a friend love, right?

There's no possible way he could've loved me the same way I've loved him for the past 3 years. right?

Some people clapped and cheered for him as the song began, he was playing my favorite song, the first song I'd heard from their band.

For the Thrill of It.

I felt like I couldn't move, I felt like the world was starting the blurr and I couldn't comprehend anything but Jamie, Jamie and his damp hair and passionate voice. Jamie and his band.

As he was nearing an end of the song, he'd seen me. He finally made eye contact with me. and I wasn't sure if the heat of the room was making his cheeks flush dark red or if it was me. Surely it was the room, his body was covered with sweat anyway.

"Thank you, 'town name' I love you all, you were and are perfect."

Jamie kissed his index and middle finger and faced it towards the crowd before him and the rest of the band walked off stage, people were starting to leave, but not me.

I was pushing and squeezing through the herd of people, making my way towards the back of the stage. I reached the empty stage and searched for the door they'd exited too, I opened it and looked around.

"Jamie?" I called out, but no sign back. I walked around faster, looking past corners and even spotting Sam in the distance talking to the others.

"Jamie!" I called out a little louder, as I went to turn around, I immediately bumped into something firm and almost completely fell back before a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to my original height.

It was Jamie, figures.

I looked up into his soft blue eyes, but they seemed different than normal, different than they always appeared, but I just didn't know what, couldn't figure out what.

"Jamie" I said quietly as he smiled down at me.

"yeah?"

"I think I have to tell you something."

"and what would that be, Y/n?"

I paused, feeling hesitant. I was either going to regret this with my entire life, or it would change my life in the best way.

"..I, I'm, I'm in love with you,"

My voice was small and shakey, but Jamie didn't move, his facial expression didn't change.

but before I could process what was going on, his lips were connected with mine as on of his arms lazily wrapped itself to the small of my back as my hands found his shoulders.

He pulled away from me, his eyes closed and his forehead against mine.

"I'm in love with you too Y/n."

YES omg😭😭😭😭 okay so in short, for evnne they performed all my fave songs i think i liked XO best though i think they said they had never performed it before, so that was rly exciting! i met yunseo too and he was so gorgeous and i was so nervous and shaking and he was so sweet to talk to ehhehehe he signed my copy of their debut album and said he’s having a great time in the city<3 okok and for ateez i think seeing arriba live was my fave, they were all so gorgeous but mingi was sooooo hot omggg and seonghwa was looking incredible and HONGjoong looked soo cute, soo pretty, yeosang was gorgeous and his body is sooo cunty omg, yunho was the most surprising like.. i know he’s tall but he’s sooo.. slender and big ugh, and san was… big, but he’s so🥺🥺🥺, jongho was SOO pretty too sooo handsome omgg, and wooyoung of course looked so good his hair was in a little half up ponytail the whole time although he looked kinda low energy like he still isn’t feeling super well :( i think he’s still recovering from smth.. idk.. send off was a fun experience, although slightly underwhelming, i was able to have my lanyard signed by all of the members except wooyoung, he signed my pc for me but i didn’t get to say hi or anything things were moving a little too quickly tbh😓 i was trying to be polite though, and just said hi, you did amazing, thank you to everyone but i didn’t really get a chance with wooyoung i just said thank you as he walked by :((( jongho said “thank you for coming tonight” though<33 idk if it was to me but he was rly sweet<3 and they all looked so gorgeous up close :((( also mingi confirmed likes girls with tattoos he was rizzing up the girl beside me, i wished him a happy birthday and he was like thanks and then the girl next to me told him he was gorgeous and he said “you are gorgeous too” and then said “i like tattoos” cuz she had a lot (me too but😭😭😭) i was like he better come back to get ur number bbg 😭😭😭😭

it was really incredible, i almost enjoyed the concert more though and didn’t expect too i thought send off was gonna be the highlight but the actual concert and seeing them so close while performing was super cool and fun omgg<333 i was like second row after barricade so i had a really good spot it was great i feel so grateful!

a/n: what is my work if not slightly belated! happy birthday tom, here’s a little something for you all to celebrate. I am trying to get round to reading and sharing some of the fics that I really love, try to create more love between creators and their work - hit me up with some of your favourite tom writers who I should check out! would love to hear from you! as always, stay safe and big love to you all xo 

word count: 1213 warnings: fluff fluff fluff unless you’re also having a quarter life crisis then this could be triggering (but all very playful) summary: your boyfriend, Tom, is stressed at the very idea of turning 25 and what this next stage of life means

“I’m old.”

You looked up blearily from the kitchen island where you were leaning, scrolling on your phone. It was early morning and you were still half asleep, the surprising warmth of the UK weather having kept you up all night.

“Tom, you’re not old.”

“I’m old.”

“No, you’re not.”

“Yes I am. Y’know they didn’t even ID me last night...I always get ID’d.” He mumbled into the couch cushions.

“You hate it when they ID you! Plus, you always forget your ID anyway.”

Your boyfriend was lying on his front, sprawled out on the sofa. His curly hair only just visible in amongst the cushions.

“That’s not the point, it’s the principle of it!” You could hear the deep sigh coming from the couch and put a hand over your mouth to stop from laughing. He’d been at this for the past 20 minutes or so.

