Shout out to my mom for not listening to that episode of Skyjacks even though I sent it to her a month ago (and also for recognizing Tyler for voicing Bootstrap even though that was years ago)

hey @campaignskyjacks and everyone else here:

I'm bringing my mom to the GenCon live show and she hasn't listened to anything except Couriers Call. What's the best post-Nathan's-intro episode to start her in on the main feed?

#it wasn't even like 'oh was that the actor you told me about when we were listening to that episode' it was #'i recognize his voice. did he play someone on Courier's Call? was it Bootstrap? it was Bootstrap thats right'#and then i got to tell her Bootstrap's backstory all over again #also shout out to James again for being so nice to my mom /weeps #also also shout out to James again for hearing my mom using gendering language for me and not following suit #she has my express permission to do so but i cringe whenever she does in front of strangers who i'd like to see me as nonbinary #you better believe I noticed your particularly neutral wordchoice and I was glowing #i actually told my mom about it when we were eating our late dinner after the show and it was lovely to be able to #point out the exact words used as an example of neutral language. she's learning!#LASTLY shout out to me for completely forgetting to ask Jef about how he named Vercingetorix!#he was literally sitting right in front of us! I was distracted by how much I wanted to ask him about his shirt!#and then I didn't even remember to ask THAT because I was distracted by how engaging Nathan and Tyler were #I was writing little notes to the aforementioned mom to tell her who Calivar and Spit and Tony Vornskr were #but she didn't need it she was DAZZLED. these are quite possibly my two favorite actual play actors. and getting to see them work? amazing #anyway wow this tag ramble went on for way too long. i should have just made this the post #skyjacks
