just saw a take that basically said its islamophobic that greeks dont culturally identify w the empire that conquered them, occupied them n forced their culture on them. now i can retire from the internet bc ive officially seen everything

#like there is plenty to say abt ethnonationalism n reactionism in hellenic revival movements but apparently none of u guys can b normal #if those greeks werent so damn racist they wouldve accepted the colonizer's culture as superior and embraced it 🙄#also since this is the piss on the poor website. not saying sometimes ppl arent racist abt the ottoman empire or that greeks cant b racist #but like imagine if ppl said that abt literally any other indigenous community (bc greeks were v much indigenous wrt ottoman imperialism)#again the leftist horseshoe logic where u take some valid points n issues n take them so far it turns into racism again