“Y’know I now have to tick the ‘twenty-five and over’ box when I sign up to things? Like as if I didn’t feel bad about it already, now I get regular reminders?!”

“I mean, on the bright side...at least you’re not the ‘over’ just yet - because then we really would have a problem.”

You swiftly dodge a rogue cushion that was thrown in your direction, and watch as it hit the fridge before falling to the floor with a light thud.

“So what? You agree? You think I’m old too!”

He lifted his head briefly to scowl at you, before planting it face down into the cushions again.

You abandoned your phone on the counter, padding across the wooden floors in your socks and one of Tom’s oversized t-shirts. You kneel on the rug in front of the sofa and rest your chin on the edge.

“Oi, movie star.”

You talk softly, knowing that Tom was sporting a killer headache, his hangover being the very thing that had started this whole conversation.

He moved his head to the side to look at you, pouting.

“What?”

You reached out a hand, tangling your fingers through his soft brown curls placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.

“You’re being silly. You’re not old. But you are the birthday boy, who I might add, is in very high demand today.”

He sighs again, shifting around to lie on his back.

“Can’t I just stay with you?” He drawled out dramatically.

You laugh, as he moved up giving you space to sit on the edge of the sofa. You shake your head, hair falling out of the messy bun you’d put it in last night.

“Nope. You’ve gotta visit your parents before they leave for Scotland, plus Paddy will want to see you. And then you have golf booked with the boys. You love golf.”

“I don’t want to go. I’ll cancel and rearrange.”

He slid his arms around your torso, squeezing him into your side as he pulled you down to him. You laughed. You adored this side of Tom. He wasn’t so willing to show it off publicly, keeping your relationship away from prying eyes as much as possible but in private he was a massive soft touch, constantly craving affection and attention from you.

“No you won’t, you’ll love it when you’re there. You just have to survive without me until three.”

He mumbled his reluctant acceptance into your hair, his nose sliding down the side of your face as he nestled into you. Delicate kisses littered your eyebrow, then your cheek until he made it to your mouth.

“What was that for?”

“Because it’s my birthday, and I love you.”

“I love you too.”

You take a moment to just lie there, tangled together. You let yourself enjoy the clenched sun kissed muscles that were wrapped around you, as soft warm breaths exhaled against your cheek. If it were possible to stay like this all day you would. The curtains billowed in the tiny breeze that blew in, the large bay windows glistening with fragments of golden sunlight as the world slowly woke up.

You kept a hand playing with a coiled lock of his hair, twisting it through your fingers, watching Tom’s eyelashes flutter with sleep.

“C’mon Tom, before you fall asleep on me.”

You placed your own kisses on either side of his temples, then his forehead and along his slightly crooked nosed before regretfully sliding yourself out from his embrace.

He groaned at the loss of you. He covered his eyes with one arm, blocking out the bright sun and held the other out to you.

“I’m old, remember? Help me up?”

You laughed.

“Nice try hot shot, up you get.”

Closing his eyes and giving a deep sigh, he rolled dramatically off the sofa and to his feet.

“See,” you said cheerily, “an old person wouldn’t be able to do that as gracefully as you just did. And with a hangover too!”

You heard him mumbling to himself as he shuffled his way through the apartment, bedroom door shutting with a thud behind him.

“ - happy birthday dear Tom, happy birthday to you.”

You sung sweetly, placing the homemade cake with purple frosting on the table in front of Tom. He grinned up at you, tapping his knee and threading his fingers between yours as he pulled you into his lap.

“When did you make this?!”

He nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck, counting out the 25 flickering candles and admiring your handiwork as he traced patterns on your bare thigh. You’d just been for a romantic birthday dinner at one of Tom’s favourite Japanese restaurants in the city before coming back to yours for dessert.

You’d spent your afternoon manning your work phone whilst simultaneously baking a surprise birthday cake for Tom, piping out the happy birthday message in swirly blue icing.

“I love it. Thank you.” Tom went to blow out his candles when you quickly interrupted.

“Wait! You gotta make a wish.”

“What?”

“You have to close your eyes and make a wish.”

You watch as he closes his eyes, pauses for a couple moments and then leans forwards slightly, tightening his hands around your waist.

Opening his eyes, he blew out the candles, each one dancing above the melting wax before disappearing with an exhale.

“Do you wanna know what I wished for?”

He caresses your cheek with his hand, brushing a thumb across the light pink blush dancing across your cheekbones.

“If you tell me it won’t come true. How about I share something with you instead?

He gently tucked your hair behind your ear, tilting his head and brought his ear to your lips so you could whisper into it. Your eyes connected with each other instantly, stares intense.

“Oh really?” He questions, as your blush deepens.

Before you had a chance to realise what was happening, Tom stood up from the chair, scooping you up bridal-style as you clung to his shoulders and neck. You let out a slight squeal at the sudden movement before letting out peals of laughter.

“Where are we going exactly?” You ask, running a finger over some of the perfect buttery frosting, dolloping a smidge onto the end of his nose.

Nudging doors open with his hip, still cradling you to his chest, he made his way over to the bedroom, lightly depositing you into the middle of the king sized mattress.

“I’m going to show you what 25 really looks like.”

you told her that when you’re given a life like this, your age doesn’t matter out in the field. it’s your choices that matter. once you begin to learn the ways of a team like this and you gain each other’s respect, that’s all there is to it
